I watched Idolish7 at a very young age I was 13 the first time I saw it, only because I was watching almost every anime of the season back in 2018. I remember I LOVED IT. I grew older, stopped watching anime, and forgot about it until I turned 19 and started watching anime again.
My expectations were low. I used to watch every single anime of the season and I loved them all, but my memories of IDOLISH7 were so sweet that I gave it a rewatch. And, I'm not gonna lie, the first "Beat" was slow and even boring at times. Then I watched the second "Beat" and became an even bigger fan than I was before. This anime is not only very well-written, but it touches on topics that not every idol anime does. It's not a story about how i7 becomes the best and most…

I prefer watching animes that involve girl idol groups, but watching IDOLiSH7 was a sweet treat! It takes forever for me to watch a show, but I binge-watched this in less than a week! Each episode was unique. I was holding my breath during some parts of the show!
Without any spoilers, this anime is about an upcoming idol group that faces challenges as they progress in the industry. What I liked about this show is that it was quite realistic in terms of the problems the characters faced. Being an idol must be exhausting at times! What I also liked about the show is that all the characters had their own challenges and personalities – none of them were the same. At certain times, I was unsure about how I felt towards a character but by the end of the episode, I ended up respecting them beca…

IT'S PEAK don't let its nature of idol anime and the prejudice of that genre not being serious or meaningful talk you out of watching it. there's a lot of things i love about this anime, but mainly i think it's the way the characters feel so humane and genuine what makes you want to keep supporting them and watching them thrive. they're lovely, but they're also flawed each in their own way, and have different ways to face the challenges, individual o as a group, that come to them.
Give it a try! each group has an interesting story, the music is fire, and you will laugh a lot. and cry a lot as well probably
If it helps anybody, i would compare the feeling it gives overall to Free! iwatobi swim club, so if you watched that and liked it, you won't regret this one

This anime changed the trajectory of my life. Period.
Before you brush this off as an exaggeration, I would like to say that yes, I am blowing this slightly out of proportion but this is really how I feel towards IDOLiSH7. I've watched many anime, some of which are awful, some are alright and some are critically acclaimed masterpieces of their generation but I can say with complete confidence that there is no show that even comes close to being as good as IDOLiSH7. This review is 3 years overdue; hear me out.
IDOLiSH7 is a show about 7 boys --each with different motivations-- striving to become top idols in Japan's ruthless entertainment industry. What differentiates this anime from other shows that focus on the same theme is that IDOLiSH7 doesn't have a definitive stance. It accepts th…

Did I start watching this thinking it was going to be some wacky, almost embarrassing guilty pleasure? Yeah. I'm so glad it was much more than that. There's genuine substance to every character. The genuine drama and the truth behind the idol industry are such a brutal reality, making this a lot more serious than you think on the surface. Miscommunication, rivalry within the industry, stolen music, and sometimes the truth about why you want to be an idol is revenge, hope, and sometimes just complete fun. If you enjoy watching non-candid moments among a group of friends, genuine character depth, and dramatic and brutal plotlines, this is for you.

As someone who loves music and followed irl idols this is disaster
I only like trigger and zool thats real idols musician groups
Not only the design of 7 rainbow group was so bad hair design, face focus their outfits also ugly n disaster on stage
Everytime i put normal speed to enjoy the damn music or dance discography suddenly the music stop and it switched to drama
Hell what is this music theme or delinquent theme or talking no jùtsu theme At least play the damn music properly not switched the camera to other situations smh this is why i dont like idols anime
I dont start watching 2018-2020 bcs im still busy enjoying irls idols comeback n concert
The only thing that saved this show was trigger design, outfits, dance and their songs
I also enjoyed trigger albums song the most on sp…

In this anime there isn't a story at all, some things go on and thats it. There are idol groups and their 10 year old girl fans. Idols sing and the kids cheer and nothing more goes on in my opinion. But did I watch every season of it? Yes. Because even thoguh this show is written poorly, it is actually really fun to watch. I do not even like any of the IDLOSH7 members, they are not interesting at all, but again, as the show was giving joy to me, I kept watching this thing.
So, I would recommend this even though I find it objectively bad. The show being "fun" is more important than it being "good".
To summarize, this is one of the shows that being bad makes them good

Let me start this off by saying that I am not at all the type to write reviews... HOWEVER, I really had to make an exception here, because IDOLiSH7 does not get the credit it deserves at all, and if my dumb little review can somehow convince even just ONE person to give it a try, then I'll feel like I've made my contribution to society.
Idol shows are an... acquired taste, so to speak. A guilty pleasure for many, a snooze fest for a lot of others. Especially for an idol show where the majority of the cast is men, a lot of people tend to immediately write it off as "yet another reverse harem for the female gaze", and while I agree that women are definitely the target audience here, that's not really what this series is all about.
IDOLiSH7 at it's core, to me, is one of the more realistic…

This is one of those animes that remind you why you consume this medium. It certainly doesn't have the best animation quality, sometimes using CGI that's a bit regrettable, but this series knows how to convey happiness and uplift its audience. There's a lot of drama, and it can feel like a soap opera with so many conflicts, but that very aspect, which could be seen as a negative, keeps you hooked and eager to see what happens next. The characters, who initially may seem quite cliché or annoying, quickly win your heart, just like the group TRIGGER, which I find excellent.
I also have to mention that having many characters with questionable backstories in terms of writing and drama is something that lowers the argumentative level. However, in general, you can see love behind this anime.
As…

IDOLISH7 walked so Oshi no Ko could run
I adore Idol anime but not going to lie, a lot have problems that aren't so grand? Not to mention a lot don't get so deep into the characters that you are practically weeping for them. The drama, plot and story start out so simple but with real insecurities, fears, fights, strife and turmoil that makes you want more.
I truly wish more idol anime would go this route or even slice of life, not just having one or two episodes about a problem then it resolves quickly.
I apparently haven't typed enough...a factor that other might not like about this is based on a game and the actual group are actually Idol with music videos so it's fairly obvious that major things like the group disbanding wouldn't happened but honestly, it still could!…

IDOLiSH7 is probably one of the best if not the best, idol anime I have ever consumed. I am a huge fan of this genre and anything with a similar vibe. This show follows the lives and drama of IDOLiSH7 from formation to debut. Their struggles are so real and ones that, despite being an average human, are so understandable. The music is always beautiful, and the mixture of animation styles is so fun. The comedy never fails to land, and I was kept on the edge of my seat every time I binged it, and I think at this point, it's been about five times. It's one that hooked me from episode one. Even the ending was beautiful, which is so rare in the idol genre. You will laugh. You will cry. You will smile. There is a character for everyone, from pervy men to cuties to flirts and everything in betwee…

7.5/10
My final rating for this series is 7.5, but after a lot of thinking I decided to round it up to 8. I didn't expect to like IDOLiSH7 as much as I did!
For an anime about idols, this one focuses more on certain characters rather than the idol plot. Of course, there was some more spotlight on, for example, Riku and Soga, but I found all of the boys quite likeable (especially Nagi. He's great.). I am not particularly attached to any of them but hell, it's a good series. The team experiences a lot of ups and downs throughout, as well as their own personal drama, which keeps the show interesting.
My only complaints are that the rise to fame seemed too quick and the pacing was odd at the beginning. Some tropes are a bit cliché but in a good way. The 3D segments were clunky and awkward,…

as a person who's evading idol related anime, i am really glad that i give this anime a chance. at first i tried watching this anime 1-2 years ago, i watched episode 1 and then i dropped the anime cause i feel like it's quite boring. and then this year i tried give this anime a chance, it suddenly turns to be my favourite anime, i got hooked at episode 4 and binge watch all 3 seasons. now i'm promoting this anime on tiktok so more people will watch this show. this anime is too underrated. it is not like typical idol related anime.
ENJOYABILITY 10/10 VERY RECOMMENDED A MUST WATCH

I love this show a lot! When I first started it, I had no idea how I'd like it because I don't really watch idol shows (apart from watching Zombieland Saga) but I'm so glad I picked it up! Let me just tell you the animation, music, character design and characters personalities will pull you in to this show!
I love all the boys in idolish7, it genuinely feels like I'm watching an idol group climb their way to the top! I love how the boys have to actually gain fans and popularity by doing side jobs to put their name out there, and open for other artists - it makes the show feel real. It would have been a little unrealistic if they started out super famous and popular, so I'm glad this show thoroughly takes you through idolish7's journey. I also love how there are other acts in the show, eve…

Idolish7 where do I begin with this anime overall. Through the first watch of both seasons one and two I found myself thoroughly enjoying the anime. Now, I must say that I am a person who if you recommended an Idol anime to, I would have been saying a few choice words about yourself. I was one to scoff at Idol animes, but I decided to evolve as an anime fan.
After watching all of Wake Up Girls, Bang Dream(Argonavis included), D4DJ, Idoly Pride, Oshi ga Budokan(to a lesser extent), and Idolish7 as a whole. I have to say Idolish7 really stood out to me the most. It felt like a nice starting from the bottom anime to a rise of a group that put in the effort. Everything left you on the edge of your seat or bed, when you can watch it from start to finish. The characters feel developed, and thi…

This has got to be the best idol anime and maybe even drama anime I have ever seen. The music is phenomenal and the characters.. I can't believe I'm saying this but I genuinely loved every single one of them! There was not a single boring moment and I was never disinterested. I can't believe how fast I binged this too!
This is 10/10 in entertainment and the MOST fun I've had watching a show! Episodes seemed to go by in minutes, which goes to show how much fun this was. The music was darn catchy and the drama was well-thought-out *especially anything related to health conditions* and the way they resolved everything felt natural. Nothing was cliche or stereotypical.
Yes, there are ships, but you could always watch without any of that. They are a group of guys who bond over time and lear…

IDOLiSH7 An anime that catches you from the first chapter but before starting keep this in mind.
It may be that my review is based on experience playing (not this one in particular) if not on visual novels made by fans as well as some anime of this style.
The story basically follows the life of a group of boys who want to be idols but with the great difference that each character has their problems and as each chapter progresses you go deeper and deeper into the lives of these boys.
Now this anime as I said from the first chapter catches you since it does not start with the typical group with talent and they are the center of attention (practically they are God) as it is not a reverse harem as seen in the vast majority of this type of anime where the boys love the girl and the world rev…

My first idol anime watched after a recommendation by a friend, if this is your first time venturing into the wonderous world of idol anime watch this first! You will not be disappointed!
The first episode itself already caught my undivided attention with its premise, interesting characters. As the season goes on, the development is fantastic not just in terms of its story but each character as they go through their ups and downs in the idol world. However, they ain't alone. They are a team!
Each character is great as they develop and grow and together in a team they make Idolish7 unstoppable. Moreover, it's believable. Nothing is ever as simple, everyone has their own reason for doing certain acts, acting certain ways and more. It shows life is complicated just like the idol world.

Went into this anime thinking it would be a harem based anime and oh my was I wrong. This anime has an amazing plot and the character development is extraordinary. I love how well they throw in plot twists. This is truly one of the best animes I have watched!
Also, the cliffhangers are superb and the art style is magnificent. Every episode is addicting, they truly have no bad episodes in this series.
Oh and for all of my BL lovers. This anime is not classified as a BL but if you let your imagination run a little wild I'm pretty sure you can have your fun, like I did, in creating your fanon ships.

"Shaking your heart" (A pharse from their songs) (No spoilers)
Okay so this is my second review and guess what this is one of the most underrated anime which I've ever seen
Also there is this thing stuck in people's minds that idols are for girls...! Nope!
This anime really caught my attention although I am not at all interested in idols and I am dead serious about this
Idolish7 or I7 in short really is much more than your typically reverse harem show......its all about the struggles of a group of idols that wants to reach the skies ! Simple right?
Well it's simplicity is what makes it great and let's talk about the music their first song "monster generation" And second song "natsu Shiyoze" Damn these songs are like the more you hear the more addicted you become
I don't think one shoul…
