You know what? This story is a complete insult to human intelligence, or any sentient entity for that matter. I'm honestly surprised that an anime plot could make me despise it this much.
A. The Things I Criticize:
1. A Painfully Sluggish Mental Battle
Oda Akira, the main character, undergoes a tedious internal conflict where he refuses to kill people despite being forced into an assassin class. A psychological struggle like that is acceptable on paper, but why on earth did it take 12 whole episodes, each over 20 minutes long, just for him to finally realize that he is an assassin who needs to kill a villain? We are talking about an evil, grotesque bastard who is actively trying to kidnap his elf girlfriend, Amelia Rosequartz, yet the protagonist still hesitates for an entire season.

If you are looking for a highly entertaining watch, this series is definitely worth your time. The story as a whole is quite good, genuinely interesting, and keeps you hooked from the early episodes. It doesn't rely too heavily on predictable cliches, and the plot unfolds at a really nice pace, ensuring that there is rarely a dull moment.
Furthermore, the characters are pretty decent and complement the story perfectly. They are well-rounded, have distinct personalities, and react to the events around them in a realistic way. It is easy to understand their motivations, which makes following their journey all the more engaging.
While it might not be a flawless masterpiece, the solid storytelling and enjoyable cast make it a very worthwhile experience. The art style is also fitting for the to…

The concept is interesting enough, and I can see the potential in its world and characters, but it just didn't really hook me.
For me, the biggest problem is that there wasn't that “I need to watch the next episode” feeling. You know that feeling when you finish an episode and immediately want to know what happens next? This anime didn't really give me that. I could stop watching at any time and not feel super excited to continue.
That doesn't mean the anime is bad. I still enjoyed watching it, and the story is decent enough to keep it entertaining. It just felt like it was missing that one thing that could really grab my attention and make me invested in what was happening.

Watched this one long ago about some months but it's still fresh in my mind.
Good art style, heavy CGI use for visual effects and the animation is great.
It's the kind of summoning a whole class to another world fantasy kind of show, but this one has an interesting set.
It all starts awfully curious but then gets grim right away.
The way that the MC evaluates and checks his surroundings is like his life depends on it.
And it does of course but even so, he takes on life threatening choices unlike an assassin.
All this moral value makes this assassin stuff be too much responsibility for him.
Aside from all that, there's some funny and sweet moments to distract him from this nightmare.
Even love.

My god can he being anymore of a whiny MC?
"Waah waah, I don't want to kill anyone, even if doing so protects me, those I care about, and prevents a war from breaking out, indirectly saving thousands!" -MC
Bro's literally a parody of a progressive virtue signaller who chooses inaction to avoid having sad feelings instead of doing what is necessary. They'd rather do nothing and let everything around them go to shit because they have the mental temperament of a child (but only when it suits the plot)
4/10 art and animation were good, but man, the writing for MC is absolute garbage.

I found it boring, dull, and more of the same.
Sure, you can’t expect much from isekai, but damn, this one really didn’t even try.
My first criticism is the animation, which looks like AI… 'oh, but it’s not AI'—okay, but it still looks weird anyway.
The second, and saddest point, is that it actually starts off well in my opinion, but really falls apart from the middle to the end. I don’t know, they messed up the pacing, the execution, and the plot… the little romance barely saves it.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Achei chato, entediante e mais do mesmo.
Lógico que não dá para esperar muito de isekais, mas porra... esse aqui realmente não se esforçou kkkkk

If "Meh" was an Isekai.
Starts off decent enough, like any other Isekai, with hints that maybe this world isn't the typical Isekai world we're all used to by now. The first few episodes will have you curious to see where things go, but then they really don't go anywhere. The story seems to get caught up in what I initially thought would be a minor "side quest" (hinted at in the beginning), but turns out to be the remainder of the anime. It makes for an extremely boring and forgettable middle of the show, all to wrap up with an extremely meh ending. There was an obvious setup for future seasons where I guess they'll get into the main story, but the boring buildup to the anticlimactic ending is why I wouldn't recommend this currently. If you're reading this years down the road and multiple…

7/10 - Pleasantly Surprised
Characters - 7/10
While somewhat generic, there are no members of the main cast I really dislike. While the main character is a bit dry, his dynamics with the other characters is good and we do see more of his internal struggles as the series progresses, particularly in the later episodes. The female characters feel a lot more developed when compared to some other shows. I came to like Latty in particular as she never fell into the obvious love rival role, instead being aware of and supporting the main relationship while having her own goals and convictions that don't solely rely on the MC. The side characters are interesting, though some (notably the other students) only seem to get screen time if they're talking with or about the MC. My only other real comp…

Story:
The series starts with a fairly generic premise that might only appeal to those looking to "doom-watch" a season. While the setup is familiar, the execution struggles with its identity. Instead of the high-octane action the visuals might suggest, the show is heavily dialogue-driven. The entire 12-episode run focuses almost exclusively on the internal conflict of making a decision regarding revenge. This narrow focus makes the pacing feel significantly off; there simply isn't enough content to justify the runtime. If the story had been expanded into a 24-episode season with more world-building and subplots, it might have reached a solid 7/10.
Art/Animation:
Visually, the anime is appealing at first glance, featuring a distinct and polished art style. However, the animation itself la…

Ladies and gentlemen, this review tries to be driven by the same engine that pushes every hero through an adventure against all odds.
As if I were a generic isekai hero myself, I persevered until the very end in order to offer you my humble opinion about this show — one that, at first glance, presents itself as visually appealing and full of interesting vibes, such as an early close-up of Akira, our main character — with clear Cid Kagenou vibes from The Eminence in Shadow — but that, by the end of the journey, leaves you wondering how much self-love you must have to endure it until the very last episode.
Was it worth it, Mr. Stark?
That is what this review is about.
TL;DR:
This opinion is based exclusively on the anime. I have not read the manga or the light novel.

pretty sure people dislike this show because it's too slow, especially since he's an assassin. but I think that's how it should be, cuz what they sell here are the emotion and story. it's not fully about fighting type shit, go watch Demon Slayer if you're looking for full fighting with no story inside
people who dislikes this anime probably have been brainwashed by how isekai anime these seasons should be, things like automatic level 100 mafia boss, 999 aura, harem (isekai ansatsu, maou gakuin, etc)
even though it's slow-paced, they could make it interesting. if you are interested in animes that are mainly focusing on the story, like "To Your Eternity" and "Odd Taxi", you should watch this anime. I swear the quality won't drop until the end of season 1, unlike some other show.

Pro’s
the animation isn’t to bad and the characters designs themselves looked nice
Con’s
it’s just really boring, story is basic and has no real depth, there’s nothing to keep you watching other than maybe just a desire no to leave an anime unfinished.
It just got utterly boring really quickly, even as someone who’s seen pretty much all of the trash isekai anime’s because I do enjoy them as back ground noise, some of them even turned out to be really good and rewatchable. I would put this one below most of them. The climax of the entire anime was boring, it lost all its story and just kind of turned into filler. The anime itself isn’t horrible, it just had no real substance. He’s an assassin which I thought would be a cool concept but it quickly just kind of dissolved into killing any s…

I wasn’t expecting much when I started My Status as an Assassin Exceeds the Hero’s, but I ended up liking it a lot more than anticipated. The worldbuilding is interesting and surprisingly well done, and the isekai elements are actually integrated into the plot instead of being used once as a setup and then forgotten.
Every place and character feels like they have a story of their own, and despite being set in yet another fantasy world filled with familiar tropes, the lore manages to feel fresh and original.
As the title suggests, the main character is insanely powerful, so you can expect him to overcome impossible odds. That said, he still struggles in meaningful ways when facing his enemies. The series also explores the morals of its fantasy world, showing the protagonist’s internal con…

This anime is exactly what's wrong with modern anime. It's just good enough for you to kinda start to see some potential, but then very quickly the cracks start to show and you realize that it was written probably by ChatGPT or some AI software. There is absolutely no logic that is consistently applied in this show. One minute the character is this angry, edgy teen willing to do whatever it takes to get revenge for the commander. The next minute he's kind of this sappy love interest that doesn't really have any edge to him and doesn't have the heart to really follow through with his threats.
This show tried to be everything at once and absolutely failed. When you're watching this show, the biggest thing you get is that it doesn't know what it wants to be. It tries to be everything to ever…

So weit, so durchschnittlich.

Honestly speaking, I had a lot of expectations for this anime, because it truly had that much potential! Other than the generic Isekai components like summoned heroes, warring nations, OP game-like stats, blah blah, it boasted a dark fantasy where the MC faces betrayal due to political turmoil and chooses to become an assassin. All of which sounded very exciting and reminded me of anime like Arifureta and Shield Hero! In fact, the first few episodes even gave me a lot of hope that this anime was going to live up to its description.
Alas, as these anime usually go, after the first few episodes, it turned into the usual borefest of the same old “edgy hero finds damsel in distress and falls in love” trope. All the side characters felt like they only existed to react to whatever the MC was d…

This is my first ever anime review, and I’m writing it for one reason only: this anime is genuinely that bad.
I don’t usually bother reviewing shows. If something is mid, I move on. If something is trash, I drop it and forget it exists. But this series managed to be so aggressively plot-less, generic, and disappointing that I felt compelled to finally write a review just to put my thoughts somewhere.
On paper, this anime should work. Assassin MC. Betrayal. Dark fantasy. Political intrigue. The first few episodes even tease the idea that it might rise above the usual isekai sludge. But that illusion collapses fast. What you’re left with is the most formulaic checklist imaginable:
OP main character, video-game stats that mean nothing, edgy aesthetic with zero substance, and weekly conflicts…

This anime is a poor imitation of Arifureta, with a weak story and shallow characters.
An assassin who doesn’t want to kill ,so is this meant to be a serious story or a parody? Even in the most dangerous, near-death situations, he hesitates and is saved in a trivial, cheap way. I can honestly say the elf drives the plot more than the silent protagonist, who doesn’t even know what he wants.
The story is boring because it has no clear goal. Some episodes feel like they last an entire hour due to pointless dialogue and slow pacing. The second half was the worst: the protagonist talks down to his teammates, claiming he’s superior, then immediately acts pitiful. He’s afraid to kill a slave trader and take revenge for his teacher, without any real drama or convincing reason to justify this sha…

I like isekai, the genre is so big for those with big brain to write about it but when given to people who are brainless we got this.
Personally i like isekai where ONLY MC is transport to the other world, then they can really focus on the MC but when they transport the whole class but also write a mediocre characters for all of them then what is the point?
This is another goody two shoes MC where he will always follow the standard 'good' or 'right' thing to do, no killing, no punching (evil)women, no 'ending' a troublesome villain for the sake of I AM A GOOD MC that didnt take life, and what happen next? The writer need to add stupid plots to cover it up. MOST villains will end up dying to another one, or some accident happen then they die, MC hands are clean. typical.
The name ASSASSIN…

Another season, another isekai slop. This one started a bit better than others, but in the end is complete garbage.
Kirito's millionth look-alike, who also dual-wields and drapes himself in black.
This version is a "silent assassin". Nothing about him is silent or an assassin in any way other than his concealed presence ability. You would think he'd use it to, you know, assassinate enemies, but no, he fights opponents head-on with a katana like a vanguard. Yes, the assassin's weapon of choice is a samurai sword.
On the topic of killing, our so-called assassin is incapable of killing anybody, no matter how evil they are.
The classic "I can't bring myself to deliver the final blow to anybody, even if they are literal demons bringing harm to my loved ones, because that would make me a murde…
