Kuroko's Basketball

Kuroko's Basketball

Introduction

For the last three years, Teikou Middle School has dominated the national basketball scene with its legendary lineup: the "Generation of Miracles." It consisted of five prodigies who excelled at the sport, but a "Phantom Sixth Man" lurked in the shadows and helped earn the team their revered status. Eventually, their monstrous growth jaded them from the sport they loved and made them go their separate ways in high school. In search of new members, the Seirin High School basketball team recruits Taiga Kagami and Tetsuya Kuroko, two freshmen who seem to have significant differences in abilities. Having returned recently from America, Kagami has both a natural aptitude and relentless love for the sport. Meanwhile, Kuroko lacks presence and exhibits no outstanding athletic talent. However, it is later revealed that he is Teikou's Phantom Sixth Man—the player once part of the Generation of Miracles. Kuroko wants to prove to the Seirin team that he is strong in his own way. Seeing his conviction, Kagami forms a dynamic partnership with Kuroko, the latter promising to support Kagami's "light" as his "shadow." Alongside their new Seirin teammates, they aim to conquer the upcoming Interhigh championship, but the reappearance of Kuroko's former teammates complicates their plan. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

A show about basketball. And it's pretty good! Long story short: Once upon a time, kids gifted at basketball were all in a team. And they all excelled in their position. They were called "The Generation of Miracles". That's how good they were. But as they grew older, they split up in different schools, but are reunited through competition between the schools! From Team mates to Rivalry! And you follow an American who comes in contact with each of these gifted players :) And it kept me engaged it was a fun watch. Long, but once sucked in, these episodes fly by. Team work, funny moments, touching moments, bad ass wtf moments too! And very cool takes on "Anime Basketball". I say this because some of the things you'll see won't be realistic, but it's anime. I APPROVE. Only thing that bothe…

Kuroko no Basket is an excellent anime! Starting with the players who are super badass both physically and in their playing styles! Especially for Kuroko: He is the most discreet player on the team, nicknamed the “Ghost Player”. With a smaller profile, he uses his “Misdirection” technique to distract his opponents. Kuroko considers himself Kagami’s shadow, his light and promises him to become the number one in Japan. It’s an excellent profile because being tall isn’t everything, especially in basketball. In addition, they evolve over the seasons to perfect their techniques and to always become stronger. This is probably one of the reasons I liked this anime. It’s the sports Nekketsu. The animation and the character design are very beautiful, very fluid and very dynamic. The matches are…

Kuroko's Basketball is a sports anime. While it may appear uninteresting to watch an anime about a sport if you are not a sports enthusiast, it is important to note that the anime delves into more than just the sport itself. It places significant emphasis on the camaraderie and bonding among the players of each team, while also imparting a valuable lesson about the importance of perseverance and never giving up. The aforementioned phrase provides an accurate description of the entire anime. The characters have a shared objective and work together to achieve it, demonstrating trust and belief in one another. Even when everything appears to be lost, and even when they experience defeat, they consistently manage to progress. They shed tears and experience disappointment, but they have also…

To be straight to the point, I think KNB's biggest faults are its characters and their developments and story pacing. Characters + Developments: This part is very crucial in any story for viewers to develop a connection with the characters, and this is something KNB failed at doing. This is also prolly why the fandom is dead. The characters may seem interesting at first glance, but when you dig deeper you realize that there isn't much depth in them. Such as the goals of Kuroko and Kagami, their goals were very generic and just very plain, and even throughout their journey to accomplish that goal, I couldn't really see any changes in their personalities. They're just the same all throughout the show and there's nothing really interesting about them besides their "superhuman abilities" that…

Kuroko is supposed to be a sports anime, but it isn't even about the sport. Despite there being basketball games that take place, there is no real portrayal of basketball to be found. It is just a generic rule of cool anime that happens to involve basketball. The concept of superpowers in sports completely takes the point away from the sport in the first place. It makes the side characters irrelevant, and it completely destroys the foundation of the sport. Instead of placing the focus on the intricacies of the sport, we are focused on random superpowers. The characters are bland and uninteresting, and there are no stakes present in this anime whatsoever because of this. Characters: There is no reason to care for the characters on their journey because there is no reason to like them in th…

Kuroko's basket is an anime I wish I can watch over and over again and never get sick of. This anime focuses on the relationships, teamwork, victories, and losses of every character on every team. Friends to teammates to enemies to friends again. This focused on the main specific characters but still brought in the stories and opinions of everybody else. The outside relationships and friendships really brought this together for me and I cried every time I saw the Friendship evolve. Each character has their own individual story that was brought into the anime to create the storyline, and it all centers around basketball. Everyone has their own reasons and goals to want to play basketball, win as a family and as a team, and learn different things. This show was very inspiring for me even tho…

Kuroko no Basket The anime is basically about a boy that separates from his old middle school basketball team mates and he didn't like the way they developed to play basketball even though they were the best in their area. They basically solo played the sport instead of using team work and kuroko the main character of the anime moved on in high school with a new basketball team and they developed a playstyle that he very much enjoyed and he used his playstyle to conquer the high school basketball scene. Plot/Story 10/10 Animation/Design 10/10 Characters 11/10 Audio/Soundtrack 9/10 Plot/Story 11/10 The overall plot and story of Kurokos Basketball is really good in my opinion I really do just love every detail they put into this anime it is labeled as my number 1 anime and would always…

English. A quite entertaining anime that focuses on what basketball is and it works quite well, it entertains a lot in addition to planting the themes that we will see in the following seasons. In addition to the above, it does not stand out in many things, the protagonists at first glance are recognized by their hair tones that are very extravagant, the other characters are fillers, in addition to not seeing a united group or if the others mattered much. You have already seen the story in other sports-style anime and you may know which team will win each match if you pay close attention. The animation is quite mediocre but I think it's fine compared to other animes of the time (it looks like they wanted it even though they didn't have that much budget). I think it is an anime that is ente…

It was a good first season, enjoyed it, and I recommend checking it out if you prefer sports anime. There is so much thrill during a match begins, unique strategies are employed throughout the battle and outside of the battle also character development is done. Artstyle is also good, with a nice animation. You will enjoy it. From episodes, 1 to 25 lots of things happen and you will see the character development unfold. What I liked about this anime& season mainly comes from the basketball matches which are the center of attraction, these basketball matches are shown at an epic level.

This was an okay first season. It was a classic sports anime so it was exciting and dramatic. However, I was not drawn in. The art could be really choppy at times and the characters were cookie cutters. The Generation of Miracles is interesting and this first season sets it up well. I like that Kuroko is somewhat of a side character in his own show considering his skill is being overlooked. That being said, Kagami could have gotten more background information. We are not given a lot of information about any character which does not make me connected to them. This season was enjoyable and definitely makes me want to continue so long as characters get developed more.

Kuroko no Basket is that famous anime that at first glance seems to be good and harmless. For a long time procrastinating to watch, I finally gave it a chance. And WOW, how bad it is! It's so poorly written and the characters are so bad that it's torture to watch these 25 episodes. The story looks like a Slam Dunk fanfic, but in this universe the players know nothing about basketball and were born with supernatural gifts. Everyone has their hair color and their little power, because it would be too difficult to develop a real personality for them. And then Kuroko, a slow kid who sucks at basketball, wants revenge on his gang of ex-boyfriends by appropriating a US outlaw who thinks they're friends, and so we have something they call story development as we watch this one. dream getting clo…

After watching all of it's seasons, and it's extras I have a really damn good opinion about this anime. It's a sports anime, a basketball one to be more exactly, and the only one I know so far from this category, and exceeded my expectations. I don't have anything to complain about at this anime, the basketball matches are very entertaining, and I love being a witnesser at how real teamwork should be. The show is way more than awesome, and can be easily compared and hit a scale of enjoyment to that of other sports anime like Free! or Haikyuu!. The single thing that I felt discomfort in, was that some matches lasted even 6 or 10 episodes of the show, and many left us with a cliffhanger, and there was little backstory to tell us. But is good to mention how the anime mixed the "fabulous" with…

Most people would begin a conversation about Sports anime by contextualizing it, something like "Well, I don't really like sports", or "I'm a huge basketball fan", etc. I think this is kind of silly, why do we only talk about that when it comes to sports anime? Are we to assume, by the success of Naruto, that the world is full of wannabe ninjas that constantly study the ninja scrolls of antiquity? No, of course not, so please, don't cloud your judgment of this fantastic anime with such comparisons. To begin the converstation that way implies that watching an episode of Kuroko no Basket is like watching a game of basketball from beginning to end. Instead I would compare it to watching the WWE versus watching a real wrestling match in the olympics. You are going to see some of the sport, t…

the first couple of matches were just super boring, im not even going to try to make a buildup or something; they were a pain to watch. but as soon as Midorima's match started, we finally understood how scare the Generation of Miracles can actually be! This is the reason i watched the show- Super strong people on both sides. out of the 3 GOMs shown, i still cant say which one is the strongest (well, if you ask for my biast opinion, its Aomine lol) but there is SO little shown about them that its a foolish thing to judge them this quickly. Kise has shown so much improvent in just a matter of a few matches. I loved season 1 and im SO glad i kept going even though the starter matches were horrible and an eyesore to watch (i shouldnt go too hard on them though). I'm very excited for season 2 a…

I like that all members of the Generation of Miracles went to different schools. It will add to the level of difficulty plus more episodes for this anime (although I watched it a few years after hehe) I like that the story is focused on the phantom that is kuroko and his light, kagami. Both have the will to surpass the greatest teams. I noticed that most of the opponents are trashtalking the protagonists' team before they improve their game and often won. In all of kuroko's plays, i especially like the intense pass after an awesome shot by midorima, who i also like because of his absolute belief in horoscope. Overall, i like the anime because of the team plays and how it is shown to the viewer.

(Spoilers) A series that until the match between Touou vs Seirin Academy does not seem out of the ordinary, as it is the typical sports anime, the Touou vs Seirin match marks the promotion of this season, the defeat against Touou and the words of Aomime are the ones who initiate the development of Kuroko as a character, since, as shown in some flashbacks, Kuroko had a great connection with Aomine. However, the best of the series comes at the end, Aomine vs Kise, an incredible battle in which it was very difficult to predict who would win the game, an Aomine playing 100% vs a Kise at 110% a match worth seeing all the days.

What I expect from a sports anime, aside from the underlying inspirational themes, are cool visual sequences. This show had some of that, but it was offset by a lot of moments captured using single frames. There was also somewhat of a reliance on character reactions/thoughts in which frames held on one of them making a face (you know, the shounen thing where action/suspense is built from semi-narration and a facial change) and there was a noticeable amount of recycled stuff which was a bit of a bummer. Although the art wasn't great, I think this show has solid pacing. I didn't have to suspend my disbelief too much with characters' abilities. Characters were a bit weak and didn't have much depth, and, not to hammer the point too much, their heat-of-the-moment reactions got to be a bit too…

Kuroko's basketball needs no introduction. It is an exciting and very enjoyable basketball anime filled with many great moments. The story of Kuroko's Basketball revolves around Kuroko and Kagami, who are two highschool boys who join their school basketball team (Seirin.) The two are polar opposites of each other, with Kuroko being a shy, small guy who was only good at passing the ball and intercepting passes, and Kagami, who was a more outgoing, big guy who loved to attack the basket and score. The two and their team enter tournaments and compete against some of the best teams in Japan. The story is very simple, but it makes for a very exciting anime. Sometimes the story may come off as corny and repetitive, but it is still very enjoyable. The art of Kuroko's basketball is decent. It d…

Kuroko no Basket An anime which is really interesting to watch and is definitely worth it. He's certainly not one of the heavyweights among the sports titles, but entertaining enough in his own world. This anime has a lot of characters, including some bizarre and somewhat personable personalities. Ever increasing animations and visually beautiful presentation. And of course action-packed sports. In that sense, almost everything sounds good, and almost it would be. However, this work fails because of the implementation and characters. Sympathetic or not, they are mostly flat, their conversations are flat and you can barely interpret the character relationships. And the implementation of the basketball games is only mediocre, even if it looks very nice to the eye. The games often drag on…

I make it short. The story and plot are very good in the series. But it's very unrealistic compared to other sports anime, I'm not saying it should be 100% realistic but it's stupid how OP some charaters are. The main character in the show does not seem to be the main character but more a supporter, he is not strong, flashy or in any way for he attention or hype and I know it is is meaning he should be like a question but it is boring to follow such a the main character. If you like sports anime I recommend. Diamond no ace, Ahiru no Sora, Prince of Tennis and Haikyuu!
