Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation

Introduction

Despite being bullied, scorned, and oppressed all of his life, a 34-year-old shut-in still found the resolve to attempt something heroic—only for it to end in a tragic accident. But in a twist of fate, he awakens in another world as Rudeus Greyrat, starting life again as a baby born to two loving parents. Preserving his memories and knowledge from his previous life, Rudeus quickly adapts to his new environment. With the mind of a grown adult, he starts to display magical talent that exceeds all expectations, honing his skill with the help of a mage named Roxy Migurdia. Rudeus learns swordplay from his father, Paul, and meets Sylphiette, a girl his age who quickly becomes his closest friend. As Rudeus' second chance at life begins, he tries to make the most of his new opportunity while conquering his traumatic past. And perhaps, one day, he may find the one thing he could not find in his old world—love. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

Mushoku Tenseis first season is a masterclass in worldbuilding and presentation, it sets up the story, environment and characters in a way that not many other anime do. Of course as its animated by BIND it also has brilliant animation every episode, with no episode feeling like it had budget cuts. Fights are filled with dynamic movement, spells are animated very smoothly and the show just looks good. I really have to say though the ammount of scenes Rudeus is a degenerate bum gets tiring. I dont mind fanservice, i dont even mind the fanservice that Mushoku Tensei does. But i think it gets to a point where it ruins the main character for me, i dont like him, hell i dont even want to like him. While he is now alot more responsible in his new life, he has made no effort to change how much o…

Mushoku Tensei: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu is an anime based on the famous web novel made by Rifujin na Magonote. This story presents us a mid-aged shut-in who is kicked out by his own familiars. Feeling devastated, the man try out to turn into someone more useful, but he witnesses a female teenager who is about to get run over. Then, he instinctively save the girl, dying in her place. Being reborn in a medieval-like world as Rudeus Greyrat, he promises not only to be a virtuous person, but also to form his own family. Sounds like a simple but engaging story about being reincarnated and having a redemption journey, right? But, unfortunately, things were totally ruined as this series advances. How? This is genuinely such a hard watch. As a female viewer, I'm no stranger to the casual sexualization that shows up in a lot of isekai/fantasy anime (which is why I rarely pick up isekais to begin with) but this is on another level entirely. The main character's defining trait is how pedophilic and pathetic he is, which also seems to be a trait most other male characters seem to have in this show. Every episode seems to find a new way to make that the focal point, and it's genuinely uncomfortable to sit through, and somehow the writer thinks this is very edgy and comedic, which it isn't. As for the female characters, they seem to be written to have maybe ONE basic personality trait each, while their main purpose is to be objects to be stared at. If you're sensitive to this kind of conte…

Honestly the hate is way overdone People just like making fun of someone who for liking this anime. There are much extreme and vulgar stuff happen in older anime but back then anime wasn't that popular . Anyway let's review mushoku tensei. Although Isekai anime release are too frequent now Mushoku is still the best at it They put alot in world setting/building The way character interacted feels real and human. The world feel alive. Many hate Rudeus for what he's done in early eps but watching him grew as person is felt comforting and I don't get why many prefer flawless/perfect mc like Jinwoo / tanjiro. There's no doubt the effort they put into this anime as they solely create studio just for mushoku. Every episode is eye candy it really unique in artstyle and when it comes to actio…

God this was a ride, no kidding I've never seen such a good great isekai (it's hard to say if we'll ever see the LN in Czech but after what I saw I'd like to read it) I would never say I'd ever watch this (now I regret it) but thanks to a recent AMV (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CGbQHt74vq8) where it was shown I noticed that in some parts it felt like a classic isekai so I said I'd give it a chance. And it paid off, I had so much fun from the very beginning I couldn't stop laughing (which leads me to the question why it's labeled a drama when I thought it was more of a comedy but that's probably a matter of perspective). What bothers me a little is that even after 11 episodes. I haven't seen a normal OP, only an ED. What surprised me the most was that 2 studios had to come together to c…

Overhated ngl, I dont really care much abt the weird scenes and monologues since it contributes well to Rudeus's character as a sexual-depraved pedophile shut-in bum. Like I get it, people dont need to like the anime if it has elements that make them uncomfortable, but calling calling people pedo for enjoying this work is mind numbing, when in reality MT is such a fascnating show. The story is REALLY good, characters have depths and lovable, especially Rudeus (aside from his weird shit) has great development. I was genuinely intrigued by how well-established the world in MT, albeit I've only finished the first season I can confidently say this is at least T5 isekai already. 8.5/10

Rudeus is a pedophile rapist, and every other male in the series is also some form of rapist, but uhh.... otherwise it's ok I guess. It does feel grounded and realistic most of the time. If you like Kanye West, you can probably tolerate it. And aren't a woman. Hard watch for the women of the world, would not recommend. Story: 9/10 it's pretty decent. World-Building: 7/10 overrated. The world feels grounded but it's really not as interesting as people make it out to be. Characters: ?/10: If you ignore the sexism and pedophilia, there is genuine flaws and growth, and they're somewhat nuanced sometimes. Action: Mid/10 Art: Good/10

This anime does everything perfectly, except for one thing, the characters. Each part about Mushoku Tensei is incredibly well done, the world building makes it feel like the mc is actually exploring the world instead of the world building around the mc. It does this through in-depth languages, it's magic system, the buildings, and many other smaller things. The magic system feels like it could actually be real in the world, the people in the world dont have everything about magic figured out, which makes it feel all the more real. The art and animation is beautiful, it has this grain to it that makes it feel like it was recorded on a camera and the animation makes combat feel intense. The message of the anime is that you should try to live life to its fullest. It's a powerful message and…

The Disgusting Detail That Ruins Mushoku Tensei: The Polygamy Nonsense Since the beginning of the series, we thought we were watching a great fantasy world, stunning animations, and so-called character development. However, with the latest season, that forced second marriage storyline with Roxy and the story gradually turning into a 3-wife harem fantasy has completely ruined the series in my eyes. Fans trying to justify the situation by saying 'but those are the rules and lore of that world' doesn't change the truth: this situation weakens the story incredibly and makes it repulsive. In my opinion, the main reasons for this are: - The Destruction of Monogamy and Loyalty: First of all, a man should be monogamous and stay loyal to his partner. The fact that Rudeus shares a bed with one p…

Passable/Good in most things other than writing, Rudeus is an unlikable molester who the author rewards/does not punish for his actions and expects us to sympathize or connect/root/care for him. Specific scenes bring the own authors personal fetishes in to question as the fact that Rudeus has no manner of progression/change in his problematic behaviour and is rewarded for it. His actions can be compared to similar main characters in other fields such as Humbert Humbert in Nabokov's Lolita however in Lolita not only is Humbert not rewarded for his actions but it is Explicitly clear that Nabokov 1. does not endorse his actions or finds them to be correct. 2. has made it so all information is coming through his lenses as a Serial Molester and child predator. which brings his words into questi…

One of the most vile and cynical pieces of media ever made. Even people giving it bad reviews often just dismiss this mess as a good anime ruined by a pedophile MC, but that isn't correct. You take out the degeneracy and Jobless Reincarnation is just a boring fantasy anime with cardboard characters. Some say that the production value is exceptional and that is why people like it, but that's also not true: this anime is smoke and mirrors, it will condense the animation budget in a single 5 second sequence per episode that looks good when clipped and posted on social media, outside of that it's just barely animated still frames. The sad reality is that Jobless Reincarnation is successful precisely because it's perverse, unashamed whish fulfillment. A lot of anime fans want this, there's no…

Want an example of a rudeus defender? Go watch " He Came To Play Roblox With A 15 Year Old, Meets Cops Instead!" by Jidion on youtube. heres the link to copy - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pb8LNJkBEpc watch it from 16:02 to 16:40. ______________________________________ Worst anime in the fucking world, it's not just the anime that's bad the author and the people that actually defend this anime and its main character. This anime is a gooner pedophiles fantasy. It rates high because of the majority of pedophilic sickos out there the mc relates to, they see themselves in Rudeus. Heres why. Mushoku Tensei is a disgusting anime, and I believe it only ranks so highly because of the majority of weirdos who watch anime. We can’t lie: a lot of people associate anime with weird behavior bec…

I can't tell you how much I hate this thing. I looked into the characters' family tree, and I wonder how they haven't developed chronic illnesses yet, given that *all* the characters marry *each other* despite being in the same family. I do not recommend it. Sexualization of minors, assault, incest the list goes on. Here’s a straightforward answer to each question: Is the story unique? If it was predictable, did you enjoy it anyway because you like this genre/set-up? It’s not completely unique, but it was one of the more influential early “serious” isekai. The reincarnation-as-a-baby + long-term character growth setup was fresher when it came out than it is now. A lot of the plot beats (training arcs, political intrigue, harem formation, big disasters) are fairly standard for the genre. P…

Just like Re:ZERO Starting Life in Another World, there is one main character that also does chase girls in a bad way I absolutely dislike. Starting with Rudeus who is a over 30 year old lonely loser before getting reincarnated into a child in a fantasy world, he is such a degenerate pervert. I can’t imagine a child who would be that disgusting by looking at boobs and being obsessed with female panties. Oh and not to mention the time he forced a little girl to have her clothes off, an absolutely immature moment right here . The story world is fine though, I mean sure this is a generic fantasy like every show, at least it is about a place where characters get to learn to use magic and leaving their homes for adventure. Adaptions and animations are above solid, I can still see some consist…

Imagine eating a cake, but within it are swathes of mold where it has expired. You can eat around it, enjoy the cake in those scant clean areas--but however much you avoid it, you cannot deny the cake has been spoilt. There is a foulness pervasive in it. Forgive the crass analogy, but I find that to be an apt description of Mushoku Tensei's qualities. To begin with: the show's merits. The setting of the world and its gradual immersion of the viewer into it is executed very well. Despite being the progeny of the numerous high-fantasy anime / LNs / manga that had come before it, it retains a fairly distinguished identity of its own, and is itself the progenitor of the 'Tensei' style Isekai that succeeded it. Moreover, some characters and story elements are presented quite nicely, and are s…

The protagonist has the following traits: - The charisma of Drake - The experience of EDP445 - The unfaithfulness of Dr. Disrespect - And finally, the genius of Jeffrey Epstein Story: There is one. Allegedly. Animation: Genuinely beautiful. Studio really said, "Let's spend our entire GDP animating the adventures of the local sex offender." Characters: Surprisingly well-written, which somehow makes the protagonist even worse because everyone else has to share screen time with him. World-building: Fantastic. I wish I could immigrate there and immediately deport the main character. Predictability: I kept predicting he'd do something weird. I was right every single time. Would I recommend it? Yes, but with the same hesitation you'd recommend a friend a restaurant by saying, "The food is i…

Mushoku Tensei is a series that people tend to either fall completely in love with or bounce off of entirely, there's not much middle ground. At its core, this isn't some mind-bending story that leaves you questioning what you just watched. Strip it back and the premise is honestly pretty simple as far as Isekai goes. But the simplicity was never the draw. What actually makes this show stand out is how much care went into the little things, or the way scenes are animated, the way moments are allowed to breathe, the sheer attention to detail in how the world and characters are brought to life on screen. It never feels like it's rushing to hit the next plot point, but it also never drags. Somehow it strikes that balance where you blink and an entire season has gone by, and you're left wond…
