I love isekai anime centered around food, especially when they're set in a fantasy world, but the plot here feels a bit all over the place. The series focuses far more on the people and their personal stories than on the food itself. I wish it spent more time exploring the dishes, ingredients, and culinary aspects of the world instead of focusing on character backstories and themes that are already common in most fantasy anime. Not really indepth character stories either, just how they found the door most of the times.
At this point, Reincarnated as a Slime feels like it has more focus on food and food culture than this anime, despite food not even being its main premise.
----- LONG VERSION
I usually enjoy isekai series that focus on food, cooking, and how cuisine influences a fantasy w…

If one word can be used to describe Restaurant from Another World, it would have to be cozy. A fun and unique take on the Isekai genre, this show is an enjoyable watch. While every episode contained it's own subplot, the show managed to remain light-hearted throughout.
Full of vibrant and in-depth descriptions of different dishes, enjoyers of Dungeon Meshi, Shokugeki No Soma, and other shows of the gourmet variety are sure to enjoy this.
With soft colors, a soothing score, and a well-varied cast of interesting characters, this is the perfect show to wind down after a long day. I recommend watching this with some good food present as it's sure to make you hungry.

Wholesome cooking anime with enjoyable character reactions, delicious-looking food, and a cozy atmosphere ultimately brought down by a strict, formulaic format, lousy worldbuilding, and tonal whiplash that betrays the wholesome tone that the show tries to set.
The show's premise revolves around a cozy Japanese Western-style diner located in Tokyo opening its doors to another world once a week. The clientele acts as the main draw of the show, serving dishes to dragons, elves, dwarves, legendary heroes, and more. Essentially, what you can expect in a typical, generic fantasy setting. It follows a mostly episodic format, focusing on the featured character's backstory, relationship with the store, and their reactions to the food they order at the restaurant. The actual process of cooking itse…

This is a slice of life about food, plain and simple. There’s no big overarching story here—just small side stories and conversations built around the dishes being served. But honestly, that’s enough to make it a relaxing and casual watch.
Artstyle-wise, it’s nothing special, but considering this anime is around eight years old, I’d say it aged pretty well. It still looks decent and fits the cozy tone.
Overall, would I recommend it? That depends. If you’re looking for something ultra chill, maybe even an anime to watch while eating dinner, this is a great pick. But if you want a deeper story, romance, or anything beyond food-centered slice-of-life, this probably won’t do it for you.

I've gained weight while watching this. 1/10
Other than my diet which got upgraded from "frozen pizza" to "frozen pizza and ready-made foods", and the recommendation to not watch this while hungry, there's not much to say about this series. Every episode has 2-3 dishes, and usually a few characters get introduced. Over time some relationships form and connections become known about some of the characters, which I found enjoyable, but nothing too major. It's a food show, it's probably only worth it for the food, but I can't compare to others since it's the first of its genre that I have watched. Overall, it was chill and enjoyable with nothing great/terrible sticking out.

don't forget to always leave a review on Saturday.
this is one of the good food anime, especially for the first season, the plot is relaxing and makes you hungry every time you watch it, even so, I can only give a score of 7 for this anime, because there are some things that are a bit unsatisfactory in this anime, such as some important strong characters that are not reunited in this anime (4 heroes, and half-elf and lionel who should be able to meet again at the restaurant, and others).
For the second season, I think it's bad, because instead of deepening the story in the first season, it adds new characters (which I also think the characters are not important and less interesting), even though there are many mysteries and stories in the first season that can be developed, or reveal cha…

Simple. Sweet. Feels like home.
Comfort anime to watch when it's raining outside eating your warm stew with hot choco.
This is an isekai anime with a twist. Once a week a resturant gets transported into another world.
In the day of Satur, adventurers, nobles and monsters get to eat into this one place and exchange pleasantries with one another. Each having a story on how they found the magical restaurant and how they chose their favourite dishes. You see them bicker and debate on the best dish on the menu. You get to feel like a casual from a comfort restaurant.
This whole series is all about how characters interact with one another and world building.
I love it. This is the anime I always return to after a long days work.

It's a cute little show about food, has interesting looking fantasy creatures, and is pleasant overall. It's not more, but not less. It's an enjoyable show. Though if you're expecting an in-depth plot, complex characters and and action, then look elsewhere. If you need a palette cleanser from a particularly tough show, or want to take a break from the usual shows that you like, then I highly recommend this series.
Warning: it's episodic. There's a new customer every episode. Some episodes are hot or miss, so also consider that. In my opinion, most of the episodes were good. It's just like 3 episodes, at the max, that were lackluster.
Second season has potential to be a very good fantasy series. With the new character each episode, they flesh out the world. Talking about regions, the co…

I could not say this anime is bady but it was like watching an identity crisis unfold on a plate. The anime clearly tries to be more than it is (and it could have been), but lacks the effort to do so. I much preferred the slight mystery, or more like lack of explanation of the earlier episodes, rather than the later episodes where the overnarration made me want to hang myself and the supposed explanations just made everything weird and less understandable.
The charavters are mostly bland, but therenare a lot of them and most of the time they are fun to watch, but there is a lot of wasted potential there. One aspect I both liked and disliked was the world building, for a chill anime about a periodically appearing restaurant from another world it actually showed a fair glimpse of the other w…

“Restaurant to Another World” is what happens when You have a lack of food porn in Your life.
One day a young, hungry demon girl, named Aletta, stumbles into a place that she has never seen before. Thinking it’s a dream she helps herself to the food she finds there. The next day she is found by the owner of the establishment. Terrified, she explains the situation and hearing her story the Owner offers her a job in his restaurant. A restaurant that has connections to different places in another world.
Let’s get this out of the way. If You want a show with an overarching plot, character arcs and goals… this is not it. You will find none of these things here. The show is episodic in nature and shows 2 short stories that go mostly nowhere, but I’ll get to that. First let’s meet the cast.

This is isekai narrowed down to its pure essence—people losing their minds over food every few minutes. I thought it would get repetitive but somehow it was funny every time. I loved seeing what foods would come up, and in what over the top ways it would be impactful to the characters.
The focus here isn’t on deep plots or characters. Instead, it’s a great chill vibe that gets you to think about everyday life from different perspectives. Despite it meandering a bit, the different storylines intersect in some interesting ways. It pulled me in and was easy to binge my way through.
If you like isekai where they introduce things to the new world, or you like calming slice of life at all, this is worth checking out.

I like anime about cooking, even though I can't cook. And this anime is one of the anime that makes me like this genre even more. They don't make this anime exaggerated, and you can still understand the setting. The story given is quite unique and not too forceful. You are not forced that their food is the best in the whole world. Each character in the anime also has a very unique story background that is different. And the most interesting thing is you feel like you know them, you wish you could get along with them. even though you weren't there.

As far as Isekai anime goes, this is somewhere in the middle of the road.
The show's Isekai restaurant premise has already been done once before, but this one is a step-up from Isekai Nobu.
The animation and character models are great for what the show tries to do but nothing that stands out so much to make this a "Top tier" Isekai anime.
The show doesn't have a plot line, only episodic tales that only gives insight to how the fantasy world works through each characters personal experiences with the main character (If we could call him that) the chef of the restaurant, offering each of his patrons hospitality followed by him serving their favourite meals. The character gives commentary on how delicious the food is and then they leave the restaurant satisfied, and that's basically the w…

I am afraid to offer a description because on paper this show has no right to work - but it does. Still, if I were to describe it I would say: It is what would happen if the old 80's show Cheers had an Anime fantasy fiction "food-porn" grandchild.
Just like food though, please don't judge it until you try it. The premise may be absurd, but it works. It is both entertaining and thought provoking and with engaging characters. More than that, it completely and blatantly dodges all of the cringy elements that plague most of the other anime in the Isekai genre (or most any anime genre for that matter). The first episode does include the "rescue the cute, homeless, and discriminated against teenaged demihuman girl" trope, but it does it with enough grace and class that it is genuinely heartwarm…

A lot of people were comparing this to food wars. I have not watched food wars because it is not really my "type". The same is true of this series. Isekai type series is really a hit or miss for people and for me it has to be out of this world, or has to be combined with another style type.
I gave it a go thinking that the supernatural/fantasy theme would be a fun twist but honestly to me it was a bit boring.
This is maybe a Shojo and also maybe slice of life. Very lighthearted with a few comedic moments throughout so it is enjoyable enough to watch. If you like this type of anime you will most likely enjoy this a lot.

is in short a feel good comfy restaurant anime where every person has there own story.
it not over the top or flashy like most anime's now a days.
the art style is pleasing to watch.
story wise it isn't fully focus on food but also the characters that order them and there live out of the restaurant.
its a isekai so a lot of fantasy creatures.
so if your searching for a relax, nice, delicious looking anime that may heat up your heart from the cold real world then step in and have a seat this is the anime for you.

The idea has merit, but all it does is repeat itself over and over.
There's a wide range of characters, most with one single trait they share as the same:impatience, like much of the real world dining experience. There's a nice slide between each different world for each character and where they hail from, but that's about all the novelty you'll see.
The idea has merit, but all it does is repeat itself over and over.
The intro is nice, though there's not much to it. There's often WAY too much dialog that fills space between each of the 2-episode per full episode format.
The idea has merit, but all it does is repeat itself over and over.

imagine food wars, just wholesome and non-sexual. if you're into chill animes without much action then this would be perfect, it's very easy to binge and it also keeps you entertained without feeling repulsive or boring after a while. this probably won't be your cup of tea if you prefer action packed, fighting animes but honestly its worth giving a shot. the food shown looks delicious and maybe you'd even learn a thing or two about dishes by watching it.
the character designs were pretty cute, so were their personalities. they had the right amount of wholesome-ness, and it kind of showed racism (but with species) and overcoming being ashamed of who you are. aletta was a good example, being looked down upon for being a demon but being able to be in a safe space where it doesnt matter and ev…

It's all the reactions to food of Shokugeki no Souma with none of the shounen battle anime tropes.
Food in anime always somehow manages to look 1000x more appetizing than the boring old plain food we have in our everyday lives. Something about the nature of the art style or the medium of animation just amplifies it's visual appeal to something unachievable even by the most skilled marketing tacticians in the real world. The rendered menu pictures at a restaurant, though just as artificial, could never live up to the food you see here.
I think a large part of the reasoning is that you can't really portray accurately the way something smells or tastes just from seeing it. Because the visuals are the only thing they can rely on, in order to properly convey just how amazing this dish is they…

I absolutely love this anime. Not only is it an Isekai with actual likable characters but it has great foods and amazing side characters.
Each episode tells a story of the patrons who arrive at the restaurant to another world and I just love how they get their own moments.
Isekais like re:zero, konosuba, cautious Hero, SAO, reincarnated slime, problem children, ect. have overconfident and boring main characters. Overpowered characters are the worst and isekais and harem prove that, but when I watched Restaurant to another world I was hooked on the show.
Story: It's a reverse Isekai/Isekai anime where different creatures (Hybrids, mythical creatures, ect!) Go to eat at a restaurant from another world. The story does seem dull but it's a unique concept on its own 9/10
Art: The art style is…
