Highly recommend for: Fans of visual kei, fairy kei, J-pop and C-pop, and handsome boys like NOCTIS Lucis Caelum come to life... or if you're a fan of Suwabe Junichi and just want hear him say seductive things. If you enjoyed 'Kamigami no Asobi' or 'Bonjour Koiaji Pâtisserie (Bonjour Sweet Love Patisserie)', this anime will also be totally up your alley. Do not recommend for: Everyone else Full reiew: Judging from the negative comments, I was sincerely expecting the worst. Went in with a very low bar and was pleasantly surprised. From the get go, the protagonist's voice pissed me off, but that's because I dislike Sawashiro Miyuki's high-pitched whine (she plays Sasada Jun in Natsume Yuujinchou). Aside from her, no complaints about any of the voice actors - they were amazing. I came for S…

Personally i love this anime. i see alot of people saying its all pink cutesy shit but its really not. on legend star shit goes down man. anyways the characters were very nicely plotted i think they all had a solid background, and after you start watching them awhile you would think their personality is massively different but they all somehow become best friends which i think is quite nice and creates amazing comedy. The art was amazing especially if your picky about art personally 10/10 for that. As you can see my enjoyment is a lot and i really like this anime. Overall i really like it and really recommend it.

Shows in this vein are somewhat fascinating to me. The only reason they seem to exist is to sell copies of whatever game or other media they are associated with. When I was younger I had an almost guilty pleasure association with them because they are deeply contentless, unless you enjoy lots of candy coloured bishounen with glossy plastic personalities. Despite how mass manufactured they all are, there is still a gradient of quality within this particular sub-genre. For example. Diabolik Lover is nuclear level cringe, while this show feels more wholesome in it's complete ineptitude. Uta no Prince-sama becomes even more crystalline in it's intentions with further seasons introducing EVEN MORE boys to it's roster. It's practically a universal law that increased watch time with the same char…

Going into this anime, I didn't have high expectations. But I didn't expect to be this disappointed either. I came here because it seemed similar to Idolish7. While it is somewhat similar being a harem and a music anime, the level is completely different than IDOLish7. This anime was boring from start to finish. It was so bad that I actually watched all 13 episodes hoping that along the way it would get better. The female main character left so much to be desired. She had 0 personality. Her eyes.... I still can't believe someone approved those demon eyes. Those eyes were so unsettling. The other characters had decent eyes I don't understand why the main female lead did not. Think of an egg if you left it out in the sun for weeks. Being that it is an anime, " acting" really wouldn't be t…

This is an anime that a lot of people definitely won't like, but it's also an anime that you might love. This is one of those animes that heavily, heavily rely on your own personal taste. For someone like me, who likes light-hearted stories, pretty boys, etc - I loved this! Although, if you are someone who likes action-packed shounen, chances are you'll really dislike this anime. This anime is good - but calling it amazing would be a stretch. As a note, this is only the first season. There are more seasons. Another thing to address when it comes to this anime is how generic the "main character", Haruka is. She is like this for a reason, that one being so that viewers can self-insert, and also, this is adapted from game series, so since she's "generic" in the game also follows her into…

Have you ever wondered, do I wanna waste my time and regret every second of it while watching something that is so bad I wanna die? No, well you might. This show, oh boy.... Let's start with plot, oh wait... it's a pretty girl being friendly with hot guys? Amazing and wait, it's a game adaptation, oh that makes sense, honestly plot is pathetic, poor, unoriginal and at least better than characters in this show, so that's something. Now you're wondering pethetic plot like this is better than the characters, how? Well, I'll tell you cuz the characters Haruka, the main girl is such a basic girl character that contributes nothing to the plot, oh did I mention she attends music school and aspires to become like her idol Hayato who she conviniently meets like the rest of the group? Sound decen…

The story is ok, but the sound is good. The voice actors are obviously talented singers and their voices match the characters well. The story progression is slow, charters backstory and friendship, sprinkled with some romantic hints for heroine, takes up most of the episodes. The heroine herself is a generic otome game heroine, which is to be expected as the anime is based on an otome game. Art is pretty good for the most part, in some episodes or sequences though characters were almost unrecognizable. Other than that, it is a nice-looking anime art style. All in all, it is a pretty good anime with good music.

Before my review, I'll say this. I don't like harems, and I don't like romance. So why did I watch this? Well, a few of my online friends liked it. Quite a few voice actors from one of my favorite anime are in here too. And some other random reasons. Story What story... you mean the story of how creepy-soulless-eyes gains the love of some dudes...??? I have no idea what story this is. A distinct lack of story. Nope. Art Besides creepy-eyes, I think the art was pretty good. Sound As a music anime I think this was okay, though uh, ?? They sang? It was cool, I guess. I like the opening and ending, and the music in between I've mostly forgotten by now. Character ... I don't know what to say. There wasn't really character development. I don't really like the people who are way too helpful a…

One day I thought "I'd like to watch some harem anime and it would be good if it focuses on music" According to this why wouldn't I watch Uta no Prince. It matches perfectly. So I started and then...wow where my beautiful ladies are. Can you believe that? Here is showed a male harem. To be honest I had never heard about such a creature before. However, I didn't give up and finished it. To top it all of the show was good enough that I'm writing this. This review is rather on plus so I'm gonna focus on positive aspect. How expectations should you have to not be disappointed? If you want to feel gentle pleasure instead of various and powerful emotions it's for you. So, the plot of this series is not going to flood you overwhelming action. It's this kind of when everybody acts in right way,…

I didn't know that when I started this anime that my entire life would change. I have a new thing for reverse harems because of this anime. I've never wanted to watch a girl with lime eyes succeed in the world of Music. My biggest complaint about this anime is Diabolik lovers is just a better story. While this anime focuses on building a band and watching them fall in love with our Lime Eyes. I found that this was pretty lacking for character development. This anime reflects my life me as a person. I have lime eyes and all of the boys in my life keep wanting to date me. I'm not sure how I could find an anime that relates to me as a person but it actually exist! I am HAPPY with how this anime starts off but it left me wanting more after the season ended. If you have lime eyes and are…

First and foremost, this is not really a romance series as it is a reverse-harem one. There's not really much to say about UtaPri so I'll keep myself short. I'm okay with the general premise, but the whole run is, summed up in 2 words, dull & unfulfilling. A lot of scenes happen that make no sense and some things happen way too fast and leave you with unanswered questions. Why, how, or when? The characters themselves don't give you a lot of reasons to genuinely like and care for them, especially with Haruka since she's another example of a main girl that's just there, simply. Each one of the main boys got an individual episode which has fleshed them out, but not much or in a way that's immediately obvious. The soundtrack is good for idol anime standards, you could say it's fitting at…

So, the songs were bomb. They kind of had to be with the seiyuus in this anime, right? Um, so the story in this anime was lacking to say the least. Honestly, it wasn't the worst thing I've ever seen, but it didn't really have a direction to speak of until the end. Actually, I think my main issue was that the anime couldn't really pick a genre, which messed up the flow of the story. It was a comedy, it was a drama, it was a shoujo, it was way too much. One thing it undoubtedly was, though, was a harem. I'm sure there are some good reverse harems out there, but this one was very blatant about it. What I mean by that is that you'd have a couple guys that were into this main girl that had a bit of a basis behind why they liked her, but the rest of them? Zero. They would have like one conver…

Those wondering why I gave it a middle score, even though all you are going to see is me mostly complaining, is because it's pretty similar to most otome games turned anime shows. Plus I normally use these as a way to find new otome games that may peak my interest compared to a actual anime to watch on its own. OK, so first things first... OMG THE FEMALE CHARACTER!! I understand this whole "lets make the main female as bland and submissive as possible" so people can think of them self's as that character, but oml save me please. Just throw her and the no-name girl from amnesia in a room together, they have so much in common they'd be BFFL's. What would of made it better even though it wouldn't have happened would be if they made her red headed friend the main character instead, she had mo…

[STORY] - 8/10 ----------- The story, climax, and the ending of this anime was not the worst, but it was also not the very best. The beginning was really hard for me to understand, but as I kept watching this anime, it started to get a little bit more interesting. The ending also left me in tears of happiness. It was truly a beautiful ending, and the ending was not a disappointment at all. [ART] - 8/10 ----------- For an anime that was released from 2011, I expected the qualities and graphics to be a little bit more 'stable'. When the scenes were both dark and bright, the scenes were very blurry and there was a lot of small pixels I could see throughout this anime as well. The background and the scenery was very well put together. The school architect and the nature of this anime was spo…

Apparently a lot of people really enjoyed this based on its score, so I'm not going to tell anyone not to watch it straight off the bat. I am however going to leave some notes that I wrote down while watching it and my final thoughts after watching the final episode. * They made sooo many scenes excessively dramatic (especially the ones that really didn't need to be) to the point where I find myself laughing at what I presume is all the wrong places, not because it's actually funny but because I don't know what else to do because it's so absurd and uncomfortable. * I stopped in the middle of this anime to read the reviews to see if it gets any better and in a review someone mentioned that the girl's eyes has the color of soup. Now I can't unsee it and it's turned into a show of 6 hungry g…

First off let me say how much I enjoyed watching this. The music is just so catchy that I had to download it for myself and I have it consistently playing on repeat and can never get bored with it. There is some romance in the show since there are one girl and many many boys, but it goes through how she helps them get famous and bring out their true potential. The storyline wasn't the best but it is worth watching if you have watched this I advise you to watch the second one, I have yet to watch the third but at some point, i plan to.

I can't really say that i enjoyed it. It could have been a lot better. Characters: First of all, the main character. She was kind of pathetic. How can someone, who can't read music at fist be so good at it? She is over sensitive, thinks that she is the most important, know-it-all person. Plus the other 6 dudes, what was up with them? Syo should just throw his hats away, plus the red head had an annoying voice. I'm sure not all of them can sing. Story: I can say that was kind of heartwarming story. Some stuff did not make any sense to me at all. Like the first episodes first few minutes. Haruka was late but so was the red headed dude, but he was let to go to the exam right away. How??? Why?? Besides how could Haruka grow so important to them in so short time? Just doesnt make sense at al…

Ah, reverse harem. A section in the anime universe where girls (and guys) can escape to and fangirl over unnecessary fanservice and have their expectations set at an unrealistic rate. I must admit, I am one of those girls, and I'm not ashamed of it. After finishing an action-packed anime, I thought I'd calm things down with this anime, and I was not disappointed.  If you're looking for a show that has romance, comedy, drama, amazing music, AND a great plot, you're in the right place.  The art in this show was incredible. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, was colorful in a bright and beautiful way that really expanded on the cheerful atmosphere that the anime was giving. The design of the characters was also one to be thankful for. Having attractive male leads in a reverse harem is a mus…

I wanted to like this so much more than I did. The voice cast is godly and superb. The characters are loveable and fun. The story, in general, is interesting. The music is fantastic. What killed me (and pretty much ruined me on watching beyond this season)... is the heroine. This will probably sound petty and lame, but who in the hell has orange and green eyes with no whites to them? I honestly couldn't stand to look at her, it bothered me that much. Combined with her wishy-washy behavior and attitude, I would have preferred she not be in the anime at all. I wanted to watch more of the season because I honestly adore the entire male voice cast, but I just couldn't. I could barely make it through this one.

I honestly don't understand why this series gets so much hate. Honestly, I can see why people giving this horrible reviews, I don't care for this season too much myself. However, I still think you should give it a shot. Story: 6 This is the least exciting season of the series, and the lowest scoring section in this review. Yes, there is a conflict, but it doesn't make for a dramatic story. Also, most of the season has what I call "focus episodes," meaning there are episodes dedicated to concentration on one particular character and Nanami's interactions with them. Some of these are good episodes, others are a bit lacking but do have funny gag reels. Yet once we get past these episodes, you're already more than halfway through the series and its a bit of a scramble to make it to the finis…
