Amnesia

Introduction

After fainting at work, a young lady awakens in the back room of the café she works at with no memory of her life or those around her. Two of her friends, whom she soon learns are named Shin and Toma, are called to help her get home safely. Once she is alone, she meets a spectral boy named Orion that only she can see and hear. He explains that she lost her memories because of his chance visit to her world, so he vows to help her remember who she is. However, regaining her departed memories without worrying those around her may be more difficult than she realizes. In addition to the gloomy Shin and the protective Toma, she must be wary of arousing the suspicions of the captivating Ikki, the quick-witted Kent, and a mysterious man who lurks in the distance. As her amnesia entangles her in the lives of each of these men, her fragmented memories return piece by piece, and the mysteries of her circumstances slowly come to light. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

This is honestly one of those anime that left me confused from the very beginning and even now, I still don’t fully understand everything that happened. Sometimes the story makes perfect sense, and then suddenly something happens and I’m like… nope, lost again. Hopefully that’s understandable, because that’s exactly how the anime feels. But weirdly enough, that’s also part of its charm. The shifting timelines, the different routes, the mysterious atmosphere. It all creates this strange, dreamy feeling where you’re constantly trying to piece things together. Some moments click, others don’t, and then suddenly you understand something only to lose the thread again five minutes later. Even with all the confusion, it’s an interesting experience. It’s unique, emotional, and definitely not somet…

Amnesia is a rather popular one or, at least it was back in the day (which surprises me a lot). It's one of those titles almost everyone has heard about but, that really doesn't make it good. Based off of an otome game, the art-style is very pretty but the protagonist has weak personality traits to seem more relatable to it's viewers who seek self-insertion. That makes it absolutely terrible to watch because the heroine ignores red-flags throughout the ENTIRE thing! She doesn't even have a name of her own, for God's sake... overall, only put your time on it if you're bored.

Adapted from an otome dating sim game, Amnesia involves the Heroine (literally her name as a self-insert character) suffering from amnesia as she interacts with several men whom she has varying relationships with and can interact with a fairy named Orion, only she can see. Attempting to piece together her lost memories, the Heroine finds herself whisked into some supernatural circumstances. This adaptation has enough problems owing to its dating sim roots and largely seeming like it has more focus on advertising the game instead of making an effort to do its own take on its source material. It looked like Amnesia chose to use its supernatural angle to explore the different story paths in the game to explore the Heroine’s interactions with the different male characters she interacts with i…

It's a basic romance anime. The heroine is surrounded by some handsome boys which is not so bad. She must uncover the truth about her past and her relationships in order to regain her memories and find her true love. It successfully blends romance, mystery, and the supernatural.. The animation is nice and gives this dreamlike vibes. The character development is nor bad or good, with some good emotional connections while others feel rushed or underdeveloped. The protagonist's lack of a distinct personality is kinda annoying. I really like the opening it's sets the mood for the anime. In the end it's worth watching. Despite some narrative complexities and uneven character development, it offers a unique experience. Fans of visual novels and mysteries may find "Amnesia" to be a captivatin…

"An interesting mystery story hindered by an abundance of unnecessary words. MC could easily not exist if it weren't for the fact that it is HER story being told, yet instead, we see her living it in a completely passive manner. She even reaches the point of allowing more than painful things to happen in order to maintain her position. On the other hand, the design of male characters is well-crafted, with clearly defined personalities, especially noteworthy is the excellent work done on Ukyo. The story gains increasing interest after a few chapters, and the ending feels satisfying albeit incomplete. Recommended for passing the time.

Overall Impression: A convoluted plot, questionable designs, and a memorably terrible protagonist add up to make this one of the worst shows I've ever watched to completion. I don't recommend watching it, even in the sense of gawking at a car crash. Positives: + If you like goth twinks, there are a lot of them here. + The ED is pretty catchy, I guess. Negatives: - A stupid and unlikable protagonist. Officially credited as "Heroine", the main character of this reverse harem series is so unbelievably dim-witted that you will be screaming at your screen in frustration every time she puts herself in mortal danger out of sheer idiocy. We're talking "toddler wandering into traffic" levels of self-awareness here, and that's not even an exaggeration since *she does that exact thing more than…

Are you a lonely teen who really wants a perfect boy to tell you that you're cute and kiss you during break? but you also want a multiverse, timeloop plot? but you ALSO want to date a cute and romantic interpretation of joker (like, the card joker)(and the other cards) ? Then this is pretty much what you want! Do I have to explain this is an adaptation of a PSP visual novel? because it is - and because of that I just went in expecting a bad story and character development, but it's actually pretty good! You see, It doesn't ask too much from you, it's simple, but well made. It's about this girl called... oh wait, they actually don't tell us her name - she is pretty much just a vessel for you to live the story through her eyes - She wakes up one day and doesn't remember anything, not even…

I completed this series even though it was so fucking horrible because I thought there was gonna be like a good plot twist in the end...................... Spoiler, there wasn't. I mean, it was good until we reached that crazy killing part and I know that this is based on an otome game and that's why the ending was so open ended HOWEVER, I feel that they could've portrayed the story better. Or atleast not make it be so fucking awful I CANNOT EVEN. I'm still disappointed by this anime and I feel like I WASTED the time that I spent watching this anime.

In my personal opinion i really like the reverse harem genre. i like seeing hot guys surround one single girl. i just do. that's why i think amnesia is a good anemia. but the story was mediocre, it wasn't intriguing IT WAS PLAIN and BORING. the mc was very very bad, i didn't liked her in the first half of the story, but when she started talking a bit more rather than being a complete mute, she was fine. don't know why how she pulled so many hot guys, something must have been wrong, and something WAS. the story was poor. and the yellow guy keeping her in a cage was very weird. then the bue haired guy having surrounded by those creepy ass girls and never asking them to leave was so fucking wrong and weird, like those girls literally harassed and bullied the mc so many times, both the blue ha…

I think this is my first review. I can't hold back the urge to write one because of how many bad reviews it has. First of all, if you don't know, this anime is based on an otome game with the name Amnesia: Memories. As someone who didn't play the game before watching, (I have already played the game until kent's route) I enjoyed this pretty well. It can be quite confusing when it comes to the plot if you don't know the story in the game though. So I recommend, to fully enjoy the anime, play the otome game first. I assure you that you will love it. The story goes like this: MC had an amnesia because of Orion (He will guide the MC that has an amnesia), and you will play different routes (shin, ikki, toma O_O, kent, ukyo). Basically, each route, it is a different universe. So maybe if you a…

MINOR SPOILERS: Story 5/10: I'm going to get straight into the point. Amnesia starts off with a young female who doesn't have a name and is referred to as "Heroine", or "The" Heroine. She first bumps into a rather useless and annoying fairy called Orion. Because they bumped into each other, she for some reason loses her memories; thus, Orion helps her to get it back. But wait... there's more. Every time the girl dies she goes back to August 1st for some unknown reason, and every time she does, she is the girlfriend of one of the main males. The premise is interesting enough to catch your attention - but the way they made it out to be in the show (or the execution, rather) is terrible. The logic of the anime doesn't make sense either. I can't really say much because I forgot 70% of the a…

The story of Amnesia isn't exactly your typical romance, it is a tale of a girl trying to find her happiness with a different guy every few episodes. I thought the plot of Amnesia was pretty mediocre, admittedly I enjoyed the first few episodes but after continuing I found it pretty boring and VERY repetitive to say the least. There isn't much I can say about the story of Amnesia without me sounding like I'm completely hating on it; overall I believe the story was ok and will give it the credit of being fairly original. As I said earlier I enjoyed the first few episodes of Amnesia but found it hard it enjoy the rest. I found it a little irritating to complete the rest of the anime. I may have even really liked the anime if it wasn't so mad, far fetched and repetitive. Characters: Each of t…

This is like every other anime from otome games or whatever. But the choices were cute, the main character wasn't as annoying as you'd think and she rarely went with anyone truly. I mean I think if I was in her place id do the same. Now when writing this review it's been like 6 years since I've seen it so I have nothing more to add than everyone else. Just know obviously it's not a typical romance. apparently, play the otome game says others so go do that for a full explanation or whatever. I think i was team yellow hair whatever his name is silver hair guy gave me old man creeps and stereotypical ice-cold green hair guy gave me kyoya vibes and was just not good. The main black hair male was actually fine and nice but you'll see for yourself which archetypes they fit in.

The size of the brain of whoever wrote the plot, is massive, they need their ass ate. Looking past the funky animation and character design, the show kept us on the edge of our seat for numerous nights. It was a emotional rollercoaster. Started it as a joke, after binge watching diabolik lovers, and were pleasantly surprised by the thiccness of the plot and the multiple plot twists. overall fantastic watch, unironically would recommend. As Oscar Wilde once said "True friends stab you in the front." which was exactly what got us to the ending and what broke the loop. TO THE PEOPLE THAT SAY IT'S CONFUSING: it's not. You just didn't watch it all. They took 10 minutes out of the final episode to EXPLAIN the plot, right there, under your nose. To the people who say it sucks: no... you suck…

So, I played the video game a few years ago and really enjoyed it. Unfortunately this anime didn't do the visual novel justice. I watched the English Dub and the voice acting isn't the best, The main voice actress and Orin are fine but everyone else sounds so stale. The voice actor who plays Toma doesn't sound the way I thought he would but that's just my own projection, he sounds like a middle age man not a young college student. the same goes for Shin. The animation and music is pretty. I'll just stick to the game its a lot better in my opinion.

OK! I'm first gonna start off by saying that "for anime based on an otome game it's not that bad" I've played the game and I watched the anime when it was first airing and have rewatched it a few other times. I can see where they were going with the story and how she never really goes for one guy (that's usually how it is with reverse harem anime, any ways) but it honestly makes sense because there different timelines and worlds, to begin with. I do kinda wish they could have gone more into each character's routes or not have changed the original story for them. Like for Ikki's and Ukyo's episodes they have very vague parts of the original story and scenes that are cgs put in, but the context behind it is weird compared to the original story. Final thoughts are for an anime adaptation of…

I sense most of the reviews are from people who have not touched the otome game, in which I can see why they feel the way they do. I highly recommend playing the game before or after watching this, as the game gives a whole lot more time to explain so much more, with way more depth. One really important thing the anime does not have that the game does, is the MC gaining her memories. I feel like the anime is more of an add on to the game, rather than it being on its own. Also if you liked Kent, highlllly suggest playing the game, the anime did not do him justice which was upsetting. Overall, it is a cute anime, the end was pretty sad, I got feels. The plot was pretty laid out, easy to understand for only being 12 episodes. If it was a longer series it probably would have been better being…

I watched it for the pretty boys and that's all there was to be honest. I feel that the anime didn't really do well because they took parts of the different routes and put it into one anime, making it confusing as fuck for people who don't already know the story. Moreover, they tried to divide the screen time equally among the guys, so each of them got quite little screen time and there is not enough time to really get to know them. I played the game afterwards and the anime felt like it was speedrunning through the game

So for an anime on it's own, it's pretty bad, but the reason why it's not all that bad is because it's an anime version of an otome game. So it does the job - it's just a girl jumping from ikemen to ikemen and seeing what life would be like as each of their girlfriends (so it's basically just the otome game in the form of an anime). *shrug* nothing wrong with that if you're into the otome game (which I am) but thumbs down if you're looking for depth or meaning or something. It's just a pretty girl (with a rose theme going on for her for some unexplained reason) experiencing life with hot men, which has its own audience.

I am going to be a little bit nice on this one but I will give out my personal opinion.first off The main character should not be in this show. the main character was very forgettable throughout the whole anime, majority of the time I kept calling her 'the girl' because I thought they never said her name. she is a bland meal with the bland side foods. the only times I liked the anime was when her 'friend' ghost guy came and then he will leave after 2 minutes of his screen time. I got very bored within the first episode but I thought to watch all of it because there is only 12 eps and it will be a waste on to not watch all of it.
