Premise: I chose Mob Psycho 100 based on its trailer, as I usually do when choosing an anime to watch. Although the trailer itself didn't particularly interest me, I was curious about the art direction, which ultimately became the aspect I appreciated most.
The art direction was quite beautiful in some places, especially at the beginning, but in other parts it looked much more ordinary. This difference was already noticeable in the trailer, and I found it particularly striking when comparing the backgrounds and scenery. I also didn't care for the art direction during the comedic moments or for some of the characters' facial expressions. Even so, it was the strongest aspect of the anime for me.
The story didn't interest me from the very first episode, and the characters didn't do much for…

Being Special Is About Who You Are, Not Your Powers
8/10
The first season of Mob Psycho 100 is really good. I’ll admit that, at first, I got the impression that the whole story was going to be about Mob being tricked by the con artist Reigen. When I realized the anime wasn’t going to be just about that, I honestly felt a little relieved. I don’t think I would have enjoyed the series nearly as much if it had been limited to that dynamic.
For me, it’s much more interesting to follow Mob’s personal development, especially throughout his school life, than to simply watch a story about ghosts, paranormal phenomena, and psychic powers. In the end, despite all the supernatural things happening around him, what really matters is watching Shigeo trying to figure out who he is and how he wants to…

Sometimes when i watch SOME anime i just feel I am like sitting through it rather than enjoying it, not enough to completely drop watching it but to just sit, absent minded, this was the anime for me. There was a somewhat an attempt at a storyline about a schoolboy with psychic powers
Not to say that this was bad but more that this wasn't my cup of tea, it often felt predictable and boring for my liking at least for now since i have yet to watch the other two seasons.
However, the characters are often very diverse and complement each other in ways that make the show fun and interesting which may appeal to others that watch the show.
the animation quality of the show is spectacular, there are some scenes within it which are refreshing and unique to other anime you may have watched

Mob Psycho is about a boy, nicknamed “Mob” and the main premise is when his emotional charge reaches 100 percent, all hell breaks loose.
For a first season, this was pretty good. The characters were solid here. To get the GOAT out right away, Reigen is pretty hilarious. It’s always fun to see him on screen. Mob was good too, he felt relatable and “real” as a character in high school. I liked his brother Ritsu and his little mini arc, it was great to see it unravel. The different clubs, specifically the gym club was very wholesome and nice to see how they invited Mob into their clique. All in all, the characters were pretty strong here.
The animation and fights are next level. There are some blink and you’ll miss it moments which I wasn’t a huge fan of, but regardless of that everything r…

There isn't much plot from ep 1-3, but ep 4+ gets a lot more enjoyable. The comedic genre really stands out, as you definitely feel its attempts at being funny. The jokes were enjoyable, and the ironic situations gave me a good laugh, too. 8/10 If I were to rate it as a comedic action anime, but 7.5/10 if I were to rate it as an anime I enjoyed. I prefer a more serious and plot-focused anime, but this one wasn't bad overall. Fight scenes were nicely animated, too. One issue that honestly isn't much of an issue because of how this anime was written is that Mob is a ridiculously overpowered character, so much so that I just expect him to win every fight. His overpoweredness is nicely balanced, though, since we see some psychological issues that come with said power, and because of his charac…

A truly unique work within the anime universe.
Stories about paranormal powers abound, but Mob Psycho 100 manages to stand out almost immediately. At first glance, it may seem like just another narrative about psychic battles and supernatural confrontations, but that's only the surface. The true focus of the work is on the emotional development of the characters and the internal conflicts they face; themes such as acceptance, identity, responsibility, and personal growth are explored with rare sensitivity.
The protagonist, Shigeo Kageyama, Mob, is practically invincible in terms of power. His psychic abilities are absurd, capable of causing large-scale destruction. However, what makes his journey interesting is not how strong he is, but rather how much he struggles to understand himself…

Mob Psycho is the dumbest show I've seen since Grand Blue. I love it.
I hate myself for not watching it sooner, but I tend to stay away from hype mainstream shows
like Hunter x Hunter and one punch man.
Mob Psycho is a fun anime to watch at any point of the year. Theres no huge villain plot or world that needs saving,
its just a fun show about whatever powers they have.
In its core, its just entertaining. The characters are all fun to keep up with and the art direction plays a lot with humor.
You cant even say this is just for fight scene lovers or certain niche fans, this is a fun anime to watch even with your family.
Its not one punch man where a bro is constantly telling you to watch for the absurd fighting scenes. Mob Psycho is more
a show to watch for its entertaining story and…

Mob Psycho 100 is not just another anime about power. At first glance it looks funny, weird, even childish because of the art style. But if you stay with it, you realize it is something much deeper. The story follows Shigeo Kageyama, a quiet boy people call “Mob.” He has overwhelming psychic powers, but the real battle of his life is not against spirits or enemies. It is against his own emotions.
What makes this anime special is its honesty. Mob is not trying to become the strongest person in the world. He just wants to become a better human being. He joins the body improvement club even though he has psychic powers. That says everything about the message: real growth is not about talent, it is about effort and character.
Another beautiful part is Reigen. On the surface he looks like a f…

After watching a bunch of edgelord power fantasies, Mob Psycho 100 was a breath of fresh air. It's down-to-earth in a way a lot of anime totally fail to be. Its simplistic artsyle and quirky characters only enhance the charming factor.
The protagonist Mob is a ridiculously overpowered psychic, but he doesn't get any fulfillment from his abilities. Besides contributing to the show's great sense of humor, this immediately makes Mob stand out from other shonen protags. His simplistic desires don't ever get boring, and his lack of confidence is never annoying. He just feels very real in a way not many other anime can claim.
The side characters are alright, with Reigen being the obvious star. He's the most popular character, and it's easy to see why. The other supporting characters are just o…

Story-wise: meh
Entertainment-wise: 100%
Very shonen, lots of action, a lot of lack of depth for the characters, yet most are charming or provide sufficient value to the story or plot. I do love Mob and his pureness, he's so freaking cute; I like how he accepts he's just a very meh person without his power and tries to be good instead of an evil asshole.
I did like the plot with his brother and the friendship he ended up forming with Hanazawa. I also really liked the club thingy and how Mob chose what HE wanted and didn't join the telepathic club just to be nice or wtv; consequently I really like the bodybuilding club, just some fine lads inside and out.
This series is just some dumb fun IMO, it had been a loooooong time since I had finished a season in two days, so I really do recomme…

This show was interesting and shocking all the way through. It's tone changes a lot, and you get a funny vibe sometimes as well as more thoughtful, deep ones. It elicits so many feelings and emotions from me I just could not stop watching it. I finished it in about a day, and I have to say this show was soso good at keeping the viewers on their toes. The comedy is good, and each episode I found myself laughing so much. As well as parts where I felt sad, and thoughtful about what was happening with Mob and his relations with other characters. Speaking on other characters EVERYONE in this show is so funny and different. I like all of the unique archetypes and this was a great first season I will be continuing.

This show means so much to me, and rewatching this first season now has really reminded why it has remained my favourite anime; from when I first started exploring the medium to even now, 150 anime later.
First of all, this show is one of the funniest shows I've ever seen. The style of humour is slightly reminiscent to OPM, but also is wildly different in it's own way; very Saiki K esque.
But just billing this as a comedy anime would be doing it a great disservice. The thing that truly made me fall in love with this show is it's beautiful character writing. Mob is just so wonderfully lovable as a main character. He's portrayed so well as just a normal middle school kid, but one who is so often put under extreme stress and pushed to his limits; enough to break anyone. And all because he…

Summary:
This review is for the first season of the Mob Psycho 100 anime. This is a comedy anime with some action and adventure with quirky characters, a simple yet entertaining plot, and plenty of laughs. As a comedy, this story is funny and entertaining, although its unpredictability does make for a plot that seems to meander at times. Overall, this show is entertaining with unique art and plenty of humor, although some of the humor and serious parts collide to some degree. However, Mob Psycho 100 has some surprising depth beyond its humor, and I recommend it.
Story: 7/10
The plot of this first season is rather straightforward: the main character is a psychic with abilities that he is gradually learning to control. Additionally, he struggles socially and emotionally; his…

I originally meant to post this review on just the 3rd (and last) season, but since my goal is to encourage even more to watch this thing of beauty I'll post it here also. And don't worry it's spoiler free

"People can change" and "People need relationships and human connections" are the underlying themes that have pushed the plot of Mob Psycho part 1, 2 and 3.
You see from the unique art-style to the epic voice cast (sub and dub both) to the all 3 parts depending upon one another and completing each other, that is what makes Mob's school and work adventures with his master (Goatgen Arataka) so special.
Now since this a review of the 3rd season, I think it's fair to put up some in…

What starts off looking like a quirky action-comedy about a psychic kid quickly becomes a deeply emotional, beautifully written story about self-growth, identity, and human connection. Mob isn’t your typical overpowered protagonist—he’s awkward, quiet, and trying to figure out who he is without his powers, and that’s what makes him so relatable.
The animation? Insane. Studio BONES went all out—every fight scene is wildly creative and fluid, but the emotional moments are just as stunning. The character development is top-tier too—Mob, Reigen, and the whole cast grow in meaningful ways that hit way harder than you'd expect.
Funny, heartfelt, and inspiring all at once—Mob Psycho 100 isn’t just an anime about powers, it’s about becoming a better person. Easily one of the most complete and sa…

For a long time, I considered Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure to be my most favorite anime, and for a while that was the truth. I never really thought more of it. Then recently, I was reminded of Mob Psycho 100 by my friend who said he was watching it currently and loving it. The more I thought about my time with that show, it grew higher among the fictional and unorganized ranking of favorite anime in my brain. Rewatching it again, after a few years. I can say without a doubt, that this is my absolute favorite anime (as of now at least).
Mob Psycho has everything I love. A unique art style, well-crafted/mind-blowing animation, lovable characters, and a deep message within the humor. Mob Psycho is not about the struggle to fight other espers. It’s not about “How is he going to get out of this on…

Started off strong, but lost me for the most part and then brought me back on board on the last two episodes.
You'd think from the first episode that this is going to be a supernatural centric show, but instead most episodes center around gangs and fighting between students. It does get better when Reigen comes back and somehow becomes the most sane and normal person in the show.
Animation is beautiful and artistic, with multiple styles sprinkled throughout. The lighting in this series is gorgeous. The style of the show can be unappealing to some, but I'd still recommend watching the series for the art.
Making the other middle schoolers look like they're 30-year-old was a fun, but confusing gag when there's actual adults who look the same age or even younger. Overall would've liked the…

It seems like they had a good premise going but couldn't execute it well with how Shigeo just effortlessly solved all his problems and cleared all his threats by just powering up to 100% (with zero consequences btw, despite it having brutally harmed his brother in the past) and blowing everything up like some middle of the line battle shounen. For example there's a plotline where his talented brother actually envies him due to his psychic ability; this gets dealt with by giving him psychic powers too and having Mob defeat the generic bad guys trying to hold him hostage. Then Mob unconditionally forgives him and Shigeo stops envying him, so basically neither of them truly developed in any way and that whole arc was a complete waste of time. Mob gets to unconditionially go 100% and abuse his…

✒Keep your Spirits Up 🏋 The Mind is the Ultimate Superpower °8.5° °excellent° 💯%🔍 some minor spoilers
Who hasn't fantasized about being powerful in one way or another? It would be wonderful to be able to eliminate evil and protect the weak. Shows like mob MP💯 and One Punch Man, for that matter, show us that it's not enough to have the power, one must know how to wield it. The strongest power is that of the mind. Saitama and Mob are the most powerful beings that ever existed. But they're boring. So nobody cares. They are both Pete Sampras.
“Idiots with power are the worst to deal with,” we hear towards the end of ep2. But Mob isn't an idiot. He's just shy and sweet. I have seen S1&2 on Netflix. Apparently, Hulu has S3. In the first episode I didn't think I would like it. Shots of pe…
