A really good feel good show, that makes various excursions into darker themes, but comes out happy in the end. An unwanted child, ends up with a goofy self-centered and frustrating to watch family, she is suddenly foisted on a teenage ladies man kind of student. He is at a loss at first, but grows and matures into an admirable mother and father to the little girl. The girl spends a lot of time crying for no apparent reason, but she develops out of it, and in the end, she helps her teenage caretaker more than he helps her. Along the way, he is taught responsibility and is forced to grow up. He seems to be a much better parent, towards the end of the series, than his parents were to him, and especially than his grandparents were to his parents. It is a show about changes, growing, maturing,…

It is a beautiful Anime with, a very well-planned storyline.
Characters, despite their age, have great maturity. It's a show crafted very close to real-life situations. Kokoro especially comes out as a great character who handles her demons of the past in the best way. Coming to Yusuzu, her character at times, is adorable, and at the same time few places I found her very annoying too. Exactly what a typical 5-year-old should be like.
The story is very well-rounded and with its heartfelt moments and warmth, this anime can is one of my top recommendations.
Don't expect Romance as its core theme, it has just the right amount of romance. Being an Ideal Slice of Life anime.

This Anime is great. I did not expect that I would like it this much. It´s really entertaining and enjoyable. I usually get bored fast, but this Anime really kept me going. I also often felt emotional which was great. I´m definitely going to rewatch this. There were quite moments when I got mad but it just showed me how much I enjoyed this series. The family makes me feel really comfortable and it´s cute how everyone takes that much care of the little girl (forgot her name). I also really liked the story of miki (not sure if I wrote her name right), I felt so bad for her.

A very cute anime, personally when it comes to realism, I don't think this anime is very realistic when it comes to the situation. One major thing that I realized when I watched the anime when I was a little older was that they really let this 16-17 year old highschool kid who was already struggling with school watch over this 5 year old who was just abandoned by her mother and lost her father. Legit, there are 5 other adults in the house, yet they force a 16 year old to take care of a child without any regard for the child's well being. Yes, Kippei did his best and it worked out, but it was very irresponsible of the adults to allow this. Yuzuyu almost gets hit by a car during the 3rd episode cause Kippei left her alone, and she was getting harassed by a stalker because Kippei left her alo…

I wanted to watch this title since I watched Usagi Drop in 2017 because it was recommended as something similar in any database you go to but I didn’t because I was watching a lot more things. Anyways I finally watched it last year and read the manga last week and I’m very pleased with what I found in them. This review will cover both versions.
The first thing that needs to be clarify about Aishiteruze Baby is that, despite being compared with Usagi Drop, it doesn’t have a father-daughter relationship and instead features a high school playboy that all of a sudden has to take care of his five years old cousin, which is more interesting because it can lead to much more character development.
And it does, throughout the show, Kippei gradually turns from a playboy that does nothing but fool…

A supposed "hidden gem" that should have just been left in the dirt.
To begin with, I want to give my overall opinion on Aishiteruze Baby, before I explain it. I thought the show was fun to watch and had several moments that were decent and was an overall okay anime to watch. But after the extremely anti-climatic ending, it honestly felt like I should've just watched another anime instead.
Story: 4
The story follows the playboy protagonist Kippei who is free from responsibility and living out his high-school days as most of us would have liked. Well, screw you, Kippei! Because your cousin in pre-school Yuzuyu has just arrived and your entire family is shifting responsibility and supervision of her onto you! Kippei has had minor character development as soon as we reached the ending, and…

Aishiteruze Baby encapsulates something what I would call a pastel coloured melancholy. It is a gentle drama that has soft, sad, happy moments blending into a sentimental yet absolutely delightful mixture. The only criticism from me is that the ending of this anime is rather open-ended -- I wish the whole anime was longer in order properly tell the whole story. It felt like it ended too soon.
Story is not only heartfelt, but also nicely told and has a satisfying pace.
Art perhaps does not not suggest the highest budget, but it is easy on the eyes and majority of the characters are, imo, cute, beautiful and have attributes which make them plausible and unique.
Sound is nothing exceptional but both intro and outro really grew on me and everything else fits in nicely.
Most characters are…

Ah just finished anime and manga series. It was really a "bumpy ride"... A lot of up's and down's.
This is my first time writing a review. What can I say about the series for a viewer? Is it worth watching? Will I feel satisfaction after finishing the series?
Let's start with this: anime covers almost all manga except the last chapter. Yes, it is disappointing, to not see the outcome of the series ending but you can read the last chapter. The series was slow-paced in the beginning but in at the end of the series it felt that they were trying to end the series as fast as possible because there was such a build-up of emotions and they shoved it under the rug without completing like taking unriped fruit from the tree. All they needed to do was only ONE EPISODE = one last chapter of the mang…

Once in a while an anime comes along that makes you challenge the way you see the world. Is is strange that this slice of life did that for me? Perhaps, but it did.
Without going into spoilers, early on the show confronted me with my lack of emotional regulation. Over and over my reactions were challenged and corrected. I wanted to be angry at Yuzuyu's mother, I wanted to skin alive the bully girl, I wanted the abusive mother of the little boy character to die in a fire and each time the show handled these stories with nuance, maturity and compassion with an eye to truly solving the problem at hand rather than achieve emotional gratification. I realized how much the premise of "That's a bad person and they should be punished!" has been programmed into my psyche and this anime challenged t…

If you watch this anime now and not back in those days, you might have thought "Is this a lolicon anime?" Or some of you will just assume that it will about a teenage guy liking a child or vice versa. But don't let that kind of mindset take over you so quickly.
When you started the first episode, you will be greeted by a teenage boy, rejecting his responsibilities and is your typical playboy that doesn't take love seriously until he met his cousin, where they found out that the mother left her in their care. The sister obviously knows what kind of a person Kippei is (the teenage boy), so she unanimously decided that Kippei should take care of her starting from that point. He was disappointed a bit since he wont be able to do things that he like.
But after this first meeting with his cou…

The perfect combination between comedy, romance and drama.
It all begins when the protagonist, who is introduced as a carefree and womanizer guy ,becomes responsible for the care of Yuzuyu, a little girl who was left behind by her mother.
All the characters and relationships within the story are well built and wonderful to accompany. As the protagonist clings to Yuzuyu, we see his personality evolve and mature.
In addition to the fun scenes and sweet romantic moments, the work also has tense and dramatic events, bringing the theme Bullying, loneliness, abandonment and domestic violence.
one of the most hearthwarming, touching and real shoujos ever made.

Your typical main character that gets all the pus**. However though popular as he is, he has to go through problem solving life issues. The plot is in depth great however there are 3-4 episodes which are dead boring, other than that there is a lot of life lessons in this anime and it is worth watching. The art could've been better at one point in the series in 2 episodes where it was needed however if you like animes where you get attached and get emotional this is a great example for you to watch.
Just be sure to watch episode by episode, also don't binge it all in one day like I did. It's rare to find a good anime like this.

Truly adorable.
A 3 year old girl's single mummy goes to heaven and nobody wants the poor little girl, but one brave soul steps up, takes her, cares for her and makes her happy. It's so sweet, and it also has a good story and each episode is well thought out.
Things like taking her to buy clothes, splashing in puddles, taking her to preschool, shopping together, deciding what to eat. It's really sweet and makes you feel that maternal feeling that just makes you happy. =3
Give this one a try if you like the sound of it.
Also. Check out Poko's Udon World as well. 2016 anime that's SOOO cute!

******AISHITERUZE BABY****** OVERALL – 7.5
NOTE – Facts I accepted while watching this anime.
1) This anime is a LOW BUDGET anime and hence the QUALITY will be LOW.
2) This anime as a CHILD whose parents are not with her and will be taken CARE by a high school BOY(OUT of many people) due to some circumstances so that story can proceed.
3) This anime as a CHILD as one of the MAIN CHARACTER and hence there will be many SCENES where it will SAD which is later turned into a HAPPY ending
Buy ACCEPTING this facts I could ENJOY a LTTLE more of this anime.
STORY- 2 out of 2.5
It had extraordinary story (means DIFFERNT than the usual ones) and was developed NICELY most of the time by introducing new characters and situations but it did not give ENOUGH TIME for Koroko because it was more focused on…

i didnt have high hopes for this anime because once you see few anime you have seen them all but lucky for me i was wrong because every now and then there is 1 that suprise me and it is this one now.It really open your eyes and makes you to think and to realize how hard life can be and how easy it is to change it completely in a blink of an eye.Being left behind by her mother is very crushing and for a 5 year old kid it only means that that child believes it was hers fault. Its also nice to see other MC who lived his life flirting with girls and and having 0% of responsibility and now is forced to become a father like figure to this child.i loved this anime and i wish that there was more episodes but i am happy with the ending of last episode and i have no complaints. It shows realistic dram…

I felt that this anime had potential to be a truly heartwarming and life opening when they introduced the multiple family dynamics of some of the supporting characters such as Kokoro (Remarriage) and Shouta (domestic violence). However, due to the main storyline being the relationship between a 5yr old girl and (Yuzuyu) and a high schooler boy (Kippei) it felt as a mere shoujo anime without the possibility of being relatable for a mature individual watching. Initially, from the first episode I was sceptical/ nervous and watching with one eye open and mentally ready to drop if it turned into a “Usagi Drop” type of disturbing relationship especially due to Kippie’s womanising ways and repetitive voicing of Yuzuyu’s cuteness. I refuse to ever sit through another morally disturbing plot.

Aishiteruze Baby is an anime that I feel has gone almost unnoticed in the 11 years that it's been around. I've never actually met a single person who's seen this little shoujo. I'd only found out about it a year ago when I wanted to find a shoujo anime that had a male protagonist, and this title showed up, along with Kure-Nai and Natsume Yuujinchou. Since then, I'd held off on the show and hadn't watched it until just a few days ago. What can I say about this series? Well in short, if you haven't seen this anime, I highly recommend that you do so when you have the time. Because it is something that I think any anime fan can really get attached to.
STORY: 10/10
If you've ever heard of an anime called Usagi Drop, then you should know what this story is about. It's essentially the same setup…

Aishiteruze Baby was one bumpy ride just as the summary suggests. Kippei was a horrible playboy who doesn't show any signs of character change until he falls in love with Kokoro (The person not a heart..)
Yuzuyu is a sad, cute kindergartener and it was pretty interesting to see how Kippei gets along with her. Overall, it took a lot of patience and time to finish this anime. If you like babies, throw up, playboys, kisses, and bentoes, then this anime is for you!

Story & Characters:
Aishiteruze Baby focuses on life of Kippei, a outgoing and carefree highschool kid, who suddenly has to become a guardian to the child of his recently widowed aunt. The story reflects marvelously on the struggles of raising somebody elses child and the problems that arise as Kippei tries to live his life while raising Yuzuyu. I liked how the characters developed as the story moved forward and how the characters background reflected upon their actions and personalities. Aishiteruze Baby is deep down a very peaceful anime albeit it had parts where I might have shed few very very manly tears.
Art & Sound:
By now the art is obviously relatively old already but it's still made well enough to still be relevant. Barely any scenes really stood out negatively and the art sty…
