Assassins Pride

Assassins Pride

Introduction

On the brink of extinction, mankind has downsized and now solely resides in the city-state of Flandore, living in cities encased by glass domes. Beyond the domes exist vicious lycanthropes who thrive in the darkness; among the citizens inside, a clear distinction between the nobility and commoners is in place. The blood of nobles enables them to utilize mana, granting them abilities that exceed human limits and greatly assist them in defeating lycanthropes. Already 13 years of age, noble Melida Angel has yet to manifest her mana, and attends an elite academy where she is mistreated for her lack thereof. In order to help her, Kufa Vampir is ordered by the Angel family to become Melida's tutor. While Kufa seems to be a mere mentor, an ulterior motive lurks behind his job—he is to assassinate her if he confirms that she does not possess mana. Kufa's investigation eventually leads him to determine he must eliminate Melida. However, Kufa is struck by her unwavering determination, spirit, and belief in herself when he witnesses her in a fight, choosing instead to offer a way she can manifest her magic. As Melida learns to use mana with the help of Kufa's teachings, Kufa forsakes his mission and jeopardizes everything to keep his discovery of Melida unknown to the Angel family and his own guild. However, both Kufa and Melida will soon realize that hiding their secret will not be the only challenge they face, as unforeseen trouble is waiting just around the corner. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

Characters were meh. The worst one easily being Elise, Melida the female MC cousin. Girl is a doormat with no backbone at all she clearly despises being treated differently than her peers, but it takes Melida to beating her in a fight before she grows a spine and even then, it’s more a of Melida moment than it is for Elise. The plot is just as bad, just your I must get stronger to be able to stand by my more talented family member side and be worth something to my family archetype, not any bit interesting. Can’t believe I finished watching this anime and even started the manga I must be outta my mind.

I actually dropped this series when it was airing and was on its 3rd episode, only to finish it years later, the series starts off giving you "high quality" production that you can follow on weekly basis. Good artwork, aura farming MC, decent voice actors. Then... The story progression makes literally no sense. One moment we're dealing with class discrimination and the brutal reality of a mana-based caste system, the next we're... having a tournament arc? No wait, now it's a school festival? Hold on, there's a conspiracy involving... actually, I'm not even sure what the conspiracy was about because the show certainly didn't feel obligated to explain it. The narrative structure has the consistency of a fever dream written by someone who kept forgetting what they wrote in the previous s…

While the art is pretty good it was genuinely the hardest watch I've had in a long time because random things kept happening and I was supposed to take them seriously. The ages are weird and the story couldn't completely focus on one thing that made sense. I can usually handle unoriginal anime but this was on another level. This is one of the few anime that might actually be a waste of time. It's not even funny bad it's just bad and that's coming from someone that can give the benefit of doubt. I only gave it a 2 because I watched it for the opening and art. If you make it halfway through this I promise it does not get any better. Tldr: It's bad and the opening song + art got it a 2

I tell this simply, this is one of the worst anime that i have ever seen At first, the start was a little interesting but at the end, the story development was very simple and poorly done, it feels like a disorganized story without much of any special things that try to use interesting topics that finally don't work The characters are the most simple of the simple things, i suposse that the protagonist is nice but finally, she doesn't have any interesting thing The production is not bad but it doesn't stand out at all, its only ok Really a dissapointment, i dont recommend this in the slightest

History/Narrative - 4 Easily boring, it doesn't keep me wanting to see the rest of the story, there is potential but it is poorly explored. Characters and Development - 5 Some are horrible clichés and others are poorly developed to the point of being irritating. There is practically no chemistry in relationships. Animation and Art - 6 It's nothing new or innovative, but the art is pleasant, the scenarios are simple and the animation, even though it's very static, provides a bit of animation in the fights. The designs of certain characters are a bit piggy and very cliché aesthetically speaking. Soundtrack and sound effects - 5 The basics and the minimum that is expected from an anime with this proposal, the soundtrack is nice but nothing remarkable. Basic sound effects but nothing innova…

This anime makes me feel incredibly sad cuz it could actually have been pretty good, the ideas are all there, but they fail miserably on the delivery. Every single character either loves or eventually adores the main 2, no matter what, in fact, even the characters that feel more antagonistic eventually get charmed, this is so serious that after the first time it happens you just know what you're in for. The "villains" and overall antagonists cannot be sided with on a sane mind, they are so 1 dimensional that they feel like "bad for the sake of being bad". The animation is pretty good (at least the creative direction is on point) but it falls flat on its face a lot, the girls outfits feel straight out of an ecchi when they really should not, and the MC outfit is so boring it makes me thi…

Not that I hate this anime, but I gotta say it got me hooked for some reason. (Sorry for my bad English it's not my main language) Characters: 6/10 The design is great, other than the sensei looking like low budget Kirito (everybody says this so I don't think I need to explain further) Animation: 4/10 It was good at the start, then gets janky on the very few last episodes (specially the goofy fighting in EP 12) Story: 8/10 Now this actually made me stay and not drop this anime, the story is somehow interesting and little ol me wanting more will automatically click the next episode button. Not a long review because I don't really review anime that much lol. Over all, if you want to watch the anime, go ahead. But for me it's a meh. Not really good enough to satisfy me and found my sel…

An OK series, in my opinion, it's like a fairy tale story the difference is our Mc's personalities and their situations, the art style, and animation are good, the story sometimes feels boring and the story is slow-paced. The characters are decent, not much development of other characters except our female MC. The world is interesting but not any special. What I liked about this series is the art style and animation improved the show a lot. I recommend it to those who like some romance and magic system concepts. It's a lot like a fairy tale. The story could have been better. I give it 5/10.

tl;dr: An anime full of concepts with lot of potential in terms of the world and characters but executed bafflingly badly. This anime is essentially an adaptation of four volumes of a light novel series. What’s strange is that it isn’t an adaptation of the first four. Rather, it adapts the first two, then the fifth, and then the third. There’s also a filler like episode in there that I’m not entirely sure of the origin of, so it’s either from some short story I can’t find or is anime original. Still, that’s beside the point, which is that this adapts the light novel series in a way that at first glance doesn’t seem to make any sense, as none of these volume are side stories or anything like that. Rather, based on what I can gather from skimming, they seem to be chronological with plot and…

tl;dr: If you're someone that likes overpowered main characters, I suggest you try this out! It's a magical anime that takes place in a fictional city and is a typical 12 episode long series so it's not too long. Watch a couple episodes and see if you like it. On to my actual review now, Assassins Pride is a story about a powerful soldier named Kufa who mentors a girl without magic from a well-known family. In this world, magic ability represents the higher class standing of society which this girl, named Melida, is from. Kufa, who normally slays monsters and deals with other matters around the higher class society, has a job of not only mentoring Melida but seeing if she has the capability for magic also. I think the story was quite enjoyable. I've watched a lot of these overpowered ma…

Assasin's Pride is a wasted opportunity . The story could have been good but the studio that made this anime was an unprofessional one that treated it poorly making a lot of visual errors that are irritating or lip syncs that are way off and visible from outer space. Some fights are skipped entirely within the anime. The lack of buget can be easily noticed during the episodes. This anime doe…

Honest review here. The anime is overall very generic and doesn't offer a lot but, if you willing to watch, it will give you a very different feeling not like the other generic Anime. The biggest thing this anime has the world aesthetic, art and music. In this world they living in a chandelier like place where the cities are the lightbulbs beacuse there is permanent darkness in the world. The one city most things happen has such a warming and beautiful look. The music gives it an extra empathy. The opening music and the visuals are also really well made but the one thing thing gets me every time is the outro music. The outro music is the best anime music I have ever heard, if you can look into it more in depth not thinking about the Anime but only the music and the visuals the outro pro…

The story was fine (6). Not really about assassins but fantasy action. Some episodes don't contribute to the story, but it gives purpose for the action and character interactions. The art is good, nothing unseen or ground breaking but it does the job. I like the references to fairy tales, they where not important, but a nice touch. Music was good or unnoticeable which happens a lot in anime and I don't think it's bad. Some monster voice acting I feel didn't fit the monsters and was funny at moments. There is a powerful and smart main character. The others have some interesting aspects about them, but I won't go into details. Characters seem human and the they change over course of the episodes. Overall a 8, I really enjoyed this anime. This isn't related to the anime itself: I dislike th…

A man is sent to work alongside the daughter of a noble, and if she is not up to the task, he is to kill her. As a young but hardened assassin, who has been fighting monsters since a tween. Of course, we quickly see this boy basically move more towards the falling in love/lust with this girl, but showing it in how he teaches her how to protect herself, how e covers up the way she has no mana by artificially inserting(something many seem is unaware can happen somehow), and the girl starts going from zero to hero basically. Chuck in wrangling for the future head of the noble house, jealous onlookers, a possible revolution all rushed into 12 episodes and the struggle to be accepted by her own family, I wanted this to be good. Things just seemed to come to easy ability-wise, the characters…

If you're considering this anime in 2021, it's nowhere near as bad as the ratings put it off as in my opinion. Nothing about this deserves a 2 out of 10 and it's honestly a decent average anime if you just accept it for what it is. Is it revolutionary? heck no but it's not a terrible entry in the "average battle fantasy of the season" series. If there's anything this show does seriously wrong it's not shipping Kufa and Rosetti harder for their obvious good match lol. If you want a series that perfects this trite formula to immense enjoyment, The Misfit of Demon King Academy is a perfect example of re-using these same tropes but executing them quite wonderfully. If there's a real problem with these "average battle fantasy of the season" shows, it's that they just don't do anything unexpec…

As a light novel reader, this is one of my favourite series. However, the anime completely butchers it. I plan to make this review short. I don't know which genius thought they should rush the entire adaptation, trying to cover 10 volumes of content, and skipping over 3 important volumes, as well as rushing an entire fight that took span over a couple of chapters in less than 10 minutes in an episode. This was one of the most terrible adaptations I have ever seen, and the manga is far better of an adaptation if you give it a try. It upsets me how many attack the series just cause they feel the presence of an underage romance, which is all because of the fault of the adaptation. It is clear in the light novels, that there is no real romance between them, but rather both Kufa and Melida are…

A mixed bag this one. The main strong points are an interesting setting, although it doesn't have a noticeable impact on the plot, and a mostly excellent and atmospheric art style. The characters themselves are a major weakness (and i'm talking low-quality Twilight fanfiction), the story is cliched and there really isn't a lot in the way of character development. That said, I rather liked it. A lot of the negative attention Assassin's Pride has drawn stems from the age gap between him (Apparently he's 17, although some exposition later on suggests he's actually 19) and her (13 at the start of the story). Personally I find it hard to get exercised over a few years and the relationship here is rather sweet and chaste: this is not fan-service central and there is no ecchi. Another primary…

This is by far the worst anime series I have ever seen, but it very far from being the least enjoyable! Let's start out with the good. The story isn't awful, and if everything else was better than you might be able to watch an anime with this story and enjoy it because it was actually decent. There were some fun mysteries too, one moment that actually made me feel something other than amusement, and the music and artwork are average. The bad: everything else. THIS SHOW IS SO BAD!!!!!! I LOVE IT!!!! I think mother's basement's review on youtube sums up what I feel about this series. It had me rolling in laughter, not because it makes funny jokes but because there were just some super cliche and stupid moments. The characters are stupid and bad, their interactions are hilariously awful, th…

Fun! Its not super emotional, but it's a fun world to dip into and the romance aspect is adorable and chivalrous! I do hope there is a second season! I thought the age of the main character was a lot older than 13, easily maybe should have aged her up to 15 AT LEAST for some of the content. But hey, different culture, different world. It's your choice to take it for what it is, but i just aged her up in my head the whole time and was fine with it haha. I liked the personality of the main male protagonist and enjoyed the interesting twist and backstory associated with him. The storyline got a little wonky lol and the climax at the end was a little scattered and underwhelming, but still rrcommend a watch!

First of all, this review is being translated, so I apologize for the errors. Universe: (2/10): when you read the f***ing synopsis, the first paragraph already shows a lot about the universe where the anime will take place. Such as, people living in cities inside glass domes, which are accessed via a train that connects each dome, outside these domes live evil monsters that are called "insert a monster with a strange name here" and in this terrible and evil world , children (yes children, not young people or competent adults, but children) of 7 years, usually awaken the use of mana in their bodies, this mana allows the user (CHILD) to use one of the most diverse classes, such as paladin, samurai , gladiator, archer and among other classes that the anime did not want to show. The problem h…
