The aesthetic of the anime and the art style are very beautiful.
The story is intriguing, and the world and the characters are very interesting. I really liked some of the relationships, details, and small scenes that give the anime a special personality.
But the action animation is not very good. Still, there were some good fight scenes.
In general, I think they don't explore the characters very well.
Also, there was a scene where the protagonist was very contradictory, treating one of his friends like an enemy. I don't know if there was a meaning behind it, but it wasn't very clear.
The anime has a lot of potential, but it was not very well executed, so it became just good instead of awesome.

While I liked the story, the world and what it could have been, it's just that. What a shame that the adaptation is so mediocre: bad animation, questionable sound design, atrocious pace.
It has this weird yuxtaposition where sometimes things happen too fast and you don't even know how much time has actually passed in the story, or it's way too slow on scenes that don't really add that much to the episodes.
If potential man was to be used with someone or something, I'd say this anime and its protagonist fit the name pretty well.
Watch it if you just wanna have an anime in the background and not be too invested while you do something else.

This series is a solid 7 points. Story pacing is good, not slow, not fast.
Characters are not boring, not interesting either, but they fit the pace and story nicely. Also, it's refreshing to see an isekai done without a potential harem. The dude is socializing well with other dudes. So refreshing!
The story relies too much on situational misunderstanding or absence of context for the protag. The story structure can be done without using these crutches of missing context.
Music is okay too. The happy theme that plays from time to time is a memorable melody. Good stuff.
Why I'd give this a 9?
For the absolutely gorgeous, cute and adorable Sera. 2 points to this anime for a gorgeous elf waifu.
For anyone else - this is one of the better reincarnation/ isekai slop anime. If you have finishe…

🧊Ice, Oops! I mean 💧 Water Magician 🌊.
Hopefully, I’m streaming to brethren who’ve delved into the world of 'Terraria', the references meander through the cracks of this show, albeit for the all the wrong reasons.
Every idea this show pumps out is washed away by the river of its own complacency. This mundanity, this lack of substance ultimately connected by a strait to the sea of the source material.
Can we blame the Director here? Well, for sure! He could have slowed things down, he could have gotten better script writing and perhaps he could try deviating from the source at times. I believe his hands were somewhat tied. What I can gleam from this experience is complete frustration. The show on occasion felt like the director suddenly said “Screw it!” He then proceeded hurriedly to…

Definitionally "decent".
It's a fine show, honestly. Nothing to complain about re: the writing itself - but not particularly stand-out in any areas either.
Would probably be a very solid 7/10 if not for pretty poor pacing and below-average animation.
Decent characterization (bar the very flat MC), great musical score, and dialogue flows naturally for the most part. Enough action/comedy to be entertaining.
The premise is a fairly generic one: Isekai where he uses scientific knowledge to cast impressive magic. However- it doesn't really do anything with that? It's given a few throwaway lines in the first episode and brought up maybe once or twice later, but otherwise we just see him casting magic like we've seen it done a million times before.
Maybe his backstory- where he first "lands" in…

This anime is really disappointing they started so strong on the story line with ryu and abel on 1-5 episodes then until they went to the village and all went south the story was rushed on this anime, i really hope if this anime get a season 2 please kindly just stick with the original story on the manga because like this anime got potential literally from the episode one where ryu got isekai and wanted a quote and quote SLOW LIFE but mid episodes is just pure disappointment especially where ryu was fighting that dragon demo lady in the village with an eclipse?? ok thats where the disappointing hard slap yah especially the fighting with the price and princess rescue scene on the final episode is just dog shit...
DISAPPOINTING ANIME : 4/10

It’s very sad that, once again, anime is being adapted with horrible and disgusting animation. Is it really that hard to give it a little movement, fluidity, and realism? I mean, improving the fights and combat a bit isn't difficult; you save on dialogues and unnecessary things, but if you're going to provide fights that look worse than anime from 60 years ago, you're better off not doing it. Besides, the direction and production are also horrendous: scene cuts and censorship, which is trendy lately. Everything is too bad to call it good; the story was promising, but if everything else is bad, in the end, it ends up being a total loss.
Once again, we see adaptations made in a rush with the minimum budget possible, just to fill quotas. This anime is something that could have been good, but…

This show is really just your average, typical isekai story. You have your OP MC in a new and exciting fantasy world, having another shot at life. Still, the story and the human relationships thus far have been more or less wholesome with a more chill, laid back style of story telling. The MC is definitely a bit of the male Mary Sue archetype, but I haven't found it to be to an annoying degree yet. He's still written to be a little quirky so it's not too bad.
What really sets this apart from other shounen-based isekais is the lack of perversion and fan service. Unfortunately, this is an insane plus for the series.
It's unfortunate how much loli-baiting fan service there is once you enter the shounen-side of the Japanese isekai genre.

Disclaimer: I’ve watched plenty of anime with slow pacing and slice-of-life genres. But this anime’s pacing is truly terrible. By the way, I have no issue with the main character’s skin color. The first two episodes were actually pretty decent. But after that, it just kept getting worse and worse. After every episode, I’d convince myself that next week would be a little better, but in the end, nothing ever changed. When I finished watching episode 1, I immediately tried to find the manga and read it. I was also shocked to find that the manga’s art was just as bad as the anime’s.
I’m very disappointed; this anime is only good in the opening. It seems like the production team spent all their money just on the opening. From episode 8 through episode 12, there’s nothing but disappointment. I’…

Not much to talk about. Just an anime with high potentially that fails in execution towards the end. It's a good mindless watch if you don't care too much about finding the highest quality content around.
Ryou is your run-of-the-mile over powered MC. Kind to basically everyone, doesn't take anything too seriously, and cruises through life on easy mode due to his abundence of wealth and power. Literally everything in the show only took as long as it did bedause our MC was too busy reading a book in Library of stuffing his face with curry. My biggest gripe with him is that he barely fights at all outside of early few episodes. (I think after the first 3 ep, he fights maybe 2-3 times for the of the season iirc). It's dissapointing for me, to be honest.
Everyone else in the show… exist. Ther…

Wasted potential. Complete trash, and it almost feels intentional. I genuinely do not recommend watching this. What makes it worse is that the first two episodes were actually strong enough to create real hope. They had momentum, atmosphere, and just enough intrigue to make it seem like this would become something memorable. Instead, the show completely collapses right after that. It does not slowly decline. It does not stumble and recover. It just falls off a cliff and never gets back up.
This is actually my first review on MAL, which should say a lot by itself. I normally do not feel strongly enough to write reviews, especially not angry ones, but this series managed to annoy me so much that I had to say something. I am honestly appalled by how much potential it had and how badly it was…

This shows premise and story is mid, not good but not horrible. However, if your just looking for another fantasy isekai to pass time id recommend it.
The art is pretty nice. The animation/combat scenes are pretty basic but passable and not bad enough to turn you off watching. The characters are pretty uninteresting. I feel like a broken record but everything is just so average LMAO. The story was a bit confusing at times. Not because its complicated, it just felt like certain things are skipped over or left unexplained. Usually good shows leave hints or at least something to peak your interest but this show doesn't lol. It kind of just results in you accepting "maybe if this gets a second season I'll eventually find out what X means" lmao.
Also at times in the story it feels like the…

I liked it.
People seem to be complaining about the storytelling and the animation, but I saw no issues, they are building the world and presenting us more characters as they introduce more conflicts and people who will mean something to the protagonist.
I haven't read the novel or the manga but so far it seems like the first season focuses on yes at first presenting the protagonist and right after gets to world building. Seems completely reasonable to me. Do I want more? Of course! And if you like adventures and magic you will too.
Overall it was a very fun watch I thoroughly enjoyed it.

A fresh new isekai. No harem, a mc who isn't just socially awkward and cannot do anything. Rather it focus on an diverse cast of both boys and girls, no pointless characters and develop side characters. The anime has some good animation though it does drop in quality in later episode but still good none the less. There is a bit of everything from adventure to romance to drama. Everything led to a great point where the plot can continue off with some great fight sequence and a chiff hanger for the next arc. Overall I definitely recommend this anime for anyone who want a new isekai experience.

I was quite disappointed with the show after the first 4 episodes, mainly because I've watched some anime recommendations from a few influencers and they sold this very nicely, except, I guess they didn't watch more than half of the first episode, cause it was very misleading lol. Yet I watched the whole show, and it surprised me quite a bit. I'm not a huge fan of isekai and I'm mad that most isekai, including this one, could simply be a fantasy without the whole average guys gets hit by truck-kun. Even so, I really enjoyed this one, even with the somewhat known tropes and characteristics present in many isekai. Yes our MC is weirdly happy most of the time and he doesn't overuse his magical abilities, always trying to avoid tiresome fights if possible because he wants a slow life. He said…

Cliff notes, the anime.
So it took me awhile to understand this show. See the first few episodes were ok, they speedrun the developmental arc and forcefully highlight the important people the MC interacts with.
Those were the best of the show. Now that our MC is officially OP status lets move him to Noobsville where he looks really OP in comparison. Also lets speedrun that as well as, and this is in the show's own words, a fantasy staple trope. AKA generic.
Art and animation take a hit after the first three episodes but the real drop is after episode 8. They were really front loading this anime.
I actually got confused a few times because of this cliffnotes style, the show itself thinks this is generic so just shows you highlights before moving on so you feel like you missed somethi…

Good
- Atmosphere is chill but not boring.
- Pacing is good, there is always something going on that sparks curiosity.
- Voice acting is pleasant.
- The drawings and backgrounds are above-average with nice detail.
- They don't joke around with actual death.
Mixed
- Story is not original by any means but the implementation is done well enough.
- Music is decent. - Animation quality is all over the place, from slideshow to impressive.
- MC is very strong but not invincible, so there are moments of excitement. I would say he is a bit too calm/passive overall, but that fits the overall vibe. MC isn't stupid or naive, which, too, is refreshing.
- All characters feel somewhat realistic / alive, above-average writing at least, although usual tropes are noticeable. I think the snarky dialogues an…

Right form the start I was confused and disappointed at how lazy the Isekai parts were. I mean was he Isekai'ed into a empty house in the middle of nowhere? Its just not clear to me his starting point. The first episode is weak and like a training level of a video game.
Also the power mechanisms seem to not follow basic common sense rules... at least for him (protagonist). He gets a sword made of ice, which seems to be harder than a steel sword. Makes no sense as it should be brittle. He seems to conjure water or ice objects out of thin air for battling. Not to mentioned the water/ice he conjures float in air. He can shoot streams of water from the floating water bodies, which look like laser beams. So basically he has laser beams that cuts through objects even though he is a water magici…

"Typical isekai" is not a reason for me to hate a show, I am quite fine with accepting the genre's usual tropes and failings. This show goes a bit beyond those in trying to disappoint, though.
OP MC is OP, no surprise there, but he's not even consistent with it. Like, right next to trivializing killing some "wyverns" or whatever that just defeated a mountain-sized behemoth, he is shown to run away from some "gryphon" commenting how he'd have no chance, with no discernable reason or difference between the two. His arsenal of spells includes instant-death water lasers but he regularly pointlessly uses lamer spells like "ice bind" which randomly either encase the whole opponent in ice, just their feet, or spawns ice chains to hold them instead, or just makes them slip on some ice and waits f…

it's not too often I feel so conflicted about how good an anime is, but this one was such a conflict I had to give a review.
At it's core storyline, I think it's pretty amazing, MC isekai'ed into an honestly somewhat unique world with only water magic, all in all pretty fun idea. The issues start with it too though, he really just uses ice magic most of the time, there is 1 fight he uses boiling water which I really enjoyed, but there comes the second issue. The MC isn't in half the show so half the fighting he isn't even in the area to show off or anything.
In fact a side character takes an entire episode for their own backstory, before they even meets the MC in any meaningful way, all in all the MC feels like a side character in their own story and it's really disappointing. Especially…
