Literally made me roll my eyes at every point, loved it, I will be playing the games. I read fanfictions about this anime but never knew the exact plot because I'd watch clips on YouTube and nothing else when I was young lol. Yui has such a pretty design to then be the most stupid girl ever. I usually watch stuff in dub but I had to watch it in sub because of Laito's very very affectionate term for her. If I had to pick one of them I'd pick Kanato because I love his type of personality in characters.

That was the most amount of nothing I've ever watched. At first, I was surprised that the episodes were so short, but now I'm surprised they were able to come up with 14 minutes worth of plot each episode (minus the 2 minute intro & closing). God she was stupid, and a pathetic damsel, and who's also unafraid of murderous vampires? Every episode was the same script from a different part of the house, and she's always in her uniform but they never go to school? wtf did I just watch seriously.
If you like wasting your time, then go ahead and click play. But if you prefer to watch shows that make sense, go ahead and scroll away. I'm tempted to watch the 2nd season just to see if the writers finally sobered up enough to tie everything together, but I'll have to be bored beyond belief for that…

Should you watch this anime? Yes Is it bad? Also YES, is it the worst media i have ever watched? Definitely not. I do recommend watching it in the sub version to make it more bearable but it is definitely an anime everyone should watch at least once. I have been on a mission this year to watch exclusively bad rated anime and it is something that helps set standards for watching 'good rated' anime, so for that reason i say watch it but you dont have to pay too much attention to it, especially with the first.. 5 or so episodes?

a kind of anime that is the sole reason that makes one believe rating systems should allow for negative numbers. something that could communicate the sheer disbelief of having seen the whole thing. however, since there's no such option, the lowest rating must do it, i guess.
'diabolik lovers' operates on a truly baffling assumption that glorified assault is cute when a lineup of pretty boys performs it. just wrap abuse in somewhat polished visuals like it's the most fashionable dress and call it a day... but how about no?? as if pleasing aesthetic could overwrite the fact that yui, aka the main girlie, isn't even afforded the basic dignity of having her own voice, let alone means to fend for herself in the face of verbal, physical and mental mistreatment coming from all sides.

Very much a "turn off your brain and enjoy hot vampire guys" anime. As other reviewers have noted, there is little plot or character development and most of the half length episodes are instead dedicated to sensual blood sucking. An enjoyable watch for some, but if you don't really have a kink for that type of thing then you won't get much value out of this (obviously).
There is also a cozy vibe to many of the scenes and OST which caused me to often get sleepy while watching this. The mansion is kept quite spotless for a bunch of lazy vampires without a maid or butler. The good vibes combined with the female oriented fanservice made it a nice anime to unwind to.
Also, "bitch-chan" is a hilarious nickname.

This was honestly one of my absolute favorites at one point, it even held second place for a while. There was just something about the atmosphere, the characters, and the whole dark, dramatic vibe that pulled me in completely. But over time, it slowly slipped from that top spot. Maybe it’s because I played way too many RPGs with a similar theme xdd, so the whole concept stopped feeling as fresh and exciting as it used to. Still, I can’t deny that I really like the anime. It has a unique charm, a specific mood, and characters that are unforgettable in their own chaotic, questionable, vampire‑boy way. It’s just not the “best” for me anymore, not because it suddenly got worse, but because my tastes changed and I’ve seen a lot more since then. Even so, it remains one of those shows I look back…

Our protagonist is always a victim in this anime, but beyond that, there is an occult revelation seeking below all of the victimization and abuse. That is the only prime appeal of this anime, thus rating is in accordance.
The reason it has been rated this way is that it will appeal to those only with deep dark fantasies(Fetishingly) or those who are looking at other angles of anime tagged "Vampire" . Even appealing to be a "reverse-harem"(even though it is just a harem of multiple men for one woman), the character dynamics are not diverse, since practically all of the Sakamaki brother are too similar(Not just by relation, but demeanor) except one. This is not an appealing characterization
However it will not be of optimum, meaning of appetizing watch for an anime under the tag "vampire"…

This is, without a doubt, the worst anime I have ever seen. It's so bad that it makes me reconsider the handful of 1's I've given. If 0 were an option, I'd give it this. As a few other reviews said, it really makes you rethink what one considers "bad anime". It hits all the check marks of a bad show for me. Trivialized romance? Check. Boring? Check. No characters to like? Check. Lack of plot? Check. Psychological abuse? Check. There's probably more, but damn you could give a 5 year old a color crayon and some blank pieces of paper and he could come up with something better.
I try to come up with somethings I haven't seen mentioned by others to make the review worth reading, but the main points have been already written by others.
Technically, this show is very sloppy. I haven't played…

This is the best worst adaptation of anything I've ever watched.
I never played the original games but for some unknown reason that even I can't explain nor remember, I decided to watch both seasons TWICE, although the second time I watched it with a friend and I gotta say, I had a blast.
The story, the direction and the characters are terrible. If I think of it, the only thing I probably liked was the voice acting bcs I know most of the voice actors from previous animes. However, the fact that I watched it with someone who has the same sense of humor as me and that's sarcastic 24/7 made this experience very enjoyable. We laughed every episode from beginning to end and joked about everything that happened while trying to predict what stupid move the mc would do next.
I guess you get it…

This anime is incredibly bad omg. I don't have high standards let alone for this kind of anime, I feel like the idea behind could have been fun? What a waste. I finished watching it bc it's short and easy to watch once you get used to the stupid ass dynamic. I mean, I expected to see some hot anime guys being sadistic but this anime really failed to make me feel anything at all. The first chapters I was like, well this is just bullying? Poor girl. But then the initial repulsion I felt vanished completely, that girl is just pathetic. So, I can't even say I feel repulsed by it, this is plain water, I'll forget about it tomorrow.

Eh, tbh I watched this when I was 11-12 years old. Bc nostalgia, I thought it would be a good idea to watch it again
And DAMM there is lot of red flag. The game (in my opinion) is better and it was quite difficult for the anime to decide how to process it. Also, the manga is...interesting?
But please don't watch the anime. The main story is about Yui. Due to her father's request, she had to move to an unknown place, where she soon found out that six smash vampire guys live there and she realizes that she was given an "offering".
That's all I wanted to write about the story. In the game, the story was based on our choices and I have to say it made me quite sad that... we got this. Like we could have seen Yui go completely crazy and kill everyone and escape, but no... So the story gets…

This anime was bad, to say the least. The anime is basically just a girl running around while a bunch of vampires bite her and bully her. One of them even uses "bitch" as a nickname for the FL. I remember being pretty confused and I mainly finished it because it's easy to binge it all in one afternoon (or night if you are nocturnal like me XD). The only reason this anime isn't one star is it was made mostly to promote the game series which isn't bad (and the vampires are pretty hot lol). Overall, not worth the watch in my opinion. I'd say check out the games instead, I've heard good things about them.

DO NOT PLAY THE GAME IF YOU ARE SENSITIVE TO SA, there is no warning for it once you open the game.
Watched a few years back as per a recommendation from a friend of mine, finished it and season 2 over like 3 days and saw other people saying the anime was a bad adaptation for the game. Frankly, after having played the game not too long ago, with how little content the writers of the anime were given to work with, the anime isn't that bad of an adaptation of the game, it's just that the content they were working with is genuinely abhorrent. I'm kinda glad that the anime did take a little bit of creative liberty especially for the parts of Ayato's route they put in.
Again, it's not a bad adaptation of the game, the source is just terribly written. The writer clearly has not thought much…

It's what you expect from a otome anime adaption, it just doesn't really work because of the many routes... Also I know a lot of people had a issue with the plot because everything about it is morally fucked but personally I kinda like the idea, its just I had a big issue with the main character... We had little insight about how she was feeling, every scenario doesn't feel like it's ACTUALLY from the perspective of the MC as the scenes don't portray just how scary and traumatizing it is (Kinda makes it hard to relate and understand the MC), each past event also feels like it didn't really happen because in the next scene/episode they just act like nothing happened, and last complaint is it could've been better if we had a stronger, dominant MC to be that voice of reason and to put the mal…

Wow. I'm speechless, after spending over 4 hours watching this truly one-of-a-kind anime, I have yet to process the feelings it bestowed upon thyself. One will go to extreme measures for entertainment, no doubt. However, for the love of god, this is NOT the solution to your boredom. I went into this show thinking: "How bad can it be?" and bad it was. SO BAD, so bad that I think of the times of me watching this as a traumatic memory and my brain attempts to cover it up. Now, why would you watch the full season? I'm sure you're wondering, and to that I say, this show resembles a bad car crash. It is so horrible but you cannot look away, you want to know just how bad it gets and you slowly come to the realization that Satan himself must have been trembling as he watched the Author of this man…

THIS IS A VERY BADLY ADAPTED OTOME GAME!
I kept watching because of the good-looking guys but gosh, it's so poorly done. The plot and everything else in the story is barely explained.
It's sad because it has great promise. I do like these kinds of smexy stories once in a while.
I expected there to be some sort of sexual tension. Or a tease. Or a hint of romance. But it didn't meet any of that.
Because as much as some of the scenes are trying to be "hot" . . . at the end of the day, without proper build-up, and without any decent plot, it's hard to find the show sexy.
It's a short anime with only around 12mins per episode so it's fairly easy to finish.
I am tempted to see season 2 because I am sligthly hoping it will get better, but honestly, I can't even get myself to start that.

first off, while i don’t recommend this to others, i kind of love this show. it’s not good like, at all, but it’s so ridiculous that i accidentally fell for it lmao.
i used to hateeeee this show, like my first time watching i thought it was the worst show i’d ever seen, i even wrote a review on it that i now deleted to write this one. i love reverse harems a lot and there aren’t a lot of good ones out there, and this one isn’t good either, but i love it. i actually want to play the games really bad because they look like they might be better than the show (like the mc might actually be happy in the games while in the show she hates every single thing that’s happening to her) plus the story looks like it might be better structured depending on the route you choose.
like with my last review…

I think this anime's biggest issue is the fact that it's reached an audience that's clearly not meant to be it's target audience.
In it's core, this anime is based on an otome game, and as silly as otome games may sound to some, they are but a genuine interest to many. Many otome games have incredibly well written plots that happen to have the already existing conflict and story also revolve around a romance between the player and a character. Yes, a character, not the whole entire cast of the game, or at least, not all at once.
Many times companies have tried developing anime series based on otome games, and each time so far has been an utter disappointment to the fans and a laughing stock to the non-fans. And this anime, sadly, has had it the worst in this aspect.
The whole point of…

One of the first animes I've ever watched as a little girl. I'm not completely sure who recommended this anime for me, if i remembered i would punch that person, but it was a adventure for 12 years old me.
The story is kinda confusing and can be very boring for someone who's already 15+ since the story is pretty much about the male leads bullying the poor girl.
Talking about the characters, when I was younger I was obsessed with them but looking back I need some a psychologist lmao. The art is really beautiful and I love the details between each one of the characters and the voice acting is delicious!
If you watch this anime you can only simp but won't create any particular bond with any of the characters. I wouldn't particularly recommend this anime for anime, maybe if you're kinda b…

this show is some of the most abhorrently nasty shit i've ever seen, and yet it absolutely fascinates me because i honestly genuinely think it could be made decent while changing very little about the premise. i can see it becoming a pretty good psychological gothic horror if it were actually framed that way (as opposed to the solely titillating approach it attempts to take) and if yui, the protagonist, had been given the smallest modicum of internality. as it stands, the writing itself objectifies her just as much as the boys do, and it's really... troubling.
the utter lack of insight into yui's thoughts and feelings make her extraordinarily boring and cause her to come across as very stupid. it's hard to feel bad for her even knowing what a nightmare this predicament would be in real l…
