Dark Moon: The Blood Altar

Dark Moon: The Blood Altar

Introduction

Ever since she was a young girl, Sooha was told to hide her superhuman abilities to avoid getting mistaken for a vampire. Having been accused of being one and blamed for her childhood friend's death, Sooha enrolls in Decelis Academy—a night school where supernatural beings, such as vampires and werewolves, allegedly cannot enter. At the academy, Sooha soon encounters Heli, a student who offers friendship despite discovering her secret. Heli introduces Sooha to his close friends—Jaan, Jino, Shion, Jakah, Noa, and Solon—who all have different powers as well. But their connection seems to run deeper than just that; they are curiously drawn to her, feeling as if they would do anything she wishes. In light of a recent murder that is said to be the work of a vampire, Heli and his friends' unsettling history slowly unravels. While the seven boys try to shield Sooha from the world of the supernatural, she inevitably gets entangled in the centuries-old rivalry between vampires and werewolves. As tensions intensify, Sooha realizes that she may be closer than ever to the creatures she hates the most. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

Okay first of all let me be honest, only watch this if you have read the manwha or your a big fan or your k-pop or husbando lover. BCS if you don't & just want to watch than your gonna have this problems. Well even manwha readers could have problems but regardless hear me out. Just like any fan i went to watch, in the beginning it was fine. The animation was top notch even to the end. But i had few problems, the first one might seem little idiotic which i agree too but not the others. First problem is lack of girls. I know it's a reverse harem but still there should be some female side characters you know. But no there was girls but our soha we never Saw her making. There's literally no main female side characters. The only one we saw are either in past 9r just grandma. Still okay i get…

If your into pretty vampire, magic and creativity, this is made for you ! And if you like romance, well the romance you will love it too. Honestly this was very good. The story were pretty original for vampire, not like ground breaking but still. The protagonist and her strong personality was pleasure to follow, and all the boy were very sympathic to follow, even the more secondary one (like werewolf). It was not ground breaking, let's not lie, i have since more innovative but frankly, if you love vampire and story who aren't full of dark angst you will love it. i don't know who is saying that it reminds them of Diabolik Lovers, i personnally think that you should not get into this anime expecting DL, it's way more light and joyful !! The relationship are pretty healthy, very different…

I don't get why everyone hates this so much. I swear if I had watched it at 13 I would have loved it to pieces, and even now, much later, it feels like a guilty pleasure I wanted to drop but couldn't. There's this one (initially annoying but sensible enough) young girl and 12 ( actually more like 15) hot guys all simping for her. It sounds weird but it's actually a really chill setting, all the guys are extremely gentlemanly and HANDSOME as hell. There's like, not a single frame where each guy doesn't look hot, not a derpy face ever. I haven't seen such artistic consistency even in top production otome game series, it's crazy. Animation is quite good both in normal and action scenes and doesn't feel cheap, although I did shed a tear for the werewolves design because god they're ugly ahh…

I’ll start off by saying that I watched the ENTIRETY of this anime; just so I can hate on it more properly. I’m used to watching downright bad vampire shojo anime but damn is this one horrible. First off, all the characters are just plain boring. Some designs look cool on paper but their personalities are all as dry and stiff as cardboard. Honestly, if each character didn’t have a face, I wouldn’t be able to differentiate which character is which. They all act the same and there are no personality traits that stand out for any of them. If their personality had a taste it wouldn’t even be water, it’d be air. I can’t even remember a single character name after 12 episodes of watching, it’s how unremarkable the characters are. Second, about the English dub voice acting; this might be their…

I was initially drawn to this series by its cover design, which sparked my curiosity. The opening song was pleasant, and the ending stood out in particular (I especially appreciated the *cute* animation quality there). However, the narrative itself felt somewhat lacking. While the first episodes offered a decent introduction, the story quickly became predictable. Given that the series is based on a K-pop group, the inclusion of a harem-style dynamic is understandable. Nevertheless, the execution suffered from an overabundance of even supporting characters (many of the supporting cast felt underdeveloped and, at times, unnecessary to the progression of the plot). Interestingly, the antagonist’s storyline appeared way more compelling and detailed(?), which created an unusual imbalance in…

Meter your expectations for this anime. It's Twilight and Vampire Knight mashed up, but Dark Moon is inferior to both. Vampire media is oversaturated, and anime is no exception. Vampires will always hold a special place in my heart, but I wouldn't rewatch this slop if I was paid to do it. Halfway through, there is little to no explanation of the supernatural lore. The story is mostly fluff and very little plot. Then, all of a sudden there's an actual story beyond the slice of life school dynamic, but it's so weak it's pitiful. Reverse harems are only interesting when it isn't immediately obvious who the MC will choose. I can't fault Dark Moon too much for this, as most reverse harems aren't executed well in this regard. There are also too many characters. While they all have distinct, s…

As an Engene, this was enjoyable. As an anime watcher, this was a bit terrible. For me, it perfectly rode the line of hate-watching, where it was enjoyable enough to keep me coming back for more, but ridiculous enough that it sort of made me mad with every episode. The pacing was the most difficult point for me. The first 6 or so episodes are great, albeit a bit slow. The final episodes load so much plot and exposition I couldn't remember it all. Overall, after reading the webtoon to see what I missed, this absolutely would have been better served with a 24-episode season or two seasons, even. It was light-hearted, exceptionally low-stakes at times (sometimes too low!) but I still enjoyed each episode for the silliness of it all.

I ultimately liked this anime but it was heavily carried by the male characters good looks. The art style is very nice and the storyline is fine however the ending was a bit unsatisfying. The plot was a little slow, good in theory but I wish it was a movie or more detailed in the plotline and character arcs. Despite being super strong and tough, the female lead does nothing to defend herself even though she totally could, which feels like a lost opportunity. Overall i enjoyed the anime but it was mostly based on vibes and fanfare and i am a simple minded viewer.
