Run with the Wind excels through its ensemble cast rather than its plot. The ten runners form a delightfully mismatched group, each bringing distinct motivations and quirks that make their collective journey worthwhile. I personally enjoyed their chemistry and the little moments they shared together.
As a side note, I feel the twins were the weakest point, lacking much individual identity for most of the show. I wish they had explored their individualism a lot earlier. Additionally, Kakeru's point of contention felt weak and perhaps dragged on too long; watching him brood for the first half was a little frustrating.
The narrative has relatively low stakes compared to other sports and tournament anime, focusing on self-improvement rather than constant battles. Still, the characters bring…

It's been a long time since I have experienced an anime like this. "Run with the Wind", a sports/slice of life has become one of my favourite shows. To me, when it comes to media or entertainment, I especially value shows, movies, or anime that has a certain vibe maintained throughout the course of its runtime. We feel we are a part of that world; the vibe sucks us into it. On top of that, I also value relatability towards the characters in the media and their development. They teach us lessons no matter how big or small they are, but ones we can carry for our entire life.
After a long while, "Run with the Wind" gave me this feeling. I love its heartwarming, encouraging, inspirational, and youthful vibe present throughout the show. I also love all the 10 characters in the team. I could re…

We all have that one hobby or habit we quit and keep returning to, only to abandon it halfway and feel frustrated with ourselves. This anime captures that feeling beautifully through Prince, a character who resembles many of us, especially me. Even though he is terrible at running and would probably finish last no matter how hard he trained, he never gives up. His line, “I hate running, but if I hadn’t run with them, I would hate myself even more,” resonated with me deeply.
But Prince is not the only memorable part of the show. Each of the ten characters undergoes meaningful growth, and what Run with the Wind does so well is let all of them improve alongside one another. Their development happens simultaneously, yet it stays balanced and natural. Some viewers may find the pacing slow, but…

Treating the sport as a philosophy becomes the key to delivering a uniquely introspective and inspiring experience.
Run With the Wind is simply the best sports anime I’ve seen in a long time, balancing a goofy cast and some tropey moments with a realistic tone and sense of progression. At its core, Run With the Wind lands because it isn’t interested in competition so much as answering why something so tedious as long-distance running can win over people at such different points in their lives. Though well made and performed, the true excitement comes from resonating with the philosophy it presents through its characters, and desperately hoping that its realistic, tempered thesis shines through. Run With the Wind is about living in the moment, making the most of the lemons and lemonades li…

This show is an absolute MASTERPIECE. I never thought a show about a college track team could get me so emotional. This show is just one of its kind, genuinely.
The show starts off in a way that makes you wonder how it’ll really be any good. I wasn’t totally sure that it would be interesting to see amateur runners learn to run so late in the game. But, somehow this show made it so you absolutely fall in love with the story as well as each of the characters. It makes you hopeful for them, it makes you cheer them on from behind the screen. All you really want is to see them RUN!
Even at the climax of the show, you see each character face their battles head on, and it just makes you wanna sob. You don’t even realize how much you want to see them succeed, how much you want to see them win.…

Sports anime occupies a very special and iconic place in the history of this genre. The Japanese manage to bring sports competitions, whether ping pong, volleyball or basketball, to some incredible level of depth. This time we have a story about running. Yes, you heard that right, and you're thinking what could be interesting about running? And you're wrong! Each character is perfectly written, unique, and adds its own flavor to the story. The running itself is shown in great detail, with many details about real marathons. A story with a well-written plot, a clear and understandable plot, development of events, and a culmination and conclusion. Everything works well, like a well-oiled machine. It was hard to put it down. It was very interesting! I haven't received such a portion of warmth,…

At first, the anime may feel a bit slow, which can make it boring, but after a while it starts to move faster. We got to know one or two of the characters really well, but we could hardly see the characters from the other team, which made me a bit sad. I wish it had about ten more episodes so we could get to know everyone better; the ending felt a bit rushed. The animation was good. I liked Haiji more than the main character. He was amazing, and I wish he had been shown more. He felt very underdeveloped in the story. If you're looking for an easy, light anime to watch, you can check this one out.

(SUPER REALISTIC SHOW)
⫸Why Is it THAT GOOD?⫷ 1. It depicts how someone can improve no matter the time
2. Hard work always pays off, even if you lose in a game, you lose with pride in working hard
3. Strong are those who bear the pain until the end
4. Being good doesn't mean you're perfect. It means you're still improving
(These are a few of the teaching of the show. It's A MUST WATCH NO MATTER WHAT!!!)
Each episode had a unique teaching. I enjoyed each episode, as you could feel what it means to run, what it means to fight, what it means to NEVER GIVE UP. This show is SUPER REALISTIC. You could see, understand the life of amateur…

This anime changed my view on everything, it really is my definition of a life changing anime. Every character taught me an unforgettable lesson, be it learning how to kill old habits or always looking forward. I never knew it before but I do now, my undying fixation on animes with determined characters that is. I just love watching people do what they love and finding meaning in it despite how silly or corny it may seem. If someone asked me what you love of about humans I wouldn't give them a full answer, instead I would ask them to watch Run With the Wind.

I thought this show was pretty good when I first started watching it, but suddenly, one night everything just clicked. I watched the first 6-7 episodes over the span of like 3 months. I watched the rest in the past 3 days.
I'd like to start by saying I watched the first 4 or so episodes in dub, and while the voice acting being sub par wasn't that hard to deal with, Hana's VA in english just does not suit her at all, like literally unbearable. If ur watching the dub just switch to sub its much better.
The first episodes are kinda stupid cuz its a lot of bitching and moaning from kakeru becuz they're just a bunch of amateurs there's no way they could make it to hakone ekiden. Little does he know they are anime mcs... Everyone else is also bitching and moaning about running so it can kinda…

Absolutely amazing series. Combines all of the best qualities of Haikyu, while appealing to an older audience with its more mature characters and setting. Being set in university was a breath of fresh air, and (unlike with many high school shows) the characters suited their age and were going through the struggles that are relevant and familiar for that time in my life.
To have a sports anime with ten characters on the team, all of which (except potentially the twins) to be characterised and given the appropriate amount of attention with such limited screentime likely took a monumental effort and the writers should be highly commended for it.
I didn't want it to end, but to have the story wrapped up in 23 episodes with great pacing was perfect.
Loved the show, I wish I had seen it soone…

While I feel certain respect for the anime, I thought it meaningful to express why I was not satisfied with it.
What I really like here is the idea to build the plot around older, more experienced and laid-back characters. The dynamic created by that really allowed the creators to produce a more contemplative and intelligent ambient. Also, most of the characters are actually interesting, different from one another and likable. What's more, the story itself manages to convey the ideas without too much further explanation.
Consequently, it is extremely disappointig to see how much unnecessary explanation, annoying immaturity and emotional turmoil is "artificially" added to the story. Especially the first couple of episodes really overdo it when portraying the characters' disagreements. Add…

Well, first of all I'm not going to talk about plot of the anime cuz you can just read other reviews and figure it out by yourself, and I don't see a good reason for why I need to thoroughly describe you the plot of this anime because the main point of my review is to tell you WHY I consider this anime as a good one.
As you can see that the main genre of this anime is SPORT, so technically it's a Sport Anime, and from that point of view I can say that this is one of the best sport anime. But it's not really a "sport" anime and I'm going to tell you why.
Well, I looked up the reviews on this anime before writing my own and I found an interesting one, to clarify I really love this anime but there are some cons in it. As I said before, I found an interesting review where was said that this a…

good animation having a good number of distinct personalities among the characters. We get an overall hilarious and emotional taste from this anime. The anime's outro song was the aspect that I found particularly appealing. It features two distinct outros: one from 1 to 11 and another from 12 to 23. The first one, which runs from 1 to 11, is the greatest; I listened to it through without pausing. That tune, which will remind me of this anime, is also something I added to Spotify. It's essentially a sports anime, comparable to Haikyuu and Blue Lock. I will recommend this anime. I had a pretty good time watching this, short and sweet and fun overall!

This is a masterpiece that gets snoozed on. Don't let that be you!
WARNING: By the end of the anime, the desire to attempt long-distance running is almost guaranteed. Proceed at your own risk.
The animation can seem a bit goofy off of the poster for it, but don't let that stop you. It has solid animation throughout and fits the vibe of the anime. It is enjoyable for those who love the sports genre and even for those who aren't much of a fan. (None of the inner monologues are cringe with the "get on with it already" effect.)
This anime is all about creating real connections with people you never thought you would. Trying things and working towards ridiculous goals when others would tell you "It's too late for you to even start trying." This anime makes you question sport and rethink the…

What is the meaning of running, where is the finish line, where is our peak? The anime leaves several lessons that we will surely take with us for life: the lesson of practicing sports for fun and, finally, to win; the lesson of learning to live with people, overcoming difficulties, and never being alone wherever you go, even when you are alone.
"Run with the Wind" is an anime where we follow the story of Kakeru and the track team overcoming their difficulties, learning to live together, and becoming companions in a way that the emotion will be etched into your soul until the last moment of your existence. It's surely the kind of anime that you'll watch ten years later and remember how good your life was and also that, in your own way, you have your story, just as the anime teaches. The a…

Coming from a long distance runner, while this show may not 100% accurate in its actual feasibility, it is 100% accurate in its message. Run with the wind is one of the most inspiring stories I've ever come across and it's themes of self reflection and perseverance helped me to realize what running means to me. These messages transcend running and have relevance in all parts of life.
Story: 10/10 - The story is portrayed in a way that is believable. Haiji is just a guy who wants to fill his dorm and reveals that it's the track club and the lease was more of an agreement to run. Obviously people are upset so they resist but overtime they succumb to Haiji's efforts. For the sake of spoilers I won't continue but the pacing of the story is done so that it never gets stale, as well as the cons…

Enjoyable sports show that focused more on the actual lives of the athletes. I loved every character and their personal issues, running improvement, and discovering their reason for running.
As someone who hates running, I really admire the willpower it takes to do something so difficult for such a continous strech of time. I know these aren't real people but it still inspires me to run myself. The story wasn't so much about pushing the limits or intense drama with other teams like most sports anime, which was refreshing because as someone who isn't a serious athlete but really enjoys sports, winning isn't everything. Feels amazing to win and have something to work towards, but I believe enjoying the journey and actually having fun playing the game is so much more rewarding. It was about…

JACKPOT!!
Dang this anime took me by surprise!
Do not let the first few minutes of this anime fool you, first question it'll have you ask is "Why TF would you invite a thief off the streets to live with you??", this story starts off seemingly completely nonsensical and throws an information overload ready to blend your brain into a smoothy, but not to worry, there's added sugar in the form of sweet sweet comedy
So STICK THRU THE MADNESS! Trust me it's worth it
First couple episodes are still very comedy driven, but at least once the pace evens out you get a semblance of what the story is and start getting to know the colorful cast of characters, you realize there was actually a reason for that whiplash of a start, wonder why Haiji is somehow st…

This series is not just about running; it delves deeper into the complexities of human connections and personal growth. Run with the Wind portrays the incredible power of friendship that can be forged in times of pressure and adversity. It beautifully showcases the journey of individuals who find strength, belief, and transformation through their shared passion for running.
One of the biggest takeaways from this series is the importance of self-belief and pushing past one's limits. The characters face challenges and doubts about their abilities, but as they persevere and achieve their goals, they undergo tremendous personal growth. Witnessing their development into mature and well-rounded individuals was truly inspiring.
Run with the Wind emphasizes that victory is not the sole measure o…
