The low rating on this makes me cackle. I feel I must throw my hat into the ring and give people a proper vibe check when going into this show. This will be spoiler free.
Firstly: one does not watch first love monster and expect plot, character development, or even sense, logic, or rationale. You must throw all of that straight into the trash, leave your morals at the door, similar to playing cards against humanity and similar games. You are here to consume straight garbage, laugh at ridiculous nonsense, and enjoy a spectacle like your neighbors are having a public crashout in broad daylight. You revert to your basest form, get some snacks, maybe a drink if you drink, and watch this with some friends, preparing to trash talk and laugh out loud.

I've watched some really morally-dubious anime, and I've played some absolutely-not-morally-"dubious" videogames, and have come across some media online which have probably gotten some people in jail, but somehow Hatsukoi Monster has managed to top it all, not because it is necessarily, in practical terms, disgusting, but because this anime is built around characters and situations which are simply the work of people whose hard drives need to be checked to ensure the safety of many members of the younger generations.

I did not read the plot summary and such. There is 40% I would not have watched if read it and only watched because looking at cover art, everyone looks high school age at minimum, except for Kaz who looks like a girl, so I would be wondering who the hell this "5th grader is". I gave a 7/10, with 4/5 and 5/5 on lots of episodes, being interfered by "cons" that felts 2/5 at best. Cons are enough reason to justify the 5.46 MAL grade by 41358 users.

There are these idiotic teenagers who think I consider them friends, and since I've known one of them since my junior year of high school, I feel obligated to keep that up with her friends too. The story is quite unrealistic and quite rare and bad. The anime makes no sense, but for some reason you want to finish it. The truth is a rather silly anime, also the character's decisions were really immature. It is certainly a rare thing to see. It was good for a case of extreme boredom but I wouldn't recommend it.

This was the worst anime I've seen in a very long time, and it's despicable.
At first, I was just looking for a quick anime that I could finish within a small period of time, so I chose this one since it seemed like a comedy plot. However, I was sorely mistaken and this abomination of an anime wasted my time.

Primitive, easy-watching anime. No real culmination or denouement. No greater characters development. There are some attempts to create intrigue however there is no further elaboration of it.
This is not what I have expected from comedy, romance anime. Furthermore, as far as I am concerned, shoujo anime could be with less dick jokes and focus more on hilarious hatsukoi (first love) based situations.

Personally this anime is one of my favorites because its so stupid. It's the weirdest therefore the most entertaining. I will say that it can seem a bit strange during just about the entire thing but that's why it is so interesting. Don't watch this anime if you are looking for a love story because it would make you feel uncomfortable. Watch this Anime If you want to cry your eyes out by how weird and surprising it can be throughout. I heard some people think the age difference is huge when in reality that age gap is actually normal when it comes to adulthood.
