I genuinely don't know how KonoSuba became such a massive hit for me to end up giving it this score. I understand the appeal, I really do. The characters are intentionally ridiculous, the situations are absurd, and the entire point is watching a group of completely dysfunctional idiots somehow survive their adventures.
But unfortunately… this type of comedy just doesn't work for me.
I gave it a chance, because I know how beloved it is, but at some point I realized I was watching more out of obligation than because I was actually having fun. And comedy is probably the hardest genre to force yourself through: if the humor doesn't click, there's not much left to hold onto.
I can absolutely see why people love Kazuma and his disaster of a party. They're chaotic, stupid, selfish, and somehow ma…

This season was absolutely phenomenal. It certainly made this anime a top 5 OAT (of all time) for me. All the quirky jokes, the over-exaggerated visuals—everything was perfect. The fact that the story drifts off at times from the main plot to deliver fun content where you can just sit back, relax, and have a laugh is something not every anime can offer. I would even say that the characters in this season are the most vibrant and unique they’ve ever been. If you got bored with the first season and are thinking of dropping this anime, please give this season a try; it will amaze you, I’m sure of it.

This is a season to review, so please watch season one
This season carries on the story of season one there’s no changes the show is still funny and feels like a continuation of season 1.
Not realllynsure what to put here but season one was so good and funny in season two provides the same so if you did enjoy season one then you will definitely like this
I’m looking forward to watching the movie and season three. I’m not sure if the movie is Canon. You have to watch it. Or not, but it’s an easy watch so I’m sure you won’t have an issue.
Overall, it was good. I liked it not much change from season one but you don’t need to because it’s good.

This anime is, hands down, one of the funniest shows I've ever seen.
Season 2 picks up right where the first left off - Kazuma, Aqua, Megumin, and Darkness continuing their misadventures in Axel. But what makes this season truly shine is the introduction of Wiz. That adorable, soft-spoken wizard stole my heart, and Aqua's playful bullying of her had me giggling uncontrollably.
And then there's Megumin's explosions. I mean, what can I say? The girl's got talent. Every time she unleashes her signature spell, chaos ensues, and I'm left crying tears of joy.
But what truly sets KonoSuba apart is its cast. These characters are flawed, annoying, and utterly lovable. Kazuma's exasperation, Darkness's... well, darkness, Aqua's uselessness, and Megumin's single-minded obsession with explosions -…

The second season builds on its already solid foundation with even more comedy and adds a few more characters and really establishes the world of Konosuba, traveling to a different region for the first time of many to come. The banter is even better than before, but of course you have your one to two episodes of, "ugh obnoxious jiggle and fan service galore" which can be very painful to sit through in just how needlessly perverted it is. Nevertheless while I did start to find Darkness even more bland as a character due to her humor proving it isn't evolving, I still enjoyed this second season with the rest of the cast evolving in their dynamics with each other, especially Aqua and Kazuma. While my lowest point of Konosuba so far, the lowest still sits at a comfortable 8.

NO SPOILER REVIEW:
Konosuba Season 2 was much like the first season and you'll enjoy this if you liked the first. The jokes and tropes are pretty much the same and can get repetitive but it still makes you laugh even though you see it coming from a mile away. Characters in Konosuba aren't the most developed and explored as the show is more focused on comedy than actual plot. However, the quirks of each character and how they interact with each other is what carries the humor, so even though the characters don't have much complexity, on a surface level, they work fine as comedic devices.
An overdone gag would be Darkness being a masochist which is used in most episodes but was still funny because of how over the top her actions and reactions are. Kazuma is unlike other isekai protagonists…

This will be a review of season 1 and 2. As my first ever Isekai I was told this was amongst the best so I gave it a go. Not sure what I was expecting but this was a really good comedy. I was more expecting the usual things you hear about Isekais but they never even left the starting town. The show is more about their silly hijinks and I'm all for it. The main cast is all enjoyable in their own ways and while they all have their very funny downsides, they are also written to be likeable people. I didn't really think the humor in this would hit for me but as I got into it the jokes started being pretty funny. Animation is nothing over the top but its more than enough for what is needed. Story progression is happening, in its own goofy way and I'm excited to see what will happen next.

Konosuba is perhaps one of the most polarizing series ever when it comes to looking at how it offers. It’s the type of anime where you often see people say that it aims for comedy and comedy ONLY. Now to be fair, that is certainly understandable. It’s a parody Isekai that makes quite a lot of jokes and such and I can’t blame you for saying that it’s purely for laughs. But contrary to popular belief, the series offers way more than just laughs. There’s far more to the whole “parody” thing and we’re gonna talk about that today.
The start of the series is pretty much similar to the other Isekais you’ve watched but at least with a few unmatching mirrors to differentiate it. Kazuma went outside and despite being a neutral nobody, he saw a girl about to get run over by a tractor and he nearly r…

Konosuba absolutely hit its stride in season 2. It's like a twisted version of Friends or the anime version of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. I have never laughed out loud this much from an anime. There's so much subtle humor in the character's facial expressions and witty, often outrageous dialogues/monologues, which I found on par with Love is War.
It's a refreshing satire on the Isekai genre (imagine a romcom parody version of Mushoku Tensei). There is a solidified plot and it does honor the genre, but the true gem is witnessing the protagonist's shenanigans and character development. There is a gratuitous amount of fanfare and Ecchi elements, which never takes itself too seriously. Rather than the male protagonist being fawned over by a harmen, they're actually ragged on by all o…

Very good show with an interesting premise. It is not often that I root for the characters but I did in this case. All of the main characters had interesting qualities which made the story more interesting. All of the characters had their own qualities and quirks which made them more interesting. The worldbuilding itself was also interesting with some unusual twists and not the standard fantasy world. It included creatures you would not expect from the standard fantasy. Overall the show makes very few mistakes and therefore has a direct storyline. The animation style was fairly standard for anime shows.

I just felt like this anime deserved another positive review since i seen some reviews that have been kinda uncharitable and biased in my oppinion. Very rarely i am able to find an anime that i feel it manages to do a good job of putting together the Animation+Sound+Story+Characters. This anime in my oppinion manages to achive a terific job in doing so.
Its true that the anime lacks a central story for the characters to follow along , but that dosent makes the anime lacking for that single fact. I can count on 1 hand the animes that were able to make me laugh in a way that i would consider them worthy of having the "Comedy" tag attached to them. So many anime have the comedy tag , but rarely do some deliver on that promise. KonoSuba manages to do a good job in that area , and thats becaus…

The second season of "Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!" maintains a similar tone and overall structure as the first but with a notable improvement in production quality. The animation, in particular, is exceptionally and artfully executed this season. Additionally, several new characters are introduced, seamlessly integrating into the existing world. However, there are certain aspects that detract from the season's overall impact. Some jokes are overly prolonged, resulting in certain episodes feeling longer than they actually are. Moreover, while the series retains its comedic essence, it risks treading the thin line of becoming the very thing it parodied. Nevertheless, "Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! 2" effectively continues the narrative established in the first season, and…

One thing that KonoSuba never fails to deliver is entertainment. If it fails at all else, I can say that I was never really bored watching this show, the pacing is great, and never falls behind. Nothing really changes here from season 1, except for the addition of some new characters. While there is little to no world-building or plot, it is still delivered. The plot functions on an episode basis in the form of mini-arcs which last about 2-3 episodes. I find that these mini-arcs were interesting and captivating. The storylines were cool and it was hard to predict what happens next as always. The comedy isn't really laugh-out-loud with konosuba for me but I still think it makes the show fun to watch in any case. Kazuma is a great MC in my opinion, he's pretty unique and his dialogues are go…

[DISCLAIMER: THIS REVIEW COVERS THE MAJORITY OF KONOSUBA (EXCEPT FOR THE MOVIE), NOT JUST SEASON 2]
Isekai as a whole has always been a weird genre. While I do think it actually has the potential to be interesting on paper, a lot of shows were sadly overwhelmed by dry theatrics such as harem, overpowered MC, and directly following the goal of defeating the demon lord. Thankfully, this was barely the case for Konosuba, the kind of isekai that disobeys the basic rules with its own utility.
STORY: 88%
First of all, the concept behind it. The concept of it is to defeat the demon king. Sounds basic? Like a lot of isekais, yes. Can it ruin the progression and scriptwriting? Well... not even close. Konosuba overcomes the simplistic concept by turning the show into a parody. The show doesn't ev…

Honestly, I enjoyed this marginally more for the first season, if only because the other characters started shitting on Kazuma more and I liked the idea of collecting generals of the devil king (even if they only end up with two). The throwback to previous events that happened, and the recognition of Kazuma as a letch was also appreciated. This is definitely a show that doesn't take itself seriously, but unfortunately in trying to to go against the grain it becomes quite dull because so many other shows are now trying to do the same thing.
The isekai genre is a mess in general and it's difficult to find something original and interesting to really get invested in - the big draw for many of these shows are the characters, and then the world setting secondary. Honestly the little cat with w…

I had high expectations for this anime. I expected better humor than the first season and faster pacing. However, most of this season was boring and had slow pacing, while 90% of the humor was predictable jokes about Darkness being a masochist or Aqua being dumb, which got so repetitive and cringe that I just had to skip the parts.
Nothing important happened in these 10 episodes besides the dungeon episode and the hot springs, the rest doesn't contribute much to the main plot and is quite boring. Hopefully, the next season has better humor and is more entertaining since I believe this anime has wasted potential.

If you liked the first season you'll probably like this, too. It's the same four idiots back again for more accidentally ruining other people's lives. Aqua continues to be useless and a detriment to her party, and we get to see what type of crazy person would follow such a goddess when they go to hot spring town. My favorite was the little girl who also turned out to be one of the cultists, great stuff.
Darkness turns out to be a princess or something, and has a really embarrassing real name. Megumin doesn't get much more development because they're saving the crimson demon town for a movie I guess. And of course our protagonist Kuzuma remains just as degenerate as ever. They make some slow progress toward defeating more of the demon lords henchmen, Kazuma dies again a few times, and life…

Quick take: Kono Suba 2 offers a ton more laughs while wrapped up in a rather light and easy to follow story line, that also manages to be ever-so-slightly more complex than season one. You'll find a lot to love about this show, including slight better character development.
Konosuba 2 builds on what season 1 did and simply does it better, even if slightly. Some episodes are independent stories, but there is an overarching line to the season that is enjoyable. Situational humor and jokes are plentiful and I laughed several times per episode, which is usually difficult to make me do. Comedy aside, I found the story to be more enjoyable than the previous season, which only increased my enjoyment of the series.
I found the art to be enjoyable and better than the average anime from the late…

Plot: *C+ Much like most isekai anime, Kazuma Sato was a normal teenage otaku boy in Japan minding his own business when truck-kun says hello and he wakes up in a fantasy world. Unlike most isekai, it's not the circumstances of how it happens and the world he lives that makes the show interesting, it's the fact that the story is an ecchi parody of the genre as a whole that has no interest in rushing the characters towards any goal in particular and is more about the shenanigans that the characters get themselves into. There aren't really any stakes in the show, since every time Kazuma or any of the other characters die they will either be brought back into that world or sent into another world, so you watch it with no intentions of caring about the plot as a whole, but you watch it for the…

Haiku review:
Second season is
Just isekai “Scooby Doo”
Watch movie instead
To elaborate:
The wonderful “Konosuba” season one ended abruptly (though that’s no surprise) and we were left to wonder where it would head. As with so many excellent anime, the second season did not, in my estimation, live up to the first.
Instead, it gave the beloved original series feet of clay. Starting off with the trial of Kazuma, characters whose particular antics we had come to love more or less descended to become two-dimensional slapstick characters, with occasional nods to the quirks that had made them so lovable. But this time the pitch was off and to compensate it was made louder.
The result was a series that in tone and action resembled the antics in the old “Scooby Doo” cartoon series as the fou…
