Pure Mail easily ranked on the top of my favorite hentai list from the first 10 minutes. The plotline, while simple, was incredible and a unique idea for a hentai. The 30 minute episodes include the effects of child abuse, meeting people on the internet and a dysfunctional family.
The main male protagonist, Kei is by far the most complex hentai character I've come across. One very unique aspect of this series is characters with a back story. Kei becomes lovable within the first few minutes and you find yourself rooting for him to find real tangible love. The main female protagonist, Midori shares just as much complexity with her own personal family issues and fear of relationships. What can I say about this anime? It's amazing! One of the very best hentai's that has a good story. I haven't seen such a good hentai like this in a while. Usually I would just watch hentai for "erotic" pleasure, but this, its a whole nother thing on its own. It has a great story and combines great use of the more intimate scenes. This would've made an awesome ongoing anime, I'm just a bit sad it ends at 2 episodes. The art is fine, but other than that I HIGHLY RECCOMEND this to someone who likes romantic anime's in general, they don't have to like hentai, because its more of the story that pops out in this anime, the sex scenes just add more to it. I really wish there was more episodes to this, this would've made an awesome anime series. Any person who loves romance animes should watch, s…

However, behinds those masks are our true selves in which we seldom reveal even to our closest of kin, if at all. Pure Mail seems to remind us of the scars, secrets, and skeletons in the closet in which you or those around you may have hidden behind that mask.
It’s not very often you come across a good story and well developed characters in hentai. Pure Mail dives deep psychologically and delivers an interesting story that ties in topics of childhood abuse, neurotic behavior, internet anonymity, and love. Think of it as a darker version of “You’ve Got Mail” in hentai form... Okay, perhaps that’s a long shot, but Pure Mail is certainly one of the best hentai…
