Issho ni Sleeping: Sleeping with Hinako

Issho ni Sleeping: Sleeping with Hinako

Introduction

Once again happy to have someone watching her from the real world, Hinako wants to spend some quality time together with her viewer, even though it is quite late. Unwilling to let the opportunity pass her by, she allows her viewer to sleep alongside her. Over the course of the night, Hinako offers the viewer a rare intimate look at her various nighttime habits. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

Strange… and I say this even considering the phase of my life when I consumed a lot of strange anime without questioning anything. Issho ni Sleeping: Sleeping with Hinako is one of those works that seems to exist specifically for an extremely particular niche. And when I say particular, it's because the entire premise revolves around something very simple: you assume the perspective of someone sharing a room with Hinako while she… sleeps. That's it. There's no grand narrative, conflict, development, or objective beyond the experience proposed by the anime. The camera remains following the character during everyday moments of rest, trying to create closeness with the viewer through an interactive idea. It's almost a first-person simulation more than a traditional anime. The problem is t…

"Slow cinema is a genre of art cinema characterized by a style that is minimalist, observational, and with little or no narrative, and which typically emphasizes long takes. It is sometimes called "contemplative cinema"." This is the Wikipedia description for slow cinema, a most than accurate term for what this anime is. Issho ni training was only a bite of what this OVA series has to offer. The second in the Maiden Japan Hinako: complete collection, Issho ni sleeping is not experimental cinema, is art cinema. A kind of art that challenges the viewer. If "training" reminded me Bela Tarr's Turin horse because of the constant repetition of actions, this is more like Sátántangó, (sure has more in common to Andy Warhol's works, but I haven't seen them), contemplative scenes with only a low s…

Well, how can I say it's basically an ASMR in anime form in a 40 minute OVA, if you like this type of content it's a way to spend your time. Issho ni Sleeping: Sleeping with Hinako has a trace for the time in which it was developed but seriously this is the last thing you would expect to worry about along with the development of our only present character. (Hinako), However, the very few interactions she has with us bring a little depth and richness to the work, even though it doesn't change anything at all. In addition to the things mentioned above, it is worth mentioning that we basically have a special for fans of the ecchi genre, and if by any chance you like ASMR/ECCHI, which is a slightly different combination, this title is definitely for you.

Didn't put me to sleep at all. 😔 This girl needs to go to an asylum with all of the ghosts she's been seeing, as shown in the fridge seen. Why does she see them? A sequel is needed to explain this??? Very curious? Does she do this every night? I need answers! Are we a ghost? Sleep paralysis demon? Groundhog day ending? How? Does she escape? Do we escape? Should we escape?? Why??? Very disappointing... 😔 If you're looking to sleep, I'd recommend I heard crying yourself to sleep helps! Ok, gonna go play genshin impact hope I get Mona, i've only been able to get men and I'm not gay like that so I'm wanting something epic

The great country of Japan has truly blessed mankind with this. This anime is maybe the most atmospheric piece of visual media I have ever seen. You can truly feel as if you are lying right there beside Hinako, who is perhaps one the most well-developed female characters in anime. The creators effort shows in presentation filling her with the charm and giving her guise required to be fully lost in this 40+ minute long roller coaster. Story (10/10): A perfect full circle. It's very relatable and its something you will think back to time and again. That's about all that needs to be said. The story isn't without your typical tropes of the genre, but it is presented magnificently and paced so well. Art (10/10): Jesus, what beautiful artwork we have here, the color palate is very soothing…

This is literally the weirdest thing I have ever seen. I honestly recommend it. Not in the "watch the entire thing way" Oh god no just like, skim it. It's a good laugh at the very least. If you laugh at it. I can't imagine why it actually exists. The "logical" assumption is that it was meant to fall asleep with but it's interrupted so many times that can't possibly be it. And even then I don't think it's long enough to be for sleeping either. It's talking directly to you but the camera angles don't really even support that idea. And why the panty shots....? I have so many questions. 10/10.

So in my retarded quest to watch the most retarded animes ever made, I found Sleeping With Hinako. Apparently, she was in a workout video and then one where you can watch her bathe, so this is the logical next step. Japan, you absolute mad lad. Disclaimer: I am not a lonely young man who desires the attention of a moe girl character, so I am not the intended audience. I'm a grown-ass woman who is on a quest to watch retarded anime. Back to the show. The fourth wall no longer exists. You are with Hinako now. What next? Hinako tries to show us how to sleep, but she's actually pretty bad at it. Watch her have wacky misadventures such as: rolling over, blinking too much, holding your imaginary hand, falling off her bed twice, singing you a lullaby, rolling over and hugging a pillow, getting…

This Anime made me laugh so fricking hard!!!! Aye, If you wanna laugh towards the middle and end... watch this! She literally slept for 15 minutes or so and they reuse the same shots throughout xD. On top of that every time it's morning and she says "see you next time"! the cycle repeats and she shuts off the alarm hops on the scale and it's the same 2-minute video we just saw a second ago xD. This happens at least 4 times! xDDDd too funny!!! Don't expect the anime to be the best ecchi in the world just watch it for fun!

Training with Hinako sold really well, selling out on release day, so Studio Hibari, the company behind the first OVA, decided to make a sequel to capitalize on the first, releasing it a quick 7 months after the first. This time around, instead of exercise, you're now falling asleep with Hinako, assuming that you're all tired out from the exercises from the first one. Or you're watching her as she sleeps, depending on what you're doing under those bed covers of yours. Much like the first OVA, Sleeping with Hinako is a few bits of original animation, like Hinako talking to you while you're both in bed, a few moments from the first OVA followed by on a scale to see if she's losing the weight, to her brushing her teeth, her dreaming about snacks, and her getting up to go to the fridge to get…

Story 10 The story was about a female protagonis who was in love with a hotdog salesman. The love is mutual and one they the man goes to the house of the protagonis, then they decide to sleep together and eat sauseges untill the night is over. Art 10 The art was amazing. from the cracks in the wall to all the diffrent kind of sauseges. Sound 10 I especially like the sound that came from all the sausage eating, in the bed. But all the sound in general was amazing. Character 10 My favorite character was ofcourse the hotdog salesman, which is the case because my favorite food is sauseges. All his diffrent lines were just trully amazing. Enjoyment 10 My enjoyment was at the max level from start to finish it was amazing, even though the ending was really hard on my heart, I will not spoil th…

"...without precedent in the purity of its confrontation with the essence of cinema: the relationships between illusion and fact, space and time, subject and object. It is the first post-Warhol, post-Minimal movie; one of the few films to engage those higher conceptual orders which occupy modern painting and sculpture. It has rightly been described as a ‘triumph of contemplative cinema.'" --Gene Youngblood, L.A. Free Press Highly recommended for fans of Warhol's seminal works of structural film, "Sleeping" and "Taylor Mead's Ass." Obviously for the uninitiated, this will just seem like academic wankery. Which is a shame because the film really says something very important about cinema and the way we consume film. In a very self-referential way, the film explores voyeurism. For example,…

In this anime, you get to watch a overly-enthusiastic school girl sleep with you while acting like a 5-year-old. Making nasily "ehee" noises with this face: =^_^=. Thus begins a 50-minute mystery journey that ends with a stunning revelation: Issho ni Sleeping: Sleeping with Hinako is a prequel to Bleach, and a sequel to the movie Inception. Hear me out... First of all, you can, and DO, teleport. Very often. Maybe you're a camera wearing a human disguise, maybe you're a wizard! Who wouldn't want to sleep with a wizard!? Maybe that's why she thinks she's five, you put a spell on her, you dirty old man, you! This then goes into random dreams while she shows just how unhealthy her sleeping is by waking up every five minutes. Then she gets 3AM-horny and wants to kiss you, proceeds to ignor…

This review contains minor plot spoilers. View at your own discretion. Post modernism is an art movement that seeks to deconstruct and subvert existing pre-cognitions of modern art. I feel that the first half of Sleeping with Hinako is a post-modernist masterpiece. While the second half of Hinako is an offense to the viewer as much as it is a complete betrayal and reconstruction of the theme it tried so hard to explore and critiqued. In fact, it wouldn't surprised me if both halves were written by different people. For post modernism to exist, it has to be compared to a modernist work. For Hinako, this means that in order to properly judge and review it, one must compare it to a modernist work that Hinako was made in response to, this being of course the Slice of Life Genre of anime prev…

Technically, I did not watch this anime - the only reason I saw this anime was because someone else (The BlackCriticGuy) did a reaction video, and they played the video up in the top corner. However, I saw enough to have an opinion on it. If I had to give Sleeping with Hinako credit for one thing, it's this: it literally has the most honest title of any anime. Mainly because for the most part, it's literally 40 minutes of a girl sleeping. Sure, there are some dream sequences every now and then, and there are a few moments where the pair of boobs named Hinako (seriously, the fact that she has big boobs is the only thing that I can remember about her) wakes up and does something (the one thing I remember was her getting a midnight snack - I'm pretty sure that there was something else she go…

Overview: Back in the year 1963, the famous Avant Garde artist Andy Warhol decided to make a movie that was nothing but 6 straight hours of a man sleeping. Fans of the Dada movement, which often embraced absurdly stupid and pretentious art, thought it was a masterpiece. In the year 2010, the blockheads at Primastea studios produced "Sleeping with Hinako", which is 45 minutes of watching a moe girl with big boobs sleeping. However, there is a bit of a difference between the 2. In defense of Andy Warhol, he was making a film unlike any other that had been made to that point. The purpose of Dada after WW1, was to embrace the notion of absurdism, that life has no meaning and we are all stuck in a fundamentally insane and totally absurd world. Both Dada and Absurdism were born in part from th…

This review is going to perform the function of an analysis more so than a review, because you probably already know everything you need to know about the content from the synopsis and other reviews. However, I am writing this because I feel that Issho ni Sleeping is a very misunderstood OVA. At first glance, it is a complete waste of 20 minutes that is focused solely on fanservice. However, I believe that rather than having the goal of providing entertainment to its audience, Issho ni Sleeping's true intention is to convey a deeper message to viewers: Issho ni Sleeping is primarily a critique on the anime industry as a whole and some of the characteristics that have sadly become all too common in anime nowadays. Did you get the feeling that nothing was really happening as you were watc…

Have you ever had that feeling that you were being watched? Hinako does, in fact she is being closely watched... BY YOU! Yes, for about 45 minutes you stare at this klutzy girl snoozing and you have never seen anything more magnificent. From the constant camera switches to show off Hinako's better sides to the dream sequences, you would never guess that this was a plot to troll the biggest anime fans. The best way to watch this time waster is to riff on it MST3K style. Without that, you may just doze off yourself, a fate far better than watching this anime.

Ladies and gentlemen (mostly gentlemen I presume?) we have before us a OVA that can be discribed with two words: fanservice and boring. The fanservice part is rather obvious and doesn't really require any explanation, panty-shots, cleavage-shots and such. Now for the boring part, this is because NOTHING FUCKING HAPPENS!!!! I think I actually fell asleep during this so there you have it. As for the only good thing I can say about this piece of shit is the art and sound: they suit their purposes rather well, though I don't care enough to explain. All in all this is shit but you must see something like this if you really want to see just how dumb anime can get (not disliking anime in general but this is just nuts)

I honestly do wonder about what goes through the minds of animators regardless of what they're animating. Obviously, they'd have to be into it to really do their jobs, and the “Isshoni” titles are no exception. Whether because of the budget or because it's cheap, there's not much that needed to be animated since anything could be put on loop and reused, or just be a screenshot that looked like it was finished in at least an hour. Would it be something they'd be proud of to put on a résumé because they enjoyed animating it? Were anything of them thinking it was the most boring thing they ever worked on, but at least it would pay the bills? Or if they knew it was the most boring thing they ever worked on, but it made them horny, so it was worth the hours to pay the bills? “Training with Hina…
