Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable!

Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable!

Introduction

Having just moved from Tokyo to Hokkaido, high school student Tsubasa Shiki decides to explore the picturesque winter landscape he could never experience in the nation's capital. It only takes a moment for Tsubasa's idealized view of Japan's northernmost prefecture to crumble, as the sheer cold and frigid air quickly overwhelm him. While trying to find the way to his new home, Tsubasa runs into Minami Fuyuki—a talkative and friendly Hokkaido native who, despite the cold, is wearing a short skirt. The girl wastes no time in striking up a conversation, and Tsubasa comes to realize that the winter weather is not all that is too much for him to handle. The next day, Tsubasa is shocked to learn that not only is Fuyuki in his class, but her seat is also right next to his. Swept along by Fuyuki's persistent advances, the young man soon becomes captivated by both life in Hokkaido and the beautiful girl determined to get closer to him. As he deepens his relationship with Fuyuki and meets other fashionable girls from his school, Tsubasa finds out that Hokkaido gals truly are adorable. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

Country Gals Just Hit Different Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable is a show about a sugar sweet gals, who make delicious sugar sweetie chocolate, who also found this normal city boy, and turned him into a nice guy. If you're in for a low conflict, almost diabetes level sweet haram show, then this is for you. Character design is bouncy and sexy, each girl has a nice personality, so one is gonna hit for you. But it is overwhelmingly sweet to a level, where it's hard to watch, and my mind just begins to wander to more interesting shows. The main character is the biggest sinder, he's too nice and well meaning, just doesn't give many interesting scenarios, he's too sweet with no edges. It's show so bright, that my eyes have been burnt out, but maybe you have some sunglasses to enjoyed more.

Hokkaido gals is pretty much just about a guy from Tokyo moving to Hokkaido and sort of settling in it's pretty surface level story wise he meets a few people makes friends they start to like him the food stuff is a bit repetitive but I can forgive it, this show just kinda feels like somebody's life and I like that part of it sometimes it can be a little over the top but overall it was pretty alright. I like how the main girl has a canadian accent cause it just reminds me of those Toronto slang videos I might never understand those though overall it was pretty alright nothing major just something to turn on and not think much about and I think that's okay it might be cool if they do something else in the next season though but its fine either way so overall this anime was alright

I’ll be honest, this anime left me with mixed feelings in a way I didn’t really expect. Going into Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable!, I thought it would just be another light romcom with a gimmick, but the Hokkaido setting actually became the biggest reason I kept watching. The snowy streets, winter atmosphere, little cultural details, local food references, the way everyone casually adapts to the cold... it genuinely gave the series its own identity. There were moments where I paused just to appreciate the background art because it reminded me of those quiet winter evenings where everything feels slower and calmer. Now about the characters. Minami is definitely cute and energetic, probably one of the most memorable parts of the show. But honestly, I really wish the anime toned down the f…

Every person on Earth loves gyarus. We app want to be the privileged chosen one upon whom one of these legendary creatures' attention is lavished. We also want to ecape our horrible lives and begin anew in an exotic faraway place. For 12 short episodes I was able to indulge in these fantasies with this series. The pivotal waifu is super cute and adoring towards the main character (for no reason). There is no real conflict or tension, or even a plot, merely feel-good wish fulfillment. The weakest aspect of the show is certainly the art and animation, but it gets the job done.

I think my 5/10 stars, AKA average is an appropriate rating for this anime because it really is just your generic high school slice of life anime. Nothing about it really stands out as either very good or bad. I just barely don't regret watching it, and only because it had one or two good parts, but, it's not good enough to watch again or recommend to other people. The story is not unique, it follows the main character who is a transfer student arriving in a region of Japan he's not familiar with, but I think to the viewers it's not really as interesting as he finds it. To me it just seems like Japan but with a slightly different coat of paint. I think the art style and animate is a 5/10. Certainly not ugly or insanely low quality but nothing impressive either. The characters don't look…

I like the anime and I think it's a basic seven but I didn't like about this anime is that I think making an anime about Hokkaido a place that gets barely any type of recognition and adding cute girls and completely discarding that we are in an area that doesn't get any type of representation is like a stab in the chest like at first I thought it being placed in Hokkaido would play a role but it really doesn't. I wish they took the opportunities to showcase some of the deep enrich culture that Hokkaido has is quite a disappointment considering this place gets barely any type of recognition in the anime industry. I also didn't like the idea of this could be a lot of people first in introduction to Hokkaido like romanticising a hole prefecture in Japan isn't cute But from my romance aspect,…

Its pretty lighthearted and with some fun juicy moments never feels like they're overdoing it. The characters are each fun in their own way, and you grow to love them all. I would like to see another season Some nice depth in the characters and their relationships, and the comedy never feels overly dirty and does not focus much on ecchi to try and make it good, the drama is not over the top, and the comedy is good. Art style and character design is nice. Story not bad It was enjoyable Characters reacted to things in ways that felt real but different

To begin with, I disagree with the title (Hokkaido Girls are super adorable!) since the only female character type that appeared there is a gyaru (google it) and that is not what kind of beauty (it looks nice in the anime but in reality I would be ashamed to have such a girlfriend). Finally, a romance that takes place in winter (oh how I love winter). After all those summer and year-round anime where all seasons change in 12-24 ep., there is finally a purely winter affair. So that should be the introduction. I like it when romance takes place in winter, it is a beautiful season that unfortunately does not get much space on the scene, which is a shame for me, seeing a walk in the park when it is snowing is not seen very often, or a snowball fight, building a snowman, igloos and similar wi…

Watched on: 29–30 March 2025 Tsubasa, our protagonist, moves from Tokyo to a chilly Hokkaido, where he will find Minami, an energetic, really cute girl. So, this Shonen romance anime begins. Personally, I adore films, anime, or any bit of story that involves romance, I reckon in my life there has never been this sort of tension, but I am still believing that someday I will have it 😅. The progression of their friendship to love, with some emotional attachments, small jealousies, and heartwarming changes in behavior is slowly portrayed. There's even a little bit of a love triangle, not too overdramatic, of course. The best part?-it's not crammed with just too many characters so really you can relate to the main cast. 💖 Should You Watch It? If you like sweet slow-burn love stories, then…

Well... let's just say that the anime did everything it promised, the story, animation, characters and settings were all very well done, with the highlight being the refinement of having explored this duality between the customs and characteristics of “traditional” Japan and “modern” Japan The story hooks you in very well, but I think they could have developed certain characters a little more, instead of just having one romantic couple, it would have been nice to have had more, to the readers of the manga, I haven't read it, so the only reference I have now is the anime, and I'm basing myself on what was presented to me in it. I also want to make a few special comments: the stylization of the “Gyaru” and the way the level of sincerity has been applied to the characters is very interesting…

As someone that have read the manga first, i have to give it a thumbs up. The show captures completely what the author meant with it being a love letter to Hokkaido, the five main characters are well developed and they have a reasonably amount of depth. The animation is stunning, both for the places (which you're supposed to fall in love with) and the girls (who you're also supposed to fall in love) The narrative is extremely engaging, and it skips the unecessary fillings we have in the manga, going straight to the point. Hopefully it gets renewed so it can have a proper closure. If you're looking for pretty, you're looking for cute gyaru and not necessarily something that is reinventing the wheel, you should watch this one.

This anime is what happens... or would happen... when a local tourist commission writes an anime. This is a bog-standard rom-com about a boy who moves to Hokkaido, meets a gyaru with stereotypically huge "assets", gets shown all of the local delights, including, to some degree, said gyaru, and then the typical romantic comedy happens. Make no mistake - the MC in this anime isn't Shiki or Minami, it's Hokkaido, or more accurately, Kitami. We get shown the mascots, get shown their local food and mint, even are taken to a rather lovely park with lots of very beautiful pink flowers. It's a beautiful anime, and it does do its job of showing Hokkaido off admirably. But that's really all it does. Shiki is a typical anime MC protagonist who overreacts to every situation even remotely involving…

I was searching for a light anime to unwind with between larger projects when I came across this one. Normally, I don't judge an anime by its title, but this one is exactly what you'd expect from the name. Just from the title alone, you'd anticipate a rather average anime, full of clichés and a predictable storyline. And honestly, that pretty much sums up "Dosanko Gal wa Namara Menkoi". The anime kicks off on a charming note with the main character Shiki, Tsubasa moving from Tokyo to Hokkaido, where he randomly stumbles upon a blonde gyaru called Fuyuki at a bus stop and befriends her. Fuyuki Minami embodies the typical gyaru stereotype in anime—large chest, constantly hungry, and flirty—but she admittedly has a certain appeal. Despite the numerous fan service sprinkled throughout the fi…

Well this anime is ok but I hated the ending the main gyaru is ok but the otaku is best girl. Although the anime did hook me,in if it had uncensored ecchi I believe it would enhance the experience apart from the otaku, gyaru and the history buff all the other characters are under developed and boring. The reason I hate the ending is because of how anti climactic it is I understand that it's supposed to be a meta joke but it still made me annoyed and the gyaru didn't undergo any character development and she is like Nagataro (I have only watched the first episode of nagataro). So I guess the anime is ok but even though I have not finished many romance animes this is ok the best score I could give this is a 6.5/10 or a c+.

I just finished watching this anime today, so I figured I write a review. This rom-con anime is funny, cute, lighthearted, and unfortunately predictable. You can instantly tell the two main characters are meant to be however the writers didn't give much leeway for any other possible outcomes, relationship wise. Though it does not tell you the two main characters end up together, you can easily tell they will. If funny, cute and lighthearted are up your ally then you can give this anime a try. I feel like all the episodes follow the same format, but it didn't bother me much. What bothers me is the emphases around the obvious chemistry they have with one another. To be honest, the whole moving to a new city and only having eyes for the first girl you meet who also shows you a great deal…

A very average comedy about these 3 girls and 1 boy with the personality that we have seen thousands of times in other sometimes better shows and sometimes worst, there is nothing special here, the animation and the cold in Hokkaido of course its beautiful but overall these 3 Fuyuki, Sayuri and Natsukawa are just annoying af, and the boy who I don't remember the name it's just a boring protagonist made so virgens can relate The first 6 episodes are better than the other half because in those 6 first episodes you are not yet tired of these bad written characters ok and that's not a good thing, very bland anime 6/10.

Dosanko Gal is a cozy anime, it's filled with feel good vibes, a few ecchi moments ( very soft ones ), a bunch of lovable characters, and everyone is being kind towards each other etc... I think it's worth your time if you are looking for a light hearted harem/romcom show. I'll describe the positives and negatives of this anime without spoiling anything. The positives : + While the story isn't original at all, we can still praise it for the many wholesome moments it has, there's a big "happy" atmosphere in this anime it's enjoyable to watch good things happening to the characters, they help each other to overcome the few issues they can face etc... + The character designs are pretty good, and the other female main characters actually have better designs than the blonde gyaru, eve…

If you like dating several cute girls with some soft ecchi jokes then this anime is for you. This anime is about several girls attracted to MC at the same time without MC being great at something. The MC is typical nice guy and he is indecisive, he does not have gut to choose or reject a girl. MC is easy going and will go date with the girl that ask him. The MC will be teased by the girl many times, it is fun and enjoyable to watch. This anime is ideal for Shounen audience (boys, middle & high school) that want some kind of fantasy teenager girlfriends. The theme is in Hokkaido so you will see winter and snow everywhere. It does deliver the genre well: romantic comedy. Note that this anime is not Romcom in the same category as "Oshi No Ko" or "Masamune Kun no Revenge" (where there ar…

Geopolitics playing a role in anime? It’s more likely than you’d think! Flashback, it’s 1904 and Hokkaido is the closest tangible land mass to repel a potential Russian attack due to foreign provocation. Fast forward 120 years and the same fear is spreading all throughout the region. Should Japan decide to occupy Sakhalin once again or there be another Russo-Japanese war, Hokkaido would be at the forefront. It’s no secret that Japan’s most northern island is rather sparsely populated by their standards and declining steadily due to their natural population cycle. In order to feed the potential war machine, the government must utilize what they think “the kids” like, and therefore Dosanko Gal wa Namara Menkoi was born. Anime is no stranger to tourism based on real locations in their shows…

I have to admit, I found myself enjoying this show more than I expected. While the opening and ending may suggest it's just another typical harem series, it's a well-balanced blend of romance and slice-of-life elements. The characters genuinely feel like friends when they hang out, and the female lead isn't just a token for male fantasy fulfillment. Although it serves as a promotional project for Hokkaido, the storytelling effectively highlights the region's best features. Furthermore, the show doesn't shy away from portraying the challenges of living in such a cold area. In essence, it feels like the author draws heavily from personal experiences, making the scenarios feel remarkably realistic. In conclusion, while it may not be the greatest show, it certainly deserves more recognition.
