Are You Lost?

Are You Lost?

Introduction

After a school trip goes terribly wrong, Homare Onishima, Shion Kujou, Asuka Suzumori, and Mutsu Amatani are left stranded on a deserted island. While Shion, Asuka, and Mutsu are frightened and desperate, Homare seems strangely calm. Fortunately for the group, this isn't the first time she's been stranded! Homare spent her childhood training with her survivalist father all over the world, climbing cliffs, trapping prey, building shelters, and obtaining valuable nutrition from moose testicles. To Homare, surviving on an uninhabited island with a slim chance of rescue is child's play. The only problem is the other three. As Homare shamelessly guides her classmates through the finer points of survival, including drinking fish blood and eating cicadas, the girls start to realize that being stranded might not be as bad as they had imagined. In Are You Lost? (Sounan desu ka?), four high school girls get stranded on a deserted island after a school trip goes wrong. One of them, Homare Onishima, basically goes full Bear Grylls mode and teaches the other three how to survive out there. If you're into anime and survival stuff, you'll probably enjoy this one — though fair warning, a few scenes might not be for everyone. It's funny and short, with 12-minute episodes, so I think it's worth it. You don’t see many survival-themed anime out there, especially ones that mix it with comedy like this. The story’s nothing groundbreaking, but it works. The girls react pretty naturally to the situations, and each one has their own vibe. The art style is simple but fits the tone — a bit goofy, not too serious.

"It is a lost cause". I hate how reviews works here, like, there is no much to say about this , but I'll have to be mumbling a lot of nothing just so it can be published. Well, what is this anime? is a anime with cute girls, boo*s, nudity and a lot of fan service; I mean, those who likes this kind of stuff, will be satisfied, at least some scenes makes logical sense, but in general they have no excuse to exist; the girls are fine, generic, not much personality, boring most of the time; the survival guide stuff is kinda neat, some scenes when the girls have to face the inevitable side of life and death add some flavor to the whole; the "rescue" episode shows some signs of writing quality, but the end doesn't ends anything, that's something to be expect for such a non serious show. The an…

When it's not being completely disgusting, this show is an absolute blast. Warning for some colourism ep.9, and hope you have a strong stomach for the finale. I enjoyed the mini episodes approach to this show and loved the characters. I think the light romance pairings were really well executed and all the characters were given growth during the show arc. I also appreciated that there wasn't any over-explaining of the situation, it made suspending reality and joining these girls on their adventure really easy. I found it cheeky, playful, funny, and an easy watch. Again, the humour is very gross at times. There is also lots of fan service. This with either make you love or hate the show, to each their own, just know what you're going into. Happy watching! xx

Ah God... This was a tough one to finish. A 10min/per ep anime that took me 3 years to finish. I just couldn't. Despite the short episode time I felt like it took ages to finish even one of them. The story was kind of boring, the characters didn't seem to have a real personality (we have the weird kid Homare, the snob Shion, the jock Asuka and the nerd Mutsu - argue with me all you want, it's exactly how I put it) and the only thing that tried to make it better was the constant fan servise of panties, bras, big boobs and "intimacy" between the girl. I cannot deny that it was educational and made you think "Oh, I could NOT do that" followed by imagining yourself in that situation. But other than that, this anime was a pain to watch and upon finishing it I got angry because they put a VERY…

Sounan desu ka displays an incredible understanding of survival skills and techniques showcasing them in situations that make sense. There are times where something was done with some information as to why something should work but in practice would just ultimately fail. I mean throwing a phone battery at a shark to make it flee from the electric field it generates is utterly absurd. These occurrences however are far and few in between. I often found myself thinking that the way they handled dealing with certain problems was very smart. The characters would then quickly ruin this feeling with terrible personality. The main survivalist Homare is smart and calculated but at the same time completely unhinged creating a polarizing experience. Everyone else makes it their mission to be complet…

do not watch the last episode oh god do not watch the last episode it's just don't do it it's not worth it so anyway it's a fairly good show (fuck that one scene in the last episode). It has a lot of "fan service" which i usually don't like, but it never feels forced, and also i know alot more about survival situations than i did before (even things i don't wanna know, that one scene in the last episode is...). The story makes enough sense that you won't question it during a casual viewing, but it isn't perfect as most plots aren't. there are alot of flashbacks especially later on, and it can get kinda annoying but they're pretty short so it's not all that bad.

Story 7/10 Four high school girls get stranded on an island in the middle of the ocean with no food, water or shelter thankfully one of the girls Homare Onishima is well versed in survival conditions and provides assistance and advice in obtaining water, food and shelter for the group as well as some ideas and advice for the viewer. Not the most complex and compelling story but it is executed well with interesting and attractive characters and interesting advice on survival conditions for the viewer. Art 7/10 The world and characters look good here with some nice colors and some good ecchi. Sound 7/10 The sound and music is reasonable and I liked the voice acting particularly Homare who has some excellent lines. Characters 7/10 Homare is an excellent character who does a great job…

Are you lost? Yes I am. I was lost while searching new anime to watch and stumble upon this anime. Basically Sounan Desu ka? is about 4 high school girls stranded on an island after a place crash. They have to survive with what ever skills they have. Pretty cliche right? There are a lot of this kind of genre such as Lost (Hollywood TV series), Cast Away (Hollywood movie), 7 Seeds, Dr. Stone, and even documentaries such as Bear Grylls, and novel such as Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe. You get the idea how this genre are abundant out there. So what makes this anime special? NONE. except for some cute girls and fan service. So why did I gave it a pretty high ratings? Well to be honest, I am a fan or survival genre. I played a lot of survival game and watched this kind of genre. So maybe I a…

I'll be quick with my review: This is fun; light-hearted, ecchi-Esque guilty pleasure filled show, you can watch to free up your mind of any stress because if you for a mellow guilty pleasure filled show, with a bit of intellectual backing as well,(do your research, however) I will recommend this to you. the characters were generic, yet kinda likeable. considering the span of the series the plot was non-existent and this was merely a show filled with mild sexual gags, which depending on your preferences and mood can delight you. although there were parts which were too crude. The animation was smooth and fluid. The art was light and colourful, which made the series look aesthetic, enjoyable and comedic. Leave sound. It's almost non-existent in the series Overall- If you can tolerate a…

The story is weirdly decent enough for me to enjoy. I seem to enjoy survival. I like Homare's backstory. The story was decent with a bit of character development. Though most of the story is just how reliable Homare is. The art was decent at most. A couple of inconsistencies here and there. Though for most of the anime, the art was great. Also, fanservice. I quite like the opening and the ending. For some reason I can't remember any OST in this anime at all. Characters were great. Kinda. Homare is best girl, so reliable and never complains. Homare always try to satisfy her friends. Asuka is just the athletic girl trope. Mutsu is quite cute at times. And I can't stand Shion, but she had some development near the end. So it's not that bad. Did I enjoy this anime? Damn right I enjoyed it. Who…

A fun story about some high-school girls that get stuck on an island. With some hilarious situations, but it has some unnecessary lewd moments. The character interactions are very fun and the characters themselves play on a lot of tropes. Story – 6 It’s not bad, the fun is the character interactions and the reactions from the characters. With the main survivalist character introducing some new, funny aspect to survive. Sound – 8 I like to Opening, but not the Ed. The background music is basically non-existent. Art – 7 Great Panty art, everything else is pretty normal. I’m going to give it a 7 because it has some fun reactions. Characters – 8 These 4 characters are the only characters that are introduced in the entire series. it’s great to see their interactions and stories. Homare i…

After a sudden plane crash, four girls are now stranded on an island in the middle of the ocean. Luckily for them, one of the girls, Homare Onishima, has grown up with an extreme survival expert father, and claims to have been lost numerous times with him. With Homare's wealth of survival knowledge, the four might just live long enough to be rescued! Eventually...? Are you Lost? is an Ecchi comedy, the unique spin about this comedy is that aforementioned survival on an uninhabited island. Many of the scenarios and situations the girls find themselves in can be funny, educational even. However, there are a small handful of situations that occur, which end up being solved with... let's just say indecent solutions. I'm also not about to google if some of those "solutions" are realistic or sc…

I've enjoyed Sounan Desu Ka? It's light and entertaining, yet there are many unexpected knowledges that I can get through it. The anime's duration per episode suits the theme and the season well, I mean it's summer, right? • Story: It doesn't give a strong impression but it's okay for short entertainment types of anime. • Art: It's decent. It's still colorful, has good facial expressions for its characters, and so on. • Music background: Not bad, just average atmospheric music background. • Character: I know the characters are a common combination like there are the strong one, the silly, the nerd, and the spoiled, but they are still entertaining and make the story more vibrant. • Enjoyment: The enjoyment will grow along through the run of episodes. It's pretty fun if you are after…

Let's get this out of the way first - it's a show filled with fan service of very attractive girls in a survival setting. Having said that, I love both of those things! The character designs are gorgeous. The personalities of each character are unique and fun. Their group dynamics are what you would expect when you combine those characters in any environment. What I really loved about this show is that is really does look "real". Yes, the survival tactics are pretty accurate and yes, most people who are not into wilderness camping would be just as clueless as the other characters. It just was a joy to watch and I even learned a couple of things, even though I've been camping with minimal equipment for 20 years. Overall, it's just a really fun show to watch and I can't recommend it eno…

Sounan Desu ka? takes the very unoriginal general concept of "what if you got stranded on a deserted island?" and applies it to anime, where it's actually something original (if there's more survival anime that came out before this, let me know and I'll eat my hat). However, as original of a concept as it may be, it still falls short as an anime. The story is the only decent category, followed by the music. It's not something every anime does, and I have to give it some credit for that. It's a concept that's been done worse, but it's also been done far better. Adding school girls to the mix will only get you so far. The art is lackluster and even bad at some points. Maybe I've been spoiled by KyoAni and other big-budget studios, but a lot of animation feels lifeless, robotic, and choppy.…

Finally this uninformative, unfunny, stupid ass trashfeista is over. God-damn my aversion to dropping series unless they're super long and intolerable. This was just short and intolerable. This anime features wholly unsafe survival advice. From drinking urine, which is unviable due to the waste products within it causing a number of adverse health effects that heavily outweigh any hydration benefits, to drinking blood, which will cause iron poisoning in most humans if done more than very occasionally and more importantly expose your digestive tract to any number of pathogens. The very small amount of remotely sound advice offered is offered with as little practical information as possible, I.E. the instructions for the construction of a snare trap being extremely vague and being entirely…

This anime is simple, but both funny and educational. The characters are likable - not very complex, but not too cliche - and slowly build up their new lives from scratch depending on the survival techniques of the odd but reliable Homare. There isn't too much detail, but the instructions/explanations are clear to the viewer, passing on easy but potentially life saving tips, although hopefully you'll never need to use them. Definitely interesting just for the trivia, but the characters make the minimal story enjoyable to watch, rather than being like a straight up lesson or guide. With it's short episodes, I think this is an easily digestible show that will make you laugh, and leave you a little better educated for it. Personally I really enjoyed this series, and hope it gets a sequel so…

Sounan Desu ka? This is one of two short-form animes for this Summer Season, and in my opinion, it's the lesser of the two. A group of four school girls are stranded on a distant island, three of them are clueless as far as survival techniques go, while the fourth girl, Homare, is well versed in her survival tactics, thanks in part to her dad. Story: The story isn't very deep. It more or less follows the girls trails on a daily basis, as they try to survive being stranded on this island. Each episode generally had it's own theme, or issue, that they were working to get through. Art: Nothing too special here. The art gets the job done, and so does the animation. I'm not gonna pretend to complain about the fan service that took place throughout the anime. Otherwise, I wouldn't say this mad…

If i were to compared this of "Naked and Afraid" , this was the worst survival theme show, I'd ever watch and if Bear Gyrills and Hazen Audel be watching this, I'm pretty sure they'll be giving this fucking original creator Okamoto, Kentarou an earful of bashing. So. Story Pros: The plot was simply based on one of Bear Gyrill's realty show "The Island" where , a group of participant were to moored themselves in an island where they're to survive on their own. Cons: It has more to do with one girl who has to use her wits in order to survived and the fact that she has to deal with other girls whom were just a bunch of whining kids with a prima donna attitude, also the survival tips were a combination of half correct and half wrong. Verdict 3/10 Art Pros: A lotta fanservices.......…

Homare's Declassified Stranded in an Island Survival Guide: Anime Short Edition 4 girls gets stranded on an island when their plane crash, they need to survive as well as send for help in any way possible and Homare Onishima knows all the survival tips because of her father teaching her this at an early age. So that's the basic premise, how about the characters?, well due to Homare knowing all the survival tips let alone her childhood mostly in the dangerous wilderness, she a bit of a quirky, blunt social character and that makes her funny in a ways especially with the interactions with the rest of the cast. Mutsu Amatani voiced by Kiyono Yasuno and Asuka Suzumori voiced by Hiyori Kouno help Homare with things to help with their surivial, with Mutsu being knowledgeable and taking on what…
