"I wanna watch a stupid anime that soothes my 'wanna watch a shitty show and just pass the time' " - Have you ever had that feeling?
If you did than this anime is perfect for you!
It's a very stupid anime, with a meh plot, okay artstyle and very bad pacing.
BUT! thats whats so good about it! "did u think i would die just because you killed me" isnt that a superbly absurd line?
you get so many more superbly absurd lines like that, so it becomes very amusing
So to make a summary:
Plot - 4/10
Art - 5/10
Plot armor - 159/10
amusement meter - out of this world
I highly recommend this anime if you have some free time, want to turn off your brain and be amused and most of all if you just want to chill and watch some absurdly stupid anime
10/10

I only just started the series and read KADOKAWA.
A few stories backed by KADOKAWA have interested and surprised me.
The start did feel interesting but then it turned out ridiculously funny.
I thought the MC was too overpowered and then it started to make sense.
Really interesting how it developed throughout the show.
It felt good to figure out some plots of the story even if I had some doubts.
It's kind of weird on the Demon Lord's family side though.
He really got attached like some kind of child, it was funny.
The sweet and endearing moments also got me hoping for more.
Ah, and even if the MC is like the strongest, the action was still exciting in it's own way.

a show for people not married to the idea that every show needs to make complete sense. anos is invulnerable in every way that matters, so the resolution to any event if for him to dominate the opponent. while fundamentally a cheat skill reincarnation type story, something akin to the weakest crest anime, by having a stronger lead, it manages to turn a nearly surefire to produce slop recipe into a palatable show that fits 3 story arcs in a single season, with only a little bit of obvious cramming near the enc.
overall the animation, characters, and story are average, but with enough intrigue and entertainment value to earn it some extra points. 7/10. its all downhill from here though.

Within anime certain shows like Seraph of the End are sometimes hindered by anime conventions, most commonly taking place in a school. This is most likely due to, what I refer as the myth of the target audience, because as we all know a teenagers only wants to hear stories happening to other teenagers and thus must take place in a school. And this is alike for The Misfit of Demon King Academy as well.
The basic plot is that 2000 years ago the demon lord, Anos Voldigoad, decided for the good of humanity to made a deal with the human hero Kanon. They would sacrifice their own lives to ensure peace could flourish, additionally 2000 years later that he and Kanon would be resurrected. After the resurrection, Anos comes to a new world where he is enrolled into the demon king academy; A highly h…

ChatGPT recommended this to me when I went looking for a power fantasy anime similar to Solo Leveling. *Theoretically*, this series should be an almost perfect fit for me -- it has a competent protagonist, the aforementioned power fantasy with an overpowered hero, a supporting cast of cute girls, and a mystery-thriller undercurrent as to who's manipulating things behind the scenes. Yet I found this to be fairly mediocre for most of the runtime. This review is an attempt to answer why that is.
There's a LOT of corniness undergirding practically every arc. The first arc involves the two girls, Misha and Sasha, being on bad terms with each other. The big reveal is that this is fake in the typical anime "I love you so much I'll pretend to hate you so you'll forget me" way. They thought they…

Started pretty strong. But the longer it went on the more the storyline started falling apart. I just stopped caring what was happening or even who the different characters were. Honestly, the only reason I got through it is because I liked it in the beginning and I’m stubborn.
Story: not unique
Characters: gave up trying to care about who was who or what they were at any given time.
Art style: the art was fine. One of the better aspects of the show
If you want to watch it, just stop after the first season. Your time would be better spent watching something else.

The only thing that matters about "The Misfit of Demon King Academy" is that it does reveals in the worst way possible. Most shows will basically start with a premise which you can intuitively understand. Then, after you have understood the "norm", the show progresses and reveals something outside that norm to show how impressive something is.
The Misfit of Demon Academy doesn't do any of that. It pulls something out of thin air then tells you "ok please give a shit about this". It tells you "this is cool" and you're just supposed to accept that.
The best example is when a teacher does a magic circle, Anos (the MC) says "ok but its 4x better if you do this". Then he wiggles his fingers around changing the magic circle. The teacher then goes "Oh my God wow". This is where the show's creat…

This show is absurd, question is it is absurd enough?
We have generic demonlord #641 reborn as the most OP of OPs and yada yada yada you know how this goes.
Actually... so does the author of this series. It's clearly a comedy with the OP character dialed up to 13. I mean can you take any of this seriously =
- Born literally one month ago.
- Started talking in that deep male voice right out of the womb.
- You know how the cool character spins a basketball on one finger? He spun a castle.
- Killed someone with his heart beat.
- Copy/pasted Hogwarts down to the owl system and the "mudblood" thing. On purpose, they are not spoofing or parodying it.
I don't think this should count as spoilers since they all happen in episode one... yes really. Are you willing to take it seriously with thi…

Brief overview: It's about this demon lord that is strong and knowledgeable and doesn't do anything with its power.
Review will be based on season 1 to 3
Character 5/10
The characters here would make you go holy fuck this is so bad that is funny. So you have this guy named Anos the main protagonist that is a former Demon King who has been reincarnated. He is so fucking overpowered to the point that he can speak and turns straight towards adulthood after being 2 weeks old. He can also fuck you up and kill you with just his heartbeat alone. You can picture him as Saitama from OPM but has magic that can solve anything. He has everything such as Bitches, power, wealth, and you name it but instead, he chose to live as a modest student with overwhelming power. I don't know why but with this ov…

This show has one of the worst episode ones I have ever seen. After seeing half of the 1st episode, I wanted to turn it off. The fact that he is literally a month old is weird and it's when I had to stop. But after seeing more a little more of the show, they keep bring it up. Why!!! Its already weird enough, stop bringing it up!!!!
The show doesn't make much of an effort of building tension. Things build up almost immediately then drop just as fast. The characters are also boring. The harem of girl are useless, the 2 main girls are pointless after the first few episodes. The main character himself is forgettable. He's just like every other anime protagonist out there.
At times this show can be interesting but at other times it can be boring and predictable.

I don't have much to say about this anime. It doesn't do anything particularly well, but it doesn't do anything particularly poorly either. It's enjoyable enough to have on in the background while you're doing other things, or if you just want to relax and pass the time. The story isn't bad, it's just cliché and predictable. But this doesn't make it bad; it's just fine. I think the best thing about this anime is that its magic system seems to be a bit less cliché and classic than everything else. It gives you the sense that there is some kind of system or method for using magic according to the world's laws.
You will like this anime if:
- You enjoy fantasy anime where the main character is extremely powerful and literally faces no conflict throughout the story.
- You like waifus who are e…

I finished watching Maou Gakuin no Futekigousha today and I believe it's good enough to be recommended. This show is far from being flawless though, but if we consider it through op mc fantasy standards, it's decent.
I'll try to explain down below the pros and cons of this anime.
Pros :
+ The animation itself was enjoyable to watch. nothing too fancy, but the fights felt dynamic, the magic effects were detailed, the animation's quality was above what you can find in the average seasonal anime.
+ Anos is a chad MC, it's fun to watch his adventures and see how he'll manage situations. The rest of the cast is also lovable, but probably too cliché though.
+ The overall vibe from the anime makes it chill to watch, there isn't any cringe scene or fan service moment, it's just action a…

When they said he was so powerful all logic flew out the window they weren't kidding.
I have never seen an anime like this and tbh after reading people's reviews I wasn't sure what to expect, but this turned out to be one of my favorite animes.
I saw a review saying 5/10 for story, idk how this story is a 5/10, it honestly kept me interested till the last episode, it's hard to find a unique series with a story this interesting in such a saturated genre.
I highly recommend this, although I do recognize that some people don't enjoy watching animes with OP MC's because that takes away from the tension.
It is not for everyone, but you never know if this is a hidden gem for you unless you watch a few episodes.

I really wanted to love The Misfit of Demon King Academy: History’s Strongest Demon King Reincarnates and Goes to School with His Descendants (I don’t know why that title is so long)
The anime looks really interesting on the surface. But beneath that its kinda nonsensical and not very interesting.
I like all the characters. I just find the plot itself to not be that interesting. And the villains aren't interesting. So as a result i was not able to get sucked into the story or even really care about the results.
The main character is really cool but they made him too powerful where he can basically do anything including controlling time and death.
At first it kinda felt like they were going for some humor. OP main characters work when its comedy and you're not supposed to take it too s…

It's your typical/generic reincarnation anime with a way too OP character that literally gives Saitama a run for his money. And there's nothing wrong with that.
What gives it a little bump in rating is that it does well in bringing up the other characters and the lore/world building. The animation and color grading is solid for a full season, and has its moments of pretty decent during fights.
7-8 is a good rating. I gave it an 8 because I still remember it and the plot, which is more than I can say about other generic reincarnations/isekai even if I enjoyed them (thinking about you Wiseman's grandchild and Sage with the weakest crest)
All in all it's an anime you can binge in a day if you need the recharge, or take in eps daily without needing to think too much

[Fantastic world building with lots of plot twists. Quite fast-paced yet doesn't feel lacking. Multiple dramas and conflicts that are entertaining with pleasing, happy endings. 10/10]
Sure, this anime belongs to the OP MC trope, but the writing is very unique. The characters, the personalities, the back stories, the pacing, the animation, the world building, the spells - everything was so well done.
Despite being OP, it is very obvious that the MC is not omnipotent, and I love that so much because the fights are so enjoyable nevertheless (even though we have faith that the MC will always win one way or another). Just like a well made drama dynamic, all the fights have their unique beginnings, adequate and reasonable motivations, enough struggles, and even desperation until the fight ends…

For anyone wanting to watch be warned that you'll be watching purely for the MC as there isn't much else to it. This anime honestly went downhill mid-way. This anime has it's charms, it was funny as heck and the MC is loveable. I'm a huge fan of the MC is OP trope but I'm also someone who is greatly influenced by storytelling. If you're like me who loves a good story than this anime isn't for you. The amount of inconstancies was the funniest thing about it, and the plot gets confusing to the point where you might need to write it all out to truly understand what the heck is going on. The characters change backstory so often it's hard to understand where they came from.
They also do a horrible job world building. For example; if the demon lord split the dimensons in four why do we only se…

This anime really only wasted the time that I wanted it to. I didn't love or hate it.
The characters were decent, but very flat. Sasha seemed like she was going to be an Asuka Langley-type character at first, but just acts really soft and out of character a lot. The rest of the characters just kind of did their job to progress the story.
The soundtrack was really nothing to boast. Fitting at best.
The fight scenes were pretty predictable, because if this guy is actually who he says that he is, he is obviously going to win.
The animation is pretty decent. There were a few really cool looking scenes, and not really anything that I didn't like. No heavy CGI, which I'm a big fan of.
But after everything, nothing about this show really stood out to me. I'm probably going to watch season 2…

The Misfit of Demon King Academy features an interesting twist on the classic tropes of overpowered protagonists and battles between human heroes and demon kings. It manages to avoid the pitfall of having a boring main character that uses their world-breaking powers to cover up their lack of a character, and uses it's generally well-rounded cast of characters to form a decent metaphor about racism and classism. On top of that, there's a consistent layer of subtle comedy, well-animated fight scenes and a good deal of world-building.
Story/Writing 8/10
The story, while I personally found that it could've been a bit more engaging in some areas, is pretty well thought out. It spins a tale of a genuinely amazing historic figure not getting the recognition and respect he deserves once he gets r…
