Gintama: The Movie: The Final Chapter: Be Forever Yorozuya

Gintama: The Movie: The Final Chapter: Be Forever Yorozuya

Introduction

When Gintoki Sakata apprehends a movie pirate at a premiere, he checks the camera's footage and finds himself transported to a bleak, post-apocalyptic version of Edo, where a mysterious epidemic called the "White Plague" has ravished the world's population. It turns out that the movie pirate was not a pirate after all—it was an android time machine, and Gintoki has been hurtled five years into the future! Shinpachi Shimura and Kagura, his Yorozuya cohorts, have had a falling out and are now battle-hardened solo vigilantes and he himself has been missing for years, disappearing without a trace after scribbling a strange message in his journal. Setting out in the disguise given to him by the android time machine, Gintoki haphazardly reunites the Yorozuya team to investigate the White Plague, and soon discovers that the key to saving the future lies in the darkness of his own past. Determined to confront a powerful foe, he makes an important discovery—with a ragtag band of friends and allies at his side, he does not have to fight alone. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

Another incredible anime original film - gintama is just a different level - before I watched this it was always the AOTs the FMABS and things like that but my god gintama is on a whole different level level - the fact that even if this was to be the ending it would still be satisfying and the fact that they managed to write this as a short and quick ending as they thought the anime would be dropped is crazy - an insane trip and absolutely fantastic for what it is - gintama just does not know how to miss and the parody at the start with the cinema was hilarious 💀

Honestly I've been looking forward to this for a while on my Gintama journey and reviewing it all as I go through it For something that was originally supposed to be the ending for the anime, This could have been an actually a really good end point for the series, For any real Gintama fan this is definitely a treat and something I would 100% recommend and something you shouldn't skip during your watch through this series This movie might honestly be my new favorite in the series with first half of "Enchousen" coming right after (I haven't watched anything past the Forth season yet as of writing so this might change) Aside from the first boring 8 minutes of the movie, This is honestly a really good watch and some aspects and parts of this movie I would argue are some of the best in anim…

Well, well, well, if it isn't Gintama Movie 2, the movie that had me laughing so hard, I almost spilled my tea. Let me break it down for you in terms of story, style, main characters, music, and enjoyment experience. Firstly, the story was as wacky and nonsensical as ever, and that's exactly what we love about Gintama. It had me scratching my head at times, but in a good way. The plot twists were unexpected, and the ending left me feeling satisfied. As for the style, Gintama's trademark blend of comedy, action, and drama was on full display. The animation was top-notch, and the fight scenes were as epic as ever. It's amazing how the creators managed to seamlessly weave in jokes and serious moments without it feeling forced. Now let's talk about the main characters. The chemistry between…

Ah yes, finally a Gintama entry that actually stands out from the usual stuff. The second movie is an original story showing the Gintama cast after... after. Well first there's a bit about piracy that was enjoyable on an ironic level. Afterwards the story starts, and it's a pretty nice story featuring time travel. Not a proper time travel story like Steins;Gate which takes its time to explain the mechanics of the device rather than simply using it to advance the plot. You get to see the cast 5 years later if that's what you're into. Personally, never really enjoyed epilogues but in this situation it was tolerable. Mainly because the movie did a great job at not being canon. All in all, this movie is meaningless while still being good. And I guess that's what makes it better than the main…

A brief Spoiler-free review Idk if anyone will ever read it or not but I'm gonna do my best First of all , if u r a Gintama fan and want to know all aspects of the story and characters then don't skip this or any ova Not to mention that it was amazing so don't skip it Secondly , I gave this movie an 8/10 because of some issues I felt The story -8 Unlike many unique Gintama arcs , the main plot of this story isn't really what's special about it but the character moments and the beautiful art and sound (direction) Characters-8 As this movie is chronologically after season 3 , I knew all characters very well and so laughed and cried for the characters but one problem I had was that at certain parts even when I was laughing or crying I felt something was off and that certain characs. act…

In any episode of this anime, random things happen to the same old people, you get to know them through the little bits. Those bits don't even need to be fun or memorable. The important thing is that when you remember any bit of it, you truly cherish it forever. Life is just like Gintama. Live it enjoying every bit of it. All that it involves. And then go out like a white spark. Truly one of the most fulfilling anime. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I truly recommend watching this anime little by little, day by day. You don't need to binge it in one go. Take your time

Gintama Movie 2- Be Forever Yorozuya Gintama has won many hearts with his humorous and charismatic manner. And Gintama's second film had it all again. The lovable and personable characters, the music, the stupid ingenious humor, and the wonderful urge to parody everything possible. I can't deny it, the film got off to a very strong start. The characters and the quality of the humor have been worthy of the series. Again, this film tried to be extremely serious from the middle and presented a mediocre plot. Gintama can't just stop doing it. As you already know, Gintama is practically unbeatable when it comes to comedy interludes. Gintama is also probably one of the few anime in which practically every character is noteworthy, individual, and "really" personable. But Gintama also has a d…

“How about we add something sad to make it seem like it’s the final one? Like ‘Farewell,’ or ‘Forever,’ or ‘Final.’” - Gintoki Sakata, Episode 50 (Gintama) Gintama: The Movie: The Final Chapter: Be Forever Yorozuya really is the perfect Gintama film. It is hilarious, ridiculous, action-packed, and uniquely bittersweet for a film that, technically, doesn’t live up to its name. Some people may go into this film looking for a perfectly tied up ending and a watertight plot, partially forgetting that this isn’t what Gintama is about. Be Forever Yorozuya is a fun film that plays around with its premise while continuing to develop the key themes of the main series (and making the obligatory Fist of the North Star reference). And, while the story isn’t too original, it allows the Gintama brand…

tl;dr: Great as a movie/side story, but not an adequate ending as it's supposed to be The characters are great. Gintama is everything and you can't take it back from them. New Patsuan and Kagura are outstanding, ii was out of my mind when i saw them for the first time. The whole dystopian edo is really something else as well. Although i laughed here and there, the comedy is not that on point Gintama-level. I also feel like the whole concept of Gintoki being forgotten didn't quite land me, especially when you know the Kintama arc happened before, it's just nothing new, while one of the strong points of the series is catching you off-guard the whole time. That said, Enmi is an outstanding villain, the whole concept even better than Utsuro. But like i said, it wouldn't be enough to end one…

This movie is confusing because a.) everyone says this is one of the best parts of Gintama b.) but it isn't canon c.) but it could be canon because the mangaka wrote this story d.) it could be considered canon because everything except the last scene means it could've happened in the manga timeline e.) and the person at the end could have just forgotten what they saw after a time and then that would fix the discrepancy f.) it could be an alternate ending since this was meant to end the anime, but that's a dumb answer g.) anime canon is what this is and that's still considered canon in every other anime so I guess this actually happened and h.) this feels like it's supposed to end Gintama because it was, but Gintama didn't end. But, despite all the confusing and fighting over whether this…

I'll start with the weakest point of the movie first...it's story. It's a time leap story which are hard to get right in the first place and towards the end here it doesn't really get it right at all. Too much is unexplained and doesn't really make a lot of sense. But this is Gintama...something that would sink a normal anime doesn't for some reason here. The characters, action, feels and music all serve to cover it up somehow. Not enough to give it a 10 but enough to make me laugh and cry which somehow Gintama always seems to make me do. In the end whilst the story isn't special this movie more than makes up for it in other ways and leaves one satisfied at having been able to watch it.

Since I am so sick of Christmas because of it's overrated music, films, etc and that it has a 3rd spot as Top Anime movies on MAL (might change as time goes on) I decided to totally watch this Gintama film. It totally did not disappoint me.... It was so friggin sweet man! SPOILERS ALERT DON'T LOOK MORE OF MY REVIEW IF YOU HAVENT SEEN IT I loved the fact Gintoki is transported to the future and he got to see the badass adult versions of Kagura & Shinpachi (unfortunately didn't take long for them to change back into their normal selves). I gotta say the CGI animation on this film was quite well done especially in the near ending when they were going to battle. Seriously seeing all the characters from the show was pretty dope if I do say so myself! Lads if you're honestly sick of the s…

To let all my biased points out first, Best Animated Movie Period. Gintama aka Goatama really let loose in this 2nd flim. Everything I loved about gintama has been pushed into 1 movie and I loved every second of it. God Bless Sorachi ehm.. Story(10): Throughout the series, the past wasn't really hinted at very much it only took later arcs for us to get small bits of the recollection of gintoki's past. This Flim revealed how the past and future has been effect by gintoki. Wonderful story of the yorozuya i can see myself rewatching plenty of times. Art(9): The usual in gintama but given that it is a movie it has a more quailiy within the art. Not much to say but the reaction shots are drawn well and comedic Sound(10): The music choices are brilliant, SPYAIR really is a band fit for gin…

This Gintama movie is fantastic, it is a 10/10, there is no denying that. This movie had me laughing and almost had me tearing up in some parts. This review will be short. The beginning of the movie is basically what not do in a movie theaters. Don't record the movie, don't have your phone on and etc. Do not skip this part, it is very funny and also it ties in with the main story of the movie. I really don't want to write anything else because I don't want to spoil anything and I think you should experience the movie yourself because it is amazing. 10/10 Highly recommend watching this movie and the Gintama series if you haven't watch it yet.

"This is it!", is what I eventually said after watching this shounen masterpiece. For as how much I enjoy my time enduring the journey throughout the Gintama series, it is not to be wondered if I will probably like this movie is what I convinced myself before watching this movie which is the second work of its kind that is been produced by the franchise after the first Gintama movie that is released previously. Likewise, considering from getting high ratings by viewers among MAL community and all the threads I have found out regarding of how fine of an artwork it is, I myself still wondering about how it is still be able to come out as better than what i had expected. So basically, this whole review is solely induced by my satisfaction towards this movie other than making the least out of…

And finally they made a arch to compete with Benizakura, a pity that was not in anime, let's consider the technical considerations: To be honest, the animation left something to be desired, there are few fluid scenes for an anime movie, the fight that occurred in Benizakura had a great choreography, but in that, unfortunately, I expected more. Following the plot: the author did well to approach a theme linked to the future / past, we can see our beloved characters older, but without "losing" the essence, outside also gave us the possibility to know more about the war joui and beyond to have brought such a "dark" universe to Gintama, making an interesting contrast with the original work. Now, following for me: Dude, the movie is very good, but I really wanted him to be in the anime, it woul…

The versatility of Gintama really is its strongest suit; it has much a masterful control over its own internal workings that it’s able to plop its characters into pretty much any situation, happy or sad, intense or laid back, or anything in between, and have it work like gangbusters. And there nothing for fun than watching this franchise walk up to a tried-and-true plotline- body swapping, gang warfare, tournament arcs- and tackle them with a refreshing vigor that both reminds you why you fell in love with these tropes in the first place and makes you question why Gintama never did this particular storyline before (probably because it was too busy doing a dozen other storylines that it had never done before). But it certainly is surprising that it took until the second movie spin-off (the…

I rarely enjoy anime movies as it usually seems far too disconnected and poorly written from the main story. This was an exception. The fight scenes were interesting and well choreographed. This is nakama power done right! Additionally, the characters continued to keep their entertaining personas - which is way more than some other anime movies can say. The art is a step above the usual Gintama style, and a number of scenes were quite detailed and well drawn. The movie was also able to successfully transition between depressing moments almost instantaneously to comedic tones. That is truly quite an achievement many shows (not just anime) or entertainment in general is unable to do. I commend this movie for that. Usually when people mess with time travel, there are a number of pronounced pl…

This movie is better then the first Gintama movie in every way. It is both funnier then the first one with me laughing outloud multiple times. It's crazy then the first one in both it's plot with involves time travel and a incurable killer disease. It's more emotional then the first movie with very touching moments that demonstrate the strength of the bonds between the charters and would have meant even more if I had watched the series. The other one I wasn't able to take seriously at all and this one I was able to take somewhat serious despite it breaking the fourth wall at the begging and referencing other anime by name in the movie. This movie was made for fans of the series but even as a non-fan I was immensely entertained.
