Mysterious Girlfriend X

Mysterious Girlfriend X

Introduction

First encounters are always memorable because regardless of the outcome, new experiences are sure to happen. For Akira Tsubaki, a young boy who knows next to nothing about girls, and new transfer student Mikoto Urabe, a mysterious girl who wears a cold facade, their first encounter takes a turn for the romantic. Through a series of strange events, Tsubaki suddenly falls in love with Urabe, and together they develop a curious bond. Thus begins the romance and mystery of Urabe, a girl who seems to have a unique way of expressing her emotions. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

I was originally attracted to this show for its 90's-reminiscent artstyle, pretty unique for the 2010's. Turns out: this is actually a weirdo pervert show, for weirdo perverts. ...Hi, I'm weirdo pervert. Watch the first episode blind, and you'll either be super grossed out, or grossed out butalsokindaturnedon. If you're in the latter camp: first off you're weird, second welcome aboard. Once you get off- OVER the very weird aspect to this show: it's actually a fun exploration of early teenage relationships, and our bumbling struggles with how to express and engage in physical intamacy. It may not be the deepest or most complicated metaphor (or, like, maybe it's literal, it's weird but not TOTALLY impossible some people had teenage relationships like that minus the psychic parts), but it's…

i really enjoyed this anime matter of fact its one of my favourites now the salvia aspect is the replaces sex or kissing its a way of showing emotion is a different way it might be more kinky but in the mind of the watcher it hits different it switches the normal romance anime aspect upside down with this new kinky show with a mysterious vibe making you wonder what the other was thinking when making this show. i can see why some people might not like mgx because of the weird kinky aspect and the salvia but thats what makes it so unique and amazing i love this show and i recommend it ho anyone who wants something completely different from normal romance animes or just wants to watch something unique and "weird"

This is my first time writing a review on MAL. Why though?? Cuz I can't stop myself from writing one. I can't even recall why I added this anime to my list, maybe it was way back then so I don't remember much. However, I just started watching it Yesterday and as i write this review, i have finished watching it. Don't go on the RATINGS, it turned out to be one of my favourite animes of all time(wasn't expecting it to be). Reasons why I said that; 1.) Banger opening music, Banger Soundtrack. 2.) I really appreciate the art style. Neither to flashy nor to old for my taste. It has a very clean and calm vibe to it. 3.) I FELL IN LOVE WITH 'MIKOTO URABE' INSTANTLY. If you're finding her weird of a character, then please with till 3rd ep. 4.) I can't relate LESS with our MC Akira Tsubak…

Even though the premise is odd—and a bit gross to some people—don't let that fool you. It’s beautiful: from the way the relationship develops to the romantic scenes and—what really makes it stand out for me—the music. I could write a whole review just about the soundtrack; it’s melancholic and, above all, nostalgic. It hits just the right note when Tsubaki makes it clear that theirs is a relationship from the past. Between the music and the way things unfold... wow, it really makes you want to cry. The music and the evolving relationship make me highly recommend it. I hope you pay close attention to the music! Hahaha.

The story begins with the premise that these two will have sex by the end of the series. What happens is just their first kiss. This is just the start of this anime failing to deliver on more mature and interesting concepts, especially as an anime marketed for adult audiences. It's a very good romance anime, and it's also very good at teasing any small amount of progression in their relationship, but in the end the mysteries it presents with the titular mysterious girl are never explored. Like it bit off a huge number of interesting ideas and spat it back out right on the floor in a characteristically slobbering hunk. This girl is clearly highly disturbed and may be suffering profoundly in a place she doesn't even see. That's very interesting. Why does she use her hair to cover her face?…

One of the most intriguing and interesting anime i've ever seen It might seem easy which route the story takes next, but there are actually some very unexpected plot twists It has a plot that may seem simple, but if you stop to observe in detail how the characters evolve, you will change your mind Akira has a little plain, instinctive and very human behavior, but if we add Urabe to that equation, there's a 180° change It's definitely one of my top favorites, it may not be for everyone because of its themes, but i still recommend it to anyone

Mysterious Girlfriend X is weird; there's no denying that. It's known less by its title and more by the moniker of "The Spit Fetish Anime." It's an anime I absolutely cannot recommend to anyone. But I'm going to try anyways. For a moment, let's put a pin in the spit stuff, because it's actually a relatively small part of the anime when you look at the bigger picture. What Mysterious Girlfriend X really is is a rather honest and true-to-life depiction of coming-of-age and growing into your own sexuality with your equally interested peers who are undergoing all of the same discovery that you are. If anyone is interested in this show but is reserved because of the drool in the room, I recommend you watch the OP, because *that* is what can give you an accurate impression of the show's ove…

This is your weird, quircky, nostalgic, one of a kind anime which you will never find a similiar one. Its a about the love of 2 middle schoolers. The story starts with this weird mysterious girl transferring to the school and the weird "bond" being created between the girl and the boy in the class. The entire series revolves around their love relationship. What makes the show uniqe among the other "serious love between inexperinced/naive school lovers" kind of anime is that it is spiced up a bit by the mysterisness/weirdness of the girl and the "drool relationship" between the characters, which apparently weirded out some people. The struggles in their love relationship and what actually revolves their relationship much of time feels pretty real, just covered up under the uniqe elements o…

Absolute Peak!!! I watched this show thanks to the ecchi sounding summary people say about and they were not lying. Story: The story is about the main character having dreams about a girl drooling and acts upon his body to lick the saliva and fate would have it that he encounters this very situation and is revealed that he cant live with this saliva for more than a day and both protagonist make a pact to form a relationship and a does the female protagonist love the mc or not now that they are dating. I really dig the mysterious and old timey music and there is a dream sequence happening every other episode which reminds me of magical madoka in a way. I wish there was more ecchi but it was pretty good and high quality i was satisfied :) if you want a good and weird romance story and ecc…

Its idea for how it goes about displaying romance is very unique and the bond between the main characters is a little weird or "mysterious" at first but overtime one can grow to appreciate it. Each episode is able to stand on its own as sort of an "episode of the week" type deal where there's not a whole lot of connection between them but they still reference each other which is nice for keeping it's story in a linear fashion. As for it's "ecchi" tags one might see on it, the ecchi in question isn't on levels of something like High School DxD or something similar, but rather it displays itself mostly as Tsubaki's imagination like a typical teenager is during puberty or high school. It works in a way where it isn't constant breasts in your face but more rather something that is shown where…

Mysterious Girlfriend X - what an odd show. A very strange series which clearly appeals to people with spit kinks. That's the main story - the main couple are bonded via drool. Story 6/10 - Typical romance story for the most part to be honest, awkward, slow-burn couple with a huge twist - the pair share their drool, this show is full of rather "unique" scenes for lack of a better word in which the only things I have to say are - that was gross. That aside, it's got your typical romance drama along with it and several points in the relationship that seem a tad bit rocky. Characters 7/10 - Honestly the characters are pretty good, the main guy however is a bit of your average moron in love and doesn't seem to quite grasp what should clearly be seen as a ***DON'T DO*** in a relationship. Oth…

Not going to lie, this is one of my new favorite anime. I kind of love the idea of two lovers being able to share their inner feelings by swapping spit....and by that I don't mean kissing, like they actually stick their fingers in eachothers' mouths and tastes eachothers' spit. This can lead to interesting situations like the girl understanding the guys inner thoughts about her, and the guy knowing when something makes his girlfriend happy. Great animation and recognizable character designs. Urabe especially from what I've seen has a little cult following with loads of fanart and fan edits.

it sets itself apart from almost every other basic 12/13 ep romance by actually having interesting characters, development in the story, and an art style that I really love. this anime's biggest hurdle is the drool stuff, but I honestly do not think that should stop people from watching what is a really good and refreshingly unique romance anime. it is an anime that I would (and have) recommended to friends, and so naturally I would recommend it to anyone reading this. I wish this anime would get a second season, although I know it's never gonna happen lol. the man behind the manga has long has long disappeared, probably enjoying the money he made from this show and his other works.

Easily one of the most underrated and unique anime ! I loved everything about it. Enjoyed it really well. Urabe is indeed one huge waifu material. I love her with everything. My dude is winning in everything. Unique story and the characters are well written. I won’t complain about the animation because this anime literally aired when I was in 8th grade and now I’m 26 and watching anime 😂 I won’t say its realistic because I’m not a big fan of drool but, it is kinda kinky As a huge man of culture I appreciate this anime and I’m sure all will.

Anime with a romance concept that is different from the others, very unique actually, but maybe this anime won't be suitable for everyone according to me, because yes, as simple as sharing saliva it is really strange, anyway I wanted to stop even in episode 1 and it was still in the middle because I felt a little disgusted and freaked out by urabe Makoto's attitude, but I tried to watch it until it was over, it's better but I can't really enjoy the romance, maybe for other people it can be more suitable, until the end I felt like it was lacking, but there are positive things that I can conclude, first, every important scene is animated, the visuals are made really good, but after that it's back like other early 2000s anime, this anime is not for me, haven't I read the manga or for example…

Mysterious Girlfriend X is a unique and intriguing anime that stands out with its unconventional story and art style. The plot revolves around the mysterious relationship between Akira Tsubaki and the enigmatic Mikoto Urabe, bonded by a rather unusual exchange of drool. This bizarre premise is surprisingly compelling, exploring themes of intimacy and trust in a refreshingly original way. The art style, though not the most polished, effectively complements the story's quirky nature. Character designs are distinct, and the animation captures the surreal atmosphere well. The characters themselves are well-developed, with Urabe's mysterious aura and Tsubaki's genuine curiosity driving the narrative forward. Their interactions feel authentic, and their growth throughout the series is satisfyin…

This is (if you ask me) at the same time a very odd bird and a hidden gem that many may have missed. I found a trailer for the series by chance but got a very good feeling and decided to watch it. However, it must be said right from the start: The series has what you could call a fetish for saliva (and the exchange of saliva). If you have a problem with THAT, it can probably be a threshold that makes it difficult to appreciate the series. 😇😅 I for one didn't have much of a problem with it anyway. I quickly realized that my gut feeling about this anime was just as right as usual. 😁 The drawing style itself is right up my alley (it doesn't really follow the mainstream art style for that era) and then we have the extremely "original" story - odd in a good way, I would say. One of the rea…

Prevert Boyfriend + (wired) Girl with saliva super powers + Great Rommance story = Nazo no Kanojo X. The rommance story itself is great. The animation and the character's are Simple (in a good way) Other than every one is okay with licking saliva. So for those with a saliva fetish (your wired) it's a 11/10 Those who are okay with saliva fetish it's a 8/10 (Better than most rommance Anime) Those who don't like (wired) saliva fetish (like me) 7/10. (You get used to it after a few episodes) And finally those who are disgusted with saliva tasting: Don't watch it. (Note: If your wondering why 90% of my review includes saliva (again) well that's the thing you'll see most in the Anime. If you ignore saliva (again) it's a very good rommance Anime. But you won't be able to ignore saliva (again) t…

TL;DR: The anime is weird and not in a good way. If focuses far too heavily on a saliva based kink (which involves 0 kissing) and if you aren't interested in that kink it can be hard to watch. The story and characters themselves seem interesting enough however if you aren't interested in the kink I would recommend just staying clear of it because the anime traps you in to thinking there is growth but there never comes any. So let's get in to it, I stumbled upon this anime through the random function of a site and the first episode is fairly interesting and leads you wondering what exactly is going on. At some point we see the fetish rear its ugly head as the main character who's alone at school decides to lick the drool of a fellow classmates desk. This show then takes a weird turn as th…

Im sure this anime activated a fetish some people didn't know they had. With all the spit swapping, finger sucking, scissors in panties, sweat liking, and lesbian undertones. Its a story of a boy Akira Tsubaki who falls in love with a new transfer girl Mikoto Urabe after looking into her eyes. He ends up tasting her saliva under some pretty gross circumstances. And gets hooked on it like a drug. One can only imagine how hooked he'd get if he tasted her 🐈🤔 Akira is the average high schooler. Urabe on the other hand is anything but normal. She's the weird mysterious girl who keeps to herself and rarely shows emotion. Traces of her emotion remains in her saliva and if you are able to react to the emotion in her saliva that means you have a special link with her. Urabe is the ultimate…
