Watching the whole Kokoro Connect journey including the Michi Random OVAs left me with a lot of mixed feelings. Starting with the main 13 episodes, I remember being drawn in by the body swaps and weird phenomena right from the first episode. It was a refreshing take on the high school anime setting because instead of just focusing on romance or comedy, it really made you think about how people hide behind masks and what it means to truly understand someone else. Watching the club members struggle through Heartseed’s experiments was surprisingly relatable. I found myself thinking back to my own friendships and the moments when I never really said what I felt.
Taichi as the main guy grew on me more than I expected. At first I thought he was just your standard nice-guy protagonist, but the w…

I have reviewed the series so, I'm just going to jump straight to the review.
The only thing that I want to talk about in this particular OVA is the story. But before that, I want to praise how great of a series this is. They make each arc unique, both OP and ED were different on each arc, it's so cool. Anyway, let's get into the main review.
Again I brought this up. The character development here, especially here is very centric and distinct. This is a growth toward Iori. Throughout these episodes, everyone doesn't really grow as much as Iori, and what they are is the plot device for Iori to grow. Again, not really a problem but just really ashamed that each arc is so distinct from the others and feels like a different alternative story.
Anyway, this is still a great series if you want…

Glad we got some closure on Tiachi's love triangle. Was pleasantly surprised that he chose Inaba #bestgirl.
Nagase's depression was quite interesting and felt very real and so did everyone else's reaction and interactions. —But that doesn't excuse how poorly executed it was. The show was making a point that Neagase can't be this; always a happy person all the time on the premise that that's not her true self. Yet they contradict themselves by making her do just that. And somehow seemed even faker than when she was pretending in season 1
And why did she forgive the bitch Setouchi so easily after all the bullshit she put her through. In my opinion, she should have been arrested, what a bitch. Also, why did Nagase befriend her even Tiachi was confused on why she did that. I know he was gla…

!! SPOILER-FILLED !!
A blank sheet. A few tiny words. Spaces and lines occupied through time. Overtaken by a handwriting that can’t be discerned.
Nagase Iori is not the author of her story.
Unveiling what’s hidden beyond the resident’s door and rearranging the contents and the clutter in an attempt to convey what comprises man (as a social creature) and their behavior in the face of life’s inevitable challenges collectively spread throughout functional entities in an attempt to give us an orb of knowledge focused on relationship and identity as a utility meant to be wielded for the neverending path to growth is what Kokoro Connect wishes to impart. Each and every phenomenon is geared to entertain the antagonist, Heartseed, by throwing the club members into an array of supernatural mes…

I try not to include any spoilers when writing a review like this, but I honestly don't think there's a way for me to express my thoughts on these episodes without elaborating. So...
[[ SPOILER WARNING ]]
Up until Michi Random I was a big fan of Iori, and Iori still is my favorite character, but this arc was executed strangely and I have very mixed thoughts on it all. On one hand, I see what they were going for here. What Iori goes through in this arc isn't all that unrealistic. Holding yourself together for too long and eventually cracking under the pressure, distancing yourself and lashing out at people in the process, is a very real thing, and that's somewhere I and many others have been before. Having an emotional breakdown, no longer being able to be your ideal self, and believi…

For the formalities, the art and sound design is pretty good so it is easy to watch the series without thinking about animation budget and voice acting.
Now for the story, it too is pretty good 7/10 just because the ending does not completely explain the reason one of the characters was acting the way they were.
These 4 episodes are continuation from the last 13 episodes of the story. But there is a slight difference to these episodes. The story here turned from 'Comedy' to 'Psychological', so if you are not ready for that you would be really frustrated by the end of episode 3. At least that was the case for me. Its not that the story in it self is bad but the fact that coming from comedy to psychological, I was not in the mood for that. Its a persona…

Why did they not have these episodes bundled with the parent show? I have no idea, for that would have surely raised the rating of the TV show marginally, it felt like the well-deserved ending that the show gravely lacked.
Yes, the fact that the plot yet AGAIN revolves about Nagase is extremely tiring to think about, it feels like she already had her arc completed already so these OVAs felt like milking an already dead cow. But surprisingly, it had a better execution than her arc had in the original series.
Finally, every character had a deserving shining moment, a whole 12 episodes series lacked this but this OVA came with a save. I like that the most.

Art (7/10)
Sound (7.5/10)
Characters (7/10)

You never know what's gonna happen in life. But if you believe in the path you take, that path becomes part of who you are!
Iori
Well first thing first, do you need to watch this to enjoy Kokoro Connect? YES! This is a must watch, because it gives us a satisfying conclusion that we didn't get in the first season. This wraps it all up nicely and ends it in a great way that completes the whole story.
As those who plans to watch this must've at least enjoyed the first part to get to this part or there's really no point of watching this one. As these OVA are more I would say, different from the first season. As they are connected by thoughts and not just switching bodies. You know how it is, we all sometimes have thoughts we think about people we're afraid to let it out in the open because…

(Quick Review)
So this anime was ok but it wasn't that interesting and these 4 episodes were just for finishing the anime and like the first anime, it wasn't that interesting. In these episodes we see how Iori is breaking apart because of the situation they are in and the others are trying to help but she tries to push them away but in the end, everything is fine now. So the sound and art are the same from the anime so nothing really hasn't changed and characters are the same just that we see it more focused on Iori problems but that's all we see in these episodes as we don't know much about who this person is, who's been messing with them and why they were targeted which leads some unanswered questions.
This anime was fine in terms to have somewhat of an interesting plot but for me, it…

first of all:
1.This OVA is way better than the main series ngl
2. inaba is too perfect she should be illegal
3. this show sould've shown more romance between taichi and inaba
Now then, that out of the way i should say one thing i could bitch about is how random this whole "heartseed doing heartseed thing cuz i'm bored" and it's really bullshit reason. also, i think if this show put more romance scene this show could be a lil more popular.
i should start by saying that this anime shows how people feel and how you could solve it as a group. i may now be able to right everything i had in mind but you get the point. it really shows how this character have develop through there hardship. and they really connect to eachothers heart like the title said.
i may only be able to rumble and say a…

-SPOILERS-
As a whole, I think that Kokoro Connect is a 7/10, but these last 4 episodes just felt a little lacking when compared to the past three arcs.
-Story- 6/10
The story follows the same formula as the other arcs, with a new phenomenon appearing and causing discord between the main characters. By this point, it seemed as though Iori's character arc had concluded with the last arc. This arc just felt like someone absolutely had to come up with a new conflict and couldn't end the series at episode 13. Iori had just seemed to fall and recover too many times for it to feel genuine this time.
Nevertheless, the phenomenon does allow for some interesting and unique ideas to be presented.
-Characters- 6/10
The main issue with this arc is that it feels lilke Iori is depressed for no reaso…

I'd like to start by saying this review takes into account all 17 episodes of Kokoro Connect. And that there will be minor spoilers throughout this.
Kokoro Connect is an anime I've been saving for myself for a while now. I'm a later in life anime fan. I grew up on Dragon Ball Z but beyond that I never really attempted to watch anything else until a few years ago where I dove head first and haven't looked back. I've watched too many shows to remember now and it's become rare for me to watch an anime and fall in love with it like I was doing early on. So when I fall in love with a show lately it means a lot more to me. That's what happened this week when I started watching Kokoro Connect.
Story - 10
Some people may think the story of this anime is overdone (Even for when it first came o…

Though I rated them the same, I don't think these last four episodes of Kokoro Connect were as strong as the first thirteen. Let's go through the positives first, though, because I don't want to completely scare people away from this anime.
#1: the humor in this anime is very appealing, at least to me. It's handled and placed very well in the plot so that it doesn't get too bogged down. Most darker anime tend to neglect the lighters elements of the storytelling, and it ends up dragging the anime down and making it too heavy. That isn't the case with Kokoro Connect. It'll make you laugh and smile for sure.
#2: the characters are pretty solid. With the exception of one (which I'll talk about later), the characters were all nicely fleshed out and consistent. They didn't have any weird, out…

I've never felt more betrayed by an anime before. I'm sorry but there's simply no way to express just how disappointing this anime is without spoiling the ending. this went from an anime i was about to share with all of my friends to an anime i hope to never hear or talk about ever again.
the producers either needed to make this anime 24 or 12 episodes. either fully transition and develop the relationship between Taichi and Inaba or just leave it at Taichi and Iori. the moments where Taichi and Iori truly connected and had something so special and honest it made my heart soar. watching it i was on cloud nine and the 10 episodes were utterly magical. i was prepared to give this a perfect 10. then for no reason the story just kept going and the romance just feel trampled on and tossed into…

"Wow, they managed to make something even worse than the first part of the show" was my first thought after watching this.
While the first part is just painfully mediocre, episodes 14-17 are absolutely terrible.
Why would they even add more episodes if they are not going to explain anything unresolved?
The show should have just ended with episode 13. Far from a masterpiece, but not as abysmal as this. But with the 4 additional episodes it became one of the worst shows I've seen in recent years.
If you ever feel like watching the worst melodramatic romance anime with horrific writing, this is it. It is really not worth your time.
2/10 would not recommend this to anyone.

Having watched the first season, i was a bit let down by the ending and i was hoping it's sequel will tie up the loose ends. I'm happy to say that IT DID, in every way. Now there's not much to be said about the series that hasn't been said before.
In my opinion, a very well writen story with an astonishing character development, which was the core of the whole show and amazing OST which helped accentuating what the characters were feeling in that moment.
An emotional rollercoaster, full of not only the peak of highschool drama, but happy moments, sad moments, confusion moments, and the best part? It draws the viewer in. You're not only watching it, you feel like you're a part of it. You feel what they are getting throught, you'll ride the rollercoaster with them.
The show is composed…

This is such a train wreck of an anime, so it's surprising this has a cumulative score of 8 on MAL. This is by far the most overrated and terribly written show I have ever come across. The character development is non-existent and Heartseed is just a huge cop out to vaguely explain the mediocre plot devices that drive an even more mediocre plot. Most of the conflict is flat out neurotic; It's boring and sometimes even hard to watch unfold. It literally took 3 thirty minute episodes in the sequel for Iori to realize what being a true individual means, and the CRC did nothing but act ignorant towards her very obvious cognitive dissonance the entire time. You'd think that after all they'd been through that they would be able to recognize each other's weaknesses or anything that could be taken…

Overall/Enjoyment - [10]
This anime for me was a mixture of Kimi no na wa and Toradora. The anime is just ... spectacular and overall I would recommend this for anyone to watch and experience of 5 friends who due to supernatural circumstances are forced to learn about each other and inevitably fall in love.
(BTW I had binge watched the whole anime up to episode 17. The best 7+ hours of my life.)
-Enjoyment [10] - This anime for me was one of the best and I enjoyed watching it all as I imagined the characters together as each new situation brings on new emotions. This truly was a masterpiece and I can clearly see why it was one of the top recommendations of Kimi no na wa.
- Story [10] - The story was unique but really reminded me of Toradora and the long triangle between three of the cha…

This anime was complete shit. Do people actually like it or are they ironically rating it this high? I will now tell you why this anime is objectively shit.
One of the main problems with the whole thing was that the drama was so forced it hurt. Nearly every arc focused on one person and made them have a problem for no reason. Iori was probably the worst of the characters for this reason. The only person with a real problem was the girl who was almost raped but that was dealt with early on.
Another problem throughout the whole anime was that the main character was such a prefect little Garry Stu that it was ridiculous. He calls himself selfish because he wants to help people so bad. If that isn't the biggest load of shit I ever heard. They could have made it cool by giving him a mental re…

I honestly couldn't have been happier with this anime. I think it was a really nice ending and I think anybody interested in romance/drama animes with a touch of the super natural should watch kokoro connect!
I think the original 13 episodes had a strange ending, but I suppose they had already decided to make a follow up season at that time. I can imagine I would have been disappointed if I had started watching this anime before the final episodes were released.
I especially like how the characters arent so typical. Quite often you'll get characters with typical personality patterns that are extremely easy to predict. I felt like the characters in Kokoro connect were more genuine and unique.
