Non Non Biyori

Non Non Biyori

Introduction

Hotaru Ichijou's lifestyle completely changes when she leaves Tokyo and moves with her family to the isolated Asahigaoka village. Her new school has only five students including herself, all sharing a single classroom regardless of grade level. There are no convenience stores in the area, and it can take up to two hours for a bus to arrive. Nevertheless, Hotaru finds herself captivated by the countryside's charm thanks to her four unique schoolmates with whom she quickly forms a genuine bond. The most colorful of them is Renge Miyauchi, a first-grader who is often perceptive despite her age. However, no less intriguing are the three Koshigaya siblings: the quiet oldest brother Suguru, the petite older sister Komari, and the prankish youngest sister Natsumi. Having someone from the city join their cheerful little group enlivens the ordinary days in Asahigaoka. Not only does Hotaru bring firsthand knowledge from the alluring outside world, but her fresh outlook on life welcomes a blossom of change to their usual routine. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

It is a essential gives you the essence of what slice of life genre is it accomplish what it want to accomplished it may have been not the greatest story or not the cutest anime or not the exciting but as any person who likes light hearted story and wholesome it is a very enjoyable experience as for my experience as i have watched many anime it tends to slip out and it feels tedious and all n all it really mentally consume so much so time to time i feel to try something new as this anime is very new experience i like the wholesome nature and it was fun watch that i didn't have to have the feeling of finishing it quickly but slowly enjoying it has earthy tone and makes me remember the time when i visit my parents home village like their is nothing much to do but it still feels like new ever…

Non Non Biyori is an Iyashikei series about 4 girls living in rural Japan. I do believe that Non Non Biyori very much succeeds at being an Iyashikei due to factors such as its simple plot, likeable characters, funny moments, and beautiful scenery. As aforementioned, the plot is a simple slice-of-life premise about 4 girls living their life in rural Japan. There's really no high-stakes, no deep storytelling, moral dilemmas; or anything of that sort. Whilst some people may find this to be boring, I think that this honestly is to the benefit of the show. Rather than keeping you on the edge of your seat, each episode of Non Non Biyori instead helps you sink lower into your seat as you chuckle at the antics of the characters and whatever simple, yet oddly entertaining things, they're getting…

Nyanpasu~~~~ Modern anime alongside modern media feel vary fast, due to a plethora of reason attention spans are dropping it seems collectively as a species we have lost interest in the slow parts of life and seem to render them off. This show is a break from all this, what happens in the show? What is its hook? hows the drama? these kinds of questions seem sharp when pointed at this show. what happens? moe happens, and its perfect. and you NEED to watch it! As a self proclaimed conousour of CGDCT ive seen many concepts, girls playing music, girls in tanks, girls that are gun?!? (ill review it eventually) never once have i seen a concept as plain as this one, a girl moves to the country. Thats all we get, no niches to incite. Even with this it has been one of the most entertaining Sol Ive…

Non Non Biyori (lit. Non Non Weather), is a slice of life and a comedy anime that I would easily recommend to both young and older viewers. From the very first episode on to the end of season two, viewer’s interest remains captivated and soothed through the portrayal of pristine environments, thoroughly enjoyable and quirky adventures of its characters, and a calming soundtrack. There is much charm to the serene and slowly paced storyline, which is dynamically complemented by the incremented character development of a whimsical cast. Thus, if you wish to relax, laugh, and enjoy life; I couldn’t recommend this anime enough. Story: 8/10 The story is fitting of the (SOL) genre, and has high rewatch value. Twenty minute-long episodes are segmented such that each new day in the countryside vi…

English This review compiles all seasons. It's interesting how Non Non Biyori creates a simplistic, banal, and human atmosphere. By focusing on greener environments with ambient sounds, it creates moments that not only resonate with humanity but also bring us closer to rural life, giving us the feeling of being with humans, not characters. The characters' interaction with this environment is what makes it special. Being in the countryside may be a limited space, but it's still possible to improvise in certain ways. Natsumi has a creativity that can transform any event into something fun. Renge, being the archetype of a child, can find beauty in the smallest details. Hotaru, who finds herself in a limited environment, can see value in the simplicity of the countryside because of her frie…

Biyori is exactly what it says on the tin. It's a cute slice of life adventure series with a small class of students which get up to typical slice of life shenanigans. Take a few students and an irresponsible homeroom teacher, and you're set for a pretty decent show. The characters bounce off of each other from time to time, but I feel there could have been some more interesting character interactions than the ones that are frequented in the show. Regardless, the humor hits pretty well, it's surprisingly relatable some of the times for what is supposed to be some primary school students qualms about life. The art is nice, the landscapes are very pretty and the characters are drawn well. The setting of the idyllic countryside is a comforting locale for the aforementioned shenanigans that…

This is one of those I had on the ‘must watch’ list for years, and finally got around to it. The iyakishei genre is one of my favorite, and the opening scenes are breathtaking, the music is pleasant and everything about the town and the fields; the peaceful serenity of the everyday in the countryside of Japan is exactly a place you want to be. Non Non Biyori is one of the best known in this genre and is widely loved… So why after such a promising start do I think this show is so dull and overrated? I’m basically going to complain about everything I didn’t like about the anime, and make it sound a lot worse than it actually is… but I feel like I need to justify such a mid rating and explain something that’s been bugging me. It has a great opening song, which is very inspiring, but everyth…

A girl who moves from grandiose and bustling Tokyo to a quiet and simple village in the countryside. With the contrast between mega-buildings in the capital and the hills and trees in a city far from everything, between overcrowded stations and intersections and signs signaling the crossing of cows on the road. This is the life of Houtaro, a child who undergoes a sudden change due to his father's workplace transfer: from megalopolis Tokyo to rural Asahigaoka. Non Non Biyori appears to be just another typical slice of life anime with cute girls doing cute things, and maybe it really is. However, there is a beauty behind the show. I have a deep appreciation for slice of life shows. It is relatively easy to win over viewers with fantasy shows, full of superpowers, with a vast world of adve…

Non Non Biyori follow the idyllic lives of Hotaru, Komari, Natsumi, and Renge, a group of friends aged 7 to 14 and their little adventures in the rural paradise of Asahigaoka. The show is very episodic in nature and you can pretty much watch in any order you like. I think it’s very hard to add anything new when talking about this, for two reasons. First, everybody already watched this. Second, there’s not that much to talk about. It’s a very well established formula at this point. A group of sweet, endearing characters living the best time of their lives in the Japanese countryside. Non Non is just better than most at it. The plots are not what makes this special though. You’ll go through all the same stuff; fireworks, melon and a hot summer, a beach episode, a school festival episode and…

First, let's start with my view at the beginning of seeing this anime, well I think the story is not quality and boring (lol because it's a relaxed genre so this can't be blamed by anybody), the initial opening of the first episode was spoiled with graphics and rural views that were truly natural as if I was there. the anisong opening made me excited, it fits perfectly with their steady and easy-going storyline, even the ending anisong is not playing around or not just carelessly it makes my heart cool. overall i enjoyed it all, my initial thought wasted and i feel guilty for my initial view, so if there is anyone like me who saw his views as I probably saw in the first episode then the impression will be the same as mine.

I haven't written a single review here before this one. I just found it impossible to keep all those things to myself. And I'll do my best to save your time reading it. I marked this anime 10/10. And for a good reason. Other people here have done a great job describing the effect of music or art, but I'll just go for the overall effect. And it's astounding. Non Non Biyori (as well as its sequels) is a time machine. It transports your soul into the time when the world seemed an endless selection of futures. When enjoyment and happiness could be found in the smallest of things. In a word, it makes you relive yourself as a child. It brings all the emotions back. It seemed like you have abandoned all those things when you grew up. And there’s the cynicism of being a grown-up that has to p…

Reviews in 100 words or less: Non non Biyori perfectly captures the little quirky moments that comes from everyday country life. Everything is done to perfect detail: the day to day events, the way of life, the sounds, the scenery, even the color scheme just feels right on point. But despite the drab, boring atmosphere, the writers are so talented that they make the show have its own laugh out loud moments. The show masters situational comedy, and really is good at playing upon your expectations. A great example of how comedy doesn't need to be character driven, but rather can be derived from literally anything.

This is the sort of anime you watch when you finally get some free time after a whole day of tedious homework, it's just so relaxing. I imagine that if someone were to watch the story thinking it's gonna be dramatic or intense, then they wouldn't like it much. But in many ways that's one of the best things about the anime, though there are interesting plot shifts, character arcs, there is nothing that's too overdramatic in the show and that makes it quite enjoyable for light-hearted viewing. The show manages to be realistic, and still make every episode exciting with beautiful artwork along with it. All the characters in the anime, even besides the main 4 are well written for the anime. The plot might be the only thing that the show doesn't give too much importance to. Every episode is ba…

Before having seen this masterpiece I had never managed to both complete and thoroughly enjoy a true SOL. I mean of course there are more than plenty of cute girls doing cute things anime, but if there is a gold standard, its this. This anime has so many strengths. But I would have to say its greatest is its simplicity. Giving us characters that quickly become endearing to us because of how much joy they find in living their lives the way they do. This is one of those anime you can kick back and relax to, a comfy feeling that it otherwise hard to find. Each one of the main girls has their quirks that make you wish you could be their friends, just enjoying the life they have. I feel as though it because of non non biyori that my anime taste changed so drastically and quickly. I have fallen…

*Spoiler warning!* Story/Plot 7/10 - The plot basically was just all the kids doing everyday things, in a weirdly-enjoyable way! They live in a VERY small town, so there isn't that many "super" exciting things that go on. But, they make the best of it and have as much fun as possible! I feel like this is the type of anime you would watch while doing something like working on homework, or if your bored and don't know what else to watch! Plot is still pretty good though! Art/Animation 7/10 - The art and animation isn't really anything special. I'm pretty sure I saw better animation in other anime that came out in 2013 (The year Non Non Biyori came out) but, it's pretty typical. Not great, not terrible. It's just average for the time. Oh, and the animation is smooth I guess. Sound 6/10 -…

I absolutely love this show. There is almost zero conflict, but there is something so comforting about watching it. I loved this show, but if you are mostly into drama or action I wouldn't recommend it. Honestly I got sadness (that I finished it, not that the ending is sad) nearly on the level that I did from ATLA or k-on when I finished it (and those are two out of the three shows I've ever given a 10 to), so that should speak for how much I loved it. It's basically just cute girls doing cute things in the countryside, which is something I really like watching if it is done well. I've seen my fair share of bad moe shows, and this is not one,

[TL;DR: Cute, relaxing country fun times. Kids being kids out in the boonies. Incredible nature stills and great depictions of life in the countryside. If you are tired of all the action, violence and melodrama of other anime, give this one a chance!] ***This review is for the ENTIRE Non Non Biyori franchise. No spoilers!*** Slice-of-life, as a genre, is the celebration of the mundane. The simple, everyday things we all do and take for granted without a second thought. However, one person's mundane can be quite different than someone else's! City life is convenient, most everything you'll ever need is either a short walk or bus/metro ride away, or can be delivered right to your doorstep. Everything is fast, high energy with throngs of people all hurrying somewhere. In contrast, country…

This show feels like a love letter to the Japanese countryside. Great SoL show. It's the perfect kind of show when you want to watch something light-hearted and relaxing, same sort of vein as yuru camp. It's exactly the kind of characters and comedy you'd expect and it's well done. Good jokes, entertaining characters, funny situations. What really sets it apart is the country setting. There are plenty of moments where we're just looking at landscapes and scenic shots of the country, and there are a lot of shots of the action where the director chose to zoom out from the characters in order for us to really take in the beauty of their surroundings. I've been watching it before going to bed and it's perfect for getting my mind off of work or anything else. Great combinations of endeari…

Technically this will be my first review after I understand the default language of the site But anyway Even though it was old this was an anime that I certainly wanted to see earlier but I usually avoid short animes because they end up too fast About the points Story: 8 It's simple and that's good. You follow all the progress and some events of those students during the 4 seasons, whether at school, at home, or in the field, Even making comparisons with the city in contrast to country life (but nothing so reflective) from this premise it is easy to understand the moments and what the characters think and act before them, each being well used Art: 8 Without a doubt it is one of the best things here Character design is cool But the highlight goes to the environment itself Whether on a…
