My Hero Academia peaked with season six, or so I thought.
It is without a doubt that the series has faced its fair share of “mid” allegations from fans and haters alike, sure, last season (season 6) has made a lot of those people tremble and rethink that harsh classification, but surely, it was an outlier season, right?
The seventh season begs to differ. It carried on that Olympic torch like a champ and kept up the pace and tension thoroughly.
One thing for sure, aside from the consistent action and narrative highs this season maintained, there was a huge focus on characters and their development more than ever before. We would get arcs that lay focus on a few key characters before, but this one looked at Class A, and so fan favorite villains and delivered really good moments and new lo…

This season could have been a 10 if Stars and Stripe did not die so early.
It’s so absurd that Stars and Stripe had to go down like that. Extremely powerful quirk, but for what? Two episodes only. It's crazy. I just know they had to take her down since she would definitely steal the spotlight and finish the fight in the great war. Deku and Bakugo wouldn’t stand a chance to fight with Shigaraki or All For One if she was there.
It's a good one still. It's just that sometimes it's more of an appointment to therapy than fighting. Still, a good one.

The final stretch of the most popular superhero anime of the last decade has finally begun.
My Hero Academia Season 7 marks the true beginning of the story's conclusion. After years of building up the threat posed by All For One and Tomura Shigaraki, the series finally enters its decisive war. This season focuses far more on setting the stage for the final showdown than on introducing new concepts; while it features excellent moments, it also highlights various narrative issues the series has accumulated over the years.
Right from the opening episodes, we are introduced to the clash between Star and Stripe, the United States' number-one hero, and Shigaraki. Beyond delivering a visually spectacular battle, this arc answers a question many fans had since the series began: why don't heroes…

Peak moments in this season, but not good as the last one.
First and foremost, it's the season with the best animation. There are undoubtedly several scenes where the animators outdid themselves, such as the Dabi vs. Shoto battle or Dabi's final explosion. It's also the most sentimental season of all, mainly because of Endeavor's redemption arc and Toga's conclusion. I like how both of those things are handled. You can really feel the weight of this final battle against the villains. Another thing, it has the best development now not only for Izuku, but for other characters like Ochako, Hawks, and Shoji; I like how they are given depth and the way it addresses the issue of social disparity feels realistic to a certain extent.
Now, honestly, my problem with this season is easily criticize…

I'll begin this by saying this was one of the most miserable experiences I've ever had watching anime.
The entirety of the season is literally the same one big fight, plagued by flashbacks, speeches and heroes trying to reason with people trying to literally destroy the world.
I get the message that MHA tries to portray; everyone deserves a second chance, everyone's still human regardless of their actions, and I get that, I don't think that if the heroes just killed the villains it would necessaily be a better show, but the execution feels like it was made to be a torture method for whoever is watching. When I was in episode 10, I checked to see I was not even halfway through, so I sat there in disbelief, wondering how could I ever get through the rest of it, somehow I managed.
I feel l…

MHA season 7 hits like an absolute truck: zero time for second-guessing or filler transitions. From episode one, it’s clear the board was already set, and now it’s just time to execute. Obviously, I’d have liked Star to carry way more weight in the saga, but her run did its job: maxing out the hype from the jump. At this point, every character is locked into their purpose, giving the story this feeling of pure inevitability.
There's also that sense that the author isn't big on nuking characters. Maybe it’s not his vision, or he just wants to keep the series within that classic heroism spectrum. Honestly, it’s fine. In the end, it fits the ideals of how the MHA world works: the heroes and their values. It gives it a less "adult" tone in terms of being gritty, but it doesn't lack substance.…

Season 7 of My Hero Academia feels like the show has completely lost what once made it interesting. It used to have energy, decent character development, and a sense of progress — now it’s just another overblown shonen about friendship and crying over backstories. Every single character has some tragic past, and it’s getting exhausting. The story barely moves forward, the villains feel cartoonish, and the heroes keep shouting motivational lines instead of doing anything meaningful. Half of the season is dedicated to one endless fight. The “power of friendship” saves the day once again, and all tension just disappears. Sure, the animation still looks great, but that’s not enough to save such a predictable and emotionally empty season.
Verdict:
If you’re older than 15, don’t bother. It’s ba…

I’d like to start by sincerely thanking the studio and the author for giving me such powerful emotions and an unforgettable visual experience.
This season was, without a doubt, the best one so far. But why?
First of all, we’ve come to truly know the characters and we’ve witnessed how much they’ve grown physically, emotionally, and psychologically since the very beginning. That deep bond now resonates with the audience on a genuine emotional level. The so-called “side stories” or “scattered narratives,” whatever you prefer to call them, were all handled beautifully and tied together perfectly in the end. Each one left a strong emotional impact on me, and the fact that none of them felt predictable deserves real praise.
What impressed me most was how naturally and realistically the relati…

season 7 starts off strong and keeps the energy going for most of its run. The introduction of a powerful new female hero star and stripe was honestly one of the best parts, absolutly loved her, even if the show still can’t resist wasting good characters too soon. there is a good balance of some great emotional beats with cool action tho the issues of too much exposition at times snd some over the top drama still remains.
that said, the animation, voice acting, and some of the fights are absolutely top tier. overall not a perfect season but def entertaining and full of moments that remind you why you started watching mha in the first place.

If you have been through what the Class A heroes have been through with their character development...well, it starts to open up through the final fights for this war arc against the League of Villains.
Even the villains themselves have circumstances that have to force them to confront their reasons for being a villain. They are the mirror of the hero society for a reason.
For once, for a beneficial perspective of a viewer, the heroes are using their brain cells since they've been outmatched tactically by the villains since they first entered back in Season 1 in the Hero Academy school.
With all the main heroes from Class 1A confronting their fears, dreams and power, you'll see a team effort like no other.
What I really liked is that these fights and their outcomes were based on past…

Quick review minor spoilers
Story 6/10 - It falls off hard imo. It's extremely predictable what happens and you can usually tell how the episodes are based. The pacing is EXTREMELY off, and you find yourself skimming through a lot of the episodes to get to the actual decent parts of it. It does hold some extremely well designed characters, which makes for some really good enjoyment but the story just falls short, standard good v bad guy, bad guy backstory before bad guy loses a fight or reinforcements come on.
Music 8/10 - really well done - no complaints here.
Art 7/10 - Let's just say some things shouldn't be made with CGI.
Overrall - 7/10. It holds some strong points but the predicatably of knowing what is going to happen episodes in advance really drags the score down sadly. I genu…

I wouldn't call myself a fan of the series, but I have found it to be consistently solid. I've even tended to enjoy the parts of the series that others have found weak, particularly for how it manages to make training arcs and school arcs feel important because of their focus on smaller characters, slowly building out the depth of Class A. But now that the characters, their growth and powers, and the final conflict has all been properly established and the last pieces have been set up in the excellent Season 6, it's finally time for the final battle.
And, overall, it's a disappointing final battle. In most ways, it's your average shonen finale big battle, where all the twists are expected, villains don't stay dead no matter how hard they get hit, and the heroes have to…

My Hero Academia Season 7: The Final War Delivers a Thrilling, Earned Spectacle
My Hero Academia Season 7 arrived with monumental expectations, and for me, it didn't just meet them—it soared past them. Having meticulously developed its world and characters over six prior seasons, the stage was perfectly set for this climactic confrontation, and the payoff is immensely satisfying. Every punch, every Quirk unleashed, feels earned, resonating with the emotional investment we've poured into these heroes and their struggles.
This season dives headfirst into the final war, and dedicating most of its runtime to this overarching conflict was an incredibly rewarding decision. This isn't just mindless action; it's a culmination. The action sequences deliver on everything the emotional development…

This is the best season of mha in long time. Imagine all of the good plotlines of the story coming together with no filler and no need for any sort of side b plot. The animation is good and the moments of those first seasons are back. Characters come back everything is full circle it’s actually amazing how I care about characters who I thought didn’t matter at first or were some b side villains too. Please watch this it’s epic. I am a big fan of the early seasons and this one makes me think it was worth it same with season 6 but season 6 had some animation trouble for a couple episode.

The art style is nice and fitting. This anime has amazing animation and build up up to this point, but the round up of characters is very bad and many flaws, they just didnt react in any realists and normal way, manu will like the story. Its just that the story of this season just became very predictable and stupid, constant a*spulls everywhere, heros making stupid decisions just for the sake of the story progress is so unnecesairy...in what world would a hero defeat a villain and just watch and let him save another villain who will pull a even bigger a*spull......

I was really hyped about this season because of the match-ups where the 6th season left off. I was specifically looking forward on the Dabi vs Shoto, while that match-up did not disappoint, the others did. I was also hyped that on the last season, they tease the No.1 Hero from US, which is star and stripes and I think that her quirk is so broken. I was disappointed on that fight, I mean realistically speaking, she's the best bet the world has but they treat her like a fodder, I blame the mangaka for that. Shigaraki is inconsistent, I won't spoil too much but there's too much plot holes on him, especially after his fight with star and stripes. I also don't like the fact that some kids with a couple of heroes, last longer than star and stripes, well you could argue about eraser being there b…

To keep this short, the original material from the manga covered in this season is great, but this was a poor presentation. After six seasons of carefully covering the original source material, this season throws it all away rushing through as much as possible in each episode. Fights that are abbreviated, excessive flashbacking, summary scenes that should have had full episodes covering the events, and skipped material are abound.
This season was at it's best when it focused on one battlefield for an episode or two. It fell apart when trying to cover everything at once. More accurately, it failed to cover much of anything by skipping around from scene to scene.
I'd really only recommend this season to people who have already read the manga and want to see some of the battles animated. O…

By now, we kind of know what's going on with My Hero Academia Season 7, but it's insane that they've been able to keep up the high pace of action without really making me feel bored - which I feel was a downfall of a series like Naruto Shippuuden. My Hero Academia just does it better. I'll assume you've seen all the prequels for the purposes of this review.
Story & Characters: My Hero Academia Season 7's story basically hasn't changed since the previous season. The new Liberation Front, along with One For All, is making it their goal to create complete destruction upon the world, but have set their sights on Deku, being the holder of All For One. Now, with a world threat present, Stars and Stipe, the number one hero from USA has been called to the battlefield and it's up to her to turn th…

Coming off of the greatness we had in season 6, this is partly lackluster but still good. The pacing felt a bit off, partly due to being split between so many different locations and groups of people but when it really zeroed in a a certain moment was when it really shined. And there were lots of really great moments in this season with many different characters, giving them all time to shine and have their moments it really does feel like its drawing close to the culmination, I was almost surprised we're still getting another full season. I am very excited to see how it all ends and can't wait for the next season, until then!
