this shi is peak slop gng, when u watch lots of slop that didnt get u invested, this one is different!
Let’s be real, this anime actually has a lot of great things going on. What’s the number one rule when watching anime? Yup, enjoyability. And this show absolutely nails it with great, consistent direction. The animation is smooth as butter, and the harem girls actually have personality, which brings so much life to the screen. While generic slop usually treats side characters like absolute garbage, this show hits different. It's literally a wet dream adapted with total seriousness. You’ll probably laugh at the plot and the characters' antics, but honestly, if you just shut your brain down, you’re gonna have a blast. This is top-tier slop precious and absolutely amazing

Average, it's only redeeming qualities are the banger intro, a few VA's, a few Side characters, occasionally the humor, but that's about it.
It's like a bad disgusting cake with tasty sprinkels.
The concept of a Gacha pull ability is pretty fucking hilarious though, stupid, but funny. Sadly, the execution is terrible.
t'd honestly be a lot better if they stuck with the seemingly shitty or random abilities and then the character had to be creative or work hard to make good use of a bad ability. Which they sadly didn't do either with "Fruitmaster" show.
Was hopeful after the first episode, but the immediate time skip, and complete lack of writing and development were a real turn off.
I could let the being obsessed with revenge instead of survival, in the first episode slide (arifureta at le…

I honestly didn’t expect to finish this in one sitting, but I completely lost track of time. From the very first episode, it pulls you in with strong momentum and never really slows down. Every episode leaves you wanting to click “next,” and before you know it, the season is over. It’s one of those anime that’s dangerously binge-worthy 😂🔥
What I loved most is the main character’s presence. He gives off that powerful, commanding vibe similar to other overpowered protagonists in the genre—but the story doesn’t feel lazy about it. There’s growth, intention, and clear development behind the strength. It doesn’t feel like power just for the sake of power. That balance makes everything more satisfying to watch.
The supporting cast is surprisingly engaging too. The characters aren’t just ther…

Heard this title from Trash taste and that's how i landed in here.
For starters, the beginning was really bad/bland/boring whatever you call it. Didn't entertain me at all, because setting up the revenge aspect of this story was so quick. It didn't even gave time for us to alteast develop some form of attachment to the villains for us to feel betrayed because everything happened in the span of one episode. So everytime mc gets to have revenge to his past party members, i don't feel anything at all. "ohh... yey... finally got his revenge..." boring!.
What motivated me to keep going was the world. Since they've setup a lot of species in the show, there was a lot to explore, so that made me curios on how they would flow the story.
2nd i guess what shocked coming from JC staff, was the anim…

If you're partial to isekai revenge tales where the underdog flips the script with god-tier hacks, it scratches that itch handily. But fair warning: it dives headlong into tropes that might make you reach for the fast-forward button.
The MC, Light, is your typical overlooked adventurer in a world of guilds, dungeons, and magic crystals, lumbered with a party of unreliable sorts. The betrayal hits hard, brought to life with moody dungeon visuals and raw voice work that sells the gut-wrench. From there, a divine gift introduces the "Mugen Gacha" system, an infinite summon mechanic that's equal parts game parody and power fantasy. The pulls are a visual treat, with spinning interfaces and flashy arrivals that nod to mobile gacha addictions.
Early episodes ramp up the squad-building and init…

Huge seeds were sown, but what grew were weeds and chaff.
This has to be satire or something.
There are only 2 conclusions after watching the debut fantasy shows from this season.
Either we’re entering a phase of the worst Japanese writers ever, or they’re intentionally trolling us and I didn’t get the joke.
I don’t know how they managed to fumble this set-up. A non-stop sequence of bait and switch tactics. In 12 episodes they’ve adapted 1-49 chapters of the manga. From skimming through the manga they did alright job in adaptation. The issues in the writing and general pacing persist in the manga, though I don’t know about the Light Novel.
You’ll hear from others that this show is shamelessly copying from it’s successful predecessors. You shouldn’t complain about copying, If something…

On paper, Level 9999: Backstabbed at Backwater Dungeon is a dream project for fans of "dark" Isekai and revenge narratives. It draws its foundation from Overlord (the scale of power and the sense of an unstoppable force) and its structural DNA from Redo of Healer (the visceral betrayal and the subsequent quest for retribution). As a fan of both, particularly Overlord, the setup is incredibly promising. However, the execution leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
Light’s Moral Limbo:
The primary failure of the series lies in its protagonist, 'Light'. He isn't a "bad" character because he’s generic or overpowered; he’s bad because he is fundamentally inconsistent. He exists in a frustrating middle ground between the protagonists of Overload and Redo of Healer:
1. Ainz isn't necessarily malicious;…

Before you read the rest of this review, I would like simply to tell you: don't watch this show. I assume you knew you were getting into male power fantasy slop when you chose to read into this anime, but this is truly the worst one I've ever seen. Persistent? The rest of my review will contain my completely honest opinion, but my number one goal is still to urge you not to watch it.
Story: 2 (Horrible)/10
The story is my absolute least favourite part of this show. What should be obvious already is that it is surface level, completely and absolutely unoriginal, poorly-written and simply put, slop. This show falls into the category of male power fantasy, and is, as usual, headlined by a black-haired, overpowered MC and his harem. It is also a revenge plot. That, that is my least favourite…

Good adaptation, but the revenge storyline against the party that betrayed him is really too long. It's a successful adaptation, but it's just lacking in 12 episodes. Why only 12 episodes? That's not enough. I wish it could have been 24 episodes or a second season would have been announced.
Visual+ animation 9/10
Art Style 8/10
MC Nature and behavior 6/10
Storyline 7/10
Humans are made the weakest of all races and become slaves in the unlimited gacha world, it is indeed quite interesting and also needs to be exposed the dwarf kingdom, onii, and so on.
Hopefully season 2 will be announced soon
Maybe this is different from the Tate no yuusha or Redo of Healer series, maybe I didn't read the manga/LN.

This was one very enjoyable power fantasy show. And I see it is dividing the community a lot, which is understandable after watching the show. So why did 'Wild Last Boos' which is also power fantasy from this anime season working well and this is not? I will explain details in this review.
Animation and sound: they are done very well. Despite animation being industry standard they really put effort in battle animation. Every large engagement in this show was a joy to watch, especially in the last 3 episodes. And they didn't shy away from disturbing scenes, well done for not censoring those. Music is also standard but it is noticeable, especially during the dramatic moments.
Overall: animation and music may be standard but effort is noticeable and much appreciated. Good job in this depart…

"Utterly amazing in a weird way "
Don't let long name and ratings fool you , it's a great show with a lot of potential for upcoming seasons which I expect to be be delivered soon . Only ep 2 felt a little absurd maybe because of some unexplained moments, later on i understood details like power system etc .
If you are a revange type of plot fan then, it's definitely for you . Every moment has a build up not just some random rushed things which we usually see in these kind of shows e.g shield hero . Mc taking his time for sweet revenge along with his companions. I think talking more about show might spoil the moment of suprise for viewers so, ending review here .
I enjoyed a lot and I bet you gonna enjoy too . Looking for a promising season 2.

Please, just don't watch this, I'm giving you my recommendation straight up due to how absurdly horrible this series is.
Let me first begin with the plot, wow another story where the MC is really weak, gets betrayed but then, oh guess what, turns out he's basically God and is unbeatable. The amount of times I've seen this plot used up has got to be more than a thousand times at least, like can't Japanese authors come up with anything unique anymore?
I'll go deeper into the show, from episode 1 it actually had a bit of potential but immediately to episode 2 there's a timeskip, he becomes insanely overpowered with a harem, all of his subjects are attractive, revealing clothes, female characters besides like 2 males, insane amounts of fan service and just cringey boring, overused cliches a…

"My Gift Lvl 9999 Unlimited Gacha: Backstabbed in a Backwater Dungeon, I'm Out for Revenge!"
"Revenge"
"Re-Ven-Ge".. sorry, just trying to figure out the meaning of this word, kinda like the author of this fucking manga/anime.
Such a great revenge story. My favorite part was the MC that refused to change his shota form for asinine reasons (fetish), so he could play dress-up and do pointless theatrics to kill like.. two people out of 10 that betrayed him in the first episode.
THIS, is what ChatGPT will replace. Nothing of value will be lost when garbage manga writers who end up with their works as anime, will go out of business because a fucking AI took over writing same level of gobshite these people charge money for.
First things first, art is alright, music and audio is shit (as…

Don’t let this anime’s absurdly long title scare you away. When I first read it, I assumed it would be yet another generic, forgettable fantasy anime I’ve already seen a hundred times. I couldn’t have been more wrong.
This series is a hidden gem. I nearly skipped it because of its 6.8 rating, and honestly, if you understand how MyAnimeList scores work, it deserves closer to a 7.6–7.8. The overwhelming number of “not recommended” reviews made me hesitate even more, but I’m grateful I checked the similar anime section. Seeing Overlord and Redo of Healer both 9/10 anime for me (as I love violent and cruel anime) convinced me to give it a chance.
This anime sits just one tier below Overlord in my book. The story follows a protagonist seeking revenge after being betrayed by a so-called “hero…

It is a super basic show. Some fun but short fight scenes. No character development. MC just wants revenge
the most notable and somewhat enjoyable part of this show were a few fight scenes near the end. The actual revenge scenes are not only drawn out but so unsatisfying and disappointing.
The revenge and motivation is only for the MC but the side characters/summons are so empty and undeveloped - their only goal is to fulfill the wishes of the MC who has no motivation other than "getting revenge". If you contrast this to Redo of Healer or any other popular revenge show, you realize this series comes short and leaves a lot to desire.

Is it this a fun power fantasy? Sure.
Is there some interesting world building? Totally.
Are there compelling characters? No.
When it comes down to it this series tries it's best to moralize on "Well the humans are treated like shit so it's okay" but this is just a power revenge fantasy. If you want some 6/10 fights or some 6/10 character designs that you can just turn your brain off and enjoy then there are worse things to watch. But also know, the first few episodes feel like a disconnected mess as the plot takes its time to get started.

While the concept and setting of this series is your average run-of-the-mill type fantasy, I feel this one in particular was gone about a little bit differently. And to make it clear, they do NOT shy away from gore & truly commit to the plot (it's hella satisfying).
Animation for this was quite solid all around. Facial expressions were such a treat to be honest. I have no complaints on this front, in this department it was solid.
Plot itself seems generic, and while it isn't the most out of this world type of story, somehow it was quite interesting and entertaining. I always hope revenge stories actually follow through, and this one wonderfully did! (do hope we get another season tho for the rest). They don't shy away from displaying anything, and show it how it is. Quite direct, and a…

The lore of this anime is genuinely interesting, though the adaptation has only scratched the surface so far. The fight scenes are decent and well-executed, and while it may not be the strongest anime of the season, it remained engaging enough to keep me eagerly waiting for each new episode.
It definitely needs a 2nd season. I am curious about who could be the potential main individual(s) aside from the MC behind the scenes who assembled the fake party in the first place to confirm the existence of 'Maestro'. And I really want to see how the revenge plots unfold in other kingdoms. Considering the animation quality, good op and ed songs.
Overall, it definitely doesn't deserve any lower than 7 but since it got me hooked till the end having other top anime in my winter watchlist I give it a…

Story
The level of disappointment this anime caused is immeasurable because the core concept actually had potential. A world where humans are a weak race, the betrayal plot, and especially the unveiling mysteries like the "Maestro" could have been great. Instead, the execution feels wasted. We have Level 9999 characters who somehow struggle to beat Level 500 enemies, paired with a lot of childish behavior and barely any actual "gacha" mechanics. The pacing is also a major issue. The MC is weak in the first episode, but by the very next episode, he is already a Level 9999 boss with a thousand waifus. There is no real sense of progression or struggle. It’s a very shallow show that failed to do justice to its own interesting world-building.

Serving the cold dish or revenge is easy when you've become a level 9999 and you got friends who are at least level 7777.
This is a revenge anime that is not as cringe as Redo of Healer, but the main character and his new friends still torture his former party members who betrayed him off screen. At least it is not gratuitous, because the MC actually has a plan for revenge that will ensure his success. There's some Art of War in it, like knowing your enemy, and hiding your offensive capabilities until you are ready to strike. Like needing the economy of a country to war with other countries. Using politics and statecraft to turn nations against each other.
There are questionable storytelling decisions like keeping the main character an eternal shota, or the harem at his disposal which MC…
