Frankly this deserved to be rated a 6 but I liked the journey and art style too much. If you have watched Darling in the Franxx this feels like 2.0 with a love square. Memorable cast, good exploration of characters and how their post-apocalyptic cultural backgrounds shape their personality, and good fight scenes but a rushed and contrived ending to tie up lose ends. Post Apocalyptic series are always interesting to me if they really build into the world, and Towa made sure there was enough time to, with interesting aspects like banned books, government censorship, polygamy, and androids. Concepts were set up, most particularly the love triangle between Akira, Yugure, and Amoru is acceptable in their society really made me want to explore that concept. It's just that even if this had one mo…

Something purely fresh and new ; unlike a generic story ; this story shifts 160 ; creating a lot of interesting plot.
The development of the MC how he grows on his journey is very well done ; the environment ; scenery ; and is very good.
The action is enjoyable with more then a few fights .
The story did felt like it dragged a bit mid-way prolonging too much the journey before the transitions ; but it managed to reach there in the end and give the story a conclusion and a satisfying answer to the journey.
Looking forward to more fresh story ideas with this kind of impact and development

The premise of the show was interesting enough to catch my attention, but its execution was just plain horrible. The end of Episode 1 lures you into this idea that the show will a post-apocalyptic journey to piece together the fate of mankind, its past mistakes and its uncertain future (with a fair amount of action).
Instead you get plot points that are never fleshed out (the Letogians, for one), a horrible Mafia plot line across two episodes, and copious romance. I expected a decent focus on romance due to Episode 0, but the major theme of the show is love (and polyamory surprisingly). But the Mafia story in Episode 3 and 4 highlights the lack of apocalypse for a good chunk of the show as despite the state of the village in Episode 1, most of humanity is living in a world similar to the…

You disappointed yourself. Let me explain.
The only reason this show is rated as low as it is, is because people wanted this to be something it was never going to be. That's the trouble with people relying on their emotions to dictate their expectations. This show did not intentionally mislead anyone. If so, I encourage you to explain how... like with well thought-out examples.
Now if that's the way you feel, then that's the way you feel. Don't pin your disappointment on the show though. This didn't Gangsta itself. It didn't Game of Thrones itself. It didn't Darling in the Franxx itself.
While I understand the disappointment due to the jarring switch and bait, you’ll realize as you continue on watching, it’s your own perception and expectation that betrays you. The first episode is a…

Probably one of the best original series I've watched. I only noticed now it's from P.A. Works which also produced Buddy Daddies, a story I loved to pieces and that made me cry like a baby.
The directing is really good, with a lot of little, carefully placed details that make things realistic and endearing, and some foreshadowing that give consistency to the endgame plot.
Same for the aesthetics: clean character design that never gets derpy, poetic scenery and smooth animation quality even in the "boring" scenes, only to be shonen-tier engaging in the action climaxes.
The soft, melancholic yet hopeful piano score accompanying every episode was also really beautiful and soothing.
My only gripe is the writing pace, because the beginning was especially slow and meandering and I understand why…

I have no idea why this anime gets so much hate. Nowadays, people often watch isekai with shallow or nonsensical plots, yet this series offers something different.
It presents various kinds of love that exist in the world. Sure, it may not be the best anime ever, but it’s definitely not as bad as some make it out to be. The art style and animation are beautiful, and the atmosphere feels refreshing.
The MC might upset you in some episodes, but that’s not the point. This anime wants to show you something else.
So, if you enjoy anime that explores emotions in a unique way, something we don’t see very often anymore... give this one a chance.

First you shouldn't expect a classic post apocalyptic sci fi action story if you expect that you will be disappointed.
All these elements exist but they are not the focus.
Its much more a story about love, humanity and whats make these aspects so important to us just set in a post apocalyptik world.
So is it a true Masterpiece or absolute trash? Neither.
The Charakter are often somewhat shallow especially most of the side charakters only exist to move the plot forward and don't really contribute anything to the overall story.
The worldbuilding has a very interesting premise but is severly underused. Its just in the background with much impact on the plot apart from the last few episodes when everything is explained.
This is one problem I agree one with many overs who disliked it you can't…

A lot of people seem to approach Dusk Beyond the End of the World expecting a conventional sci-fi apocalypse story. That expectation alone is why I think many miss what the series is actually doing.
On the surface, the show presents familiar speculative ideas: human enhancement through nanotechnology, artificial intelligence, and replicated personalities. What makes it stand out is that it doesn’t frame these concepts as power fantasies or cautionary headlines. Instead, it asks a quieter, more unsettling question: what happens when intimacy itself becomes technologically fragile?
One of the most interesting ideas the series introduces is the distinction between artificial intelligence and artificial personality. Intelligence can process, predict, and optimize — but a personality carries…

"Biggest sham of 2025 "
After watching prequel and first 2 eps my expectations were high , stakes were high but unfortunately it went in a deep pithole . sometimes there are some loopholes in anime but here anime is in loopholes , literally very poor writing . Premise is very intresting , you will think it's gonna be a good sci fi but at the end it's just a tragic struggle between feelings of different characters .
The creator clearly aimed to troll us into rage-quitting, leaving you muttering, "What a colossal time sink. The only thing which i liked is plot twist but it was executed very poorly , too many lame cliches . Don't get me wrong , i am just tried of these repetitive "tragic past happy ending" stories . Anime tried to improve itself at some last few eps but that was just a lame…

Interesting plot to say the least, I started watching from episode 0 to 12 and it gave me the impression that the person they were searching for was still you know. But during the mid few episodes it started having massive plot twist I was shocked lol. The ending was nice but it felt too fast? Like so everything they thought or planed just boom gone and it’s just this but I know they already got the answer but still, it leaves a missing feeling ig.
Overall it’s not bad would recommend! The op and the ed were great, the artstyle also, loved it’

So, I've JUST finished the last episode of Dusk Beyond the End of the World. I've gotta say, BRAVO!! I really can't imagine someone NOT recommending this anime if they ACTUALLY watched the whole thing! The world building.... the mystery... the heartfelt moments... the laughter... This anime had it all in my opinion! I'll even admit, the last episode brought tears to my eyes. The resolution was just fantastic. I feel like I could immediately re-watch this and not be bored.
If you're a fan of futuristic, post apocalyptic, scifi, then you HAVE to give this anime a watch. It's a heartfelt story that will reverberate with me for a while.

This series takes us to a familiar era with a bit more advanced technology and shows a romantic story, but it soon drops us off in an unknown place that looks like it's from the old days and leaves us in complete ignorance - just like the main character. At first, the plot after the prologue seems a bit choppy - we jump from place to place, there's censorship everywhere and a generally strangely set system in different locations, but it's definitely fun to watch and get to know our heroes of the story more. After many minor adventures on the seemingly "endless" path to the goal, however, the plot settles down a bit, drops a story bomb and ends it all gracefully. I'm glad I came across the poster for this anime, which intrigued me enough to watch the series and enjoy a new episode every wee…

Wasted Potential the anime. That’s the title I would give to Towa no Yuugure. Episode 0 and the first two episodes were so interesting, they hooked me instantly. The setup was perfect for this gritty story set in a post apocalyptic world. The art style was pretty and vibrant, and it had all the tools to build into a real gem of an anime. Where did it all go so wrong?
As soon as the story gets underway, the characters go on the most random, plot hole filled side quests that make absolutely no sense and lead to nothing. Some of them are actually rather strange, as they thematize incest and polygamy. Speaking of polygamy, this is a very heavily recurring theme in the show. This new world has something called “Ehlsea,” which basically means you can get married to as many people as you want. R…

Don't let the first episodes fool you.
After watching this you will feel like you have wasted precious minutes of your life.
Plot:
• A guy who doesnt know hes not real,
• Someone helping him who knows he's not real but doesn't tell him,
• Episodes full of side characters that literally add nothing at all to nothing, <---- not a typo
• Incest (No half siblings... pure, blood related incest)
• Lies revealed, but nothing changes. So... FU viewer.
• Unnecessary time skip... because... we can... FU viewer
• Meaningless ending. No conclusion Themes:
• Main character is naive and annoying can do NOTHING by himself.
He literally dies like 4 times and has to be brought back. He's useless, No exaggeration.
• Let's talk to random strangers because we can trust them. Even though we being are hunted.
•…

An original, short, self-contained story with different approaches is always welcome. It's nice to break out of the routine and watch this kind of unusual anime.
Strengths:
- It's self-contained.
- The plot twists are very interesting (slightly predictable, but interesting).
- It doesn't have a completely happy ending.
- The backstory is very good.
- The animation is good. - The villains are mostly ordinary people with problems, trying to solve them with whatever they have.
On the downside:
-They waste too much time on side quests that add very little to the story or character development.
-The final villain, initially super intelligent and strategic, ends up fighting an immortal android with a flimsy little pistol.
-The epilogue is too short.
-And my biggest…

Well... Watched the whole thing. Episode 0 and the first two episodes were quite interesting. Then is was downhill from there. Not terrible, but just the twist was pretty lackluster, and the action in the first episode was better than anything else that happened afterwards. The characters? Like them at first but then I realised that all their problems could've been solved if they just communicated? Like seriously, this show is just a ton of lying by omission for no real reason.
The action in the first episode is the best part. But once you reach about episode 5 or 6 ya kind of start wondering where things are going, and it isn't for the better. By the ending few episodes you kind of wonder what even the point of this show was? Was it love between machines and humans? Finding towasa? Akir…

What an incredible waste of time, if you want to watch a good android anime try "Vivy: Fluorite Eye's Song" instead and don't ever look back.
The anime got progressively worse and worse until I stopped being able to relate to the characters at all. The entire story feels as if it was written by a school dropout with nothing but "robots go brrrr" on his mind. It just feels really amateurish and if I had to describe it in a word it would be "drama"slop with emphasis on the quotes.
I initially thought the story started off strong, however looking back I can see I ignored a few red flags that should've made me drop the anime immediately. Those few problems at the start don't even come close to the absolute diarrhea of a story that follows though, with random characters and their boring probl…

Towa no Yuugure is an anime that started out promising but then slowly got disappointing and ended up being laughable stock.
The story is about Akira Himegami, who appeared to be awakened in a post-apocalyptic world a dozen years after the shooting incident involving him and his adoptive sister, Towasa Omagi. Together with a humanoid named Yuugure and a mysterious girl called Amoru, Akira began his post-apocalyptic adventure to find the truth about his first love, Towasa, and a new polyamorous romantic concept called Elsie.
The visuals are eye-catching, and the animations were undoubtedly one of the best of this season, but that's the only good thing about it.
The anime's pacing was atrocious. Every confrontation with the antagonists felt repetitive, and the stakes were so low. Almost e…

Towa no Yuugure begins with an impressive opening. The first two episodes create an engaging concept, and establish an interesting mystery. Right from the start, it gives the impression of being one of those shows that might gradually evolve into something unforgettable if it maintains its direction.
However, as the storyline progresses, that initial excitement starts to diminish. The plot becomes entangled in forgettable and uninteresting side stories that do not contribute meaningfully to the central mystery or the characters. Several episodes begin to feel more like interruptions rather than advancements. There's a part in the story, near the end, where the series momentarily regains its momentum, it gets more interesting and fills you with renewed hope for a good ending.
Unfortunate…

If you look at this series objectively, it's quite fine. But when you take a look *subjectively*, then it gets a little more complicated.
From the beginning of the series, it seemed solid. Post-Apocalyptic world, with Androids and coexisting humans. Setting has a solid set up. And on that end, the world building, and surroundings were all fine. No issues there for me. The slight problem with this series seems to be its characters.
Quite a lot of the characters here were written decently. Most I didn't have a problem with, including the MCs (Akira & Yuugure). But something this series struggled with was utilizing these characters, because half the time we'd focus on side characters that practically didn't have any impact and then the core development of our MCs would then lack in return…
