# Use less reincarnation next time ?
A terrible and huge disappointment. It doesn't take long to realize that being reborn, for the main female character, serves no purpose in this anime, other than to explain her willingness to fight (and fight some more). Unfortunately, for the viewer who would have wished to see her previous life experience (as a hero-king, no less) to shine throught the events of her new life, only unmet expectations are waiting in line, episodes after episodes, as it piles up without anything - absolutely nothing - worthy of note. And what makes it even worse even is that it is unsure if this is the anime (as a media) or the story (the source) fault, alltogether.
Maybe I *had* myself too much expectations but it's understandable from the synopsis alone :
This female…

I finished watching this anime between 9 December and 13 December 2025. At the start, I’ll just say this — yes, it is a good anime.
Story: This is not a normal isekai. Our main character Inglis spent his entire life serving people and his kingdom happily. Because of that, the goddess Alistia offers him a wish as a reward. Inglis wishes that in his next life he wants to live as a sword and master it… BUT plot twist — he is reborn in the future as a girl! 😂😂😂 Even the MC was shocked about the gender change.
The anime shows how she becomes strong. How she fights monsters. How she trains and prepares to fight. How she understands politics and uses her experience to move forward — you will learn all that when you watch the series.
I would give it 8 out of 10 and recommend that you watch i…

It feels like I was shown just an episode from an anime, not the anime itself. The first five episodes are almost meaningless and can be easily skipped. The story only starts to develop after the main character enters the magic academy. A few classes are shown, a couple of characters are introduced. Some of them seem interesting, but in the end, none of it really matters except for the battle in episode twelve.
The reincarnation plot feels completely unnecessary. It doesn’t affect the events in any meaningful way and could have easily been replaced with anything else.
We’re shown a couple of brutal killings, which fits the medieval-style setting. Still, it comes across as odd at times. The protagonist seems more eager to save villains than regular people. The way it’s presented, it feels…

Where do I even start? Honestly, this anime is just plain stupid. I can't believe a studio had the nerve to animate this trash, and I think I even saw it has a game adaptation. First off, the title is misleading where is the 'blade'? When all she does is kick and punch with mana, it should be called 'Master the Mana' instead of 'Master the Blade'.
Plus, it's unclear who the actual enemy is throughout the series. And what about those Hyral Menas? What even are they? They’re described as weapons, but then they’re using weapons themselves? You only find out their true nature in the last episode, which is just frustrating. And it's hilarious how Ripple suddenly mentions having a homeland out of nowhere, i thought they are produced? Fuck this shit, can we get some proper explanations? This was…

This series started with a fairly promising premise, namely, that a heroic King who worked hard for his people has died and reincarnated as a woman. In his, now her, new life, she is determined to enjoy herself with her favourite past time- fighting. This premise had quite a lot going for it and could have been very interesting with the twin plot points of a protagonist who worked for others before but now wants to enjoy themselves and the struggle between the two drives- the desire to help and the desire to have fun as well as that of a man becoming a woman. Unfortunately, none of these plot point comes up at all. The protagonist has no adjustment time or development. The protagonist also remains completely OP, comfortably out classing almost every opponent. As a result there is no tensio…

I like it because "Eiyuuou, Bu wo Kiwameru Tame Tenseisu," or "Reborn to Master the Blade: From Hero-King to Extraordinary Squire♀,". This anime manages to present a fresh isekai narrative by examining a story of heroics and hard training. The high-quality animation accentuates the epic battles, and the detailed character designs reinforce the visceral feel of the story. The reincarnated main character offers emotional depth and realistic struggles in reaching the pinnacle of knighthood. Intelligent dialog and mature character development keep the series engaging from start to finish. This is a must-watch for fans of the isekai genre or stories about the journey to greatness.

Starts very strong but the pacing is very poor. They introduce several important plot elements but do not resolve any on them, the final episode felt like it would be the 6th in any other 12 episode anime. There are so many important questions the viewer asks through the season, but literally none of them are answered by the end and there was nothing indicating a second season. The title of the anime is also very misleading, as the main character actually rarely uses a blade at all in the last 6 episodes.
That being said the characters are enjoyable and the animation is well done. If this gets another season to continue the storyline I will definitely watch it.

Reborn to Fight is one of the more underrated shows of the season. A concentrated dose of high octane action with a surprisingly decent story underneath, carried by a badass female MC.
Animation / Art / General Visuals - 9/10
-----------------------------------------------
The show looks great. The art style is incredibly clean and well rendered. There is a heavy focus on melee fighting and the animation is good enough to make it seem fluid and exciting. There's a notable weight behind punches and kicks, so you actually feel the power and speed of the characters. It's definitely a notch above your average show.
Sound / Music / Voice Acting - 7/10
------------------------------------------
Voice acting is solid for a JP anime, though there's not too much to remark about the sound or m…

The anime started off pretty great, but as the show went on, there was absolutely nothing happening.
This is an "semi-Isekai" (Reborn, but in the same world), and the king is reborn as a waifu. I thought there were be more comedic moments with this, but nothing came out of it. On top of this, the main character is a battle junkie with 0 character growth by the end.
I kept watching hoping for something interesting, but as the show dragged on, every episode became more painful and boring to watch. I'm a pretty positive Isekai reviewer who's at least enjoyed the bad Isekais as well. But unfortunately, this Isekai is not just bad, but its painfully boring.
I wouldn't recommend watching this one, even for heavier Isekai/Semi-Isekai/Fantasy fans. There are so many good shows out there to wat…

Should've been called "Reborn to Fight".
This whole time I was watching to see how the MC grew her prowess with the sword and what does this battle junkie do instead? Spend the whole show kicking and punching things or learning to make mana and use mana when she already has a higher ranked skill: aether.
Not to mention SHE used to be HE? This show wouldn't have been different if this girl was a reincarnated queen instead of a king. It served the story 0%.
And why does everyone look so much older than they are? I know it's common in anime but c'mon the main leads are middlescoolers? The holy knights are 20-something and younger? The barrier lady is apparently the only adult in school? God forbid we have a show where adults actually do their job or even just high schoolers. Nah that wou…

tl;dr OP MC is OP and wants to fight everyone. a better version of Kuro no Shoukanshi but still did not live up to its potential.
Let's begin this review of an isekai by first lining it up against the three pillars of trash-tier isekai.
OP MC? Yes. Undoubtedly and unabashedly OP MC.
Tycoon focus? No. At no point does Inglis appear to be interested in becoming rich.
Harem? No? Inglis acquires a group of women as companions but they do not serve as romantic interests.
Looking pretty good so far eh? Avoided two of those dastardly pillars already. Why did I give this a 4/10 then?
There's been plenty of OP MC's in anime and especially in isekai/reborn animes and the MC of this show, Inglis, is no different, being reborn with powers beyond the pale that put her contemporaries, enemy and comp…

By all rights I should have loved this series after all it ticked so many boxes for me...
Genderbending, isekai, interesting world, OP protag who just likes to have fun with it.
And yet, it just falls short.
I'll briefly go into what it does right.
The first few episodes are a really strong start, they set up the characters, introduce the world, the structure of the people in it, and the threats that are going to be faced.
More than that, we get a good amount of mysteries / questions that arise that hooks us into watching more.
On to what I don't like.
The conflicts between characters feels weak.
The MC lacks all interest in the plot / events of the world, which makes me lose interest as it is a background thing that the MC doesn't seem to want to get engaged in. - If the MC doesn't car…

This story is super cool and definitely worth checking out! The fantasy world created in this tale is detailed and fascinating, with a mix of magic and sword fighting that plays an important role in the plot. Plus, the character of Inglis is really strong as a noble princess with an unwavering determination and fighting spirit.
However, there are a few weak points in terms of character development and some parts of the story could use a bit more explanation. This makes the plot feel a bit disjointed at times and some events seem to happen too quickly.
Still, overall this story is really engaging and perfect for fans of the fantasy genre. It's definitely a great choice for anyone looking for an exciting new adventure to follow!

Summary
This season had its fill of Isekai anime, and I will add this one to that pile. Yes, I can already hear you saying; "but this isn't an actual Isekai."
Sure, you may technically be correct, but for all practical purposes, it follows the same general line of story and plot beats, so it may as well be one.
The old king dies after a long and honorable life building up his nation and making it prosperous for his subjects. As he dies he gets a favor from the goddess for a life well lived, and onto his next life he goes. Or rather, onto the next life she goes. Not sure why they made the MC into a female in the next life, as I do not think it has served much of a purpose in this first season, but sure, alright then.
Yes, there are some callbacks to how perspectives are different now tha…

An anime where the protagonist becomes overpowered. Just turn your brain off and watch for the action.
Another anime that lets you vicariously feel the pleasure of being superior to everybody else around you. You get angry by the injustice that exists, and you watch on to see how the protagonist fixes this injustice by her obsession with getting stronger.
One difference this show has to others is that the protagonist is isekai-ed probably to the future of her own world; the protagonist was not a resident of Earth in the first place.
Shows like these are enjoyable if you eat something delicious after a long hard day of work or study; they don't require you to be emotionally invested or to be thinking a lot.
This is the kind of anime I wanted to watch and I got it.
The art style looks l…

starts out kind of promising but quickly goes downhill and turns into crap. only finished watching it to pad my mal list lol.
characters are bland. especially our main character which is just a battle junky done very poorly. the concept of a battle junky can and has been done very well but this one just comes off as empty.
story and fights are also insanely predictable and boring.
i dont really think anyone past the age of 12 will watch this anime and enjoy it. overall there are worse series than this but its definitely worse than most. ima give it a 4/10.

Reborn to master the blade, but becomes Vegeta instead.
This is more like what I’m looking for in a isekai power fantasy than most of the shows that came out this season, but there were enough annoying things about it that ultimately I soured on it by the end.
The premise behind this one is that of a kind, beloved king, ruler of a prosperous fantasy empire, being reincarnated into another fantasy world, or maybe the same one, just in a different time (honestly I can’t remember which it is because it’s kind of passed over quickly in the early episodes and never comes up as a plot element later on); the king is reborn as a girl, which he adapts to pretty quickly. That plot hook is wasted for the most part and not really played off of at all, though the reincarnated king, in the body of a l…

Finally, a good action anime with a strong female main character. I am very excited for this, not only is the story good, but I can see that slowly the anime/manga industry is moving away from it's misogynistic ideas and bias, if until now we only got animes/mangas in which the main characters were always male and only them were OP and centered on harems, this anime and the other one that aired at the same time with it "Tensei Oujo to Tensai Reijou no Mahou Kakumei" felt very very refreshing and it gives me hope that in the future the female sex will receive more chances to prove themselves worthy of being main characters not only in sticky honey romance and "comedy" but also in action animes. I really hope that we'll get more seasons and that people will rate this anime with a higher rate…

It’s always a bitter sweet moment saying goodbye to your favourite anime in a given season. Now that it’s over, I have nothing but positive things to say about Auo. I will remember this show very fondly and miss it a lot.
Three things make Auo stand out for me among reincarnation/fantasy shows I’ve seen in the past. One, the gender swap gimmick with Inglis originally being an old man and reincarnating as a hot waifu. For two, Inglis’ love of fighting strong opponents. She’s very much a meathead in the same vein as Goku, but way smarter and cuter obviously. Lastly, I love MCs that want to do their own thing rather than saving the world or defeating demon lords etc. Inglis’ main goal is to live a lowkey life as her cousin’s squire. Because of her lack of a magic crest, she is often looked d…

Isekai/fantasy plots are becoming more typical, but haphazard, because for every one copy that came out in the AniManga space, another one is ready to take its place. And set pieces, especially ones that take the tropes to a whole new level, there're many that tries to follow the trend to variable degrees of mediocrity, such is the case with novelist Hayaken's Eiyuu-ou, Bu wo Kiwameru Tame Tenseisu: Soshite, Sekai Saikyou no Minarai Kishi♀ a.k.a Reborn to Master the Blade: From Hero-King to Extraordinary Squire ♀.
Just in case you'd forget due to STM or something, we've actually seen a show like this before: last Winter's Kenja no Deshi wo Nanoru Kenja a.k.a She Professed Herself Pupil of the Wise Man, which has an old man who is the strongest of his own world, through some form of means,…
