I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in The Real World, Too

Introduction

All his life, Yuuya Tenjou has been the subject of resentment and contempt from everyone around him, even from his parents. To make matters worse, his grandfather—the only person who ever showed him affection—suddenly dies, leaving Yuuya truly alone. Despite facing many adversities, Yuuya does what he can to offer kindness to those who need it—but even the most good-natured people can only tolerate so much abuse. Just when he reaches his breaking point, a flicker of hope appears in the form of a hidden door in his bathroom. This door provides two-way access to an abandoned house in another world, where he instantly gains game-like stats and skills. Moreover, the house once belonged to a sage, which gives Yuuya access to remarkable weapons, equipment, and crops with extraordinary effects. With these newfound blessings, the once-undesirable Yuuya may just reach his true potential and become unstoppable. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World is an Exercise in Pure Visual Agony If you ever wanted to watch a PowerPoint presentation disguised as a 13-episode anime series, I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in the Real World, Too is ready to waste your time. It is a masterclass in atrocious production values and painfully bad writing. 1. A Glorified Slide Show The most offensive aspect of this show is its complete refusal to animate. * Zero Fluidity: Action sequences consist of static JPEG images panning across the screen, freeze-frame slashes, and looping two-frame movement. Characters regularly slide across backgrounds without moving their legs. * Blinding Filters: To mask the lack of budget, every frame is smothered in obnoxious lens flares, hyper-saturated bloom, and…

Isekai slop anime at its peak. This show is about Tenjou Yuuya, a bullied, fat, and hopeless teenager who, out of nowhere, suddenly found an isekai door in his house, leveled up there, and became incredibly strong and good-looking in the real world too. The generic story, powerpoint animation, and mediocre direction make up this absolute isekai slop of a show. The only objectively good thing in this anime are the art quality of the characters (seriously, they look so good). This show is entertaining because of how bad it is. "Isekai de Cheat Skill wo Te ni Shita Ore wa, Genjitsu Sekai wo mo Musou Suru: Level Up wa Jinsei wo Kaeta" is faithfully devoted to making over-the-top and cringe scenes to make the main character look cool. This anime is full of generic anime tropes like the MC sav…

As an isekai trash/lover I can't belive what I am about to write but here I go, I will make it short: Animations are good..... is what I would like to say, but with every episode the quality just goes down. And that is 100% the fault of the guys on top not the animators, since the first episode was well made. The anime is all about giving the MC everything he will ever need on a silver platter. And other characters are there to highlight just how awesome the MC is. Not once did I feel that MC could potentially lose. Well developed characters? No. Good world building? No Harem? Yes A disappointing experience? Yes I wanted to like it. I just could not.

A truly great and relaxing anime! True to its title, the main character is absolutely broken and powerful. If you're sick and tired of watching weak MCs getting constantly mistreated and tortured, this series is the perfect remedy. It completely relieves all that frustration and delivers pure satisfaction. Even though the plot can be quite predictable and follows the typical isekai formula, I thoroughly enjoyed it because the execution is so satisfying. The art style and animation are stunning, beautifully fitting the vibrant vibe of both worlds. The characters might not be the most complex, but the protagonist's massive glow-up and his unusually strong, smart nature make every episode incredibly fun to watch. If you are looking for a lighthearted, feel-good show to turn off your brain an…

Tbh, Mid anime with a full harem and I wouldn't dare call it an interesting anime but still somehow quite entertaining at some points. I like the idea of Mc walking in two worlds. Just.... one of the flaws here is the animation, right? Funny enough that it's still better than a one puch man. (sorry guys) or another flaw our character became a god too soon and with that Mc didn't really have a challenge here. I missed what Mushoku Tensei was like, how a loser slowly turns into a strong and nice guy and I didn't really like that in Solo Leveling or Danmachi either. Harem is okay, there are good girls, but Kaorio is personally by far the best one here ! because she already found Mc interesting before Chad changed and I find her scenes somehow enjoyable. So yeah, I shouldn't give it 5 or…

I started watching this because Crunchyroll listed it as a Seinen, which I hoped meant it would have more mature themes than the average anime. I don't know why it got that designation, as this is as basic of an isekai as it gets. Don't be fooled like I was. It has an interesting gimmick where the MC can go back and forth between the real world and a fantasy world. He levels up in the fantasy world and that makes him really athletic IRL. It's a fun detail that a better made show could probably do a lot with. As it stands this doesn't have the storytelling chops to be anything more than blatant, egregious wish fulfillment. A fat ugly loser gets transformed overnight into attractive alpha male that everyone ogles over. The plot is just a sequence of overly-convenient excuses for him to sho…

"You lost some weight" Literally the biggest understatement of the century. His height, bone/facial structure, even the skin tone changed overnight. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for hot MC's and all (and I don't watch animes with ugly MCs) but this is the most unbelievable of the unbelievables. The story is pretty linear, massively predictable, although I wouldnt call it much of a story, since a story is something you are keen on following, and I wasn't very keen with this one. Story: 0/10 Characters development: 1/10 Plot: 3/10 Design: 8/10 Binge watchability: 4/10 (maybe 10/10 to some idk) Is it exciting: 3/10 Do I want to re-watch: 0/10

How do I put this, Isekai de Cheat Skill... is a generic, trashy, power fantasy. It was more disappointing than anything else. The story could have been so much more if it focused more on Yuuya's imposter syndrome and feeling of incompetence. The groundwork was clearly there, but because of the way it's written, he comes off as annoying and disingenuous. His timid attitude towards everything, and the constant self deprecation could have at least been handled better, if not scraped all together. The show could also could do without the over the top scenarios in the regular world, and contained the magic and fighting to the fantasy one. It could have been a great story, keeping the isekai and "cheat skill" elements, if it only expanded on Yuuya's character more. If you're wanting a simple p…

I don’t usually write reviews, but this one stuck with me—even after more than a year. I first watched this anime over a year ago, and I gave it not one, not two, but three separate chances back then. The first time, I dropped it after a couple of episodes because it just didn’t click. Months later, I tried again and pushed myself to episode 7, hoping it would finally get better… it didn’t. Same feeling, same disappointment. But since so many people were praising it, I thought maybe I was missing something. So I gave it one last shot and forced myself to finish the entire thing. And honestly? I regretted it. There are so many unnecessary scenes that add nothing to the story. It constantly feels like the show is trying way too hard to make the MC look cool in front of everyone—like ever…

Sometimes is refreshing to watch a silly OP MC show like this one, at first time I dropped it at 6th ep, but one day, I was bored looking for something to watch, and found this again... So I decided to watch it till the end this time... never imagined this was so funny at first sight, it's so bad that it becomes good xD, I couldn't stop laughging everytime, seriously... surprised me in the funny way, if you just want to watch a serious Isekai, this is not for you, but if you want just disconnect the brain and live fun moments you'll enjoy like me. Recommended. Characters are fine designed, Art not so bad, Animation... I'd say is above the most mediocre Isekais I've seen lately (overall the CG based ones), the best point are the Cute girls, the guys... I suppose are too, but that not my in…

In a similar vein to how 'The Room' is regarded as one of cinema's masterpiece's for how poorly produced it was, this anime's attempt at being competent misses the mark by so much that you come to appreciate how terrible some art can truly be. The story is an incredibly generic power fantasy isekai slop that only exists to flatter the protagonist and make him look as cool as possible. And then everyone clapped. I wish I could write more but that's literally the entire show. Everything about the production was quite good, which only leaves you more confused as to how so much money was invested on a story that's so laughably bad to see. Many anime can be considered trash because they're boring to watch and should be avoided, but this show is the biggest, brightest, most entertaining dumpst…

The impossibly quiet life of a chad god. 4/10 TL:DR; An incel walks into a cabinet and becomes the greatest everything of all forever. So OP AND handsome, that the world stops to stare. There's truly nothing this protag cannot do, no woman that can resist him, and... boredom ensues. In place of any actual driving force or narrative, we're presented with trivial catastrophe after trivial catastrophe that results in another woman falling for him. And that's it. THE ONLY way I recommend watching this is if you want a good laugh at the absurdity. The Review: I love isekai trash. But sometimes, the trash combusts into a full-blown dumpster fire. That spark is episode 4. Episode after episode of increasingly unbelievable moments (we're talking within the realm of physics, not just anime logic…

Well, im impressed. Impressed with myself i managed to actually endure this anime . Yes,you heard me right, endure. Not watch, endure. As far as isekai goes, there's a formula. It's hard to create something incredibly original, but plenty of shows manage to create their own atmosphere and stand out. This farce stands out allright. In the worst ways possible. The first and biggest issue i have with this show is that it shoved 11 episodes of the corniest most infuriating slice of life ever shown in my 2 and a half episodes of isekai . Yeah, that's the first problem.Even as isekai slop it barely features any isekai. To some extent all isekai are some sort of wish fulfillment fantasy. But this one really pushes it in the worst direction possible. 90% of the dialogue is random NPCs showering th…

The sloppiest isekai power fantasy slop to ever hit the market. If you took a shot every time the mc saves a love interest you'd die of alcohol poisoning. There is quite literally no compelling reason to give this show even a passing glance, and I'm embarrassed I let the whole thing play in the background while doing chores. Enjoy some bullet points highlighting irritating qualities this slop has to pad the word count for this site's review system: - MC has, by my count, 6 love interests. With the combined personality of an old couch in the shard space of a college dorm - The show manages to include every conceivable 'rescue a damsel' cliche in the book (Prevent an SA, monster attack x3, prevent execution, school violence, gang attack, bear attack, fire, assassination, political scheme,…

I was about to write an essay here, but this is really not worth it... I promised myself I would give every anime I start a fair chance and refrain from dropping. This really made me regret my decision. Here's all you need to know... Every cliche you can think of is in this Isekai. The MC is a brainlet. The writing is terrible. Normally I really like isekai. It's my guilty pleasure. A genre I can turn my brain off for. I never expect much, just dumb fun. But this here.. not even an attempt was made to make a good story. I'm usually never this harsh with ratings, but this really and truly pissed me off.

Overall Rating: 4/10 Visually stunning, but narratively hollow. A show that looks great doing absolutely nothing. Plot: 3/10 It had potential but spent more time making the MC look “cool” than actually telling a story. No clear goal, no real conflict—just vibes and ego. Character Development: 1/10 The dude didn’t earn a single ounce of growth. Without that magic door, he’d still be the same emo basement dweller with crippling self-esteem. Everything good that happened to him was pure dumb luck and magic. World-Building: 0/10 We’ve got a supposedly vast kingdom, yet the only places shown are his backyard, the school, and his house. For an “isekai,” this world feels painfully small. Graphics & Character Design: 10/10 Absolutely top-tier. The visuals carry the entire show on their back.…

I will start this review by saying that I love trashy isekai. Power fantasies where the protagonist is overpowered and a dozen girls instantly fall in love with him for no apparent reason are totally my jam. This anime very much one of those anime. The protagonist, Yuuya, starts off as a fat guy bullied by everyone including his family, but after finding a door to a fantasy world he levels up super quickly and becomes a hot overpowered guy. The gimmick that makes this anime somewhat unique compared to the other trashy isekai is that Yuuya can freely go back and forth between the fantasy world and his original world, thus allowing him to use his buffed up stats and magic within the context of normal high school life. This anime does have some good moments that use that gimmick effectively.…

Best design I've ever seen. Yet... worst writing, it hurts. Good points: All the characters are beautiful -The heroines are gorgeous -The lighting is wonderful. Bad points: However, the frames are static, -The protagonist is the worst kind of innocent and good boy possible -The MC is dumb! -Everyone loves him for forced reasons and the ones who hate him, do for forced reasons -The villains are horrible (in the sense of shallow and poorly written) -The world is poorly explored -The story is generic despite the innovative premise. Everything in this anime is designed to make you hate it, and it's not intentional. In my opinion, it's the worst anime I've ever seen.

This anime's MC is 1/2 the embodiment of what every teenage guy imagines himself to be. Just pure wish-fulfillment and badassery. The other 1/2 is a genuinely kind and forgiving guy. Some people might not like how forgiving he is and see it as a character flaw, but to me it's a positive trait. This anime is a step above the typical isekai anime in terms of quality, but it's also very cliche, in the way that isekais often are. The MC is super OP and gets All The Powers right off the bat. A lot of the anime is about people on Earth freaking out about how handsome/strong/talented he is. There is also a lot of fan service. The MC's personality is mild, but good. The dude is really insecure, in a way that actually sets him apart from the typical isekai anime protagonist. He's still healing f…

This anime is so terrible it has forced me to write my first review on this site. I did not enjoy anything past the first bit of sword swinging in episode one. Sadly, I finished watching in case something actually happened in a later episode and it redeemed itself. But no, dear reader, you can be assured there was nothing. An empty shell of an anime. Swing sword, thing dies, protag is cool. The main character is only ever mildly inconvenienced at best and that's stretching the definition. There is no plot, there is no conflict, there is no climax, there is no resolution. Like a flatlined heart monitor - and this anime: dead. I have watched plenty of trash anime but this is a new category on its own that is somehow worse. It's not even worth putting on in the background while you do anot…
