Rage of Bahamut: Virgin Soul

Rage of Bahamut: Virgin Soul

Introduction

A decade ago, humans, gods, and demons joined forces to stand against the threat of the colossal dragon, Bahamut. Now, in the present, humans living in the capital city of Anatae have been enjoying lavish and prosperous lives. Their progress is largely due to the administration of the newly appointed king, Charioce XVII, who has stolen a power from the gods and allowed for the abuse and slavery of the demon race in the capital. As humans continue to immorally exploit demons, a sense of hostility against humans begins to build up within demon communities, threatening a revolt. Meanwhile, an atmosphere of uneasiness is spreading among the gods, as they scramble to regain their lost power. Amidst it all, Nina Drango, a cheerful young bounty hunter, has arrived at the Royal Capital with hopes of settling down and earning a living. However, her peaceful life in the capital is quickly thrown into chaos when she crosses paths with the ominous Rag Demon who is determined to seek revenge against humans, and Kaisar Lidfard, a noble knight battling an internal moral conflict. Shingeki no Bahamut: Virgin Soul continues the tale of the social and moral conflict between humans, gods, and demons, and their struggle for survival and dominance. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

A story about a bunch of idiots doing unfathomably stupid and evil shit under the pretense of saving the world, while some horny chick with a romance complex gets in the way of everything. Animation / Art / General Visuals - 8/10 ----------------------------------------------- The show looks quite good. Nice clean art, good special effects. Animation isn't amazing, but in general still very good. Sound / Music / Voice Acting - 8/10 ------------------------------------------ Good across the board. Story - 4/10 ------------- It started interesting, but in the end the story can just be described as stupid. Some great evil sieged the world some years back, and using that as an excuse one dude decided that the best course of action is to betray everybody, and kill all their allies an…

This is definitely the kind of sequel that does nothing but disgust even the most casual fan of the first season. Shingeki no Bahamut: Genesis even with its lack of ambition deserved and should have had a better sequel. First, because the previous season was as basic as it could have been, a clichéd and predictable narrative, but above all pleasant and functional. Something Virgin Soul is far from, although it shares the same weak structure. Genesis is simple and well-executed, while Virgin Soul is a mess. We'll start with the story first. The story takes place 10 years after the events of Genesis. The capital of Anatae lives an era of great prosperity, thanks in part to the new king, Charioce XVII, being as stupid as the previous king, his peculiarity being that he is a tyrant who strong…

I'm gonna say it loud and clear: This is the best anime to watch if you like Wattpad enemies to lovers. Im talking to the Harry Potter fanfic girls, yea you know it! AND the song!! The Daoko song "Cinderella Step" is a banger!! After i finished the anime it has been on repeat for DAYSSS not kidding! AND THE DANCE SCENES!!! I've been searching other animes that can fill the void of ending this anime but there isn't one. I also started watching Chinese Anime right now cause it looks like they have more of that stuff. So in conclusion: If you like Wattpad enemies to lovers to enemies and back to lovers, GIVE IT A WATCH, I know my Wattpad Harry Styles fanfic loving girls would love to see it!!!

After completing Genesis ( 1st season of Bahamut ), this was painful to watch * MINOR SPOILERS AHEAD* The forced romance between Chris and Nina The borderline retarded character of Nina was annoyingly painful to watch They just nerfed the gods and demons, the same gods and demons who were way too strong against humans in the first season The main and best characters of the show i.e. Favaro and Kaiser were both pretty much sidelined by that joke of an mc character Nina I GENUINELY WISH THAT I COULD UNWATCH THIS ONE AND NEVER WATCH IT EVER AGAIN, THAT IS JUST HOW BAD I THINK IT WAS, SURE THAT IS JUST MY OPINION AND NOT A FACT !

An insult to the Bahamut's name. Major downgrade from S1. [Light spoilers] Tl Dr: - "The wrongs justify the rigths" This is the anime message, who was visible from the very begging (Ep 7?). Story 3: As said above, the anime plot was visible from the begging. Disappointing. Art 5: Very bad. Almost all women have the same model with different hair. Sound 8: Pretty good. Like the animation, the strong point here. En Characters 5: Almost none for everyone. When the first plot happened, I felt nothing. Enjoyment 6: I felt I could've watched a better anime.. Overall 6: If you have nothing to what, maybe you can lose some time here.

I stumbled on this gem because of an amv and watched the entire genesis series and this in just a weekend. I fell in live with the story and the characters and still can't stop thinking about it. With the way the story develops, you can expect to always be interested in what happens next. I had to force myself to stop and go to sleep. You will fall in love with the characters from genesis all over again and fall in love with the bubbly Nina and the charismatic King Charioce in this season. What is more, they are all drawn so artistically, the art style is breathtaking. This season is not only pleasing to the eye, it is engaging and will leave you wanting more in the end. I look forward to season 3 next year (Yes! There will be another season).

So I was searching for the anime because i happened to see the protagonist "Nina" in some YouTube video and decided to watch it However I knew that there was a prequel only after i completed watching the second season (Shingeki no Bahamut: Virgin Soul) And I have to say : I FREAKING LOVE IT Even the characters that were reintroduced were super clear and understandable And the characters that were complicated held that mysterious aura that kept you wondering and asking yourself question like what's the purpose of doing that and doing this The flashbacks too were awesome ! I know that you are already aware of the events that happened in the 1st season so the flashbacks are somewhat pointless and useless , but for me it gave me room to imagine what happened which added to the fun of the s…

I'd like to start this review off by saying I DID NOT WATCH GENESIS. So based off solely this series I thought it was really good. The characters are all dynamic and the ones that are supposed to be likable are. We see growth for almost every characters. Introduction to additional characters were not awkward and scenes were natural. The show had sad and happy moments and enough rapport is built with the characters so that we can feel emotional in these scenes. The plot had some holes that are never really covered and there are some choices made that seemed unnecessary but it's never addressed as to why some stuff happens but this could be because i did not watch the initial series. However these holes aren't enough to frustrate the viewers just some questions when reflecting. I'd watch thi…

Not spoilers at all, just feeling to make it short everything I have to say. If you get to the Post Final Climax, wishing for this series to end here, and let your beloved retire in peace, after all the bat@$ crazy things that happened, something's very wrong. Some people didn't like the change of protagonist, but Nina is a nice girl overall, and has a exquisite situation that makes me believe that if this wasn't a Bahamutt thing, it could've been better, maybe if they simply have made a straight Spin-Off, where some fan service with recurring characters would be totally welcome, and some things were better explained or proper written, it could've been a very nice Spin-Off, but for a sequel... well, all I can say is "Poor characters, they didn't deserve this".

I think this was a great anime show in so many ways. Epic fantasy story with humour and great characters, including female characters who have both physical power and willpower as well! Every episode was great. Loved the main character Nina, her haircut was also so cute! Then we have Azazel who has this tragic story and he is just so hot and also a great person, and such a badass. He just checks all the marks. And when something tragic happens in this show, it doesn't feel like they put it just to have a tragic plot. It feels natural and not fake. Every death feels natural. And in the end it reminded me of Supernatural TV series. And I loved the parallel between first season sacrifice and this season. Yes there was some inconsistencies with the king motives, but honestly I don't ca…

Okay first of all WHERE TF IS THE ROMANCE TAG????? I watched this show w/o watching season 1 and just treated this as a romance focus series; it's amazing. I love it, given the ship is the focus. I also absolutely adore Azazel's relationship with the boy. Honestly a lot of the existing romance shows out there would benefit from having this amount of general substance instead of 100% romance. Now I'm really intrigued to watch season 1. I don't regret watching season 2 first. I feel like this season serves as such a good hook to what happened 10 years ago personally. Saw in the comments how sad people were about how little Favaro gets to show off instead of focusing on the existing new characters development, so that's a bit of a waste but from the little screen time the old MC had, he…

I will start with this, i never watched the original story so i'm come here for those who havent watched the first story. You don't NEED to watch the first if you don't want to, it will add to your understanding and give background but none is needed to enjoy and understand whats going on. There are many downfalls to the season that make it a tad difficult to watch, some being characters decisions not making any sense to the point that its obvious that they are like that just to keep the story going and forced plot. There's little to no character growth, only, and i mean only the main gets some growth. That being said i stuck it though and did really like it over all. The art is beautiful, the sound is amazing. The over all story is good just poorly executed but i did really enjoy the se…

So I stumbled across this show while browsing around for a fantasy looking anime and watched it without knowing it was a sequel (until I just saw the reviews on MAL just now). That in mind, I had no trouble getting into the world or understanding the characters or anything like that. Perhaps this show was disappointing for fans of the previous season because they had expectations going into it, but because I didn't have any expectations at all going into it I was simply pleasantly surprised by what I found to be a very well told (if a bit cliche) story with cute/expressive/well motivated characters and really good music and art direction. For example I really liked the choice to focus on their eyes and facial expressions quite heavily. While the story had kind of weird pacing, I was actu…

I will be writing a review for those who have yet to watch the SnB series. The top reviews with low scores shown here were reviews created by people who were clearly too attached to the first season and didn't bother understanding the story at all. Story: 9/10 The second season happens 10 years after the events of the first season. The story introduces a new character with a cheery personality named Nina as the protagonist. Just by watching the first episode, one can clearly see that this MC is not a nobody. Hints were scattered here and there which establishes her character. This is not limited to the MC. The episodes give hints as to what kind of character the cast are. This story of the anime spans between the different perspective of the characters. There were no “Out of Nowhere” mom…

If Genesis was a pretty good good old fashion action-adventure fantasy story, then virgin souls is a train wreck of a story a 14 year old teenager wrote after reading twilight. SPOILERS OBVIOUSLY BELOW Virgin souls features many past characters, and this is one of the ONLY good points of the story. These characters were already well fleshed out in the previous story, and they serve as a crutch to make sure the story makes any sense at all, and also heavily supports the "character development" of the new characters. I would also like to point out that although most of the reoccurring characters are pretty good, some of the old characters merely serve as a way to progress plot and have drastic personality and decision choices throughout the entire story. Moving on, The new characters...…

I just cannot understand why this show is rated as good as it is. Afer watching shingeki no bahamut:genisis i was kinda hyped for the next season. It wasn't anything really really great but i enjoyed it quite a lot. I think the first season left a lot of room for character develpment and i thought we would really get to know more about the main characters that i personally liked quite a bit. But then this happend. For the first few episodes i was still hoping that the sory around the new main character was some kind of arc just like what series like bungou stray dogs like to do. But after each episode i came closer to realising that they really changed the main character that i so loved into a rather annoying girl who i just couldn't relate to. To sum up what i just said. If you want to w…

I have just finished to watch Rage of Bahamut Genesis and Virgin Soul. I did enjoy the both. I even enjoyed more Virgin Soul where you have more complex characters and relations. Sorry if I made mistakes but English is not my mother tongue. It’s funny how Japanese love to mix different clothes styles and period time like middle age, 19th century and minimalist clothes for the women. The crown looks a bit strange. Seen numerous opinions disapproving that 2d season, I might upset some people. Despite the big number of negative cirtics, the rate remains honorable. A lot of people did enjoy but do not dare to give their opinion. At the first episode, I have to confess I was quite quickly intrigued by the character of the king who dares to challenge and fight both demons and gods. I’m eston…

Well this is an overall disapointment of a show, after a good first season we leave for a new adventure with bad caracthers, bad plot and with no goal in sight. People would say its an adventure but its more like the diary of 16 year old girl than anything else. The episodes she is featured in heavily are boring or infuriating. Most of the season we don't know what the goal is nor is anything explained until the last 5 episodes and then we rush deaths and fights and endings, nothing is satisfying. The art is the saving grace alot of amazing stills, the animation is ok but alot of cgi pulls it back. I dragged myself through this wondering should i even finish it and why am i doing this, but the are decent episodes in the middle and Favaro,Rita,Kaisar and Bachus are decent returning caract…

Do you want to read a fair and concise review about Shingeki no Bahamut Virgin Soul? The only thing good about the plot is the romance between Nina and the Charioce - and even the romance is kind of annoying. The rest of the anime is just bullshit. Story 3/10 - It just looks like some inexperienced person wrote the whole thing without planning ahead. There are some aspects that aren't explained at all and other aspects that are poorly explained, affecting the understanding of the story Art 7/10 - The art was good. There was nothing surprising or outstanding about it in this anime, but, at least, it was decent. Sound 5/10 - I tend to pay attention to the soundtrack, but I don't remember anything remarkable about this anime soundtrack. The OP of the first arc was metal and I didn't reall…

(This review has been adapted from my blog/reddit thread. Spoilers ahead!) Shingeki no Bahamut: Virgin Soul turns the phrase “a helping hand” into a reality with Rita and the literal one she keeps at her side. Granted, it’s technically Kaizer’s, but he’s a happy, helpful little guy regardless. As for Virgin Soul itself, it could have also used a helping hand. For, while certain parts receive a thumbs up, earning two (let alone three) thumbs up is sadly not in its palm reading. STORY The first season of Shingeki no Bahamut (subtitled Genesis) surprised pretty much everyone when it first landed on the community’s lap back in Fall 2014. Based on a mobile card game, people (maybe rightfully so) expected failure for the project before it even released. Instead, it shattered preconceptions, b…
