JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders - Battle in Egypt

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders - Battle in Egypt

Introduction

Joutarou Kuujou and his allies have finally made it to Egypt, where the immortal Dio awaits. Upon their arrival, the group gains a new comrade: Iggy, a mutt who wields the Stand "The Fool." It's not all good news however, as standing in their path is a new group of Stand users who serve Dio, each with a Stand representative of an ancient Egyptian god. As their final battle approaches, it is a race against time to break Joutarou's mother free from her curse and end Dio's reign of terror over the Joestar family once and for all.

I missed the JoJo train when it was the new hotness, only hearing about it in passing, seeing the memes, and occasionally walking in on roommates and friends watching it from time to time. Up until this point, i would've been hard pressed to say this franchise was anything special. The first two parts weren't bad, but they really didn't grab me the way I had assumed they would. This is the season where I really "got it". The first half of Stardust Crusaders was also good, but this part was the first to really wow me. It was around the level of silly I was expecting, but also had a lot more heart than I was expecting. I actually gave a damn about what was happening to pretty much the entire cast here. Before this season I was a little on the fence about whether or not I'd want to see JoJo…

Finally, we get to Egypt to face the vampire Dio. My review on the first half of Jotaros story showed that I didn’t think it was great, it was ok. Felt way too dragged on with villain of the week episodes. So what did I think about this Egypt arc? I think it was slightly better than the previous half. The biggest issue I had before was with the villain of the week episodes, but here they do a better job. Some of the stand users they fight feel more integrated into the story, thus leading to development in the story when they defeat them. So the story improved here a bit. The characters are pretty much the same, while I liked Polneraff and Avdol, I felt like the others were lacking in development. I guess I could say the rest were still enjoyable enough, but could’ve been better and impro…

The final part of Jotaro and his allies' journey to Egypt delivers one of the most iconic moments in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. This continuation of Part 3 is, without a doubt, my favorite, and the reason is simple: it's the most memorable phase of the entire series. The confrontation between Jotaro and Dio not only marked anime history but also boosted the series' popularity, both in the manga and the animated adaptation. In fact, it was this clash that made me fully immerse myself in the JoJo universe. This season brings together the final battles of the part and features extremely memorable confrontations. Besides the great villain Dio, we have memorable fights like Iggy against Pet Shop, the mind games against the D'Arby brothers, among others. Each battle presents unique and creative…

This will be a shortened review due to the fact that most elements mentioned in the first half are relevant in this second half too. When the team arrives in Egypt with the incentive that has been given, the climax is near. They get given a gift for assistance to fight against Dio's bonus team of stands. Within this part of the arc, everyone gets tested. Jotaro becomes more strategic rather than reactionary. Polnareff becomes more human rather than a prideful warrior, Kokyoin becomes more brave than scared. The only two who don't have a need for character changes were Avdol and Joseph. It makes sense because they're the oldest two members in the team and their ways either get them stuck or progress the team further. This arc is the beginning of seeing entertaining light filler episodes…

“You made just one mistake, DIO. You pissed me off.” It’s very hard to resist giving this season 5 stars, but the ~10 episodes between “Geb” and “Osiris” are just kind of whatever. Some of the Tarot Stands are really boring too, like the Stand that’s literally just a car or literally just a boat. But EVERYTHING else is sublime. This is the first part to establish a “gang”, a core group of characters that travel together or cross paths frequently. They’re all great in their own ways, even if Polnareff does overshadow the others a bit, especially towards the end. Jotaro is cool, Joseph is excellent as usual. The real selling point of Stardust Crusaders are the Stand fights, and they are incredible. The wide variety of Stand abilities make the fights more varied and dynamic than the Hamon…

This part of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is a true blessing to comedy as we know it. It is jam-packed with memes and jokes that, as they are corny, still bring everyone to laughter. The storytelling is amazing and never felt outdated, even though the story was made quite a while back. The art style is its own topic, it is absolutely stunning and very unique. The art style isn't something the average viewer would see on a daily basis, but it still keeps the charm Araki put into it. Every fight is very thought out and well animated, while still keeping its humoristic charm. The characters remained funny even in the toughest of battles. I personally believe that this series is great, and would recommend it to any person looking into the JoJo's Franchise.

This is the part when you would always say either "ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA" or "MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA." But I always said both, and sometimes added, "ZA WARUDO, TOKI WO TOMARE!". It was so much of a brain rot that I couldn't stop myself from shouting it. I would give a solid 9/10 for this part, including the pre-Egypt arc. The adventure, drama, and action were so good, compare to the first and second parts. The main character, Jotaro, is also different compared to Joseph or Jonathan. He is calm and cool in every situation, I think that is also the reason why Star Platinum is so powerful. The ending is also satisfying. Some may feels sad, but in general, that is what it should be—nothing comes without a price. I'm looking forward for the next part; it must be so good.

One of the greatest anime and manga in the history of Japan. (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure) Part 3: (Stardust Crusader) The part that started the greatness and the second best part after Part 7. We got to know unforgettable characters like Abdul, Kakyouin, Polnareff, and Eiji. And finally, the hero of the part, who defeated the opponent who could not defeat his grandfather and his great-grandfather: Dio Brando! He wiped the floor with his generosity and proved that his stand is one of the ten strongest masters in the story. The ending is very wonderful and happy, with the deaths of several characters, but I am happy and satisfied with it. The characters that appeared here, as I mentioned, like Polnareff, Abdul, and Kakyouin , are absolutely unforgettable. My adventures with them lasted 35…

This particular season of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure brings me to life. It's very easy for me to admit this is one of the best seasons of anime I have ever seen in my life. The character design might be basic, but the art style is really stylistic, and you notice it during really epic and detailed action sequences. The story is intense enough to keep you locked in tight, so that you see it through to the end. The classic rock references keep things lighthearted and relatable, even when things are scary and huge. All of these aspects coalesce to bring the viewer a fantastic viewing experience. You grow very attached to pretty much every (good) character in this season, making their struggles and downfalls very emotional. If you like your anime to make you feel emotions, the Egypt run of the…

[!] THIS REVIEW COMBINES BOTH HALFS OF PART 3 INTO ONE BECAUSE REVIEWING EACH INDIVIDUALLY IS POINTLESS [!] Kujo Jotaro. He possesses a purple ghost—stunning revelation, I know. ‘ahem’ Stardust Crusaders is probably the most iconic JoJo part by a margin and might be the start of the franchise being one of the most iconic Shounen series ever. It introduces an ambitious yet impactful concept that’s unlike any other anime/manga series, and it has been a prevalent element ever since. Some viewers might have started it as their first part because of those things as well as the shitposting that still hold up to this day. Anyway, this was the one part I was interested in the most when it was announced. Parts 1 and 2 were already strong enough to catch and hold my attention, but Part 3 might be…

the most abysmal final fight ever and ending, the journey of part 3 in of itself is extremely mediocre, so much uninteresting and bland sides stories that felt too dragged out. but Dio and Jotaro writing and dynamics is so incredibly poorly written, bland, one noted and stale. The amount of plot holes was infuriating. its sad cus this build up was so long and meant to be such an interesting, exciting and legendary confrontation but ended up to be the most disappointing and extremely generic stupid power fantasy conclusion and fight in all of shonen anime and manga. music and animation was pretty good tho.

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure stands, in my opinion, as the greatest manga I've had the pleasure of experiencing. However, Stardust Crusaders, despite being the most iconic part of the series, is not its best offering. It occupies an awkward position where it showcases many of the manga's signature elements but also highlights some of its weaker aspects. Though it's undeniably important for the development of the series, it's not as refined as later parts. The introduction of a new, experimental power system, combined with pacing issues, affects its overall quality. Nonetheless, this part is crucial as it wraps up the original trilogy and lays the groundwork for everything that comes after. With that said, let’s delve into what Stardust Crusaders is about and the themes it explores. We'll also…

Honestly? This part kind of sucks. I haven't yet watched the next parts, but compared to the first two Stardust Crusaders is a stinker. Story Premise: 7/10 A group of people with superpowers go to fight The Bad Guy to save the main character's mother. It's simple, but it works, at least for the most part. Execution: 5.5/10 The strongest points are the beginning and the ending. The middle feels bloated, what with how many enemy stand users the main characters have to defeat. The first season is worse when it comes to the pacing, every episode introducing a new enemy. Some of them have interesting abilities that you won't forget, but most of them are just straight up bad and so forgettable. They feel more like stepping stones and less like actual challenges. The jokes: 3/10 A lot of the c…

It worked well as an "introduction" to the bizarre in JoJo, to the more crazy stands and fights. The "badass" protagonist was a cool attempt that divided opinions, mainly because people think he has no personality, although it is more likely that most people like it, it is worth noting that he may be not as interesting as the previous protagonist. The characters of the "crusaders", as the main group is called, are all unique and their dynamic is great, the only one that can leave something to be desired is Avdol, who had few episodes focused on him, with no fight or arc of his own , while others like Polnareff had at least one. It is interesting the return of Joseph, the last protagonist, as part of the main group but not the main protagonist, in addition the characters and their abilitie…

Part three is perhaps the most iconic season of JoJo which despite leaving an undeniable impact on anime as a whole, fails to live up to modern anime standards and suffers from poor pacing and an inconsistent tone. For what it’s worth, part three starts out fine. The premise is interesting enough and stands are a unique power system that bring a good level of tension and excitement to the fights. The main issue this series suffers from is the pacing. The series starts out with Jotaro's mom, Holly, being afflicted with a serious, time sensitive, and life-threatening Stand which sets the plot in motion. You feel a sense of urgency, Jotaro and Joseph have to save Holly before time runs out. The show even makes a big point to say that she doesn’t have much time. So what does the rest of the…

! minor spoilers ! (Like really minor, but still watch out) Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders 2nd Season is as the name suggests the second season of Part 3 and therefore the conclusion to Part 3. It is one of the most legendary and iconic part of the series, so iconic, that many scenes are even known outside the Jojo fandom. The season has iconic, funny, exciting and emotional moments which makes it one of the best seasons in Jojo's. After my reviews about Part 1&2 and Part 3 First Season, I'm finally ready to talk about the second season of Part 3. So relax, take a drink and have fun reading! Story 8,5/10: The Crusaders finally arrive in Egypt, after long days of fighting Stand users, travelling the world and always having to overcome difficult situations. Their goal now is…

Talking about the whole of Part 3 meaning both 1 and 2 season: It's good and I get why it's prety much everyones favourite season but the problem is that for once instead of not having enough we maybe have to much stuff. I think it ends up dragging every now and then and could've been condensed by just a little bit. HOWEVER - it totally makes up with its fun plot and enjoyable characters. Not to mention the epic finale and wrap up that everyone loves. I can't really complain to much, it's a good car trip journey where a group of super muscular men with imaginary friends need to fight the fabulous vampire overlord who took over their dead mega buff grandad's body (in Egypt).

Stardust Crusaders, baby! Probably the quintessential JoJo part, as it contains everything that made this series legendary distilled to its purest form - Stands, wacky battles, epic action, adventure, high stakes, great characters and a sprinkling of humour to boot. The anime adaptation is almost flawless - it's faithful to the manga, the animation and artstyle are fantastic and iconic and the voice acting and music have achieved legendary status for a reason. I only think that it's a bit too stretched, part 3 is not longer than parts 4 or 5 in the manga, it didn't need to have so many more episodes. Granted, spitting in into two seasons upon arriving in Egypt makes sense, but in some moments, it feels a bit stretched out. It's not a big deal though and the viewing experience is consistent…

In the second half of Stardust Crusaders, there are typically two paths a viewer can travel upon: They can either grow weary of the same typical plot beats being rehashed over and over again ad nauseum, or they can put that past them and enjoy the absolutely balls to the walls action. This show offers the single most adrenaline out of any anime I've ever seen without fail, and everything that was problematic in the first season either is only as bad as it once was or gets better with time. The many emotional beats of this season hit harder than the last and the characters are just as charming as they were in season one, and by far this season has the greatest and most ridiculous final battle out of any in the series (may be subject to change if Stone Ocean ever finishes). That being said…
