Finally! Finally a series without the "I will not kill anyone" pacifistic bullshit. I'm fed up with the "you've killed a ton of people, but I'm a shounen MC and I will make friends with you" trope. A breath of fresh air.
Without going into too much detail, I personally think there is a unique vibe to this show but I'm seeing people comparing Tsukimichi to Konosuba and especially Slime Tensei. Their argument for Slime Tensei in a nutshell is "Dude gets Isekai'd to another world where he is forced to live among the monsters as an over powered force of nature who makes a contract with a dragon by naming the dragon (or visa versa) which gives power before building a new civilization which is reminiscent of Japan among monsters & demihumans who would otherwise be fighting each other."
Their a…

Honestly, I'm still wondering what happened when I gave this anime a 7. Maybe I was drunk, because giving such a high score to an isekai is extremely rare for me.
That being said, I must have enjoyed it enough at the time. It has all the typical isekai clichés, an overpowered protagonist, fantasy races, and the usual adventure formula, but somehow it managed to keep me entertained until the end.
I wouldn't call it revolutionary or particularly memorable, but I also don't remember having a bad time watching it. So maybe drunk me knew something that present me doesn't.
Either way, for an isekai to get a 7 from me, it must have done something right.
Score: 7/10

The main character gets rejected by the goddess... then immediately becomes stronger than almost everyone else.
The main character is overpowered, surrounded by loyal followers, and eventually builds a harem without even trying.
The side characters exist mainly to praise the MC and remind you how amazing he is instead of having personalities of their own.
The story keeps jumping from one side quest to another with almost no real tension or long-term stakes.
It's boring as fuck. Every arc follows the same formula, the fights are predictable, and once the first episode is over, it becomes another generic isekai.

This review is for seasons 1 and 2.
This show is halfway between Overlord and Slime Tensei -- it brings the former's cautious yet OP protagonist that's surrounded by attractive women gushing over him, with the latter's plot beat about building a society from the ground up. Unfortunately, it's also very unserious with lots of that goofy overreaction humor that I don't particularly enjoy. I like Overlord and Slime Tensei, and this show has a lot to recommend about it as well, but the incessant campiness prevents it from being truly great in my eyes.
The female cast is decent, with Mio and Tomoe doing the haremy thing of throwing themselves at the protagonist who wants to remain a volcel in the typical family-friendly isekai fashion. They're decently well-characterized but their interactio…

Tsukimichi Moonlit Fantasy, the isekai that boldly asks: what if our protagonist didn't care about the plot. Makoto is the most bizarre isekai protag I've seen, someone who is deeply invested in the lives of otherworlders and who chooses to live alongside them, yet who could care less about the race war being raged within the other world. I find my fascination with this show to come from that central contradiction; having a decently fleshed out fantasy world and many characters who inhabit it that the audience is asked to become invested in, and a protagonist whose only concerns lie in keeping his friends and family safe when he's a literal demigod. It's a bizarre viewing experience, whose tone stays consistent throughout the current run of the light novel, and for me is the quintessential…

The kingdom builder isekai without the wait. 7/10
TL:DR; Slime's ramp without the pesky need for realism. The power fantasy from [enter favorite isekai here]. It even has waifus - without the Re:Monster filth. This is a great alternative to Reincarnated as a Slime if it felt too happy-go-lucky and Isekai Slow Life if it felt too shallow. Effectively, you see a lot of known tropes, but they're adopted in a way that really feels different.
The Review:
At a high level, this is a great option for those looking to dive into a world and find out what would happen if you could build a kingdom in a vacuum. It's funny and has some nice running gags with very unique waifus. And when I say unique, I mean we've got a wholesome group of girls that are drawn to the MC because they appreciate his val…

(Hood Review)
At first, this anime starts off kinda slow and basic, nothing crazy. I didn’t expect much, but as I kept watching, by the end of season one I was locked in. Then season two? Man, that jawn was out of this world.
Yeah, it got a bit of fan service that can be annoying sometimes, but it’s not a dealbreaker. The fights? Not on Demon Slayer’s level, but still solid. The story’s that classic “reincarnated into another world” type, but it got its own flavor that makes it stand out.
Character development? Fire. It gets better and better the more you watch.
Overall — this anime’s a hit. If you like overpowered main characters, this the one for you.

Alright, let’s start with the basics:
Story: 6/10

Animation: 6.5/10
Soundtrack: 7/10
Comedy: 7/10
Well, another isekai with an overpowered protagonist... but this time there's a twist — I actually like the protagonist. I appreciate how he has his own personality, principles, and how he grows throughout the series. He’s not just another bland, soft-hearted, goody-two-shoes isekai lead. No — he has character. And with that character comes anger, vengeance, irony, sadism, happiness, love, compassion, and all the other emotions a human being should have.
On top of that, the main female leads — specifically Tomoe, Mio, and Emma — are all incredibly charming in their own uniquely twisted ways. I really enjoyed how each of them was developed in a completely different directi…

How are bad anime on MAL so highly rated?
The Good:
Feel good, entertaining, funny at times.
The Bad:
Incredibly predictable, terrible characters, no depth to the story, animation and art.
I'll give this a 5 because it made me laugh and kept me a little entertained. Nah, 4 is what it deserves. Art and Animation: 3/10
Quality is poor, many freeze frames to show "action". Clearly the budget was low or they overworked animators.
Music: 3/10
Some pieces are clearly random popular OST tracks but with certain notes changed to slightly alter it so as not to sound like a copy.
Others, well, I don't remember them.
Characters: 3/10
They aren't human and they don't act human -- not even the demons and demi-humans. Also, super shallow, and all important girls want to do things to MC. Even enemies…

I was a little disappointed with season 1, expecting a little more, given the few good ideas the series had to offer. The parodic aspect of the isekai genre was pretty funny at first, and there are a few good ideas (like the murder scene in episode 11), but in the end it's never really used to its full potential. The humor goes round in circles and ends up becoming rather heavy-handed, the deeper ideas are evacuated in 2 minutes by a gag or a plot device, and in the end...well, there's not much left but a quickly distracting anime and a few unexploited buds of ideas.
What a shame.

I dont usually write reviews but this was such a enjoyable isekai anime. The humour is great, I especially enjoy the fact people often mistake the MC for a demihuman due to his appearance. The mc is more or less your typical isekai mc and the story does follow the route of a normal isekai but it does have its slightly dark moments. Also I must say the music really stood out for me, the opennings and endings were great but I really enjoyed the battle osts they felt so nostalgic for some reason so I did some research and found that they were actually made by Yasuharu Takanashi, the composer for naruto and fairytale. The characters have different strengths and weaknesses which makes each battle exciting. I wont dive to deep into this anime but I highly recommend it.

- This is a vanilla isekai series.
- There are no new concepts and the animation is pretty average.
- The MC has god like powers and was summoned to the world to defeat the demon king, tho he'd rather like to challenge the goddess of the world.
- The only "handycaps" for MC are human language and his ugly face.
- The side characters are over all not the brightest candles on the cake.
- At least all characters have had some kind of character developement, even if it's over all just superficial, like getting more conficence or being more sensitive after some time.
- It has its hilarious comedy moments tho
- not recommended for people who are fed up with isekai
- recommended for everyone who needs a show that's easy to follow while doing the laundry.

One of the few anime from the past few years that is really worth watching in my opinion. The storyline is just as you would imagine an isekai to be.
We have an MC who is strong, who is aware of his strengths and can use them wisely. The storyline follows an exciting plot.
Personally, I like anime in which an individual faces all challenges and in the end all his efforts are rewarded with success and friendship. The MC is the kind of hero you like to see. Basically a good-hearted character who faces everyone openly and without hostility but can also be consistent when it comes to making unpleasant decisions.
The storyline offers many things that I personally like. We have an improvement in skills. Makoto is trying to develop further and even though we don't see any pure training episode…

Another Isekai anime where the protagonist is practically a God, he can do and destroy whatever he wants; after being summoned to another world because of his parents, he gains supreme abilities, but the Goddess considers Makoto ugly and banishes him to a desert region, where he begins his journey in this new world, after his encounter with Ema.
The protagonist is a character with superficial development, without any enemies that put him at risk, he also follows the cliche of the hero who arrives in the other world and builds his own city without any difficulty, and the harem that cannot be missed, with two beautiful waifus and other options available, Makoto is not interested in any of them and the interaction between them is terrible; the comic relief comes from the interaction between…

The main character is an ordinary otaku high school student.
The main character is stronger than everyone else, has a harem.
The side characters are self-righteous, shameless, and brainless.
Events occur suddenly and the story lacks smoothness.
It's extremely boring and has clichéd comedy, with the music making the events even more tedious.
Ordinary event :
Bad Person: "I am a very evil being who has lived for hundreds of years; my magic is extremely powerful... Taste my magic."
MC: "Hmm, this magic doesn’t work on me because I’m immune, and so on..."
Bad Person: "Aaaahhhh, who is this, so powerful, it can’t be... (dies)"

Tsukimichi was enjoyable from start to finish. Makoto Misumi, the main protagonist, is very innocent and very unknowningly comical. This aspect of his character pulls you in from the very beginning.Every character you meet henceforth has a very unique personality that stands out from their counterparts throughout the series, with all of them being slightly humorous in their own way.
The character designs were very basic and nothing particularly made each character unique, save for a few. The expected design make up for each character was the same. However, they did a great job at introducing characters they have very different facial features and designs.
The story was great from how it developed from the beginning to the end. This being an isekai series you have a general idea of how t…

This anime was one of the surprises I had recently. I want to make it clear that it is not at all a masterpiece and does not particularly stand out in anything, this first season is simply good.
With that clarified, it is important to emphasize that the original concept of the idea of this anime is without a doubt quite good, a protagonist who should have been a hero but who was rejected for being ugly, and now lives as a kind of rejected hero of the grace of God that brought him into the world.
Although the main concept of the anime is undoubtedly quite good, I must clarify that the first 10 chapters are in fact quite simple and simple in narrative contexts and development, it leaves the impression of being another anime of an extremely powerful character that does not have any type of…

This anime is like Overlord... at the end it feels like this, but there is no comparison obviously.
The design, writing is all very nice , it should not end at the 12* episode but be longer and longer, it feels really a very complete story writed in a mixed way that is really good, it doesn't feel too sarcastic and for little kids... there is just a bit of that and is perfect.
The dream of a guy with womens and an entire world for himself is just a like i said... a dream of us (maybe), and it's a really cool dream.
I say 10/10... realistically it would be a 8/10 just because when it come to fight it would be fantastic to have better fighting.

Came back to review this after being impressed with season 2. Season 1 is fairly generic isekai marred by tropes. You have the power fantasy, harem (fierce monsters turning in to hot girls after being defeated by the protagonist), and fan service. The redeeming quality is the story. It involves similar story beats to Slime Reincarnation but I feel are told in a more interesting and compelling way. The protagonist is also quite enjoyable. He has some interesting twists that limit him, unique motivations, and can be morally gray at times.
Anyway, keeping this short. I know it sounds like I'm being harsh on it, but I assure you it's an overall enjoyable experience and definitely worth it to get in to season 2.

With all the Isekai shows saturating the market, Tsukimichi stands out against the mostly underwhelming options. While the show follows a very similar format of a person passing away, and then a God/goddess sends them to an alternate universe…what they do with the rest of the show following after is both fun, and entertaining!
I feel the main character, Makoto, is similar to, Rimuru, from the time I got reincarnated as a slime! They both create a new place for non-humans to reside peacefully together, and are set on a path of fixing the world they’ve been brought to by utilizing means other than war. But personally, I thought that this show was more enjoyable than the other. Also, I liked that Makoto was more charismatic and dynamic as a character than Rimuru was. I feel that he had more…
