Michiru moves to the big city, Tokyo and into a house with three other (mostly) functioning adult girls. Nao is the biggest drunk of them all and works at a clothing store, her sister Makoto is still in college and works in a cafe part time and Kae is the oldest of the group who works as a wedding planner and I have no idea how she's still single because every guy should be lining up for this lady.
We do catch glimpses of the girls' work/school too but most of the show is spent inside their house with them engaging in various social drinking and or consuming of food with each other. Sometimes they might head out too but the premise of the show is very simple in general.
On that note, I was very happy with them featuring various gourmet elements in the show too and not just alcohol. Defin…

I can't find a reason for me to not like this. There's just something about it that was simple and clean and got you well intoxicated with all of the different options they present to you (to be completely honest, the one thing that comes to mind about this is that it was put together by makers of beer, liquor and wine.) They teach you how to make drinks and which ones do what, but they also provide a history of each drink and I found it to be fun. It's really easy to just relax with.
There is just enough to the characters to make it easy to digest; spread out with different backgrounds and ages for their professions and/or life stage. The visuals around it are simple, solid and bright, invoking what's supposed to be happiness. The idea of drinking alcohol with your friends is supposed to…

Takunomi is the only anime I’ve seen that focuses primarily around casual drinking of low alcohol beverages like beer, wine, and cider, which I personally enjoy and drank some of prior to writing this review. Bartender was also a great show, but it has a very different atmosphere and focuses on a bartender providing the perfect drink for each of his customers.
Takunomi shows us various girls in this collge dorm who have different experiences with alcohol. Some parts of it are honestly kind of nostalgic to when I first started drinking and was still getting used to this strange world of alcohol. The story follows Amatsuki Michiru as she learns more about alcohol and her roommates’ dependence on it.
The art is pretty standard, which I can’t complain about. It presents a group of young adul…

As a beer enthusiast, this anime was very enjoyable to me.
The story has nothing extraordinary about it, however the alcohol theme behind it is what made this anime really stand out for me.
I'll be honest, if you are not much of a drinker, you might not enjoy this as much as I did. But if you love to tip the drink like I do, this is a must watch.
Each episode has a different theme when it comes to a specific alcoholic beverage and goes impressively into detail about the drink and how to best enjoy it. It does a good job focusing on the details behind the drink rather than just getting boozed (although it sure doesn't shy far from the inebriation factor).
The characters were very likable for me and easy to relate to, capturing my interest further in the anime beyond just the booze.

Are you happy? Drink!
Are you sad? Drink!
Are you hungry? Drink!
Are you afraid? Drink!
Did you get a new job? Drink!
Did you buy new clothes? Drink!
Have you lost weight or gained weight? Drink!
Did you watch an anime about alcoholic drinks? Drink!
Do you want a hug? Hug the beer bottle! (And drink the beer later) ... Are you drunk? DRINK!
Well, what do I have to say about an anime that encourages you to drink to solve or celebrate everything and anything? (If you are over 18/20, of course)
This Anime has a story about 4 women living in a shared house in Tokyo and how they drink for everything that happens.
Michiru Matsuki: A woman extremely worried to fit the standards of Tokyo; Seems to be the main character in the story;
Makoto Kiriyama: The most sober character in the entire anime;…

At first glance Takunomi doesn't seem like a great anime, but while continuing to see chapters, you begin to realize that it brings a different approach to other animes, speaks from the perspective of the young adult who begins his work life. What I love about this anime is how it portrays that life, because life is not simple, as most of the animes of this style show, that in this society you must make an effort to get your things, but you should not stress yourself too much and from time to time you should relax,in this case it's expressed through alcohol and the meaning it has for people who have a full-time job.
That's why I find Takunomi innovative, it shows that life is not simple, but you should not get depressed and from time to time you have to…

OK, LAST CALL , LAST CALL, THE BAR IS ABOUT TO CLOSE!!!!!!!!
Booze, booze, boooooze, too many boooze that goes around this anime, and I don't even know if I'm watching the slice of life of the 4 girls in a girls sharing Stella House or a series of booze endorsements, so, I'll have a Vodka Stirred not Shaken:
Poor 3, Story:
When you watch this anime , you'll be surprise by a lot of info dump about as what appetizer goes well with booze, if you're a tea toddler , then this is a wtf thing for you, Cu'z you wouldn't wanna give a shit about what goes well with what. On the other hand, if you're an otaku boozer then this may be a thing for you, which I kinda doubt, since otaku's weren't that cool when it comes to partying and booze is the everything. Let's face it man, most otaku's would shy…

Grab a beer, some snacks and let's start this review.....unless your underage then...soda?
Girls and beer has been sorta a small trend of anime shorts as of late as LA writes this review like Osake wa Fuufu ni Natte kara and Wakako-zake and Takunomi is no different looking at 4 girls and their love of beer.
Takunomi looks at the daily lives of the 4 girls, Michiru Amatsuki voiced by Ayaka Imamura, our main protagonist who transfers to Tokyo and works at a start up company, Makoto Kiriyama voiced by Maaya Uchida, a college student who is the minder to her older sister and clerk to a clothing store Nao voiced by Chika Anzai and finally, wedding planner Kae Midorikawa voiced by Mikako Komatsu.
LA doesn't need to tell you of this cast's chemistry and their love of beer with LA's favourite c…
