The Café Terrace and Its Goddesses

The Café Terrace and Its Goddesses

Introduction

After his grandmother Sachiko passes away, Hayato Kasukabe returns from Tokyo and inherits her cafe—Familia Café Terrace. He aims to demolish the cafe and convert it into a parking lot, only to discover that his grandmother had taken in five girls prior to her death. The girls—Ouka Makuzawa, Akane Hououji, Riho Tsukishima, Shiragiku Ono, and Ami Tsuruga—evidently shared a deep bond with Sachiko, and they naturally refuse to give up the place they call home. They convince Hayato to change his mind, albeit reluctantly. Through this encounter, Hayato eventually remembers his past with his grandmother as well as his love for the cafe. Now resolved to carry on his grandmother's legacy, Hayato enlists the girls to act as the "goddesses" that will ensure the preservation of this precious abode. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

Good Pacing, Middling Production If I had to rate it out of 10, I’d give it a 6. First off, you can definitely tell the production budget wasn’t that big. The character animation is fine—at least nothing noticeably falls apart—but the backgrounds and overall visuals are pretty bare. It basically looks like an enhanced PowerPoint presentation, though thankfully it’s not so cheap that it becomes embarrassing to watch. The story itself is pretty cliché. Basically, Hayato inherits his late grandmother’s café, ends up living with the five girls who work there, reopens the place, and gradually gets into each girl’s story. That said, I have to admit the pacing is really good. They usually spend just one or two episodes on each girl, so things never really drag, although there’s definitely a bit…

If you have watched The Quintessential Quintuplets, you will probably feel a familiar vibe while starting The Café Terrace and Its Goddesses. At first glance, it looks like another typical harem romantic comedy, but as the season progresses, it starts building its own charm through its characters, emotional moments, and the warm atmosphere of the café. I went in expecting a fun and simple comedy, but I ended up enjoying the journey of these characters much more than I expected. The biggest strength of this anime is that it understands its characters. Each girl has her own personality, background, dreams, and struggles that make her feel like more than just a part of a harem setup. The interactions between everyone feel lively and natural, whether they are arguing, teasing each other, or s…

I enjoyed it. I mean, who would've thought, right? The guy who likes Gf, Gf likes this anime. Though I must say, I actually enjoy this more. Heck, it's like the same level of enjoyment as TQQ. While Gf, Gf catering around comedy, this anime and TQQ were more toward a mysterious background story. I mean, heck, how could these girls end up working for the guy was beyond me. Anyway. How did I find this? I already knew for a long time that this anime would come out; it's just that I didn't have the time to watch it. I was busy with my college. Appealing (Why did I get into the anime?) This is my first time (at that time) hearing a harem series in an early adult live. It felt refreshing to know that the harem genre can still expand to this degree. Platform It's only available at Crunchyroll…

This is so, so average. And it's disappointing to me because I got baited by the art style and character designs, which are decent, but the good gets neutralized by the bad, which is the plot. It may as well be written by ChatGPT with how utterly generic and unoriginal it is. It's so unoriginal that it almost circles back to being original because it seems like the writer did extensive research to distill what the biggest clichés are and where the genre could be innovated and strictly followed the clichés while masterfully avoiding anything that could be considered anywhere near innovative. Out of the five characters, only two of them feel like real contenders and only three of them seem to even try getting with the MC, which raises the question why there are five girls to begin with. Pos…

This is typical anime where you only need to watch the first three to six episodes; the rest can simply be skipped. The story is not unique with more flashbacks to five twin sisters. The art isn't bad, but somewhere around the third episode it becomes obvious that the girls are as alike as two peas in a pod: the same height, the same age, the same breast size, and they clearly lack individuality. It does contain ecchi scenes, but only in the first few episodes, after which you are offered more plot and drama. Finally, If you've watched more than ten anime in your life, this one won't grab your attention, unfortunately. 5/10

I think the Harem genre has become almost like McDonald's. It is the most repetitive junk food that we have the audacity to call sustenance. And with Anime, the Harem genre has devolved into something just as poorly executed for the sake of making money. Sex sells the same way McDonald's fries do. With "Megami no Cafe Terrace" or "The Cafe Terrace and its Goddesses", the viewer is served another copy and paste, fast food, Harem genre featuring thin plots supported by big breasts and your choice of hair colors and hackneyed personalties. The plot involves a college student named Hayato who inherits a cafe from his grandmother who raised him after the tragic death of his parents. Little does he know, that five young women live and work there, too. And after a shocking first encounter invol…

ADULT ROMANCE HAREM THAT IS ACTUALLY FUNNY AND WHOLESOME Really Good show i didn't watch when it was Airing I saw the synopsis and I thought it was just another shitty harem thus skipping it and I will gladly Admit that I was wrong. The GOOD - The show isn't cringe like Most of the harems and the jokes actually makes you laugh and the best part is it is all Adult Anime not the Cringey Underage Teenager Romance Harem Shit which pisses me off. And the characters do have pretty decent backstories. The Opening Song of the 2nd cour On Autotune Full blast makes me lose my shit and laugh everytime. The Bad - I really don't like the animation quality and Colour palette. And lastly too much Ecchi leaves me with mixed feelings especially when Mr.Hayato Massaged 17 Year old Ami's Melons. Otherwise…

Really nice blend of harem, excellent comedy and solid story. The characters are an obvious copy of TQQ anime for the most part but that's the only similarity. In my opinion it's much better than TQQ because everyone is of legal age so there are a lot of adult jokes, also much more fan service than TQQ. It's set outside of school so not having to see the regular high school tropes is a breath of fresh air. Animations are top notch and so it the music. Also, all of the main cast is really likeable so it's hard to pick a favorite which is rarely the case in harem anime. Do be warned, the girls are pretty annoying in the first 2 episodes because of the circumstances under which they meet the MC, so don't drop the anime yet. They act completely different later on. Rating for the first 2 seaso…

For a show that's little more just another wholesome harem anime this is actually surprisingly good. It's unoriginal with characters you can largely compare directly to others in similar series (particularly one with the initials QQ) but for some reason I found this fun and relaxing to watch. Ok well if I'm being honest I really do recommend this, it's great. It's more of a binge watch show in my opinion though. Characters Well, if you've seen Bokuben or Quintessential Quintuplets you know the girls characters but they are reasonably well rounded and fun. There is a fair bit of mystery which is kept for quite some time, keeping it interesting. The diverse personalities and different backgrounds do help to add some originality from the other shows. The only warning is that part of the girl…

THE ONLY REVIEW YOU'LL EVER NEED! This is not like quintuiplets. At first glance it seems similar but not quite. The story revolves on the mc and with the goddesses of their cafe keeping it alive tribute to the mc's grandma. quintuplets do not have this kind of plot. touch of romance will be seen while showing how the cafe was build in the firstplace, complications getting resolved comedy and chill plot. Even showing that their grandmother's were in the same cafe working that they're currenlty working, makes the story different from others, all of the characters have nothing in common expect for the fact they were in the care of old owner of the cafe. Season 2 will be even bigger cause new characters popped out. Plot: 10 (different from other generic romance comedy chill anime genre) An…

after watching the first episode I thought it was gonna be another cliche ecchi anime with a bunch of annoying, spoiled girls with big boobs, a loser MC with no backbone that all the girls like for some reason and a mid story with cheesy dialog, and it kinda was but it was entertaining enough to keep you watching, the characters have their own unique story that ties them up to the cafe and are not as one dimensional as I initially thought and the plot, while simple, was interesting to see develop over each episode. It's nothing spectacular but it's good if you like these type of silly animes

I went into this show with very little expectation, expecting another typical harem rom-com where it seems there's very little reason for any of the female leads to fall for the male lead and (obviously) lacks maturity (RaG comes to mind). To my pleasant surprise, this was not the case, despite some (predictable) instances of fan service and the clichéd beginning to the story involving Hayato's deceased grandmother and the café she left behind which provides the setting. Very much in the vein of The Quintessential Quintuplets with a competitive edge, but with a nice dash of slice-of-life minus the high school tropes that have been seen time and time again thanks to the maturity of the cast. To cover the characters, the male MC is *gasp* actually someone who I could see having people attra…

So, you're in need of a trashy harem romantic comedy? Then come right in! This anime will give you a pretty simple story that's easy to understand not really complicated at all. You also have a mc that's straightforward, tactless, and rude but smart, and Brave unlike 99% of harem mc that are horn dogs. Now lets somewhat talk about the girls the real reason your most likely watching this yes there is booba but not much so if your looking for a lot of fanservice then turn around and go watch highschool dxd for the 10th time okay but if u want to see some somewhat funny and likeable girls aka they all crazy then stay and enjoy the chill crazy vibe the anime has to give. Just don't forget This anime will show us that booba will save a business and a boy's heart.

Megami no Café Terrace The anime shows with ecchi tags are usually tedious. The story and characters become repeatable and enjoyment waves off as the experience of watched anime increases. However, this show is well done for the genre and can bring a lot of enjoyment. The troupe of girls and a boy living in the same living space is nothing new. It usually goes along with accidents of a sexual nature and girls falling in love with the MC. You can write it off as a typical harem that brings nothing of value. However, there is something more comforting about this show. It is a story of a group of people of different personalities, backgrounds and goals that strive together to aspire to a higher goal inspired by a person they all loved (the grandmother). They reconcile with their difficult…

You don’t need to watch this and I would honestly recommend you don’t. If you’ve seen any harem show at all, you’ve seen this; hell, you’ll be able to predict beat-by-beat where it goes. The only “edge” I would give this show is its adult cast. Everything else about it is bland. This is Seo Kouji, the mangaka, at his worst. His first hit, Suzuka, touched on relevant topics that few mangaka dare touch on—I appreciated it. His next hit, A Town Where You Live, was a slogging melodrama that nonetheless hit the right notes at the right time to keep audiences engaged. His third hit, Fuuka, was… controversial but ultimately brave. In contrast, this work is so by-the-numbers that I can only assume he wanted to produce a hit big enough that he could retire. Five women work at the café that our MC…

Megami no Café Terrace is a harem romcom, and it's a pretty enjoyable one. I recommend it for any romcom enjoyer and I'll try to explain why down below. I'll give some details regarding the strengths and the weaknesses of this show, while bearing in mind that this review is based on romcom standards. Strengths : + The male MC, Hayato is a "normal" dude, meaning that he doesn't fit the loser/virgin mc archetype, therefore there won't be any cringe scenes with unbelievable reactions, where the dude becomes unhinged by talking with a woman etc... + Riho Tsukishima best girl + The story makes sense, it's hard to put it into words, but it felt like the whole "managing the cofee restaurant" had a meaning, and that the characters are living something. The harem situation is there, but it…

My experience with The Café Terrace and Its Goddesses was very strange. I expected a lot from the fan service. I expected very little from the story. Ironically, everything was the opposite. In terms of ecchi, it is an anime, for experts in the genre, without much merit. Of course, the girls are cute, but nothing remarkable. Average ecchi level, leaning towards low. The strange thing is that, even though these girls don't show much skin, the animation quality makes them look gorgeous. Wow! These girls are beautiful! And the fan service scenes are well-received. In terms of story, while it is not a new work by Shakespeare, it is above an average ecchi-harem comedy anime of recent years (for example, Renai Flops, or Immoral Guild). What makes it enjoyable is the past of each girl. Understa…

The Café Terrace and Its Goddesses has a lot of surprises and one non-secret you kind of have to ignore are the ecchi parts. Do that, and I think you might have a good time with this one. Story & Characters: The Café Terrace and Its Goddesses takes place in Tokyo where Hayato Kasukabe has inherited a café, Café Familia, that his grandmother, Sachiko, once owned. With no real ambition to use it as a project, Hayato decides to return to check the place out to demolish it in place of a parking lot that he wants to earn some money off of. The problem? His grandmother took in five girls to live on the premises that connects the café. While away, Hayato realizes that these girls loved his grandmother like his own, and they want the café to remain in place. Our story shows us how these five girl…
