Obey Me!

Obey Me!

Introduction

Brothers Lucifer, Mammon, Leviathan, Satan, Asmodeus, Beelzebub, and Belphegor are among the most powerful demons in the Devildom, serving as officers on the student council at the Royal Academy of Diavolo (RAD). However, being avatars of the seven deadly sins, their behaviors often tend toward the extreme. Their everyday antics belie their high status and fearsome reputations among others of their kind. When viewed behind the scenes, the members of this family are more lovable—and laughable—than they first seem! [Written by MAL Rewrite]

It's fine if you are looking for something to idly watch or you are a fan of Obey Me, but I personally was disappointed with short episodes and 2 of them being FILLER it just doesn't feel like an anime i can enjoy. It did get a few laughs out of me but that was about it, I dont even think the artstyle matches either in my opinion, if the eyes were more detailed maybe? (think hypnosis mic anime). The story (or lack there of) was so basic too, it just feels like tropes from other animes sandwiched into this and whilst you do get some of their character and personality the pay off is that it just feels... bad. And rushed. The voice acting is good, the animation is.. eh... the artstyle is... ehh... the story is ... ehhh.. the episodes are.. eh.. TLDR: it was overwhelmingly okay.

This is a fun short form anime series to watch especially if you're into otome dating sim game. I used to play the game myself back in the day when it became available on google play store (Levi is best boi btw) anyways I was surprised all these years later to find out it had a short episode series two of them actually. Overall enjoyable hijinks from the demon brothers that are very comedic and easy to get into. I give it a 8 out of 10, would've ranked it higher if the episodes were a tad more longer but unfortunately that's the trade off with short form series like this fun and memorable in their own way but are shallow compared to other anime that have a longer run time.

Obey Me! based on the demon-themed game, completely won me over. Honestly, I’d give it a 10/10 without hesitation if only the episodes weren’t so short. That’s the one thing that makes me a little sad, because I always want more time with the characters. Even so, I absolutely recommend this anime to anyone who wants something fun, chaotic, and full of personality. I haven’t laughed this hard at an anime in a long time. The humor is perfect, the characters are hilarious, and the whole vibe is just incredibly entertaining. It captures the spirit of the game so well that it feels like spending time with old friends. And speaking of the game, I definitely recommend Obey Me! itself too. If you enjoy the anime, the game makes the whole experience even better.

As a fan of Obey Me, I was pretty shocked that they made an ACTUAL anime series. Although the episode are more like short five minute episodes, not that they don't have a lot of heart. I do think that the series can be a bit like Slice of Life (Ok, 99% of it is), but I don't complain. After watching Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, I grew to like Slice of Life and the episodes are fun to watch with funny gags and all our beloved characters/husbandos (Ok, not all of them). Other than that, the series itself is pretty intriguing and can be beloved by many fans of the Obey Me series.

I loved playing the mobile dating sim, and was really excited about the anime. But it's... really disappointing. The episodes are short, there's no real substance, the humor is bad, and they missed the nail on some of the original characters' personalities. I would probably rate it worse if I wasn't holding onto the nostalgia of my love for the game, and especially for the twins, Beelzebub and Belphegor. They did them a little justice in this show, at least. They made most of the characters really irritating and dislikable, and the story was boring. If you played the game prior to watching this show, this really isn't worth the time. If you've never played the game, I promise you'll enjoy it much more than this show.

I'd say this anime doesn't appeal to those who don't already know the Obey Me characters; sure, you can understand fine, but there's no attachments to be formed with such short episodes. It was fine as a sort of slice of life, but I don't know if it's worth watching unless you have a particular attachment to the game or want to get into the game. Personally, as I haven't played the game and haven't got an interest in otomes, I didn't care for the plots, but they were goofy enough that they didn't bore. As a time killer I might recommend, if nothing else.

Ok, first of all, I'm gonna say, I have never experience or heard voice acting (or casting) as bad as this, I have heard amateur voice acting better than this in some indie games or whatever. But this... to be hearing this quality of voice acting in a supposedly professional made animation is just.... not entirely tolerable. I love otome games, especially if they are a bit dark. I wanted to play Obey Me for a while but I didn't have a time to yet, so when I notice it has anime I just went and watch it just to see how is the vibe and everything, the idea of making 7 princes of hell to be love interest is interesting to me, but turns out it is just mediocre, some of them are just not lazy enough or angry enough, but whatever. There is nothing wrong with it being typical otoge with typical…

I DON'T RECOMMEND WATCHING THIS IF U DON'T PLAY THE GAME / DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT IT! (i play the game and i very much love it so this might be biased) When i heard the news about Obey Me getting an anime i was very excited, i watched it immediately and it did live up to my expectations. I loved it. PROS: Beautiful art-style, very colorful. Voice acting is great. Each character is unique and funny. AN AMAZING ED SONG WHICH IS SANG BY THE CHARACTERS VA'S!!! CONS: Episode length (5 mins or so). There isn't any ''story''. Each episode is a new story, but they did a good job with it. Overall: Story: 6 Art: 9 Sound: 9 Character: 9 Enjoyment: 8 Overall: 8. I was gonna give it a 9 but because of the episode length i wasn't fully satisfied so im giving it 8. (SEASON 2 IS COMING THIS SUMMER…

Originally watched this since I am a fan of the game. I don't really suggest/recommend this anime unless you played the game yourself. The art is good, however, I just feel awkward looking at some of the frames. Not much of a problem though. The music is okay, but not to the point it's iconic. The characters are good, and it makes me want to go back into the game for them. Even though I rated this anime a 6/10, there are a few episodes that gave me several laughs. I honestly wish the episodes were longer, but they did provide enough content within each episode despite it being short.. except 2/12 of the episodes which were filler. Besides that, I like how it focused on 7 of the brothers and they didn't make a harem protagonist. Because if it did it would be a cheesy reverse harem anime(…

I really like watching Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun, so when I saw Obey Me on part of the recommendation I decided to watch. It does have a similar vibe to it. The genre of the show does of course have supernatural stuff with some comedy here and there. The 7 demon brothers are all one-dimensional characters. They are the same at the end as they are at the beginning. So they’re pretty predictable. They are cute boys doing cute things. It does fit well with the tag. For you to understand what each brother represents you’re going to have to play the game. There is no plot in the show. Each of the episodes is not connected. Each episode has a different plot and it’s a bit slow. The theme of it is just about Demons in a demon world. They emphasize mostly comedy. The animation was…

There isn’t much to say. This anime is an adaptation from an Otome Game. We all knew that it wouldn’t be a masterpiece but it still exceeded my expectations. Everything was fine. Just average. It isn’t good but there’s also nothing wrong with it. It’s just cute boys doing cute things and I think that it was the right thing to do. There was no female protagonist with her harem which would have made it much worse. I don’t regret watching it but I wouldn’t watch it again. I wouldn’t really recommend it either but I wouldn't advise you not to watch this Anime either.

As someone who has played the game, I thoroughly enjoyed the anime adaptation of Obey Me! Although it would've been much better if they made the anime 20 mins long so that it would give time for the people who haven't played the game to fall inlove with the characters. (And also for Satan and Lucifer to get more screentime LMAO) But, overall, I did enjoy the show and some episodes were actually in the actual story of the game so it was fun watching it get animated. 10/10 would recommend the game so that y'all could see more of our demon hotties ;) (and the other hot side characters that were only shown in ep 12 !!)

Obey Me! is definitely a short anime series meant to be primarily enjoyed by those who are into the Obey Me! games already. It does a good job promoting the game too, however, for people who haven't played or heard of the game before. 6/10 overall, 7/10 for enjoyment :) For context, Obey Me! is an otome game (dating sim for girls) where you more or less try to romance the seven different devil boys who are also the main characters of the anime. So it's pretty obvious as to why players would enjoy this anime since they can see a bit more into the lives of the characters and the shenanigans they go through. From the perspective of someone who hasn't played the game before, the anime has its fair share of funny and heartwarming moments depending on what sort of humour you're into. The world…
