In short, if you enjoyed the first season and did not get tired of watching the same formula happen again and again, now with new types of food, then this second season might still work for you.
But if you already felt that the first season was repetitive, the second season may feel even more tiring.
Art: 7/10
The art did not lose quality.
The food still looks very good, and that continues to be the anime’s strongest visual point. The meals look tasty, the presentation is pleasant, and the cooking scenes are still handled with care.
Visually, the anime remains consistent. It is not a masterpiece, but it knows how to make food look appealing.
Story: 4/10
This is where the second season became much weaker for me.
I watched both seasons on the same day, so maybe that made the repetition eve…

I will die for Sui.
This is a no-plot chill anime focused on food. However, the only plot is Sui. The food looks delicious, it will make you hungry, Sui is the best. The main character has an unnatural ability to cook, and nothing really goes wrong for him, but that's good, because he has Sui. Who ever voice acted and voice directed Sui needs to be promoted.
This is the second season and I would say its more enjoyable than the first. It introduced a new familiar and the show revolves around them most of the time. However, the best one is Sui.
Show is 8/10 for its light hearted fun.
Sui is 10/10
I'll die for Sui.

This was a disappointingly stale second season after the first was quite enjoyable. Isekai is not something I often watch so the initial premise felt interesting if not a little contrived, and it seemed like the story had potential to innovate and build upon what it was. Instead, it felt like almost nothing happened over 12 episodes, except for introducing Dora-chan who was unlikeable and annoying (and would’ve been better if liquefied into a soup).
They went to a few towns, explored a dungeon and killed a load of big scary monsters, but because of how strong everyone is, there were no steaks (food pun) at any point. Mukouda remained plain and boring, still screaming and shouting over every encounter like he doesn’t have five octillion blessings and three overpowered familiars in his arse…

The first season was interesting and novel, but the second season is a real drag. Many parts of it are blatant product placement, and I almost regret not finding a better use for my time. Although the introduction of a new companion was exciting at first, it wasn't enough to keep the show from feeling bland at times.
This season was severely lacking in direction, so many of the episodes end up feeling very repetitive. Mukouda's companions kill everything in one hit, so he's forced to bring whatever rare monsters they catch. This shocks the butchers for all of one second (they ALWAYS have the same reaction). Then, he makes a bunch of money after selling the rare materials, and prepares his companions a meal (or ten). There's almost no deviation in this formula because Mukouda constantly fo…

It's good. This anime is literally based around cooking, so... You shouldn't be surprised when it's mostly about cooking.
Despite knowing that, I will say that it's getting a little... Stale.
This season sort of felt like it showed cooking way more often than it did last season, aka: Half, if not most, of the episodes were cooking and a snippet of action.
While this is a comfort anime, if you're coming into this hoping the main character will finally grow a backbone now that he is semi-op, don't get your hopes up :) (he's a coward through-and-through). Don't get me wrong. I love his character, he's just... lacking a little.
Let's hope that if there is another season, maybe they'll focus a little more on his character growth rather than making half of every episode cooking, and a portio…

I feel like this is a lesser version of the first season, it isn't necessarily worse, more like a shallow copy of the same thing. It would be interesting to see more character and world development.
I would've liked to see the protagonist realize how lucky he is to have strong familiars or gods by his side, have him try expanding for a multi-regional business, or tackle on improving the world instead of taking whatever there is in his magic grocery store and reselling for 10x the price; maybe even taking some apprendices to help him feed the big dog would be way more enjoyable to watch. Anything to make him vent less and struggle with new problems more.
It's like he's playing on game+, but he's just repeating the first run instead of trying to do something riskier. I know that it should…

Best comfort anime of the season. If you watched season 1, then, just expect more of that.
Here's a basic summary:
- Lots of cooking and eating.
- gorgeous art (especially the backgrounds)
- cute wholesome moments with our mascots, I mean, familiars.
- Lots of silly comedy
- strictly family friendly. No fan service or degeneracy like loli/incest/harems. A perfect show for kids and adults alike.
- pretty much an extension of season 1, with no significant changes. So, if you liked/hated first season, you will like/hate this.
This is not for everyone, but for those who want to turn off their brain and relax, this is a great series.

Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill – Season 2… wow what a name. While it is another one of those basic Isekai animes with a very specific title and “genre”, it definitely has its merits.
I really enjoyed the art style and animation - the vibrant colors of the food, along with the modern art style made it a decently fun watch in the beginning. The MC’s journey, in this alternate world which he was summoned to, collecting companions and rare meat along the way was a refreshing change of pace from the usual “hero summoned to fight some impeding war / demon”. There is no / very little action in the whole anime, I can’t remember actually seeing many fight scenes. The plot, if we can call it that, focuses more on the different types of meat from various monsters and the MC’s…

I honestly don’t really understand why this anime is so popular. The first season at least had some novelty going for it. It was watchable, mildly entertaining, and the concept felt fresh enough at the time. But this second season completely loses whatever charm the series initially had.
The biggest issue is that nothing meaningful actually happens. Any potentially interesting or story-relevant elements are wrapped up by about halfway through the season, and after that it just turns into a repetitive loop: go somewhere new, cook, move to another city, cook again, and repeat. If there were more episodes, I’m convinced it would just keep going like that indefinitely. If you cut out the cooking scenes entirely, what you’re left with is an extremely thin and boring story with almost no substa…

Campfire Cooking in Another World season 2 is honestly pretty cool. It’s nothing spectacular, but it’s a comfortable, easy watch where you don’t really have to focus too much on story or details. Just like season one, the animation is really nice, and it clearly caters to a niche that not many shows do — mainly food-focused isekai with a laid-back vibe.
That said, after season one it does start to feel a bit repetitive in season two. The familiars are still funny and likable, Sui’s little “pew pew” moments always manage to bring a smile, and Fel is just straight-up badass — the show would honestly lose a lot of its character without him. The gods are always good for a laugh, and the new familiar is also pretty fun.
But in the end, it doesn’t really go much further than that. It’s a chill…

This season was disappointing. It's more of the same and extremely repetitive. It ends abruptly with virtually no progress in the story.
One thing that's really irritating about the writing—and it's been there since the first season—is that every single time the familiars finish eating, they immediately ask for more. Seriously, did they have to include this in EVERY episode? It's incredibly annoying and tiresome.
Where's the adventure this season? They barely show any monster battles anymore. The familiars just bring back high-level monsters and tell the protagonist to cook them.
Most things worked well in the first season, but repeating the exact same formula over and over in the second made it really boring. It was a decent anime to kill time or watch while eating, but I'm not sure if…

Words can't describe how much I LOVE THIS SERIES!
Every episode has been such a treat (literally!). I love how warm and fuzzy this anime is! Definitely hoping for a Season 3 pretty pleaseee!
Story: 9/10 (because the ending was a bit too abrupt for me)
Art: 10/10, loving the bright and vibrant visuals
OST - 9/10, super catchy, especially Salt and Pepper song haha
Characters: 10/10, love love all the characters, including the side characters! Glad they added Dora-chan to this season! I enjoyed watching how OP-ed his familiars were. It's a nice change from other isekais.
Overall, this is a must-watch!

This anime perfectly matched the previous season in terms of quality and storyline. Some may see this as a negative, but not me. The title itself is "Cooking in Another World." Therefore, we shouldn't expect much action or character development. Especially since Japanese works like to repeat the same plot. I think it was just right this way. It would have been very bad if they had ruined the story with forced action or character development. Or even if they had done it well, the cooking itself would have lost a lot of screen time.
My only problem is that during the cooking scenes, it would be nice if they shared recipes so we could see the whole cooking process.
Overall, this anime is far behind other cooking anime, such as "Food Wars" or my favorite, "Delicious in Dungeon." But even s…

Story
To be honest, I am a little disappointed. The first season was good, but what we got in this one is basically the same stuff all over again. No real story progression was made and there were no new objectives for the characters. We didn't even see a spark of potential romance. Don't get me wrong, it is not a bad show, but I definitely expected a little more than just a repeat of the first season's formula.
Visuals
The quality remains high with great-looking scenes and high-quality art. It is classic MAPPA through and through. The production stays very consistent, so if you enjoyed the look of the first season, you will find exactly the same level of polish here.
Conclusion
If you are looking for something more than what was offered in season one, you might walk away feeling disappo…

Mappa is here giving us a 2nd season of Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill. Or Campfire Isekai for short. If you watched S1, you should know what to expect here. Expect now 1 more familiar to join the group and 2 gods to join the fellow goddess.
One of the biggest praises I can give this series is that it stays true to itself. So many seasonal isekai fail at even achieving their premise. Now, with that being said, there isn't really any story to it outside of cooking. So if you are hoping for something more, you won't find it here. But if you are willing to accept that you find yourself a good vibes fantasy comedy. Think of it as Dungeon Meshi without the storytelling that series has.
I hope Mappa puts out an S3 because this series is the perfect type of anime to tune…

I loved how the anime changed some aspects from the light novel, which I had come to dislike. Like Mukoda is not such a whimp, and they trimmed out a bunch of unnecessary filler and characters that the light novel contains. Like pages full of descriptions about the mansions he is renting. In addition, I like the introduction of multiple different dishes which are not included in the novel; they have just been recycling the same ones over and over. The opening and closing songs for this season really sucked. The voice chosen for Dora was AWFUL too. Other than that, I really enjoyed the anime. It is always a feel-good series. I love the Elran character, so ridiculous that it makes you laugh. I enjoyed the take on the red dragon in the anime; the manga was ridiculous and immature. Whoever is…

This show is a rare case where I feel that the second season surpassed the first in quite a few metrics.
Maybe it's due to the product placement revenue the studio got, which is why you'll see a lot of Suntory in this season, or just a bit more effort went into it, but it's very clear that the art and animation quality for this season were a step-up from last.
Secondly, although the first season's story wasn't bad, this season just came across as more enjoyable and paced a bit better too.
Mukhoda is still a wimp, but again, not on the same level as he was in the first season. I do understand from source readers that he never becomes a typical isekai protag and will always be cowardly (which is a negative to some), but I do appreciate that he at least tried to step-up a couple of times…

I really enjoyed season 1 and so I was excited for season 2 but it didn't quite live up to season 1 for me. It was nice to revisit all my faves from last season and meet some new characters, but I think overall the lack of tension kind of made it less engaging. I get why there's a lack of tension, that's kind of part of the premise in itself, but it made things feel a bit flat. That said, it wasn't a bad season. I did like it and I will watch another season if we get one. Everything just feels so easy sometimes and I wish we could occasionally have some give and take with that even if it was a little bit.
If you enjoyed season 1 you'll like season 2 to some degree I'm sure. If you are looking for something with some decent stakes though, this is not it. This is just a chill show to vibe…

"Tasty treat"
Campfire cooking season 2 is double x version of season 1 , everything increased automatically like fun , adventure, new characters, sol moments , nature frames , fantasy towns etc . This is literally my cup of tea , I can watch atleast 20 season with same plot line . Hunt , cook and eat , the basis fundamental of life which this anime follows literally a dream life for loner like me .
Some things still same in season 2 like ost and sol setting. I liked how he can unlock many shops by upgrading his skill. The anime isn't just about food it even show like how raw meat is processed and materials except meat can be sold . I enjoyed a lot , such a fun journey of 12 weeks . Hope to see a another season soon .

Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill, the 2nd Offering — It's twice the food, with twice the fun, with twice the characters, all wrapped into a solid package of yum-yum heartful quality.
When it comes to stereotypical Isekai fantasy works, the seasonal single-cour treatment is usually more than enough to suffice many reasons why they deserve (or not) the sequel treatment to begin with, though that's more to say that it can come from either of the two most prominent places: its "to be continued" story/plot that has more to offer, or otherwise, the reception from Japan through its audience to determine if studios and producers are willing to make the buck again for a profit. In the case of novelist Ren Eguchi's Tondemo Skill de Isekai Hourou Meshi, a.k.a. Campfire Cooking…
