For never having heard about the manga before the anime, this anime certainly surprised me with how much I ended up liking it! Is it my favorite anime that came out in the Fall 2025 season? No, no, it's not; however, I certainly like it, and I'd probably rank it my third favorite that aired. It was cute! And it was nice to get a pretty unique shoujo! They tend to be quite rare after all!
In some ways, it's a rather typical shoujo fantasy romance anime, and in others, it's unique. It makes for a good blend of the genre, I'd say. It's a great anime that's just cute and relaxing, and it's nice that it has a dub, so it can be put on in the background. The concept is interesting, and the main characters are both cute, along with their relationship. It's a likable anime, and that's what makes i…

No offese to those who liked this show but its very plain in my opinion, it was just not interesting enough to get me a little bit hyped till the end. Even though the fl and mls interactions were kinda cringe it was also kind of cute but sadly their romantic development was waaay toooo fast, like yeah I get it people can click in short term but too much emotion and devotion in such a short period of time is just so unrealistic. It is defenitily not for people like me who likes slow burn or romance that takes a bit time to build.

This one was o-kay. It really hooked me at first, but it lost me pretty quickly because the pacing was just so very slow. It felt like we only got through the first few establishing chapters of a story and didn’t actually get into any meaningful plot. I think this is partially because this tries to riff on “Delicious in Dungeon” a bit (with a strong focus on cooking segments) and also because it does a lot more telling than showing (the episode where they are flying on the back of the dragon, I’m looking at you).
Overall, there was nothing offensive about this, but it felt pretty slow and derivative. You might enjoy it fine enough, but there are many better villainess anime out there.

Let us set the scene. We follow Melphiera, a young noblewoman who has an unusual and socially disastrous hobby of cooking and eating monster meat to combat famine. Unsurprisingly, high society has dubbed her the "Voracious Villainess." Then there is Aristide, a duke nicknamed the "Blood Man" for his ruthless efficiency in killing monsters. When these two social outcasts, searching for new experiences, meet, they quickly realize they're a match made in wonderfully strange culinary heaven.
I honestly do not even know where to begin. If you hear that premise and think, "What on earth have I gotten myself into?" trust me, you are not alone. It sounds utterly bizarre. But against all odds, this show settles into something surprisingly cozy. Rather than high-stakes political maneuvering or puls…

Akujiki Reijou to Kyouketsu Koushaku is an anime I tried really hard to like because of its feel-good atmosphere and cuteness, but I ultimately failed to do so because of the incredibly slow pace. After watching it, I can definitely see the appeal, but I don't feel like I got anything out of the experience.
The anime centers around Melphiera, who is shunned due to her research into using monster meat, which is considered toxic and taboo, as food, and her engagement to Duke Aristide. As many other reviews say, the story could have been condensed into four or six episodes, since the only major plot points are the characters meeting, deciding to marry, Melphiera moving, and her settling into her new home. While the world-building feels well-thought-out—with nations that have their own distin…

This is a very cute and sweet romance I love the way her fiance supports her dream even when her nation doesn't. The only thing that comes across the wrong way is that I'm pretty sure the events of this anime happen in like the span of a week. but if you look past that fact this anime is as cute as they come though it could make a little bit of sense, since the main girl has been neglected her whole life and finding the glimpse of attention from someone might make her attached to them. I wouldn’t know if I would call this love though But overall, whenever they’re together, it leaves you with a warm fuzzy, which is what I look for when I watch a romance, and if you’re into that type of thing, then I would recommend this, but it might not be the best option for someone who’s just getting int…

Cute anime and somewhat decent for its genre, but there’s not much going on? The main plot line from the beginning was Melphiera’s mom investigation, which was intriguing, but as soon as she meets the duke it goes down the drain completely.
Also, we didn’t get a sort of explanation as to why the stepmother knew Melphiera’s mother nor how she got engaged with the mc’s father in the first place.
Overall it’s an okay anime to watch and the main ship is good (although it stays from beginning to ending as a shallow relationship) but it could use a better story writing.

Are you looking for something deeply soothing and heartwarming that will help you forget your everyday worries? Then this anime is just for you. It's one of those feel-good, comforting anime that lets you relax.
The main characters fall into each other's arms in the very first episode and are perfect for each other. Practically everyone here is nice and friendly, and you'll hardly find a single negative character. That's the main and only reason why anyone should watch it.
Unfortunately, the rest is mostly negative. Although the story doesn't pose any obstacles for the main characters, its pace is desperately slow. That wouldn't matter so much if it were filled with the main reason why anyone would start watching it. And that is cooking monsters. The monsters aren't particularly inte…

Pass the Monster Meat, Milady! starts off with a surprisingly strong and refreshing introduction. The early episodes present an interesting premise with hints of depth, blending fantasy elements with light romance in a way that initially feels balanced and engaging. At first, the story gives the impression that it is building toward meaningful character growth and a larger narrative.
As the series continues, however, that early promise slowly disappears. The plot loses focus and becomes repetitive, leaning heavily on flirtatious and teasing moments instead of actual progression. What once felt subtle and charming eventually turns excessive, making the viewing experience feel more awkward than enjoyable.
Another major drawback is the lack of character development. The characters are intro…

This was enjoyable. Sometimes you need something soft and warm and this is a great option. A fantastic one to binge when you're not feeling well.
The world building is interesting and consistent enough to make it feel unique yet grounded. The plot is relatively straightforward with little to no hiccups since every character is more or less nice.
The main criticism I have is that the ending was a bit abrupt so I'm hoping there's another season. Although it's not a deal breaker. I started to think of it more as a slice of life in the later half of the season.

FINALLY - an anime that balances romcom, story, and magic/action without going overthetop. If you're a fan of Yona, SAO, even a touch of Snow White w/ Red Hair, this is for you.
What I appreciated most was this wasn't an over-dramatization of a one-sided love. The season could easily be an extended intro, but most productions these days seem to have this "will it work" mentality before we get the whole story. I'm excited to read the Light Novel since THESE really show the series' potential - 86 being the most ICONIC example of this in the last decade.
Could have done with a bit more action, but hopefully this is the build-up to season 2??

I just finished Monster Meat Milady and I’ve gotta say: it’s the definition of a comfy watch.
Let’s be real, the animation and character designs are pretty mid—nothing that’s gonna blow your mind or win any awards. But honestly? It doesn't need to be flashy. The whole experience of following the story was super chill and relaxing. It’s one of those shows you put on after a long day just to decompress.
The highlight for me:
The ED (Ending Theme) is an absolute banger. I legitimately fell in love with the song; I never skipped it. It just fits the mood of the show so well.
Verdict: It’s a basic anime, but a good one if you’re looking for something low-stakes to pass the time.

Dungeon Meshi, shoujo edition.
The premise is simple. Girl is Laios from Dungeon Meshi, aka monsters yummy me want eat! She meets a boy, who is your typical shoujo prince, custom made to love the exact thing she's good at.
And.... actually that's it. They just love bomb each other as he takes her home and introduces her as his fiancée.
There is nothing wrong with the show. It's a pure shoujo that centers around the couple being lovey dovey.
It does fail on two accounts however.
1. The monster designs are boring and generic. They are purposely made to look like the bigger and uglier version of normal animals. Understandable for a cutesy show but still very boring and doesn't sell the fact that eating them is looked down upon when they don't really look like monsters.
2. Cooking p…

Hard to see good fantasy romance these days , hopefully 'pass me monster meat my lady" lived upto it's premise and theme . It literally crossed my expectations. The sub themes like gourmet is well done but unfortunately it's content is less . The fantasy world that this anime describe is pretty harsh , forests crawling with monster which can go mad due to excessive magical energy.
I liked the idea of introducing a lot variety of monster. No use of cgi on monster which is a + point for me , fantastic animation, background, landscape, ost etc but op and ed are kinda decent. A lot of side characters are likable even we got some great waifus in anime . Overall i enjoyed the show , affection and feeling of protection that mc show towards his girl is admirable .
I won't mind seeing a another…

Pass the Monster Meat, Milady!
The anime is about a girl who loves to eat " Monster meat " while everyone thinks ts taboo and poisonous her father wanted for her to get married but her nickname and her actions continuing to eat monster meat made no one to marry her, tahts when she meets her prince with a sharp sword slaying a monster who was gonna attack on her , both of em falls in love for eachother in the very first episode and which lead for em to get engaged and their story begins .
The anime has beautiful colours and a warm vibe about it even tho the story moves fast as both the male and female MC get closer to each other by ep 6-7 the anime is kinda slow after that like they showed em travelling for 2 episodes in air just talking and 5 minutes of landing part for food which is kin…

nothing burger anime… what was the point? at first, i thought the plot was intriguing since it kinda reminded me of a mix between villainess meets dungeon meshi, but then it kept going nowhere. like why were we flying for fo long? i could not tell you any expanded themes or interesting subplots. i was kinda disappointed and somehow pushed to the end instead of dropping it.
i would have liked the romance aspect if it had been expanded upon a little bit more. and the magic and politics could have been so cool… ughhh
i’ve seen people say this easily could have been condensed to about 4-6 episodes and i can’t help but agree. definitely, one of the least interesting shows i have sat through. like i said - nothing burger.

Such potential! But it was wasted on a painfully slow pacing....
It's possible to resume the entire anime in less than 40 words: Noble girl that eats monster meat is saved and proposed to by a Duke - she accepts it and he takes her to his home to introduce her to his people as his fiancée. End of story.
Basically it's 12 episodes that could have fit into 4 episodes. To actually be able to be this slow paced, the anime showed us a ton of background information on each character, and spent waaay too much time on trivial scenes.
About the overall qualities of the anime: The animation is great, the characters are great, and it has proper character development. There's a balanced amount of supporting characters and plenty of information about the world and monsters that inhabit it.
I don't…

This anime was very enjoyable. I wish it had been a little stronger though. The characters were interesting and I loved all the monsters and the premise. The romance was cute too, but sometimes things fell a little flat for me and it felt like the drama could have been up a notch a bit which would have fixed some of the monotonous feeling at times. However, despite its flaws, I ended up invested in the characters and the story to the point I would definitely watch a season two.
If you like monsters and weird girls, you'll probably enjoy this anime. If you want a story that feels like the stakes don't drift away a little half way through, then you might get a little bored.

Didn’t expect a show to fill the “Betrothed to My Sister’s Ex” sized hole in my heart so soon but this did just that! Pass the monster meat milady has a lot of the same vibes of that seasonal and is a surprisingly thoughtfully written story. Fully expected the monster eating gimmick to get repetitive, but it actually stayed very fresh because the story focuses on changing societal perceptions surrounding monster meat to help alleviate hunger in poorer regions of the country. This is actually pretty realistic and scientists in the real world have been working on using insects for example as a sustainable food source for years. I’ve actually known people working on this very topic so I found the show’s story surprisingly relevant. Combine that with Aristide and Melphiera’s sweet romance, Mel…
