It is an spinoff of an anime apparently, Tenchi Muyo that is. I only figured it out right after i finished the anime, which speaks a lot because you can totally enjoy this anime without prior knowledge of Tenchi Muyo!
as for the anime itself, it is pretty good actually. The story itself wasn't really unique, or greatest but it is really enjoyable.
as for the animation and graphic, damn it's good. It oddly have really good animation, which surprise me a lot. Which make me really happy that i found this hidden gem! the character design also really good. however this anime does have uncensored boobs and nipple, which make it a big turn around point for most people but i found it really appealing
The cast are interesting, in the modern day where MC sometime be a self insert or just plain an…

Tenchi Muyo! War on Geminar is a fun and fascinating mecha/isekai diversion from the main Tenchi universe. Its ties to the Tenchi franchise are vague and inconsequential enough so that viewers unfamiliar with the main story can jump right in without missing any important details, while those already in the know will be able to spot a few throwaway references that better inform Kenshi’s personality and motivations. As a standalone entry, I was pleasantly surprised by how intent it is on mimicking the style and aesthetic of 90s-era high fantasy. Its worldbuilding, while not the most unique, still proved to be exceptional at keeping me intrigued in regards to this world’s historical and societal makeup, and the semi-reptilian features of the mech suits fit much more neatly into this world tha…

the original Tenchi series was one of my first introductions to anime - and when I saw this War on Geminar series I thought it was going to be another series aligned with that storyline - however instead of our titular good boy Tenchi navigating the misadventures of his wild gang of overpowered lady pals we have an isekai'd version named Tenshi who is stuck in another world surrounded by a host of very powerful and capable pretty ladies. We have robot armor fights , we have a harem , we have a fantasy world , we have a big school , and central to it all we have Tenshi - probably the best boy ever who has mastered everything and impresses everyone at every opportunity. Self insert at will to feel good about yourself.
I really enjoyed this series because it has some decent animation - the…

This is a very good series with an interesting world, however, I feel like there is so much to the world that I felt I was missing. but the quality of the content and writing was so well done, I had to look up other reviews before giving my own, only to realize that this series is a spin-off of another series called Tenchi Muyo, which I've heard a lot about, but never watched.
So if you're contemplating watching this anime, I strongly suggest watching Tenchi Muyo first.
that being said, this anime works very well on it's own as a standalone series. the only references to it's source material are negligable and you can piece together how things work very easily on your own.
I definitely enjoyed the longer episode structure. it made the series feel more meaningful. there's nothing I hate m…

10/10 amazing animation for such an old anime. I found this while browsing crunchroll. Watched it and it was amazing. It did have a good ending and it does seem confusing at some points but it is really worth the watch. This is def a good old classic anime and to be honest be a hour each episode is amazing. Soo technically its 26 episode if u think of a episode 30 mins lol (13 episode). Watch this anime do it nowwwwww
Events were good. Story is lacking on background knowledge but it does make sense. Characters are well rounded. The anime does a good job at making you want to root for the character. Now one flaw is that when a imma call it a robot get destroy then a episode later they come back bc the character didn't kill the person so they do just keep showing up. Kind of weird. Overall…

Thrillingly entertaining, over-the-top, lewdly funny, mecha epic... and no doubt one of my favorite titles in the "Tenchi Muyo" franchise. While it is a stretch apart from previous series, I loved how there were subtle references to the original story despite the absence of characters we all know and love, it still retained the overt sexual humor and charm its known for. Also enjoyed this one as it had a more serious tone in contrast to the preceding series and while a number of the female protagonists were to an extent infuriating and annoying, they did have their redeeming qualities and helped drive the story forward. While I started this anime with a vague idea of what to expect, its approach and opening is what really drew me in.
The mecha I found particularly cool along with the dee…

The original "Tenchi Muyo!" OVA series and extended television shows are known as something of a cult classic nowadays. Pioneering the infamous harem genre, they did a surprisingly good job at balancing science fiction elements and off-the-wall romantic comedy.
Therein lies what made the original series so memorable: They were actually FUNNY!
"Tenchi Muyo: War on Geminar" suffers from a painful identity crises. It wants to be a VERY heavy political drama while primarily focusing on uncomfortably awkward comedy that never measures up to the sharp wit of the originals, usually opting for fetish fuel (massages that give all women constant orgasms for several days straight!) or idiotic dialogue ("I heard that boys from other worlds like being called 'baby boy' by their female teacher." . . .…

This Isekai, that doesnt have a lot of Isekai but we are reminded across the story that it is, can be divided in three parts across its 13, 45 minutes episodes: The first third, which is the strongest one, we are introduced to the multiple factions and characters in the story in a stream of intrigue and action sequences, I mean Magnicide is always an interesting topic. Then, we transition really weirdly into a shonen high-school romance comedy in the second act, this is where most of the story takes place, also all the goofy jokes, here is where I quickly lost interest, there are some moments that seem pretty cool, but is mostly a safe zone, the story doesnt take risks at all when has multiple opportunities, is hard to forgive. The final part is just a convoluted exposition of twists, cons…

TL;DR:This series is a mountain range of crap, an ever burning dumpster-fire, an inexhaustible manure-fountain. It's not just badly executed - it simply does not make sense and I don't think the author has a clue what he was going for.
I've just finished the anime (and I went through with it mostly by utter disbelief) and I think it has earned itself a place among my personal top three of worst anime ever (the other two being Angel Beats and Code-Geass Akito). So, if you - for unfathomable reasons to me - think these two are good you can safely skip this review as I highly doubt that we'll see eye to eye about what we understand as good entertainment or writing.
Now, having aptly set a perfectly neutral tone it's probably high time to give a couple of reasons why I'm so complete appall…

Save your time, do not bother trying it.
Aside from being unnecessarily long, the pacing is also too slow. There are too many plot holes, and is a stuck up for the main character. The women here are supposed to be warriors who'll pilot the big monsters they have, but instead, they are nothing but regular people that can't do anything but rely on a single boy????????????????????
The development of the story is too predictable it wasn't even entertaining. And the character development was worse.
The plot was loosely written, it was just a matter of convenience. I mean, they didn't explain why the mc is that strong??? Plus the holy land arc was really lackluster. How could a warrior inhabited land be filled with incompetent guards?
Every cliche isekai elements were presented so poorly, it d…

This is one that I always end up going back to as of how funny it is and how relaxed it is to watch. So starting with the story it not as good as some others i watch as it could have a bit more explaining and detail to it for me, but that is comparing story and detail with something like overlord. But that is the only thing I would want more off as I love the art with the mechs, character design and the over all flow of the anime.
I do really like how the character flow together and find there is not one i diss like which is normal something I find in all anime, but they are always a joy for me to watch and laugh at there reactions to what is going on.
The fighting in this is also very fun to watch with mechs and with out.
Overall all I do put this at a 10 as most of the time this amount…

First of all this anime series is unnecessarily huge. This anime itself is good. But at first it was super boring. The first few episodes are literally complete boring stuffs. The MC is dork, boring and preloaded with skills and power. Which is really a cliche.
Story was nothing interesting. It was a good story. Described well and directed well.
The animation is really top-notch. It is really premium quality stuff. The fighting scenes and other scenes are really good to look at.
The opening song was kinda good. I liked it. But the background music was mediocre. Too much plain.
Characters are really bad. Too much generic. There is no diversity at all. The character of MC is too boring.
Overall I was bored out of my mind at first. But I started enjoying the a decent story with a ver…

Should I Watch? Depends on your taste but I would say No.
First things first, the story was not great and in my opinion, it's dull. I feel like the story needs something the Mc could lose or have some real backstory at the start so I can feel for the character Kenshi. Everyone else feels like empty shells following Kenshi and THE AMOUNT OF TIMES HES GIVEN PLOT ARMOUR! I wanted it to be good but with Kenshi doing everything and everyone having no backstory it makes them seem empty.
The villains are bad for no real reason and have no proper reasoning for it. If they had good villains then MAYBE Kenshi could have a reason to fight them off or something.
If you don't mind a story you can see from a mile away, boring characters with no backstory then this is good but for me it needs more. Its…

I jumped on this a bit blindly because I was after watching everything in Tenchi Muyo! franchise.
Originally this was a looser spin-off since there ware just light hints about this in OVA S3 and GXP, but now OVA S4 and S5 are tying it a bit tighter.
Was expecting something a bit more mediocre since Sasami Mahou Shoujo Club was a letdown as S3 and S4 for Tenchi Muyo! OVAs.
Anyway, links to main series during this are basically mentions from Kenshi without even citing names.
It's an old-school isekai, when the character usually had a reason to pop up in another universe and intends to go back when possible instead dying in our current and boring world and not even thinking much about it again.
But like in more modern ones, the mc is op to a fault, even tough one of the main reasons for th…

Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari's story line is stereotypical at the start. With a bad ass main character, with a kind of innocent at the heart.
The anime is both good in sub and dub, which is often not the case. An anime full of recognizable "stereotypes" we come to love!
One thing is that each episode always has some fan service. There is bound to be sensual sneak peeks or sexual connotations especially while the girls tease Kenshi mercilessly. The jokes however, are neither tacky nor slap stick, just plain 'high-school' type of funny.
The main relationships, along with character and plot development pretty much happen around Kensh ( main character ) at all time. As the show goes on more and more women and girls gather around Kenshi, and in the end fall madly in love with him. A repeati…

Truly, this is just another fluffy harem anime. Completely low-stakes, no sacrifices, no real drama, no losses. It's one of those "safe" wars where everyone comes out smiling and happy. A completely predictable, by-the-numbers, story.
The primary goal of this anime is to give young boys and teens a vicarious fantasy to live out. Being ultra-powerful, and the desire of every attractive girl and woman in your near vicinity. It's really nothing else beyond that. Yes, there is some nice action here and there, some funny lines, here and there, but basically, it's just Kenshi showing off for chicks.
When I watch this, I am glad that anime has evolved from this time period to a certain extent. Studios recognize that the "MC who is scared of girls" is kind of played out. But, this, being an ol…

Before start watch this anime, I liked two things they are a genres and R+ Mild Nudity.
Watching the first episode, I was thinking that the anime will be just in my tase
but.... after second and third episodes however, I was going to drop this show, but later however, I was carried away not only by the main story but also by the main character and his story=I fell in love with.
If we talk about art then I put 7/10 they are all beautiful except the animation slightly lame (sometimes she's a bad) except liked very mutch how moving mechas and how beautiful they were is drawn. Sound and music also satisfied but could be much better 7/10. Character- MC-Kenshi- It would be a perfect hero if he were a romantic but..... QQ so many girls fell in love with him and if I were in his place then all gi…

Best Isekai Story before Isekai Trend
Isekai Stories have been repeatedly rising and sinking in this 3 decades
In the 90s we had El Hazard and Rayearth
Now we have cliched mass produced Isekai such as Death March and Isekai Smartphone
But in between those eras, there was Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari
One of Tenchi series, and the best along with GXP Even now still the best Isekai Harem Anime
The mecha and mecha battle was amazing
The heroines are more real than most stories, of course vastly eclipsing Isekai Smartphone
We desperately need sequel or a remake of this
Finally, the most important thing is the protagonist
Kenshi Masaki is unlike standard hetare protagonist
He's a strong-willed and brave boy, but not too much to be called Nekketsu
The traits modern harem protagonist shou…

With more than 15 re-watches counted, I think it's time I dug into the review of this rare gem and express my thoughts about it.
Let me start off the good points with our MC, Kenshi Misaki. He is a new intake to the common dense and generic MCs of a Harem genre. Kenshi brings excitement with his constant enthusiasm and energy when ever he is on screen so it's almost impossible to get bored of him. What really shines in him the most is his comedy. Whenever he gets himself in situations, he pulls funny and cute faces at the same time. The supporting characters bring their own hilarious and cute moments as well when they interact with the MC.
The music fits perfectly into the setting that the story is held in another world, despite hearing the same track played over several times like the O…

Personally I found this to be a very refreshing series to watch. Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari is a fantasy, action harem which manages to blend all of these genres together into an outstanding anime.
I enjoyed the fact that unlike most harem anime's out there, the main character has many skills and a personality to deserve the favorable attention he is given. The anime doesn't have accidental groping at every turn, and the story is not riddled with 'awkward teenager syndrome', by which I mean the interaction between Kenshi and the various women is not full of blushes, misunderstandings and enough innuendo to make most people irritated.
It is a spin-off the Tenchi Muyo series however it is a completely watchable series even if you have had no exposure to the rest of the franchise (I had…
