Introduction

Pugyuru is, in a word, weird. Indeed, beyond just being a frantic little comedy anime that you can watch in under 40 minutes, it is a window into what a total outsider might think all anime is like, which was especially the case in 2004. Long before anime was so well-known in the West, back when it was considered strange and underground, and back when the general public dismissed it offhand as a medium, ignorant of the potential and artistic mastery that lay within. They thought bright colors, loud sounds, and bizarre, often sexual humor were all that anime boiled down to, if they were even aware of it at all. its a little scary but its good
the art is nice and fluffy you can tell its old but thats its charm
the characters are funny
the characters react like they have a developmental disorder but thats okay because at the end of the day every problem has a solution
i think everyone will love it because its funny and funny and its just really funny im not sure what else
the main character is a blob but we pretend its a maid for our enjoyment
the main character also bounces a lot which is funny which adds on to the funniness
this is a simple review for a overly complex psychological show (a very simple show)
id give it a 10/10

Pugyuru's entire identity is being extremely strange and being full of absurd comedy that strives to make you laugh through how weird and unexpected the situations the characters go through are. If that's the kinda thing you could see yourself laughing at I think Pugyuru is totally worth a shot! Its whole runtime is like a little longer than your average anime episode so its no huge investment. It made me laugh with the stupid and nonsensical situations and made me say "what the fuck xD" multiple times so I think this anime did what it stood out to do. Cheko's stupid, never changing, face and amorphous nature is so funny xD
