Qualidea Code

Introduction

On a quiet and peaceful day, the skies split open and extradimensional beings, designated as the Unknown, launch a swift and brutal attack against humanity. To protect the future of the country, all of Japan's children are cryogenically frozen until the end of the war to keep them out of harm's way. Several years pass, and humanity has established a foothold in a corner of Japan, which now serves as the frontline of the war. No longer facing humanity's extinction, the children are awakened from their slumber. It is then discovered that, while in cryogenesis, the children had developed Worlds, supernatural powers unique to each person. The six most powerful children are given command of the reclaimed cities, using their powers to defend the strongholds against the continuing invasion. Childhood friends Ichiya Suzaku and Canaria Utara lead Tokyo, siblings Kasumi and Asuha Chigusa manage Chiba, and Maihime Tenkawa and Hotaru Rindou oversee Kanagawa. Over time, the almost routine attacks from the Unknown and the clashing personalities of the city heads and subheads cultivate petty rivalries, leading to constant arguments between the three cities. With the Unknown suddenly increasing the pressure of their attacks, the three cities' leaders must learn how to work together or risk losing the last line of defense against humanity's extinction. ((Review: English - Español)) ** English= This anime is very similar to Black Bullet (2014), and both suffered from the same issues: weak animation and a rushed story. It’s a straightforward, to-the-point series about young fighters, packed with action and aliens in a post-apocalyptic world. Don't expect much more than that from a 12-episode run. For a short anime tackling this genre, I think it pulls things off fairly well, but the animation leaves a lot to be desired. There are scenes where the characters look pretty off-model, almost as if they were drawn in a hurry. With better animation, this series could have been so much better. In short, if you’re looking for a quick, fast-paced show about action, aliens, and young warriors fighting to save the world, this is for you. P.S. Into…

An extremely clichéd and boring anime. Repetitive, clichéd characters and no depth. The story is completely boring and disappointing, every time you feel like "Ah, it's going to get better now" it turns into a ridiculous story disaster again. The weakness in the visual design of the characters is quite evident and for an anime of that year, it's quite annoying. When I see anime like this, my heart aches for the beautiful manga that couldn't be turned into anime. Maybe if they had made it into an ecchi, it would have been a little more bearable, but what they made is ridiculous, a waste of time, and boring.

Now, Qualidae Code is an anime I liked a lot and many people have mixed or negative feelings about. It is probably due to expectations. The anime series has a simple enough plot: youngsters that were kept in cryo-sleep had woken up with powers referred as “world” in them, and, are fighting against invading aliens from an alternate dimension. The question is, is this a rightful fight. We have seen many SF anime, manga, and TV series based on the concept and at times Qualidae Code resembled the film Island a lot in the first few episodes – at least for me. The quality of animation is not great, music is not bothersome but is not a real supporter of the storyline, either. So, why do I recommend it with such a high score, then? Because it ticks important check points for me: does it contain e…

I have a soft sport for what I call the "mediocre magical battle school anime of the season" and for some reason Qualidea Code stands out as a pretty decent entry in my silly made-up genre. Despite being trope-heavy, I enjoyed the characters and the plot better than most of these average seasonal entries in the genre. The MC is strong but is very prideful and slow to catch on to things which keeps them from dominating the story and falling into the power fantasy/oberpowered trope that most of these do. Overall it wasn't bad and the story is complete and doesn't leave many loose ends.

Story was confusing, and really dumb. 3/10. Had me confused, then help me realize and then the things that enemy done in the end got me confused again. Animation changed from bad to worse at times 4/10 Op and ed was good 6/10 Characters 5/10 saving point is chibura siblings especially kasumi. Ichika delusional hero was cringe, annoying and beyond stupid and boring i was happy every second he wasnt on screen. His childhood friend/crush Canaria was typical airhead who was useless most of time unless she is singing and giving them strenght using her powers (her song was really nice i enjoyed it). Chibura siblings Kasumi was typical cool badass type who doesnt give a shit and wasnt being cringe or anything i loved him most. His sis was same, nothing to hate about them. Hime was more like i…

Condensing Qualidea Code into a single score may be one of the hardest things I've ever done on MAL. I went into it completely blind, drawn in purely by the character designs and atmosphere in the official artwork. Frankly, this is the correct way to view the show: with zero expectations. Not because it will disappoint you, necessarily, but because it will defy any and all expectations you could possibly go in with. Without spoiling anything, this defying of expectations is intentional and built into the heart of the story. However, the creators may have overshot building up the main plot twists. Keen observers will no doubt recognize the cracks in Qualidea Code's world within the first several episodes, but with no acknowledgement of them from the show itself, it's easy to mistake these…

It is not the best series, but it is not the worst either. The OPs and EDs in charge of LiSA, ClariS and GARNiDELiA are excellent. From time to time the animation falls and crashes and at times it is a gem and it is seen that in some scenes they forgot about the animations or did not give them the budget. At times you see only static characters, recycled scenes or simply the background with nothing but the audio because yes. The story is interesting, I recommend the manga (obviously) to delve deeper into the story and get to know the full background of the characters. No OP characters or with PowerUps Much siscon and brocon worthy of this anime style Still a good series to watch in one go and it doesn't feel like a waste of time. /////////// No es la mejor serie, pero tampoco es la…

well well well what do we have here another high school related anime, is what i thought and i might have enjoyed it a bit more. the whole plot of the anime is confusing, SPOILERS- i don't understand how the demons and there weapons work (tentacles) like is its from there bodies or is that there world power :/. and so on like how does the powers work and what world did they experience its really confusing well let's get to the rating. story : 5/10 it's not that bad but it wasn't well done tho. there where moments that would have improved if the story was a bit different so that there could be a bit more enjoyment from the story. art: 3/10 in some panels the art was garbage in the other it was straight up drawn by a kiddo, the shading was awful, the faces of the characters where so dum…

No spoilers ahead... Now then boys and girls, this one is one odd, odd doughnut, and calls for as odd of a review, so here we go! The first thing I'll say is that I do recommend watching this, despite giving it just a 6. I would actually rank it 7, as my enjoyment of it was about 7.5/10, but I honestly can't do that as a watcher nor as a critic/analyzer, as the art, sound, animation and drawing style isn't anything outstanding nor special, and the story is pretty... Weak. That's the word I would use, but not a word that does it justice. You see, let's break the story further into smaller elements : first logic and consistency. They suck here - the motivations of half the characters are really realistic and well defined and executed, and the other half is illogical and full of plot holes…

This is definitely an anime that will require you to finish to the end to actually enjoy it, the main character you can tell by the first episode is not very likable to many, I guess it like a person who I really wouldn't like to be with in real life like an actually tsundere who is abusive to some extent lol. Other than the main character all the other character were fine and seem like the generic magic anime whatever. The art style of this anime was amazing, like A-1 pictures always does. Honestly overall it was very enjoyable to me it was really just the fact about the main character being a bit stuck up, it gets kinda annoying kinda but overall it wasnt bad. If people never finish the whole anime it is hard to appreciate and for someone like me I've actually dropped it once and basi…

This anime is a waste of time. - If you payed attention to the synopsis and the anime, it spoils one of the main plot twist in the anime. -The main characters are a really annoying especially Suzaku and Aoi(more than Suzaku), I usually skip them. -One of the mc has some singing power which plays over the dialogues and battle which again is annoying, plus it's the same song so the song doesn't suit most of the battle because there are different developments going on. -Nothing is taken seriously here. Imagine you met your long lost father, instead of breaking out into tears or showing a shocking expression, they make the scene a comedic one. -Nothing makes sense. This is the worst factor of all, I'm not going to spoil it but once you watch the anime towards the end, you'll understand. -The r…

I'll make this short as possible,In terms of Story I was expecting more out of it because of so many people involve in writing and directing the whole show sadly this came to be a double edge sword for it I felt like there were just too many ideas and things that those involved were trying to fit in a 12ep show at the same time that never really complimented each other If this was only given 24 episodes maybe they could have made better decisions on how the story would progress. As for Art I'd give it a good score the designs and every effects are well incorporated.Sound is the one great thing about this It was probably the only thing that made me stick it out till the end.Characters needs more development and backstory other than that it isn't really confusing.I admit that I did have fun w…

This review has been written with the 12 episodes seen by me. Story: 7 It has a good start, a good half and a good finish. The story catches anyone who at least dedicates about 4 episodes. Art: 6 In most cases, the animation is quite good. But it decays too much in certain animations, for example, of the face of the characters. Sound: 7 The music is very good, especially when you sing Canaria, that is perhaps the most outstanding in terms of sound. the rest as well as the opening and ending and others seem good but improved. Character: 6 Acceptable development of the characters, the typical, I have a flashback and story as it was, with whom I lived, etc. Well developed, after all, that is the goal. Enjoyment: 7 As I said before, Qualidea Code does not hook you if not after dedicating 4…

Well I'll make this simple and RIGHT (since the last review I did got removed LOL). Story: Hmmmm.... It was cliche and many things were left in the dark but it wasn't too bad. Only the way it was executed. Plot holes and details that weren't thoroughly explained or not explained at all but it was an amusing anime. Art: It was just right for its year, not that I know much, but after watching older anime I saw that the art is well... Except for a few weird... Times. Oh god. Sound: Well the music saved the anime if I may be bold. It was catchy and somehow gets you hyped and is executed at the right time. Though I don't think it really fit exactly (personal opinion, of course!) Character: Oh yes! Yes! This part is the second best since the characters showed development (explosively and slo…

Honestly this is my first review ever and the only reason is to say that THE ANIME WAS ACTUALLY PRETTY GOOD IMO. I don't know why people keep saying it is a bad anime with shit story if there even is one. Honestly I liked the ideas behind it and the story isn't that simple and shit. It is casual, your usual magic action stuff, fun stuff to watch unless you are expecting some godlike story to blow your mind and be your top anime for the rest of your life. Get your expectations and elitism down a bit... Many animes worse than this is getting higher scores tbh.

First of all I need to just say this THIS IS NOT YOUR GENERIC HAREM LIGHT NOVEL SERIES!! I went into this one with extremely low expectations thinking it was going to be another harem and I didnt think id finish it BUT for once the main character doesnt have 5 girls waiting in line to suck his dick, sure the concept is generic and nothing really special, but for me its mostly the characters and their development that makes this anime great. (this review wont be constructed well, its more of like a rant I guess) The concept like I said isnt too special, it takes place in this world, where these children have a bunch of different superpowers and they have to fight the "unknown" who are constantly attacking. Its not what makes this show for me, but its a solid foundation for this anime. The…

Post-apocalyptic worlds seem to be all the rage these days. In this take here, we find three schools apparently holding back a seemingly endless wave of alien invaders, who had previously already decimated the Tokyo bay area the past. These schools are all filled with unique specialists. Tokyo is filled with flying magicians that use staffs like witch brooms. Kanagawa are melee specialists and apparently utilize a giant aircraft carrier somehow. Finally, Chiba are ranged specialists, using everything from small arms to gigantic WW2-Germany inspired train-mounted mega turrets. With the combined efforts of these three combative schools be enough to hold back the alien invaders? Moreover, why does everyone have a chip stamped on the back of his or her neck? This was one of my stretch watches…

qualidea code is about 6 main protagonist that divided into 3 region(2 people each region). their world is attacked by likely alien called unknown and they fight against it. and that's the main plot of this anime. simple plot, predictable, but its not that bad. quite enjoyable and there're interesting character like chigusa sibling and tokyo pair too. so just give it a try dudes, dont hope some amazing story though. just hope you'll find an enjoyable anime to watch. well with this review i'll praise this anime. the story is not amazing but good, and still enjoyable. this anime deserve more than 6,7 rating. maybe people who give it small score because they hoping too much from 3 great writers, and from A-1 pictures. but end up disappoint because it's not that good. but if you compare it fo…

Children who have been evacuated to a cold sleep facility during the invasion by the "unknown" several decades ago wake up from their slumber and learn that their bodies developed some supernatural forces. In order to protect the country from the "unknown" emerging from the Tokyo bay gate, the boys and girls wage battles in the defense the cities of Tokyo, Kanagawa, and Chiba. Well introduction to the story sounds pretty standard. Children with super powers fighting monsters while adults are cheering them up from the safe spots. But as we learned in anime that is not a bad thing. Stories based on that cliche can be amazing and entertaining. And at the beginning QC does not look bad. It has world with not that many plot holes. We meet world with three cities or rather three schools that d…

First of all i haven't read any of the light novels that the series was based on and as such the first time that i seen the characters and the setting was in the anime itself. The main story revolves around children with special abilities that protect the world that was devastated by alien attacks from them. The setting is a near future version of Japan. As settings and stories go this is pretty genetic. So then lets get started Ichiya who I call Icchan is one of the main characters of the series. Icchan's personality at first is of arrogance and stubbornness which is borne out of his desire to protect the world and Cana. He tends to think highly of himself and does it way too much and at the same time looking down on others. This aspect of him I actually hate. However, despite th…
