Introduction
Lady Carolina, the overlooked daughter of a powerful duke, has always believed herself to be the black sheep amid her illustrious kin. Her father is the distinguished prime minister; her elder sister, a prodigious mage destined to become their nation's next Saint. In comparison, Carolina resigns herself to a quiet existence in their shadows until a sudden and unexpected royal decree alters her destiny, thrusting her into a political marriage with the formidable "Bloodthirsty Prince" of the neighboring Empire of Malcosias. Determined to prove her worth, Carolina takes a bold step into a world fraught with both political and mortal peril. As royal obligations intertwine with hints of true love and the stirrings of her own latent power, Carolina moves ever closer to understanding what it truly means to be exceptional.

A 2026 anime based on the light novel written by Almond, this 12-episode adaptation was animated by Magic Bus and Picante Circus, distributed by Crunchyroll, and falls under the fantasy-comedy genre. The story follows Lady Carolina Sanchez, who spent her whole life believing she was the "disgrace of the Sanchez family"—a notion constantly reinforced by her older sister, Flora. When Carolina is sent to the neighboring Malcosian Empire for a political marriage with Prince Edward Ruby Martinez, she expects to disappoint her new family's expectations as well. To her great surprise, however, her future husband and new in-laws absolutely adore her. With their support and love, Carolina manages to discover new things about herself and grow.
Technically and narratively speaking, the animation is…

What annoyed me the most was this neglectful, absent father whom the story spent the entire anime portraying as some melancholic, overburdened man, when the harsh truth is that he was neglectful and emotionally absent. By isolating himself in his own grief, he allowed the family environment to become toxic. The dynamic between the sisters was destroyed because he failed to act like a father, and trying to redeem him as some “poor man who suffered in silence” completely ignores the fact that he was the main catalyst for the rift between them.
Then there’s the whole plot about their mother’s death. Flora spent her entire life hating Carolina and secretly blaming her for their mother’s death. Yet the full truth and resolution of this mystery seem to have been completely pushed aside. Neither…

This anime was simply terrible. Both the plot and the animation were at a truly pathetic level. It seemed like the animators were doing the work as a form of punishment. Literally every character was as flat as the pitch at the National Stadium. The evil sister had a change of heart for absolutely no reason—simply because her sister... smiled. The male lead just *existed*—and nothing more can be said about him, because nothing more was revealed, nor did he actually do much of anything throughout the entire 12-episode run. The female lead had "plot armor" for 100% of her screen time. Just like that. The sisters' father was a total loser; that’s how he was portrayed, and that’s how he ultimately saw himself. The music was shoehorned in just for the sake of having music. The font used in both…

Oblivious Saint has a problem, and that is that it is kind of bad.
The issue is that it is content to be mediocre, it wants to just be an average romance. It adds in bits of the Saintess Genre to add some flavour, but it plays everything safe and it doesn't do anything to elevate itself into standing out and actually being good. That means because it didn't build a strong foundation it has no where to go but down when things fall apart, and things do fall apart.
I don't want you to just trust me when I say it has a half-hearted approach to things and it is happy to settle for mediocrity, so I would point to the OP and ED for this series, granted an OP is not always indicative of a series of its quality, but it should be seen as a statement of intent, if you seek to pull in an audience th…

Let's start with the good things. Production quality is alright. Nothing bad that I could point out and music were applied was fitting.
That's about it though. The story and characters had potential but basically nothing was used. The emotions and motivations of some characters were extremely shallow and not even that relatable given they're adults at that point in time.
There were two moments in the story that could've flipped the entire story upside down and make it genuinely interesting but neither led anywhere. Anything "Bad" is mostly implied and nothing really is shown, so we're lacking the actual situations that'd let us feel the desperation, uneasiness or dread.
To me, it feels like the writer / director could not properly implement, what discrimination, wrath and greed could mak…

Stories of this kind rely on the audience rooting for the heroine, who, after overcoming many hardships, is finally recognised for her true worth. “Mujikaku Seijo”, however, keeps the depiction of these hardships to a minimum, and because of that everything (the characters’ motivations, romantic relationships, enemies and their scheming in the background, and the ending) seemed terribly bland to me.
The FL is kind and good-natured, but this isn’t one of those rare instances where such a character has been portrayed as interesting (unlike, for example, the heroine of “Futsutsuka na Akujo”, which aired in the same season). She has no particular interests or distinctive traits, nor does she need to change or make an effort to achieve anything.
The ML is an even bigger let-down, as the ‘bloody…

This anime is the standard "I was sent away to foreign land and treated well" story, and its biggest problem is that it is just that. It's not inventing something new or trying something different. It is staying in the safe zone and that is it's biggest flaw.
Animation and music: quite standard one. Animation is on budget but there is nothing outright bad, some actions scenes were nice and the rest is ok. Music is also there but it does not do anything else, not even enhancing the scenes that much.
Overall - industry standard, nothing bad but nothing good either.
Characters: this show has quite few of them but with the exception of main cast + Edward's older brother we do not get character development for any of them. Carolina is your standard goody-goody two shoes tragic heroine, despi…

The Oblivious Saint Can't Contain Her Power — "Been there and done that"...wash, rinse, repeat. So, what's new?
In the vast AniManga universe, if you've been watching anime for some time enough, especially shows in this weird 2020s timeline where money does not equal fame and/or recognition, it's the sad reality that we have been seeing with every passing season once we waged a win against the COVID pandemic, where things are moving at a breakneck pace that you just can't seem to catch up to like it was before. And this issue is most prominently displayed in the fantasy space (i.e. Isekai or regardless): that there are a lot of bad apples that have not been plucked from the tree to be dissected of the quality of their seeds being made and displayed onto the small screen. And as the saying…
