Isshuukan Friend is a good anime from Friendship & Slice of life Perspective but in terms of romance & pay of it's somehow weak.
Few months ago i watched Live-action adaptation of this 4-koma manga, and now i watched anime adaptation, now i can write about both of them;
Live-action:
Hase has better character development.
Kaori's past truma affected way better on her behavior.
romantic moments has better writing.
Story has great Climax & better pay of. Anime:
Kouju's character is better than live action version.
as a slice of life it has good moments.
i love Live-action more than anime adaptation;
Live-action: 8.5/10
Anime: 7/10

The idea is brilliant, and they used it very well. I just feel like it had so much more potential. I was expecting a much more romantic anime, and instead, I found more of a focus on friendship, but I still enjoyed it.
The four main characters are likable and have great chemistry that makes you want to see the group together and learn more about each of them.
The first few episodes were my favorites; everything progressed beautifully, and then a problem arises that changes the whole feeling of the later episodes. But even though it has a quick ending, I think it was a good one.
I think it's an anime I would recommend watching, and I would watch it a second time myself. It's really lovely.

One Week Friends is generally a good show. However, it has both normal, preventable issues and issues that are intrinsic to the premise which cannot be fixed. The fact that Fujimiya forgets everything about her friends every week means that you will inevitably have to erase the story's progress. In fact, it makes it so that it would be WORSE if you didn't erase the story's progress. Let me elaborate:
Fujimiya forgetting every week is the interesting thing about the premise. This forgetfulness has many possible consequences that could be explored, which can add some freshness to an otherwise ordinary romance story. One Week Friends explores some of these, which I wouldn't explain because I consider them spoilers. However, it is also a double edged sword because it either partially or compl…

Isshukan Friends is mostly based on incomplete friendships to be honest. Any friendship needs some time to grow stronger and healthier. Friendships should be based on trust and one shouldn't have a gain. In this situation, there is not even a time to introduce yourself properly, rather than spending time. Kaori isn't a person like Kiryuu but she tried to seem like him because she knew what will happen every Sunday, at the end of the day. I can make empathy with her because I would be afraid of making friends if I knew that I will forget them eventually. Anime basically includes school life mostly at the start, which is what I call a slow-pace-start, but ends a little more interesting. İntroduction is always new when starting a new anime but in this case, i didn't feel like it's new to me.…

One Week Friends is a nice little slice-of-life anime that came out in the Spring season of 2014 and was animated by Brain's Base, who have done a great job on this project. Coming in twelve episodes, it's a quick and easy watch if you're looking for something to spend an evening with a relaxing show.
Story (8/10)
Yuki Hase expresses interest in becoming friends with quiet recluse Kaori Yumijira, who has a reputation for being cold and distant from all the other students inside her class. Initially rejected, he pushes forward and learns of an issue that she has, where every Monday, her memory of any friends she has reset, causing her to forget anyone who's become close to her. Despite this, he asks her every week to become her friend, slowly becoming more ingrained into her life, hoping t…

I blindly began watching Isshuukan Friends, meaning I started watching it without looking at any trailers, PVs, etc. so I didn't know what I'd be in for however this anime exceeded most of my expectations.
After Fujimiya's condition is revealed I thought from that point forward it would begin getting repetitive due to the fact that Fujimiyas memories will always reset meaning no progress or character development would be made HOWEVER i will say i was wrong about that. Although her memories are reset multiple times throughout the series it's almost as if every time they're reset she changes as a person while being influenced by Hase.
Speaking of Hase I genuinely like hase's wholesomeness and dedication to pursuing fujimiya although being fully aware of he…

Amnesia is a complicated thing, especially to a person who's dearest to you. The question is, how can you treasure this person, even if that person forgets you over and over again? What will you do to make you feel special to that person?
One Week Friends is a romance drama show I watched 5 years ago. It's a story of a young boy who wants to befriend a mysterious girl that piqued his interest. But, he doesn't know she had a mysterious secret on why she's acting coldly to others. Now I think this isn't focused on the romance, but it talked about how powerful and sweet having a friendship was. This isn't the show where you can have a high expectations. You're just going to follow the ride that leads to a non-existent destination.
The story is decent and not forced. It follows Yuki Hase, as…

It's so cute. Though there were parts that got me with the "hol up" like in episode 4, but it's very minor. I actually liked how the show progresses, along with its concept. At first, I thought the white fading at the edges were part of the show and thought.
"hey, it might resemble Kaori's view/memories that she lost with Yuuki, But it didn't seem to be the case. But on the bright side, i like how they choose their palette in this show. It's very light and pleasing to the eyes--
Though there were instances where they pair certain characters together like they did in Hyouka: Shougo and Saki. I don't mind seeing another dynamic but yakno.... *it's ok if you don't pair them*
But nonetheless, their pair was really cute
Though, in my opinion, the ending did end in a satisfactory manner, imo…

I was intrigued by the premise of this show. A boy's attempts to befriend a girl are complicated by the fact that she loses her memories at the end of every week, so he's a stranger to her again every Monday. We're firmly in the realm of plot device amnesia rather than early onset dementia here though, since it's only memories of her friends that she loses. In once sense that lets the story focus on that one issue, but it also makes things less interesting in general by letting her function normally in every other aspect of her life. The other disappointment was that the story doesn't get nearly as much mileage out of the premise as I expected. I anticipated the MC having to deal with trying to make friends again under different sets of circumstances every week. Instead, though the charact…

A beautiful anime! Typical slice of life anime where two people fall in love and loosing memories is involved along with some trauma.
It is sweet and short, sometimes funny and definitely cute. I liked the supporting characters more in this though Chemistry between characters was innocent but good.
Ending was good, it was super sweet and a really positive one at that! All loose ends were tied up and everything was explained. All the things on a sort of wish list was carried out and completed, leaving little scope for adding anything.
Good to watch for something light with a good yet predictable plot line.

Damn, being friends for one week? Must suck man.
Holy shit. If you want to watch living, breathing dopamine, this is your place to watch it. The amount of times I cracked the goofiest damn smile while watching this anime is absolutely insane. Of course, the anime is pretty sad too (AND THEREFORE BETTER) but like, goddamn, you WILL smile at some point.
The story is quite simple. Kaori Fujimiya (aka BEST GIRL WHO MUST BE PROTECTED AT ALL COSTS) is a lonely girl who forgets any memories involving friends at the start of every week. This one desperate simp named Hase Yuuki likes her and wants to be her friend. After successfully being her fantabulous friend, he makes it his goal to MAKE HER SMILE AND BE HER FRIEND EVERY SINGLE WEEK!!!! The story is simply cute as hell, honestly. The story…

Welcome to another Robert's Too Late Reviews! Today we're working over the subbed version of Isshuukan Friends. We have a charming little series here, with a few issues that truly keep it from rising to the heights it might have otherwise achieved. Let's take it from the top.
Story: 8
I'm not saying I disliked the series at all, in fact I found it quite charming. There is, however, one MAJOR flaw that must be addressed as it is the focal point of the entire show, all the way down to what the series is called, that being the female lead's amnesia. The condition itself can be somewhat rare in real life, and almost never works in the manner depicted in fiction, but that's okay, as a story is, well, a story, yet this time we have a version of amnesia that truly stretches the suspension of di…

This is a pure hearted romance in puberty.
The first five to six episodes was greatly animated, it tells how much friendship could do you good in the long run. How simplest efforts is always being appreciated and how the smallest things can turn your lives into good or bad situations (at least, that's how I meant it to be) but even so, this story is so amazing that I'd rather make it into a 26 episodes than 12.
There's no sexually suggestive in this animation because all romance I've seen wants to go to adulthood or you call it "going all the way" would be a boring romance story, you only do it after marriage and I stand firm in this belief of only one.
The characters were ballad or more of too silent or not much dialogue to po…

"I hope I don't forget what happened today." ~ Kaori Fujimiya
Selective amnesia, platonic love, and an unbreakable bond between friends. A simple trio of elements, but all the more powerful when put into the story of Isshuukan Friends, or "One Week Friends" in English.
The beauty of this show is that it portrays friendship with a wide range of emotions and feelings. Friendships are a whole lot more than just spending time and making memories with someone you hold close to your heart; there are ups, downs, and in betweens that bring people closer just as much as they pull them apart. Isshuukan Friends explores this idea of friendship - whilst adding a new layer between the lines.
Story (8)
The story of Isshuukan Friends is small in scale, but large in theme. Kaori Fujimiya, a 16-year-old…

I think that neither beginning nor the end are important as long as the middle part is good.
Unfortunately it wasn't so good for "One Week Friends"
What really destroyed this anime is pointles amount of filler episodes that bring nothing interesting to the plot, really, episodes are like watching the same tv movie etc. Another downside of OWF is that character development is dead, yes it is, Fujimaya loosess her memory in the end and she remembers nothing, main character is in friendzone (as he was throughout the series)
Damn, I don't want to waste any more time on this crap.
6/10, only because of few cute romance settings ( wasted in the end)

One Week Friends, a manga that I passed a week reading, I enjoyed the manga so much, then I went to watch the anime, and why Brain’s Base? The manga was so good!
I’ll explain everything for you, starting with the story, the story is very good in the manga, but in the anime isn’t that good, because in the anime it needed to be shorter, then they’ve taken off some important parts, like these:
[SPOILER]
In the manga, they went to an excursion, and in there, Kiryuu and Yamagishi apologised, and in the anime, it’s never happened. In the manga also had a festival, and anime it hasn’t, and there are other differences.
[END OF SPOILERS]
Let’s go now to art, oh my god, that is awesome, isn’t so wonderful like the manga’s cover, but I was very impressed with the quality of the art.
And to finis…

A good plot which lasted for a few episodes and was then ruined by a complete wimp and unintelligent main character. The series started out good but with every episode fell lower and lower.
The forced teenage drama devalued this series hugely. I hesitate to even call it teenage drama since it was seemingly just pulled out of nowhere and didn't really make any sense at all. At the start I didn't really have anything to complain about but as mentioned, the further on in the series, the more problems arose.
A very weak 6, given only because I liked a certain side character and the idea for the story was unique and interesting.

(I'm going to skip over the plot overview that I see in so many other reviews, since I believe that spoilers are the devil. Also, since the plot overview is right on the anime page...)
When I read the synopsis for this anime, I was instantly interested. I'm a big fan for anime that can explore the values of the bonds between characters. A story about a girl who forgets her friends every week? Sounds like an amazing concept. To say the least, I had high expectations for this show. When I finished, I was slightly disappointed. This show had so much potential in my opinion with it's amazing plot concept, but unfortunately did not deliver in the ways I had hoped.
First of all the story. There wasn't any, since this is a slice of life series after all, so it's perfectly fine. The only real "s…

Anime with a simple story, with only two characters who each week utama.Yuuki struggling to get into the Kaori memory, but it must be sad because every Monday, Kaori forgot him. The story is very touching, of course, though illogical, his name is also anime ,, we do not need logic here ,, haha ... ~
Pictures, music, andstories that touch makes Isshukan Friends very enjoyable. Being able to make the audience get swept up in the story and to feel how the struggle Yuuki for at least able to carve memories in the hearts of Kaori. Viewed Kaori Yuuki tryingto recover memories, make him smile but continued to be forgotten would make theaudience emotionally up and down. This anime can make you smile, sad, and at a time when the same tense, hehehe ~ Although the story is simple, and perhaps somew…

Story
The plot of Isshuukan Friends is about a young boy (Hase) who is in love with a beautiful but strange girl (Kaori). Kaori has a condition in which on a weekly biases the memory of her friends are erased. This means that the plot is about Hase, trying to befriend Kaori and is required to introduce himself to her every week on Monday just to keep up their friendship and ultimately for her to remember him for more than just a week. This unfortunately gives the anime a very frustrating and repetitive story.
Art
It somewhat improves the boring and bland nature of this anime Sound
Its fine but theirs nothing really that memorable
Characters
First off i would say Kaori a better character than Hase (not a compliment), as if anything she is able to get some development unlike the other…
