Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2

Introduction

After his relationship with Eris Boreas Greyrat reaches new heights, Rudeus Greyrat is ecstatic. Unfortunately, his joy is short-lived, as Eris suddenly abandons him to embark on her own journey. Believing that Eris has lost all interest in him, a heartbroken and depressed Rudeus sets forth to the Northern Territories. With his sole goal being to locate his mother on the vast continent, Rudeus wonders if persisting through daily life is worth the pain, falling into a robotic routine as he endlessly ruminates on his lost love. However, the dangers of the North soon prove that one cannot survive with a dulled mind. While on a quest with the party Counter Arrow, with whom he recently became acquainted, Rudeus has a brush with death—an experience that forces him to finally snap out of his despair. With his newfound teammates, Rudeus rediscovers the pleasure of daily adventuring and moves forward with his original goal of living his second lease on life to the fullest. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

Note: Only read this review if you watched the "Guardian Fitz" special after the first season. Mushoku Tensei: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu Season 2 returns after the controversial event involving our protagonist Rudeus Greyrat and his cousin Eris Boreas Greyrat. At the beginning, we see that the boy has turned into a depressed magician after finding himself alone again, while the girl moves away to become stronger and be able to meet her cousin again someday. Even though he is suffering, Rudeus gains some strength to move forward and find his mother Zenith, who remains missing after the Teleport Incident. This show still makes the same mistakes as the previous season, but somehow it's getting even more interesting at this point. Why? Keep reading this if you're curious. Audiovisual: 9 It…

A pure pdf changing into a normal person at unbelievably slow speed can't be called a well written show, fans are brainwashed as hell The story is average, take out the animation and it's just a mid story, the novel especially is more horrendous. I ain't falling for a self insert fetish story with common Isekai story. Fans says it's realistic, but when pointing out the flaws of the character, they say it's just fictional. MT fans don't even know why they like the show, they don't even know that they are watching only for the pdf stuffs MT fans have reading comprehension. Only people who will fall for the oldest trick in the book will like it

Little Bit Spo: Bro Season 1 was actually fire with all the magic and crazy fights but Season 2 straight up scammed us. Forget about saving the world or becoming a god-level mage. The whole damn plot turned into a medical drama about one thing and one thing only. How to wake up Rudeuss broken "Bing Chilling". Like seriously? This guy survived a literal apocalypse, crossed continents, and learned high-level magic just to get defeated by his own meat. My man spent the entire season walking around looking depressed as hell because his lower half went on a strike. I opened the anime expecting an epic fantasy adventure but I ended up watching a 12-episode commercial for magical Viagra. Then he goes to this magic academy right? You think he gonna learn some forbidden spells but nah, he basical…

I am incredibly conflicted about this anime. On the one hand, it is genuinely a great story. Technical wise it is so good, great music, great animation, great voice acting. Story telling wise the whole season about erectile disfunction and depression and of course the overcoming of it is genuinely so original and very originally written. The world building is interesting (I'd admit the magic system could be given more exposure but that's ok). The world seems logical and good. The issue has been discussed at length and I won't even discuss it too much, you guys know what the issues are: perversion, sexual assault etc. I enjoy difficult topics, these are difficult topics, the idea of a full on pervert getting redemption is incredibly interesting but... that's not what this anime does. It…

My biggest problem with this season is the stakes, there is none, the erectile dysfunction are in painful to watch. The main character is already not very likable but this arc was just plain annoying, the visual and animation are still solid but they can only do so much to keep this thin arc afloat, this part in the manga infuriated me so much and watching it animated only mildly changed my opinion on it. The romance is good and so are some side characters but all in all very underwhelming considering how season 1 kicked off. You will like this if you enjoy flashy animation and basic stories but it wasnt for me, the story is this arc is painfully predictable and very cringy at times

Yes, I liked the season, I'm not going to say I didn't. But when analyzing it in detail, I noticed some changes that I feel I need to comment on. The first half of this season I really liked. It's the best part of the season. Rudeus's journey through Rosenburg, his time with Counter Arrow and Soldat Heckler's group, along with his struggle against depression and the separation from Eris and Dead End, all of it has a lot of emotion, personal growth, and a good adventurous pace. That part feels like it continues and maintains the spirit of the first season. However, once the Ranoa Magic University arc begins, things change. The story goes from having a clear goal and linear progression (like in Season 1, where Rudeus tries to get back home with action, learning, and constant discovery) to…

Well as someone who has previously been extremely critical when it comes to Mushoku Tensei (see previous review(s) if you care), I can now at least say that it does in fact get better to a certain degree. Art Style - 9 Character Designs - 9.5 Fantasy/Magic/World - 8.5 Animation - 8 Music - 8 Pacing - 9 Characters - 6 Story - 7 Comedy - 6 Ecchi - 1 (still just feels pointless to the series as a whole) Enjoyment - 6 Well might as well start by addressing Rudeus since he has been my biggest issue with this series as a whole. While I wouldn't go as far as to say I like him, I don't quite hate him as much as I did in season 1. I still think it's impossible to look past all the weird pedo stuff he had going on, however he did change this season. While he still is weird and perverted it's not n…

Finally, Rudeus's growth. Mushoku Tensei has always been a complicated work to recommend. Not because it's bad, quite the contrary, but because its protagonist frequently crosses moral boundaries that alienate many people. Rudeus is a character full of flaws, traumas, vices, and questionable behaviors. However, it is precisely in this extreme imperfection that the work builds something rare: genuine evolution. This second season is perhaps the greatest example of this. For much of the first season, we followed Rudeus learning about the world, growing stronger, and creating bonds, but still carrying many of the same emotional problems from his past life. Here, for the first time, it seems we are seeing a man trying to truly mature. And growth in Mushoku Tensei never means becoming perfect…

I honestly don’t get the massive hype at all — if anything, the show straight-up disgusts me. Mushoku Tensei feels like one of the very few places where pedophilia isn’t just tolerated, but actively defended or even celebrated by parts of the fanbase. Season one was somewhat interesting, if you ignore the disgusting and cringe moments for a second. The animation is obviously amazing, the overall journey has potential, and a lot of the side characters are genuinely cool. But season two? For me it mostly revolves around fixing his impotence so he can go back to sleeping with minors. And that’s somehow framed as meaningful character development. What really annoys me is the mental gymnastics people use to justify it. On one hand, they argue that “he’s basically just a kid too.” On the other…

S2 Prt 1 honestly surprised me with how seriously it handled rudy’s ed arc. i went in fully expecting the show to make cheap jokes about it but they didn’t. Instead they treat it like a real emotional struggle. It’s one of the few times this season shows genuine maturity and that i have to appreciate. rudy himself continues to be one of the show’s biggest strengths, mainly bcuz he isn’t written like your standard good boy protagonist. he’s a mess, he’s morally questionable and half the time he behaves like a scumbag, but that’s also what makes him interesting. You’re not rooting for him bcuz he’s a hero, you’re rooting for him bcuz he’s trying, failing and trying again. His friendship and growing bond with sylphie is also well handled. It feels natural, supportive and honestly one of the…

Such wasted potential. I'm disappointed with the part 1 of this second season... You mean to tell me that you have this vibrant world at your fingertips, and you choose a highschool as your main setting? Furthermore how can I, the watcher, remain invested in the plot when our protagonist's mom is missing and the anime feeds me 10 episodes of worthless randomness of a guy searching for a cure to his ED and questioning his sexual orientation? Bro even went to a buy a CHILD slave for the purpose of making figurines, ffs! How does that further the plot in any meaningful way? Furthermore doesn't that go against the key character development points you've down until now? We ended on a really high note last season (I personally rated it a 10). Travelling and discovering the world felt great, a…

Mushoku Tensei has always been special, but this season reached another level for me. Episode 12 left me with so many emotions running through my heart that I just sat there quietly for a while. The happiness, the tears, the sense of closure and hope all came together in a way that is very rare in anime. This part begins in the aftermath of Eris leaving Rudeus behind. That single moment still haunts me. To love someone deeply, to share such an important night, and then wake up to nothing but a letter is a pain that is difficult to put into words. I understood what Rudeus was going through because many of us know what heartbreak feels like. His sleepless nights, his loneliness, and even his physical struggles like ED were a result of that emotional trauma. It made his suffering feel painfu…

*Note: This review is for both parts of season 2.* The second season of Mushoku Tensei continues the story of Rudeus as he makes his way through his second chance at life. As with the first season, there’s still some pretty great world building. This season is less of a travel story than the first season, so there’s less of the wonder of seeing new sights and such. But on the flipside, because the majority of the season takes place at a magic academy, there’s a good deal more of fleshing out the magic system. Furthermore, while there aren’t as many locations, there’s a good amount of variety to the locations we do see, such as small towns in the wintery countryside to a large city in the middle of a desert, with the large city having a very interesting design. Just as in the first season…

The one piece of art in a constant state of apotheosis . This time around the grander scale of the world takes second place to a more personal matter for the MC . Honestly, you can't really blame Eris for this, she never had a way with words . But that doesn't change the fact that Rudeus took some critical emotional damage and awoke to a new trauma. As much as i'd like to have anything negative to say about Sara , i can't. Judging by what she understood from the very start it makes sense to get that upset. Seems Rudeus is gonna need more then one life to get over past trauma. And i might've declared on the last season that it's gonna be hard to top Eris, it happend regardless. Other then that.... the magic school arc was ... allright? Honestly it wasn't that developed . Maybe it's gonna be…

English. And this second season is coming with everything, with our protagonist older and covering a new arc that for me can be considered the school arc, that's why I love this series, because of how they show us something new and good with each part, in addition to letting us know other stages of our hero who with his good and bad things is advancing and they tell us how this world works and what had to happen for our protagonist to have been reincarnated here. Without a doubt a great continuation of what they showed us in previous seasons that although it is much lighter in the sense that it is not as heart-stopping as in other parts, it still keeps you on the lookout and intrigued all the time. With an animation that slows down the pace by showing us more and more beautiful things and…

I... don't know what to say. I personally didn't liked the 2nd part of Season 1, but I am so glad, that I have continued watching. While it contains some of the Isekai-Anime cliches, it still not not the typical Isekai. I still like the world, it has Anime fantasy elements, but especially the winter part in the first half reminded me of Elder Scrolls like fantasy. What me surprised most was, how the Anime was able to actually made me feel stuff. Normally I just watch shows and enjoy them, maybe get a bit of a pumping heart or goosebumps at a action scene rarely. But this Anime managed to make me actually feel some kind of pain for 70% of the time, be it on happy or on sad scenes. And it was an emotional joyride. Normally in a Anime you know, that things gonna turn good in the end and that…

There are some really cool elements here, and even some of the problematic character interactions are interesting and funny in their own way, but there are some really terrible anime tropes in this series that make it hard to recommend to anyone I know. Over-sexualization and excessive fan service frequently diminish the potential of shows like this, turning what could be extraordinary into just another forgettable series. What's the attraction of a panty shot during a supposedly intense, perilous scene? Or prominently displaying large breasts for no other reason than to showcase them? Or the harem genre overall, which might be interesting if it weren't for the absurd manner in which these women fawn over the main character.

This is a great series. This is a great manga. This is a mostly great anime. This is a garbage start to mostly great anime. The anime Director takes LOADS of creative license in these first episodes. The story at this point is man vs self, but they don’t seem to get that. So, they make Soldart an antagonist, which is stupid because he’s to only person really rutting for Rudy at this point in the story. He’s the bro trying to get you outa the funk, but again the Director doesn’t get it. So, Soldart bad. The English dub just makes things worse by confusing and ruining the tone constantly. Young Rudy and old Rudy never match up in tone or intention. Young Rudy appears to have done their homework and knows they should sound completely dejected as Quagmire. Old Rudy is just reading the scri…
