An history that begins with an "usual" instance of the protagonist being dragged into the party that must defeat the demon lord by some twist. By the name of the series, the hero dies and the MC takes his place, quite literally. At first, it seems like just another one of these history in a fantasy setting with swords and magic which the MC and his party go through thing 1 and thing 2 to reach the thing 3, with a lot of fan service and heavy on the ecchi side. Except, it's a comedy history. There's a lot more to it and everything should be taken as a parody and, while parodies of these settings are also common, Yuusha ga Shinda! does it without losing focus. The comedy does not feel forced, maybe the character's personalities may be weird at start, but you'll get used to it and accept that…

The legendary hero is dead is a very ridiculous, weird comedy anime, in all the good ways.
We follow Touka, a farmer who I kid you not, plants radishes because they look like thighs, he gets accidentally involved in a heroic quest after a trap he had set up kills the legendary hero. He's a sort of trickster, scoundrel rogue with little motivations other than his own, he gets dragged into a role of a hero that he's obviously not fit to fill.
It's very rare to see an anime that puts so much effort into tailoring a story so focused on fanservice, from the very start every plot points seems to lead into someone losing their clothes, people are semi or fully naked half the time, this anime embraces fanservice to a level that I can't understate. It honestly becomes part of the comedy and at so…

A pleasant addition to your "Fellow Men of Culture" library. Not quite on at the level of Prison School or High School DxD, but a very enjoyable and hilariously raunchy romp that knows what it is andfully leans into the bit with gusto
MC is a humble farmer NPC who is a thigh/stockings man; as seen by the THICC radishes he grows on his farm. As the title suggests, the Legendary Hero dies and the MC wakes up in his body, using it (along with his dirty and overactive imagination ) to help save the day.
Great artstyle with attention to detail in all the right spots :) The OP is a very underrated banger
The Comedy and pacing is very good while the jokes don't feel overused. The MC uses his ecchiness to defeat his enemies in amazingly satisfying ways. The fanservie is woven nicely into the pl…

This is underrated shit, should be above 7. There are some funny parts , whole plot wasnt boring at all. Its a comedy with a naughty twist to it. Creative powers obtain from the MC. Great villians with dynamic turnaround. It was a good run !
Story is unique, quite predictable since its a hero story, we all know the MC wouldnt die. But theres a definite goal in this story, to save somene he loves, like any other hero-prince rescue plot
art style is pretty good actually imo
The characters are well portrayed.
I think others who enjoy Redo of Healer, or something Ecchi with Comedy would enjoy this anime

I really enjoyed this anime. I tend to be a relatively hard scorer and I think it's kinda crazy the low rating on this while also having only 1 negative review.
I like that the show has a very clear plot from the beginning to the end. There's no real fluff anywhere in the show. Yes, there is ecchi, however it never really intrudes to aggressively. The main character is a bit too over-the-top at times but its not uncommon in animes to see characters like him, however I definitely would have enjoyed the show a bit more if his ludeness was dropped down just a bit. You use the same joke over and over again and it really does start to become distracting. We really only see the main character develop through flashbacks and those flashbacks could have been a bit longer. The characters are a bit…

Overall, the anime is good; it has a great plot and hooks that could make you want to jump to the next episode. The characters are also quite "alive," and the main character's trait is that of a character we would respect "besides all the ecchi stuff.". However, I still think that the story itself still lacks spice. For example, they could have delved deeper into the story of how the MC and his teacher met and how she trained him. They could have delved much deeper into the story of the MC's parents and how much they impacted his life. Other than that, I do think that the antagonist owes us a bit of a backstory on his agenda and his life in hell. However, despite all of it's downsides, I still think that this anime is still a great anime that I would recommend for those who like robins by…

In a sea full of harem/fantasy shows (that have saturated the anime community), it's hard to pick out shows that are worth watching. With so many of the same generic shows, with the same plot (i.e., MC gets reincarnated, needs to save the world, is weak but becomes super OP by episode 2-3, then has a flock of girls fall in love with him for little to no reasons) and kirito clone MCs, you might think venturing into this genre is a waste of time.
For the most part, you're right. However, Yuusha ga Shinda! is a fun, entertaining harem/fantasy show, that doesn't suck as much as the rest of these types of shows. It does have some element of "saving the world" but it really isn't THAT central to the plot and I feel like the show focuses more on the relationships between the main cast more so th…

This anime is a hidden gem within the comedy genre, offering a refreshing and delightful experience with its unique cast of characters and unexpected plot twists. While there are moments that may not elicit as many laughs as anticipated, the overall narrative and dynamic interactions between the characters create a charming and engaging viewing experience. The anime skillfully blends light-hearted humor with deeper character development, resulting in a story that keeps you invested from start to finish. Although this show may not have gained widespread popularity, its distinct style and captivating storytelling make it a must-watch for anyone seeking a comedy anime that breaks away from the conventional mold. If you're looking for a show that offers a mix of humor, heart, and a dash of qui…

Funny but kinda badly paced. With some stuff dragging on for too long.
The story is about a young farmer boy Touka who is great at traps and really really loves thighs.
His village is attacked by a demon but the day is saved by the hero Shion. But then Shion falls into Touka's trap and dies...
Shion's body is reanimated by his necromancer companion, and Touka is placed in Shion's body. And now its up to Touka to defeat the Demon Lord and seal the Gates of Hell just like the hero did years ago.
Accompanying him on his journey are:
his childhood friend Yuna who admired the hero,
Anri the necromancer and Shion's companion,
and Marguerit a princess who was supposed to marry Shion.
Touka is not that strong. But despite being a pervert he is very clever, knows how to plan and make traps.

Hey folks, this will be my review for Yuusha ga Shinda. Simply put it's not very good. It is however a semi funny little time waster.
I think we can skip over the paragraphs of text I usually put in and focus in on the tagged theme "Parody". I have no idea if the original creator purposefully made this shitty to parody the other shows they view as absurd, or it is just a shitty show/manga. There is a lot we can unpack and digest but it doesn't deserve that, so Ill summarize quickly. The story isn't half bad if you're just there for entertainment, but it also constantly stops to fill you in on the tons of information we miss off screen. This includes powers, plans, traps...etc. The art is simply muddy and not at all interesting. Whether its a fight scene or one of the numerous ecchi scene…

"The Legendary Hero is Dead" offers a unique take on the isekai genre, blending humor and adventure in a world filled with magical creatures and epic quests. While it has its moments of pervy comedy, and grand adventure, the series falls short in combing aspects of comedy and high adventure plot, earning it a mid-range rating of 6 out of 10.
One of the standout features of the anime is its innovative premise. The story revolves around the aftermath of a legendary hero's demise, a refreshing departure from the typical hero's journey. This twist injects a sense of unpredictability into the narrative, keeping viewers engaged as they explore a world coping with the loss of its savior. Some gender swapping is also a large part of the character interactions (if that kind of thing is important t…

I was pleasantly surprised by The Legendary Hero is Dead.
When I started watching The Legendary Hero is Dead, I didn't have high expectations. Honestly, I thought it would be a good "snack" while I waited for a new season of a better anime.
Fortunately, I was wrong. While The Legendary Hero is Dead is not a masterpiece, it is definitely a pleasant story that will make you have a much better time than you expected.
This anime has a well-made, well-constructed, and well-narrated story. You will not find any clichés. Instead, you will have interesting people with great personalities who will have something unexpected to tell you until the last chapter.
One aspect that I personally enjoyed a lot is that, unlike most anime, which always have stories about alchemists, here we are presented w…

Absolutely criminal that this anime does not get more recognition. It is worth every bit of your attention and a must watch for people who like fantasy comedy anime such as Cautious Hero. Comedy is over the top while having an underlying serious plotline. Characters are fleshed out and have their own motivations. Main character is just a hilarious degenerate but even then he is not a bad person. Also the OP is an absolute banger. If this anime had been longer I probably would have given it a 10. Incredible anime and I hope it gets a season 2. Watch it, seriously.

Sleeper anime of the year, I didn't expect this would be a good show, I thought for sure that this was some generic action fantasy show.
What I love about this anime is the strategies and clever ways to tackle the problem presented, that's why I love Hunter X Hunter 2011, Tomodachi Game & battle in 5 seconds, even though one character is not that powerful, they can even the odds through strategies. The Comedy gag was average but there are parts of comedies that was not part of the gag that are way too funny, so to me it satisfies the comedy tag there. The ecchi is just the cherry on top for me, it's the reason why I even watch this in the first place, it was a decent ecchi, the old school ecchi, unlike the new ones where they implied to actually do it (well I also love that but MAL finall…

This is as close to a KonaSuba spiritual successor as you’re gonna find. It’s the exact same sort of nonsense and debauchery people loved KS for.
It’s not quite as good.
But it’s very very good. The jokes don’t hit as hard but it vibes nicely.
The 6.6 /10 this is rocking currently as of July 2023 is a complete joke. Virtue signaling I guess.
At the end of the day, if you loved KobaSuba you should appreciate and love this too, even while acknowledging it’s not as good. Character art 9/10 - nicu waifu’s, and the protagonist (both bodies) looked good
Backgrounds 6/10 - acceptable
Animation 7/10 - nothing mind blowing but looked good
Pacing 9/10 - this was surprising but the pacing was very good
Character development 7/10 - expected this to be a 0/10 considering the content but it was act…

A Lackluster Journey with "Yuusha ga Shinda!" - A Disappointing Anime Experience
Rating: 4/10
"Yuusha ga Shinda!" or "The Legendary Hero Is Dead!" promised an intriguing premise, but unfortunately, it failed to deliver on its potential. Despite my initial excitement, it took an unusually long time to get in the mood to finish the anime. Normally, I would breeze through a 12-episode series in a day, but this one took me a week of on-and-off watching, indicating a lack of engagement.
I wouldn't recommend "Yuusha ga Shinda!" to anyone, as it falls short in various aspects. First and foremost, the humor within the series is lackluster. The jokes often fall flat, and the attempts at comedic relief rarely hit the mark, leaving me wanting more. Even as an ecchi anime, it disappoints, as the po…

Animation is a little above average. Action scenes are not particularly impressive, but then again not terrible. Backgrounds are fine, and the characters are drawn with enough detail. Nothing impressive, but good enough. Characters are fun, but not terribly deep. I would say the characters are likeable for the right audience, but not for everyone. I think they play off eachother nicely though. The story isn't too deep, but it's different enough and is pretty fun. Pacing, while not amazing, is very competent and keeps things fun. Voice acting is fine. Kind of grating and not all that impressive, but I think the casting is pretty good. Soundtrack is fine, but not memorable in anyway. I did really like the op/ed, very fun. Sound effects were kind of bad though. Overall it's rough around the e…

It's ecchi, lots of degenerate moments and humor, production is decent and yet it ends up being a good story.
What is good about it is character development, yep, they have this in this stupid trashy ironic show. And all characters involved grow during the season which I appreciate as so many higher rated shows don't exactly know how to do that.
Obviously overall it jokes around a lot from the degenerate pervy MC, from the nonsensical nudity (both male and female, so they are honest about it) to many characters being fetishists or straight up perverts. It's clear that if you feel offended by that kind of humor you won't have fun with that show and that's ok.
I found it amusing that it can create wholesome episodes with all of that surrounding the narrative and the characters and they mad…

Seasonal Fodda Thighs
For the anime which it set out to be which was a low quality bit of comedic seasonal fodder it did ok. It had an ok MC which was more tactical with a side of perviness.
Yes alot of people don't appreciate the ecchi side of life and everyone to their own on that front but as a Mega Chad of an ecchi enjoyer this anime focused alot on thighs which we can all agree win the debate in a three way between Boobas, Buttocks and THIGHS.
With that out of the way the plot started very slow with characters not really being known, which changes towards the end of the season. the animation and design is what you'd expect from seasonal fodder type anime with ok comedy and some nice ecchi scenes when they come about.
The world building is a bit meh with even at the end of the seas…

It had a lot of potential and there is some high moments, but overall it just wasn't what it should have been. The main problem was that he didn't get the comic timing right. Perhaps it would have worked with a more ridiculous comedy and lacked serious contrasting elements.
They tried to bring a Kono Suba-type humor, which has a proven right formula of parody with fantasy, action and ecchi. However, they did without an Aqua, without a Megumin and without a Darkness, just with Touka who is a slightly more virtuous version of Kazuma. There is one or another moment that some other character besides Touka is used to try to produce something comic, but it usually doesn't work and they are punctual moments of characters that don't make a comic pair with the protagonist. Even Touka, precisely be…
