Yes, the MC is miserable, but that's the entire point. It's not supposed to be a whimsical romance story, it's supposed to be a sad mature controversial one. I mainly like this anime because the characters are really well written and it gets the mood across really well! Characters also aren't one-dimensional or over-sexualized like in many other animes. If you're one of those people who need the MC to be perfect and never make mistakes, you probably won't like it though, he definitely has flaws. Overall it just somehow got to me, which is why I rate it 10/10. The ending is good too.

Good part, Love animes where the atmosphere is just pure silence and lets you intertwined with the character's feelings, where you feel their rushed feelings and hesitation. Every decision they make hides a deep regret and meaning. Bad part, I can never understand seinen romance...the way they let their feelings thrive selfishly is such an adult thing to do, this anime had been insinuating about the incest element but didn't gave us a normal closure. But if I am not mistaken, the closure/ending represents their happiness and delinquency, where he is fucked up in the brain as well as the girl's future is fucked up. Gotta say, this anime is special and gifted, it shows raw emotions, human's true nature, I'm not able to experience their situation but this anime will forever haunt me, may this…

Koi Kaze is a kind of show you don't casually throw on while eating dinner. It's more like finding a beautifully written, deeply unsettling diary and feeling kinda guilty for reading it, but also unable to put it down. So, what's the deal? In the plainest terms possible, Koi Kaze is about a brother and sister who fall in love. I know, I know. Just typing that out makes me pause. But here's the thing: the show knows exactly how you feel. It's not here to sell you on the idea that this is a sexy, forbidden fantasy. Instead, it grabs you by the collar, sits you down, and makes you watch a slow-motion train wreck of human emotion. Most of the story unfolds inside Koshiro’s head, and it’s not a pleasant place to be. This guy is agonizingly aware that what he's feeling is wrong. He's the adult…

Am I the only one that watched this and thought 'god is dead and we killed him'? This isn't some brave subversive artistic philosophical anime about the nature of romance, this is an insane delusion. 'Beauty' is just about the farthest word from what I would use to describe it. Anime like these are why we don't deserve good things. If you've ever watched to catch a predator or any police or journalist interview/interrogation with a pedophile, you will notice how the predators' explanations and justifications sound very similar to the themes and points in this show. In fact, this show was really just a pedophile's depraved justifications made manifest. With every subsequent episode it only got worse. They try to argue why an underage person is 'actually really mature for their age', handw…

Koi Kaze isn't your average anime. It hits you right in the feels, with a depth of emotion that's hard to find anywhere else. The story itself is intense, but it's the characters that really shine. You get this real sense of their internal struggles, their hopes, their fears. And the music? Don't even get me started! It perfectly complements the mood, from the soft, melancholic pieces to the ones that swell up during the more dramatic moments. It's like the soundtrack is living and breathing with the characters. Everything about Koi Kaze just comes together perfectly. It's beautiful, it's heartbreaking, it's unforgettable. Just be prepared for an emotional rollercoaster, because this one will stay with you long after the credits roll. But hey, that's just my two cents. This anime isn…

Welcome to sweet home Alabama. No joke this anime is better than the entire state of Alabama, so you should watch it if you are not too sensible on the topic of incest. Good story, good music, Ok animation, and decent characters (except Koshiro at the beginning is kind of unlikeable for being mean to his sister Nanoka for little to no reason). Nanokas friends don’t really affect the plot at all, except for this one boy that asks her out during the culture fest, in which she declines saying that she is not ready for a relationship. I didn’t really care for the ending, because it is a cliffhanger they do not tell their parents about their relationship and we can only believe that they will stay together without telling them. Overall I found myself enjoying most of this anime, I don’t feel as…

This show literally was just one scene away from being great. One scene completely ruins it and changes what could have been a pure and responsible relationship into an unforgivable mistake. Love can have many forms and meanings for different people, so maybe many will disagree with me. I think even between siblings, it is completely ok to say openly that you love each other, to hug and be physically close. It is not common, but it is not necessarily bad. Physical touch can be comforting and calming. It doesn't need to cross into lust or pleasure. There may even be cases where it's ok if it eventually does, though I know I'm getting into muddier waters here, so I'll stop. It is irrelevant to this show anyway, as a clueless 15-yo girl saying she loves her big brother certainly is not such a…

I know there is but one problematic element to this show, but if I were to give you one reason to watch it, it would be the characters trying to figure out what they mean to each other. We have a protagonist whose life seems to be going nowhere and we have the secondary character whose life hasn't really begun. All it takes is one simple moment to spark a relationship that is truly worth investing 13 episodes for. Next to that, we have an atmosphere and music that treat the progression of their relationship rather delicately and punctuate the rather distant feelings that seem to occur for much of the show. I related quite strongly to the main lead not interested in the partner he previously had, so there's some bias and self-insertion there. Overall, it's a show worth trying if you're…

We have ourselves another controversial anime and I was really having a tough time with how I wanted to review this one, just because of the nature of this series. What we know going in is that there are instances of incest, which almost feels like a norm in anime these days, so if you're strongly against seeing this portrayed, this is probably your queue to stop reading this review and go on to watch something else. Story & Characters: Love Wind starts us out with Koshiro Saeki, who works in a small office that does arranged marriages. He lives with his divorced father, but seems to be able to hold down his job. Not long into the series, he gets dumped by his girlfriend, Shoko, because she falls for someone else and tells Koshiro that their love their felt cold and distant. He then start…

Koi Kaze's attempt at tackling such a rabbit hole is admirable especially as it heads right into it without holding back. It takes a much more serious approach than what you see in anime covering incest and age difference themes. This makes it more realistic but at the same time a lot more disturbing. Its ability to present itself as an ordinary romance story whilst having an ever-present unsettling undertone is what sets it apart from a lot of other anime that try to tackle darker topics. It does not have it just as a fetish nor does it act as a moral guide. This is because it does not force any opinions on you and instead spends that time fleshing out the characters, which in turn makes their struggles seem more human. Due to the characters feeling more real and as we are given insight i…

I’m not sure why I went down the rabbit hole of incest anime, but here I have arrived. Koi Kaze is very well done. The way this series is portrayed emotionally really strikes a chord in your heart. It handles the taboo topic of incest in this emotional sense and does really well. It is also an anime that takes itself very seriously which adds to the emotional aspect (great soundtrack as well). It plays into the emotional aspect of the topic and makes you think. It doesn’t matter whether you think it’s right or wrong. I find myself struggling to put the series into any sort of moral construct. The ending felt very bittersweet, but it felt right.

OK! OOOOOOOOK! WHO IS READY TO GET CRUCIFIED FOR THEIR OPINION! ME! PICK ME! I did not enjoy this. Now let me be specific here. This is not a horrible show or something that I will tell others is bad or god awful or something. No. This show was just not for me. I did not enjoy this. Why? The taboo. Yeah I know, big shocker. Look at mister original here, not liking something because it tackles a social stigma in a realistic way that makes the viewer as well as the characters feel uncomfortable. Like it did what it intended and I couldn't enjoy it. Mister original award goes to.... ME! Oh wait... this is the band wagon award... Damn. Joke aside. Koushiro meets a high school girl after getting his heart stomped on. He, at first, doesn't care. However, when circumstances lead him to go to th…

No, absolute trash being glorified as a deep anime. Whether you're someone that detests a brother and sister mating, or advocate towards it, the choice is in your own personal opinion. And if the moral judgement is on you, then you are the one that has to weigh in the pros and cons about that. Concerning the incest topic: Thankfully, we live in a world where laws can regulate moral concerns where traditional common sense fails. More importantly, we are not raw acting animals, despite how we share the same Earth, we as human beings are smart enough to know it's not right to stick your wee-wee in everything that fits just because we say we "love" it. Humans have standards, and those standards normally involve basic logic like -don't do it with your own daughter/son, -dont do it with your o…

I know that my rating may seem exaggerated but it's really not. The story? Inexistent. Art? Disgusting. Sound? Obnoxious. Character? NANI? There's no character development. Enjoyment? None but I just can't ever drop a short series, I finish em all. Overall it's trash. Whoever thinks that this is good, you haven't seen anything good. The moment the girl understands that she's in love, nothing good has happened yet. Her brother has been an asshole to her the whole time until then and on his side, he fell in love with her underage body and that slave-like culture of japanese women, that's all. They haven't had much time together yet and she's just been doing everything at home and he thinks she looks good, that's all. There's no actual relationship being developed here. It's just 2 badly w…

I was pretty conflicted while watching this because, well, incest is sort of a morally "wrong" and sensitive/taboo topic. What I can definitely applaud this for is being what I would say is it seems quite realistic and isn't fabricated (?) to make it interesting. The anime never explicitly tells us whether or not Koshiro and Nanoka's relationship is morally right or wrong, I like that Koshiro's co-worker sort of provides an outside view or what society would think. I didn't exactly enjoy watching it because it did make me a bit uncomfortable and frankly some bits were outright cringe worthy. It's never really discussed that Koshiro is not only inlove with his biological sister, but also his minor and underaged sister. Similarly, it's brushed off that his coworker likes teenaged school girl…

It would be a lie to say that this anime isn't beautiful in both an aesthetic and emotional sense. The atmosphere reflects the essential purity of the two main characters love for one another i.e. the sunlight, cherry blossom trees, wind etc. and the flashbacks are similarly touching. However, where this fell flat was the unrealistic way the relationship was resolved. I know this was already going to be a very controversial and uncomfortable anime to watch, considering the massive age difference and incest, but i was fine to watch these two characters grapple with these feelings and attempt to reconcile them. However, it crossed the line, in my opinion, numerous times and made Koshiro seem like an innocent victim to these feelings rather than an adult man who should be able to see the harm…

Bottom Line: This series does an excellent job of humanizing some very difficult subject matter, and is a truly wondeful relationship study. BUT - if confronting and accepting some of societies strictist taboos is hard for you, then be aware: that is the central focus of this story. I will start with the art, sound and character designs. These have been developed by the show runners in harmony to be very calming, almost dream like... giving the atmosphere of the series a strong sense of normalcy and stability. The art being soft with many neutral tones and few stronger primary colors, quite watercolorish, while them music is mostly piano with string accompaniment gently underlying the soundtrack. The characters (even the MCs) would blend into the background crowds of other series, and thi…

i cannot believe anybody who watched this would enjoy it and yet this anime has such amazing reviews. it was really painful to watch. let's just ignore the poor art, sound and overall characters.. THE STORY: a 27 yo brother makes a move on his 15 yo (blood related) sister. THAT'S IT. there is literally nothing else to gain from this than that. at the beginning it looks like the story might turn to other quite interesting points but then they let those go completely....... everybody who says the romance is 'beautiful' has never seen a piece of romance before ? there is literally nothing there. the guy is super depressed, looks like a homeless and behaves simply pathetic. there is sadly no better way to explain him. she is the typical girl, zero personality, nothing interesting about her.…

As you can tell by my scores I did not enjoy this title at all, but I did follow it through to completion. Spoilers ahead, although there really isn't much to spoil, it's not complicated. Story: The story is very simple - a guy who's never really had strong feelings, develops a strong feeling of attraction for a young girl who he finds out is his sister. His sister has always had a bit of an obsession with her brother. Their feelings both blossom as they live together under one roof even though they both know that it is wrong. Eventually they get together anyway. It's a story of pedophilia and incest, yet somehow manages to be boring. There is no real character development at all - the entire plot story is the main character having feelings for his sister and feeling disgusted with himsel…

Welp...this is going to be a controversial review. Yet, I feel I have to write it. I heard that Koi Kaze was a very beautiful and moving romance, so I put it on my watch list. I just finished "His and Her Circumstances", and I loved that one so much I wanted to start a new romance anime. Koi Kaze isn't exactly what I went in expecting. Can a talented artist make any foul subject beautiful? That's one of the things Charles Baudelaire experimented with in Flowers of Evil. Within that collection, there is a poem called "Une Charogne" or "The carcass". The poem was called indecent and grotesque upon release because it vividly describes a rotting female corpse and describes the corpse in sexual terms. The speaker isn't at all repulsed because he accepts that death comes for us all. Even the m…
