Laid-Back Camp

Laid-Back Camp

Introduction

While the perfect getaway for most girls her age might be a fancy vacation with their loved ones, Rin Shima's ideal way of spending her days off is camping alone at the base of Mount Fuji. From pitching her tent to gathering firewood, she has always done everything by herself, and has no plans of leaving her little solitary world. However, what starts off as one of Rin's usual camping sessions somehow ends up as a surprise get-together for two when the lost Nadeshiko Kagamihara is forced to take refuge at her campsite. Originally intending to see the picturesque view of Mount Fuji for herself, Nadeshiko's plans are disrupted when she ends up falling asleep partway to her destination. Alone and with no other choice, she seeks help from the only other person nearby. Despite their hasty introductions, the two girls nevertheless enjoy the chilly night together, eating ramen and conversing while the campfire keeps them warm. And even after Nadeshiko's sister finally picks her up later that night, both girls silently ponder the possibility of another camping trip together. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

Laid-Back Camp is a comforting & gentle watch from start to finish, and it takes the usual tropes of an iyashikei anime — and either elevates them, or explores new things entirely. Not to mention, it's extremely funny! Being set in and around Yamanashi Prefecture in Japan, it lets you really get immersed in the world-building and real-life locations that are featured in the anime — for example, Koan Camping Ground, the campsite that overlooks Lake Motosu and has a view of Mt. Fuji, featured in the first episode of the anime. The way these settings are illustrated in the anime gave me a sense of euphoria and immersion that I simply hadn't felt before. The first episode immediately hooked me into the world of Laid-Back Camp, with its humour, storytelling and contrasting character personali…

I knew nothing about camping, nor did I care. I just stumbled upon the anime cuz I wanted something on my iPad during my trip to Somewhere for the first time in my life, traveling away on my own. And I love it. What can I say, it’s Slice-of-life Cute-girls-doing-cute-things with creative jokes, funny lines, and on top of that, packed with INFORMATION. If you like moe-blob, you would enjoy this much more than you would normally do with other moe-blob animes. The characters are well-written, and their dynamics are so fun. The anime starts with two characters: blue-hair (Shima Rin) and pink-hair (Nadeshiko). And you know the color-coded personalities, blue-hair = stoic, calm, perfer alone; while pink-hair=energetic,social,furball of sunshine… Blue-hair just seems to know what she’s doing - sh…

Probably like a thousand other people in the world, this anime got me into Camping, first year I was out almost all year long except when we have 5m of snow. But the anime is peak hobby slice of life, all the characters are funny, the camping is fun and actually real product are used and they actually teach you of how to camp. You will mostly follow Rin on her trips around the country on her little moped exploring land marks and do some relaxing camping. Nadeshiko is the second main character, you will follow her as she learn to camp and gathering camping equipment, sometimes going out with Rin and sometimes going out with her club members. You will watch her grow and learn how to become a better camper. You will love this if you like cute, relaxing and well written characters.

Yuru Camp was about the camping experience of 5 high school girls: the cute, the introvert, the idiot, the troll and the prankster. Though don't be fooled for neither is the story boring or the cast chemistry cliche. The show also solved the ultimate conundrum that had existed ever since the concept of camping was created: "How do I enjoy camping without ever leaving comfort of my home?" By camping experience, it delivered the full package of the girls researching camp sites, shopping for camping equipment, doing part time job for money to buy said equipment, actually travelling to the camp sites, cooking camping meals, (mostly) enjoying the meals, sleeping in tents and going home. Exams and the aforementioned part time jobs were necessities to bring life to the characters, but never sta…

Laid-Back Camp is a nice, slow-paced show that gives folks like myself who are anxious a much-needed break—a chance to stop for 24 minutes and just breathe. If you want action-packed scenes or exquisite art and animation, I wouldn't recommend this series. That's not what it's meant to be. This is the excellent show to watch if you want to feel like you have a buddy who loves mountains gently taking your hand and showing you the basics of camping, with funny jokes and unexpectedly useful recommendations. The tone is serene, the music is relaxing, and the friendships seem real. It's the kind of anime that makes you appreciate the quiet times in life, which is something we all need sometimes.

I don't consider myself to be a fan of slice of life anime, but this was one of the most enjoyable watches I've had as of recently. I watched this anime over a year ago at this point, but it's one of the most memorable slice of life animes I've had the pleasure of watching. Definitely a step up from garbage like Aho Girl. The characters are interesting, even if some may follow a certain trope, and they all work together seamlessly. The story was comprehensive and even a bit touching at times, the characters all have their own struggles and lives that makes the time they spend together so much more impactful. As of now, this might be my favorite slice of life ever. It's a close race between this and Lucky Star, but both have such undeniable charm; love and effort is sprinkled in almost eve…

This show perfectly embodies the slice of life genre. I adore the laid-back and leisurely feel of each episode, along with the relaxed demeanor of the girls living in the Japanese countryside. The anime provides a highly realistic depiction of rural Japan, showcasing its isolation and sparse population, which can make it seem almost desolate with limited activities. However, the area's stunning natural beauty compensates for this, offering those who embrace it new and valuable perspectives on life. I appreciate that all five girls in the series are very active, continuously seeking to try new things and learn, despite their different personalities. They are always kind to one another and accept each other for who they are. Additionally, they work hard to fund their camping adventures. The…

Sometimes when doing reviews, I mark them as "mixed feelings" even though I have strong feelings one way or another, because I know other people might like the anime I'm reviewing. In this case, my feelings are truly mixed. I really don't know how to review this. But, because I can't keep my mouth shut, even when I should, I'll try anyway. This anime is rated pretty highly on MAL. And, to be honest, I don't understand why. Now, this may be a fault of mine, but I'll explore that in a bit. This anime is about a bunch of girls who like camping, and then go camping, sometimes even with each other. We start with a character Rin who likes to go solo camping, and doesn't like going with other people, and a high school club of girls who also like to go camping, and as the series progresses, the…

Yuru Camp/Laid-Back camp is a very relaxing and an almost conflict free anime without having a single stress bone getting rattled. The first season of Yuru Camp is a general introduction to the characters and camping in general, the anime being focused around Nadeshiko and Rin. The camping times are very relaxing and is accompanied by the beautiful scenery surrounding the camp, the calming music being played, the general relaxing noise of the area, and the food being cooked(this is the climax of every camping arc). The overall art of the anime is really great, the characters design are unique in more ways than one and although the animation is a bit choppy, it's saved by how beautiful the surrounding area usually looks, almost like a Bob Ross painting at times but it still blends in nice…

Laid-Back Camp offers a calming and relaxing atmosphere. The soft visual design and beautiful natural views create a refreshing experience. This anime is detailed in depicting various aspects of camping, including equipment, preparation, and techniques, providing useful education about camping activities, which enhances its appeal. Characters like Rin and Nadeshiko have strong, lovable personalities, and their dynamics make them easy to connect with. The interactions between the main characters and supporting characters, such as Chiaki and Aoi, add depth to the story. The anime employs light and subtle humor, which fits perfectly into its relaxed vibe. The fun and comedic situations that arise from character interactions and everyday events bring a smile without inducing stress. The soun…

Camping but now cute anime In a long age of cute girl doing cute things we are now doing the camping, we have energetic girls who like eating and they will continue to do shenanigans while camping and it is gonna be cute. And the pacing is going to be so relaxing that I'm gonna use it as a sleeping aid before I go to sleep. not in a it's boring way, but just in it's so relaxing and there is not conflict. It's more about figuring camping out and I kind of want to came after watching it because it makes it look so fun and cute. And the cast has a nice chemistry with each other. They are not all initiated chaotic. Some of them are more introverted and wanted to do things solo and that's alright. It's just relaxing and beautiful Camping Show I mean the backgrounds look like they have been t…

Wacthed the entire show including season 2 and is still watching season 3. I can say that this anime is pretty good. The backgrounds are pretty, it's relaxing. There's tons of details and shows alot of cool facts for camping. nothing always go the way the characters want but that's just how life works. oh yeah, there lots of food shots as well, if you're into that. so unless you have shounen brainrot/ are a MHA fan, you'll definitely like this anime. It's just a feel good show with endearing characters, nice food shots, pretty backgrounds, and alot of detail put into it. i definitely recommend the movie and next seasons. It's not ground breaking nor is it a master piece. But there was obviously care and effort put into it. 8/10

Yuru Camp is one of those animes that make you want to do what the characters do, in this case, camping. I loved the relaxed feeling it had, it's a nice anime to watch if wanting to relax or just disconnect and enjoy some time. I also liked the way the food is showed, it looked so delicious! I also liked the way some things are presented and that it teaches some basic things aboout camping. I also want to say that the places and landscape shown in the anime are gorgeous: the streets; mountains; shops; etc. I definitively recommend watching this if you have free time and feel like watching a drama-free anime.

This is magnificent, the intentions when creating this work are visible. Every tiny detail is surprisingly relaxing and conforting, constantly welcoming those feelings. I feel like a member of the outdoor activities group along with the characters. It was so welcoming that I was excited for their next camping trips. However, the anime awakened my desire to have a camping experience, but thinking about it is crazy since it was not an interesting activity in my eyes. For those who like something cute or funny, it will be a direct hit, serving as a great option, since the aesthetics deliver a cute approach. Under a comedic aspect, it is not at all forced or exagerated, experiencing all the episodes you will end with a splendid smile on your face, in sight of sincerlly funny jokes, I will alwa…

Yuru Camp, one of those shows that makes me really mad about my seldom being able to get into anything from the slice-of-life genre. Because this show is absolutely perfect, and it really nails everything that it's committed to showing and excels in the areas that it’s supposed to. I have literally nothing to complain about. You can tell this series comes from a place of passion, both from the original mangaka, Afro, and the team behind the adaptation, voice actors, animators, etc... The quality never drops, and almost every episode has something unique to portray that I can’t say you could find anywhere else. The medium is also well utilized whenever any outdoor scene is featured, wonderfully capturing the essence of the cold air, comforting soundscape, and the beauty of nature, even th…

Yurukyan is the most relaxing anime I have ever seen. This anime provides such a unique and calming experience to the viewer, making it very hard to dislike. The atmosphere, the art, the music, and the characters are all wonderful, with a very slow pace that fits it well. The humour is also not over the top, adding to the calming effect this series has. This series has a charm that will reignite plenty of people's passion in the outdoors and camping, as well as provide a welcoming experience to those who are new to anime as well. Even to those that aren't interested in camping and the outdoors, This series is still one that I couldn't recommend enough.

After a long day of work, school, or whatever grind happened, nothing beats turning off your brain and relaxing. Maybe you took a hot bath or shower. After that you cooked a nice meal and are now about to sit down to enjoy the rest of the night. At this point your brain is mush. No more thinking wants to be done. You just want to be cozy and relaxed. Laid-Back Camp is the perfect show to go along with anyone who likes feeling this way. If there were ever any days I had stress or anxiety after work or school. By the time I went to bed after watching this show, it had either gone away or been forgotten until the next day. The atmosphere this anime creates makes you feel calm and like the title says ‘laid-back’. When the characters are wrapped in blankets around the fire enjoying food, the f…

CGDCT is by far my favorite genre simply because of this. The pacing was amazing, and the story was so cute. This became a show that I didn't want to end because I would watch an episode after a really stressful day or just when I needed to unwind from the world. The characters and dry-ish humor were relatable, and everything about it was just amazing. Really recommend this anime if you need a break from action and drama. The only gripe I have is that Season 2 isn't dubbed and this is one of the animes that I would recommend watching dubbed because the English I believe is by far funnier.

It is hate to hard on Yuru Camp. In general, CGDCT animes are pretty good. I will reference Bocchi. Both Nadeshiko and Gotou have pink hair, yet both of them cannot be different. Rin and Ryo, the blue-haired girls, are very similar though. It is quite cool seeing similarities between Yuru Camp, with both of them having lone girls finding a group of people and hanging out. Similar to K-On as well! Yui and Nadeshiko share so much of the same vibes. But yeah despite the similarities, Yuru Camp is about, you guessed it, camping! The story is about these girls who go on frequent camping trips. It documents 90% of the good of camping. It does not document the bad parts about camping either as much lol, which makes a ton of sense. There are a few things. First off, OMG the way they portray…
