Legend of crimson brings back more of the silly unserious story that we know from previous seasons, along with a lot of important exposition about the world that Kazuma inhabits: We find out more about the tinkerer who built the mobile fortress destroyer and his power, Megumin's/Yunyun's background, the source of the Crimson demons, more about another Devil's general, etc... We also see a lot of relationship developments related to Megumin. We start off the story with a horde of horny monsters attempting to rape Kazuma...
To be frank, this is where I'm stopping with Konosuba, I'm tired of the same jokes being recycled over and over (Darkness=Horny over everything, Kazuma=Pervert, Aqua=Self-absorbed & cowardly, Megumin=Explosions & being an over-sexualized minor. Everything oversexualized,…

WATCH BEFORE SEASON 3 yes this is important I didn’t think it was but the first 10 seconds off-season three have stuff to do with the movie. So I had to go watch this.
Classic konosuba how I describe it if I should watching the series 2 but for an hour and a half but with one plot it’s pretty good and you should enjoy it if you’re this far to the series
The movie self focuses mainly on Megumin to be fair as it’s her village and her family but it doesn’t over shadow the other characters so don’t worry about that. It is just more of the same stuff. We can expect. From this series
The jokes the story and the character is all the same and it’s literally a case of if it’s not broken don’t fix it
Overall, I liked it. It was good and now I’m gonna watch season three.

Why Is My Hometown Full Of Chūnibyō?
It's more konosuba and story of works perfectly for movie length. so we are having a good time tonight.
The comedy is still some of the strongest is anime and hits the nail on the head every time to make me laugh, so I would very heavily recommended on that.
It's insane how well they combine story and comedy, and how the main character kazuma is so funny in every place to put him. he worked so well as the perverted Hero
The new characters in the movie the Crimson demons are so fun and over the top. They have that over the top protagonist vibe and it is so funny. if the dub or sub it doesn't matter, it's so fun.
The biggest place you can see the movie budget is the background they look so nice in the movie. Most of the movie it looks the same as the…

The KonoSuba movie exceeded my expectations in every way possible! As a huge fan of the series, I was excited to dive back into the world of Axel and witness more of Kazuma's misadventures.
The movie's premise, centered around Megumin's hometown and family, was a brilliant choice. We finally get to see Megumin's vulnerable side and her adorable family dynamics. Her parents, oh man... they had me dying laughing! The interaction between Kazuma and Megumin's parents was pure gold.
But what truly stood out was the subtle yet significant development between Megumin and Kazuma. It's clear the writers are setting her up as the main heroine, and rightfully so! Megumin understands and appreciates Kazuma in ways Aqua and Darkness don't. Their chemistry is undeniable, and I ship them hard!
Aqua, a…

The movie of Konosuba was such a fun time, but that doesn't mean it comes without its downsides. For example, Kazuma is almost raped by a bunch of Orc women, and not only does it feel in very poor taste, but it is extremely hard to watch due to how they try to pass it off as a humorous joke. That's the only real bad thing I have to say regarding the movie, but I still have gripes with it. Like small moments of characters not acting like themselves (Darkness who's afraid that the Demon Army has shown up). But the majority of the movie was very enjoyable. The humor revolving around the stupidity but overpowered nature of the Crimson Demons was well done, even further reinforced when we learn about their origin. This movie just about solely focuses on Megumin, Yunyun, and Kazuma. Aqua and Dar…

Pretty much feels like one of the episodes just stretched out and with a bit more plot to it. First 2/3 of the movie were just another fun episode but I think it started getting too much into an actual plot and antagonist that felt a bit forced. Movie was still just as funny as a regular episode and I enjoyed it. Animation you could tell was better thanks to the budget of the movie, even went all out for a cool little fight scene at the end. Good amounts of actual character development took place which was kind of surprising but I'm all for it.

Essentially playing like an episode of the show but stretched out to feature length, Konosuba Legend of Crimson offers an explosion of laughs, colour and all-around fun for fans both new and old. It definitely feels like the franchise has not lost any of the pep in its step, there's a fine balance between treating its characters with disrespect and love and it's something you can only experience with this franchise. Because the film has such a deep love for its characters, it has no problem making them as ridiculous as possible for a good laugh. The characters move with impressive fluidity and, because there's an inherent sense of ridiculousness throughout, the film has no problem contorting the faces and the bodies of its characters to better punctuate a gag with fun visuals. This also ex…

An added half-season 2.5 in one long episode for Konosuba. The same thing but with even more explosions. If you liked the anime watch it. If you think it was meh, watch it for Megumin (best girl).
Animation is the same but because there is a lot of "superior magic" instead of standard combat, it was far above your average episode.
The jokes are on par with the rest, but I think it was funnier here. I like how they developed more the Destroyer's creator and Megumin, but the rest of the team isn't developed at all. They still have a problem with character development : I think Megumin was developed more in 1h30 than Kazuma in 2 seasons.
In the second half, it becomes far too epic compared to the rest of the anime, but the comedy aspect is reduced a lot. However, it's still a parody of a re…

Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! Movie: Kurenai Densetsu takes the familiar formula of the anime series and condenses it into a compact 1.5-hour runtime. The overall movie maintains a great pace throughout and showcases moments of stunning animation and vibrant set pieces. What truly stands out about this movie is its ability to expand the overall world of the series. It humorously explores different areas and cleverly connects them to the story. Additionally, it surprises viewers with thoughtful additions to the depth of several characters. Yunyun and Megumin, who previously had little substance, are further explored, enriching the comedic and overly dramatic moments the series is beloved for. Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! Movie: Kurenai Densetsu is a heartfelt tribute to f…

Quite a few years ago I watched KONOSUBA 1 and 2, and I spent the past couple of days rewatching them in order to finally watch this movie. I believe my first watch was rushed, and little attention was given to detail. However, this show specializes in its detail, adding several layers of comedy for our enjoyment. I love the consistency and humor of the show, and how rare it is to genuinely dislike a character, no matter how annoying they get.
The movie felt like it was at a similar level of quality as the seasonal anime, which was fine and expected, and it was undoubtedly as hilarious as ever (I'm sure the quality was higher in a lot of aspects, but I really didn't focus on that for KONOSUBA, especially since it's already pretty high quality in the first place). I don't see art as beauti…

Konosuba is the perfect example of how far a show can go without any direction. Absent any plot and world-building developments, Kadokawa has created yet another grand medium. This movie does all the original series does, but it's basically the Megumin and Yunyun special. There were many romantic and ecchi themes in the movie, more so than the original series. But you know that all of it is gag humor, which typically seems like it would make for something annoying. Nope. not with konosuba. Konosuba's anti-climactic moments hit the spot, every time something serious is about to happen, gag humor comes in. And I love it quite frankly. There isn't too much to say, if you like konosuba, drop everything you are doing and watch this movie. If you don't like konosuba (said nobody ever), you proba…

Let me start by saying that i really enjoyed this movie. The Konosuba series once again managed to give us something that was truly worth watching.Although,in my opinion,it was not perfect.
Story -6/10-
Storytelling was never konosuba's strong point.Similarly to the first two seasons, the movie's storyline was really simple and nothing too deep.Without spoiling anything, the gang simply decided to visit megumin's village and once they arrive they battle some enemies there and...that's pretty much it.Of course, creating a detailed and deep plot was never what konosuba was really about since it's strong point is it's comedy, but still,i can't rate this story any higher than that because it wasn't anything impressively written.
Art and Sound -7/10-
Both the art and sound were good. There was not…

Since Konosuba is finally getting a season 3, I thought I would finally go back and watch this film in celebration of that announcement. What sets this movie apart from other anime movies is that this is actually a canon story that is from the novel.
The movie does end up feeling more like 4-5 episodes of the show stitched together then an actual movie. Especially considering that the animation quality is more or less the same as the show and not remotely better.
However, that isn't necessarily bad as that means it inherits all the things that we loved from the show. The comedy is still on point, the characters are lovable dummies and the over the top nature of everything is still here. It's basically just half a season of Konosuba and that's fine.

It's Konosuba with a higher budget. The animation in this movie is the peak of character animations as they come. Many people say that this movie has bad animation and any animator can tell you this is not the case. Animation is not made exclusively for taking screenshots, it's for movement that can tell you what someone is feeling without any use of dialogue if needed and this movie fully embraces that.
Not to mention there are plenty of great animated moments accompanied by stellar music that can make you genuinely excited for a scene in a comedy movie.
With all that said though, as someone who has read the Light Novels it was a bit weird to see some really funny and heartfelt moments cut but if you're an anime only or you don't mind nitpicking, this movie can be a perfect 10.

This was basically an extension of the show in the form of a movie instead of split up into episodes, which fair enough - it definitely isn't the worst anime movie I've seen, especially because the feel of the movie was very consistent with the actual seasons of the show and everyone was in character, plus the narrative of it felt as relevant as it could to a relatively plot-less isekai.
I could have done without them trying to make Kazuma and Megumin a thing, as it definitely wasn't needed, and once more Kazuma proves how absolutely useless he is. This seems very consistent with the stereotypical isekai so I don't understand the hype surrounding the show, but it's definitely one you don't have to take seriously and can kind of switch off to, which I can appreciate in its own right.

Quick take: Legend of Crimson offers a ton more laughs while wrapped up in the most complex story line Konosuba has offered to date. Again, character interaction and situational humor drives the movie and is the funniest installment of Konosuba to date.
Legend of Crimson builds on what season 1 and 2 did and does it exceptionally better. Situational humor and jokes remain plentiful and I laugheda lot during the movie, which is usually difficult to make me do. Comedy aside, I found the story to be the best yet, which lead to a lot of enjoyment watching the movie.
I found the art to be enjoyable and better than the average anime from the late 2010s. I also found the sound to be enjoyable as well. The music was good and never distracting and the OP was nice to hear. The acting (English) was…

I came into this film thinking it'd be pretty much the same as TV series and OVAs. I'm happy to admit that I was conclusively mistaken in that regard.
Story - 9/10
Keeping in mind that Konosuba is still a comedy/ parody in concept, I wasn't expecting anywhere near as much context and background story content as we got given. It was really good to see more explanations behind character origins and how they tied into the current events. Generally speaking, the quest that forms the main focus for the latter half of the film is pretty well put together, especially considering that it for a good part took me by surprise, in terms of the decisions made my some characters, heh Why is not a 10/10? It is a bit predictable in places, though I'll admit the comedic value that it provides makes it fo…

This is a review from a big fan of Konosuba and I was really excited to finally watch this movie. I love Konosuba and think it's amazing and deserving of praise, but this movie was just awful.
The animation wasn't bad and the sound was pretty good, but the jokes and the story were good awful. None of the jokes hit the same way as in the series and the story was just boring. I hated how they made everyone just another Megumin in the clan and I have some questions for this movie.
Why did all the users in the clan not have to use staves except for Megumin? Aqua also uses a staff and other magic users use them as well. So why does the entire Crimsion clan not use them? I get that Wiz doesn't use them but it made a bit of sense to me since she was a lich. Most liches are powerful beings who us…

Konosuba - The Movie
Konosuba had always piqued my curiosity after hearing so much about the show. And I was never sure what to think of it. After my own acquired experience, I cannot support the hype surrounding this comedy. It was slightly above average, but couldn't convince enough. What I can't deny, however, is the fact that the series was well balanced and ended up with a rather subtle film.
In fact, I'm almost as proud as a father whose child has finally learned to walk. At least the feeling should be close.
With this film, KonoSuba actually got the best of the best out of itself. Since this is probably the last we'll ever see of the show, it's at least a good thing that it made a more positive end.
In the area of the plot, as expected, nothing has changed, but this is not nec…

It was the best out of konosuba . The movie had everything in it perfectly. This anime just gets better time after time , Season 2 was perfected whatever was left out in Season 1 and this movie went even further perfecting everything missing from Season 2 . The OVAs were like an 8 off 10 type but thats fine . Movie covered till light novel volume 5 , hoping for the anime to get a season 3 soon & if it would have a 25 episodes season that would be amazing . Loved it & Laughed out all the way while watching this movie . Everyone should give it a watch 🌟 . 10 /10
