Let This Grieving Soul Retire

Let This Grieving Soul Retire

Introduction

As dungeon-like treasure vaults started appearing throughout the land, more and more people began signing up as treasure hunters—risking their lives to obtain the vast riches and ancient relics inside. In the imperial capital of Zebrudia, the top hunter party is the Grieving Souls—a group of six childhood friends led by Krai Andrey, who is thought to be the strongest of them due to having a reputed wide array of skills. However, Krai actually has no special talent. His accomplishments are actually the result of his friends being overpowered. Krai has repeatedly attempted to leave the party out of fear his lack of aptitudes would one day cause his companions' downfall. Nevertheless, everyone around Krai thinks differently, making him feel obligated to remain the group's leader. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

Ahahahahahah It's truly a ridiculously funny one this is. The whole story started out dull but then it became ridiculously funny. Every character has their charm and I don't mean only physically. Every bit of it is up to interpretation. We are given most of the story but everyone else is dumb as a rock. Fully loyal friendship, misinformation and misunderstanding used as a weapon is truly terrifying. I wouldn't dare live in this world. Give me a break will you? How many rings am I supposed to wear just to survive? Might as well take a backpack. LET ME SUMIT THE REVIEW ALREADY!!

Hmm.. still a good anime having good story line about the Krai done things like making decisions randomly and being ordinary (just using relics in emergency) taking out the situation, not just like regular hero in other anime world. Still Thousand tricks has performed thousand trails but it really lead thousand parodies. Still waiting to see whole grievers together, but only one question remain there how Krai defeated golem while investigation of Akashic tower really he use relic there still a mystery for me during ep 9 if anyone solve this I would be really happy. I really recommend it for comedy anime watching user.

Story: 1/10 It has a very generic fantasy setting and the plot naturally suffers from being full of those tropes. The writing is bland and only gets worse. Characters: 5/10 I was actually surprised by how charming and even unique some of the characters are, but they all lack real development. Krai is particularly hilarious. Animation: 4/10 It's not good. The budget didn't go into the animation at all. Music: 5/10 Decent OP and that's it. Enjoyment: 7/10 Despite everything, I still enjoyed this show. Hope to see more of Lucia. Overall: 4/10 I'll watch the next part, BUT if you're looking for a mind-blowing anime, stay away from this one.

In a genre full of OP main characters that battle lv 1s it's not a bad idea to reverse the trope. Have the weakest character possible be the leader and surround him with OPs in world where even a magical puppy could cuddle him to death, literally. If you've heard about the show "Eminence in Shadow" then this is the kind of character that MC is aspiring to be. The mysterious guy manipulating events behind the scenes. Who is operating on a level far beyond the comprehension of mere pawns. MWHAHAHAHAHAHA! Well, that's the image anyway. The whole joke of the show is that it's all a bluff and the MC either lucks into these situations or the characters twist his words around to fit the narrative. Premise is 10/10 Execution though is more like a 6/10. Watching someone with zero motivati…

This is beyond masterpiece xD Finally We got another anime of this kind after Eminence in shadow Usually in other anime mc pretend to be weak when they are actually strong. But here my guy is weak as fk but he has to pretend to be stronger lol .. and beo has some crazy luck it's like the gods them selv's are working to make this guy look good .. 🤣🤣 He is not your typical mc. Bro is a unique piece .. no the entire anime is unique every part of it 🤣 The character of Krai was made for only two types of people either hate him or just love him because how funny his monologue and circumstances are. There opening style is quite different and unique .. i like it. What man i like the show very much the comedic misunderstanding is so funny u won't stop laughing when you remember a scene or tw…

I disliked the main character, gave it a watch cause I found the premise interesting but it really fell short. They try to characterize Krai as a whimsical, carefree, mysterious guy, but he comes across more as lazy and a loser in my opinion - he doesn't have anything redeeming, but it feels like all the other characters reach up around and into their azz to justify his behaviour due to his status. I found it irritating that he keeps asking "WHY ARE U ASKING ME?" when other characters look to him for help when he is the clan master... bruh. I can handle a lot of things, like I'm used to cliches and I'm used to fanservice or bland female characters that love the MC just for the sake of loving him, but the MC really sucks the most in this trash action anime. The second character I disliked…

You have all seen anime where the main character is insanely OP for no reason, but you've never really cared why only they get to be so powerful. It's just a feel good story, no need to think too much into it. This anime is pretty much the same concept, but instead of being insanely OP the mc is insanely lucky. It's a kinda hard to accept it at first if you come from watching OP mc, because this one is so weak, weaker than a child, but that does set up it up for some hilarious situations, when everything just works out for him. Of course there are still some questions left unanswered as to why his friends, who are close to him, think of him so highly, but this is just the first season so it's fine. Overall it's a fun watch if you're open minded. Edit: Actually if you're coming from watc…

This anime is basically the definition of “How the hell did this even get animated?” Our MC, Krai Andrey, is not a genius leader, not a secret powerhouse, not even an underdog with hidden potential. Nah bro, he’s literally a walking NPC with god-tier plot armor. Zero skills, zero awareness, zero braincells. The only reason he’s “leader” is because everyone around him is written to be even dumber than he is like the whole cast took an oath to make him look smart. Liz, the heroine, clings to him like superglue. Their “relationship” is… what, exactly? Girlfriend? FWB? Emotional support animal? Honestly she feels more like a dangerous pet that just happens to sleep in his bed. There’s no depth, no humanity, just cliché fanfic energy. Then we’ve got Tino Shade, Instead of character developm…

The entire premise of the story is that the mc is weak. The weakest one even. There is absolutely no power leveling, everyone stays at the same level throughout and there's just the most basic and predictable plot armor surrounding the mc. The plot is- "Oh powerful enemy! I must defeat it before the mc does to prove I'm strong" and then the mc has to step in, winning with absolute pure luck. The plot never changes, characters are introduced as always, there's very short lived fight scenes, and the mc just does random stuff to stay out of trouble, which always turns out to be an amazing strategic "plan" and everyone praises him for it. It just felt like a form of how King is seen in OPM, but if the entire anime revolved around that, and there's a point where the same premise being used ov…

1) Writing: It's rare for any piece of media to so excellently portray a deceptive, intelligent and yet humble mastermind to this degree. I've read multiple reviews that seem convinced Guild Master Krai Andrey truly is a frail, incompetent fool that only achieved his current position through luck and help from his 'stronger' and more 'talented' childhood friends. I would consider this outlook an excellent demonstration of Krai's machiavellian and calculating nature; that he's managed to delude even these naive viewers with his many layers of measured schemes reminiscent of Gaius Julius Caesar himself. Personally, I'd suggest those people look past Krai's appearance and seemingly timid or feeble impression and recognise that each and every move he makes is deliberate, surgical and potent.…

In short I enjoyed 90% of this show, it's fun and has some solid comedy, and some admittedly cringeworthy characters. I'm mainly here to warn people that the lead in this, Kray, is frankly aweful. He doesn't care, is clueless and lazy. He doesn't want to me in this anime, and after a while that gets really annoying. What doesn't help is that the running joke, that his a mysterious all-seeing god hunter, doesn't break for a minute. So rather than a joke it's just this rather ludicrous state of affairs. So to be clear, don't want it expecting anything other than to hate him. His actual childhood friends though are fun, they're clearly insanely talented and as such can't really connect with anyone else but they're fun, and importantly seem like they're having fun. Your enjoyment with this…

I recommend this anime because I think it has some comedy that is quite funny to watch, so it won't make you bored. Straight to the point, this anime brings the concept of misunderstandings from subordinates as well as the people around them, This kind of thing is actually not something new, but it depends on the delivery, if the anime is delivered badly, then I'm sure you will feel disgusted seeing this misunderstanding. Like the anime I've watched before. For a great opening and ending song. The voice acting and soundtrack, graphics, are also good, but for the character designs there are some that seem less pleasing to the eye, especially for the main character. The downside for me is that there is no further information on why the MC is considered strong! Does he only rely on the fa…

TL;DR: "So, what does this mean? It means the show decided to put off literally every single group of people who might be interested in watching it. If you like the MC being OP, you'll just be frustrated by Krai's incompetence. If you dislike the MC being OP, you'll be frustrated by how competent the side-characters are. And so on. In addition, whichever group you belong to, humans are naturally put off by undeserving people accomplishing things in the world - and that's Krai in a nutshell. He does NOT have the charisma and he's far too big of an asshole by the end to make a watcher forget this instinct. I'm not even talking about the insane luck, but moreso about the relics (which he has to rely on to do anything). He either buys these relics or is gifted them by his OP friends, so they…

This show is one of the rare comic fantasy gems (bordering on parody but not a parody). Every episode will give you atleast one outburst of loud laughter, if you understand it. Animation - 8/10 It is good. Fights and magic scenes are enjoyable. But it is not the best. Screenplay - 10/10 This is what makes it so great. The comic timing and subplots/plots and the thoughts of people are so accurate and amazing that it makes this whole anime shine bright. Songs - 9/10 The opening narrator, precap of next episode and ending tracks are quirky and fun. The story starts after a Party of OP adventurers (and their leader) became the strongest in land. Their party became clan and the leader became clan leader. But he has his own quirks and secrets. Overall - 9/10

5.5/10 - Watchable for the few fun parts, fairly appealing characters, and the OP theme. But imo, nothing to lose missing out on this, and not much to gain for doing so. (Don't feel like making a format for this.) As fairly funny as it has been, and as fairly appealing the characters maybe, this entire show just felt like it was about nothing at all. None of the story stuff were really interesting. And when it comes to Krai's 'want-to-retire' situation, they didn't really do a good job with that neither. Krai went from being someone who couldn't careless and be bothered about anything but always ends up in very fortunate lucky situations anyway, to just another harem dude who knows what he got and takes advantage of it. The other characters lost any potential to be interesting as they b…

A deceivingly interesting show blessed with an exceptional amount of effort and love by its studio I would not blame anyone who glanced at Nageki no Bourei wa Intai Shitai's description and wrote it off as bog-standard seasonal slop; however, that assumption couldn't be any farther from the truth. The premise is simple and generic enough: the setting focuses on a guild formed by 6 childhood friends who dreamed of being the strongest treasure hunters, and which have since made their dreams come true. 5 of them are truly superhuman prodigies who stand at the peak of humanity's potential... while the remaining one, the show's MC, is actually extraordinarily weak in every regard. However, due to extreme, non-stop coincidences and misunderstandings, everyone can't help but believe he is some g…

When your only power is plot armor and it has carried you to a position where one wrong step can easily result in your demise, does it make sense to wish for an early retirement. In Let This Grieving Soul Retire do we follow Krai, the guild master of the strongest guild and leader of the strongest adventurer group in the country. The only problem is that he is the only one in the party without any powers, a thing of course no one believes, which gives people a completely different idea of what he is actually capable of. The plot in the show is very much driven by Krai trying to run both the guild and his adventurer party in a way that keeps him out of trouble. But this is easier said than done, since everyone often takes his word either as a lead to a greater truth or maybe a bit too lite…

1) Story Concept: The anime follows Krai/Kurai, a hunter in a world where hunters are typically strong adventurers. Unlike the ongoing trend of overpowered protagonists, Krai is a total weakling who relies solely on his luck (or misfortune). His constant misunderstandings and random events lead others to perceive him as the strongest and smartest hunter, creating a unique and comedic narrative. 2) Adaptation Quality: Studio Zero-G, though not known for many big titles, has done a great job with this adaptation. While not every detail from the manga and light novel could be incorporated, the anime effectively captures the story's essence and humor. 3) Voice Acting: The voice actors delivered exceptional performances, bringing the characters to life and enhancing both the comedic and emoti…

i hate it so much ! in most of these anime when the characters is bad behind he has special skill but here he has nothing ! and everyone praise him ? they never question it and ask to see a real fight without his relics ? And for most part, i was like "why don't you act like a relics give you a curse that make you level 1 and got destroyed afterward and you ask your teammates to train you ?" but no, druing the whole anime, he doesn't even try to improve in any part and act like he's the best and like he control everything and let everyone work for him.. It just anger me so much ! They could have done better.. i've almost watched everything, thinking "maybe something good happens, maybe he will realise that he need to work out ?" BUT NO ! During the whole anime, he doesn't do anything ! A…

Let This Grieving Soul Retire — Man, haven't I ROFLed so much just for insignificant things that need not be escalated to a degree, but I'm glad that this show did to give its not-so-innovative take to a whole new level of insanity. Maybe it's high time that we should admit that anime should be unadulterated fun once again? It's too often nowadays that the AniManga industry is selling too much of the seriousness, with series that invoke fun that's in-your-face isn't compensating much against the windfall of the ratio between it and the fun that you get for shows like Fall 2022's Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute! a.k.a The Eminence in Shadow, providing nonsense in the face of comedy. This is novelist Tsukikage's Nageki no Bourei wa Intai shitai a.k.a Let This Grieving Soul Retire, a ser…
