ReLIFE: Final Arc

ReLIFE: Final Arc

Introduction

After reliving the life of a high school student through the ReLIFE experiment, 27-year-old Arata Kaizaki cannot believe how quickly it has changed him. He has begun to see the world through a different perspective that he had completely forgotten as an adult. He has made friends and formed deep relationships with each one of them. However his support, Ryou Yoake, reminds him that the experiment is all an illusion; after his experiment ends, he will be forgotten by all of them. The experiment of another ReLIFE subject is also coming to an end. After spending two years with ReLIFE, Chizuru Hishiro has developed into a more open, more thoughtful person than she could have ever imagined. She has met people who have changed her life, her perspective, and ultimately her. However, now that their ReLIFE is coming to an end, will they be able to let go of the memories they have made? These 4 episodes were necessary for me to get the real ending, similar to the manga. They focus more on the main characters, Kaizaki and Hishiro. That's what I wanted to see, because it took all the previous episodes to build up the tension between them. The music was better, with other instruments. There was good use of recurring themes, adapted to the situations. The animation was similar to the TV series, with better colors and variations in the scenery. The last 2 episodes were very good in conveying the emotions of the characters: they reminded me why I loved the manga.

Wednesday November 26 2024 - Wednesday November 26 2024 Studios: TMS Entertainment Source: Web manga Genres: Drama, Romance Theme: School Being an adult, have you ever thought about it when you were a kid wanting to be an adult?, it feels like it's free, no one forbids the things we do, can make our own money, make daily needs or even the items we want but is it true that being an adult is as beautiful as your wishful thinking when you were a child. This ReLife anime gives an idea of the real adult life, it's not as fun as you think when you were a child, moreover I learned many things starting from appreciating time, trying hard to achieve something, being grateful, enjoying the phase of life that we are currently living, the point is to live our current life as well as possible, in th…

I gave it a 7 because of how much I like the show in general, but there are huge problems with this adaptation and clearly so does everyone else who went ahead and read the manga - and for good reason (the 7 was given prior to reading the manga a while ago so it is a reading from my initial impression, unfortunately right now having read the manga this score should be much lower). There is so much missing in this adaptation compared to the source, way too much. And on top of that the ending is handled very poorly comparing to what we got in the manga. I've watched this show at least 3 times now and read the manga twice and every time I'm reminded why I read the manga in the first place. After finishing the anime for the first time I was satisfied with the ending or at least I think I was,…

ReLIFE: OVA is the perfect conclusion to an amazing series! I'm still reeling from the emotional impact of this final arc. I mean, I've grown so attached to these characters, and to see them overcome their struggles and find their way... it's just incredibly satisfying. Arata's journey from a lost adult to a confident high school student is genuinely inspiring. And the supporting cast? I've fallen in love with them! Chizuru, Rena, Taira... they're all so uniquely lovable and relatable. I appreciate how the series delves into their backstories and motivations - it adds such depth and nuance to the story. My only wish is for more! A season 2 would be a dream come true. I'm eager to see further character development, more relationships explored, and additional struggles overcome. The anima…

I'm reading that a few readers of the manga were disappointed because this didn't have room for everything. I've never read the manga, but I understand that sentiment. I felt "Chikai no Finale" (Sound! Euphonium) was really rushed, but that's because I had the first two seasons to spoil me. However, In this case, since I haven't read the manga, I can really only judge this on its own merits, without taking the manga (which I think I'm going to buy soon) into account. So that's what I'm going to do. I'm not going to remove points for not following the manga strictly, because I don't know if it does or not, except secondhand. The lower budget here really shows. The animation is a little more stiff, and many of the background characters literally aren't drawn at all - they're literal blobs.…

The specials took everything that was good about the first season and removed everything that wasn’t. Although rushed, it manages to condense the emotional meat and bones into a tight, well written love arc. With a foundation of likeable characters and a season 1 that was already building their relationship, the show manages to completely ditch Kariu and Oga, which is a great relief. Aside from a decent ending, Kariu’s arc in season 1 was a pain to get through, filled with anime cliches and contrived conflicts. I do think Oga is a good character tho, and Kariu isn’t bad after the arc ends. Instead, the specials focus on the relationship between Kaizaki and Hishiro. Kaizaki continues to be a likeable character, whose maturity and sociability make him easy to root for. Meanwhile, Hishiro…

I really liked the first season and I can understand the people saying that it's rushed but nonetheless it's a good ending which left me satisfied and I strongly recommend you to watch. There are also thinks that I did not like tho like someone also wrote its the moral part of the erasing memories and a more deep view in the company would also been nice. I likes this anime because it's not like the other ones but axtuelly teaches you to enjoy your time you live. But for me I would have liked to have more logic plot. But it is good as it is and it OK so. Watch it, you won't forget it.

While I am still not in love with this series or the OVAs, this was marginally better than the regular series. Animation was on par or better than the regular series while having much better and more focused stories and narrative. Although it did not personally affect me, I can see someone being moved by these episodes and more specifically the conclusion of the series. But I think a lot of my issues I will always have with this series is still in these OVAs. Still not a fan of the music and the VA work is fine but not spectacular to me. Suppose if you liked the series you might as well check this out. Otherwise don’t bother.

A very enjoyable story, but the whole time I could not get over the whole wiping memories thing, it doesn't make sense and even if it did in the context of the story, there is so many legal and potential moral issues with it, at the end of the day I have to accept it is just a story and as such they are likely going to be plotholes and that is just one of them that really stand out to me, as a very logical person. It would have been good to explore the relife organization more and even more into why Hishiro did a 2nd year of relife, i mean yes her first year was not a success, but it also feels weird that she got a 2nd chance, perhaps a rewatch will allow me to fully watch her character from the start again to see how she acted from the start and if I ever notice her support figure, befor…

Post Series Depression: 4 Tear Factor: 10 - you will ugly cry Laugh Factor: ~2 Drama Factor: 4 Character Attachment: 10 Story: A continuation of the previous season - and a much needed one at that! :) Art: Art quite literally focuses on the main characters... Everyone else is just a pink or purple silhouette. This kinda put a damper on the overall feel especially after seeing the first season. Sound: sound wasn't very outstanding or bad either. Sound didn't really play any good or bad roles. Characters: You will love some characters. You WILL HATE one character... or not but I certainly did! I can now say that a certain character is a literal demon in human clothing Enjoyment: Words cannot really express without spoilers why this is so enjoyable Overall: 10/10 - It's too bad this is j…

An amazing ending to ReLIFE. (spoiler free) Story - 10 The creators did not have the budget to animate the roughly 110 chapters left after the first season. This means that about 110 chapters were adapted in the first 13 episodes, so every event was included, while multiple events are skipped in the second half. But they did an excellent job piecing together the most important events for this 4 episode finale. As others mentioned, the ending was a little quick, but I personally really liked this. Everything is tied up nicely. There are only two chapters after the anime ending, but it still feels complete without them. Art - 10 I love the art style of the anime. Simple, bright, and crisp as in the first season. Yes, some background characters are blue/pink blobs, however I didn’t find t…

This is a story about a man who has lost his way in the “real world” and gets a chance at a do over. Kaizaki is the main character, followed by Hishiron, a very awkward high schooler who makes enemies when she is trying to make friends. She tries to smile and ends up looking like a demon summoning a curse. Side note–I often use her attempt at a smile as a gif–it’s a look. This was way sweeter and less judgy show than I expected. The writers also had an opportunity to make this really gross and sexualize high school girls. Happy to report that they do very little of that. They skirt the lines of the ‘older man with underage girls’ trope with Kaizaki being tempted/tested a few times. I braced myself for it to get weird but it never did. Yay! Although this is a show about high school, they…

Great completion, little bit too quick of an ending though. Relife is one of my most favorite anime's ever, only beaten out by various Racing and battle related anime's, definitely in my top ten or five. But this ending is very quick, and ends without any more clarification then at bare bones needed, and truly needed another 4 episodes to fix with pacing and more of an after-story to the ending. Series is still great, but the studio had a lack of funding to complete the ending. If you want full clarification for an ending, then look at the last few chapters of the manga. Firm 8.6/10, mainly held up due to that there is an ending for a great series, wished for more though.

Absolutely LOVED this show!! Imagine if you could get the chance to live your highschool moments again? i would definitely do it! If possible maybe go back to my uni days coz that was the best time of my life 🥰 This show really focus on the obstacles and difficulties each and everyone of us faces in the daily life, specially as adults. For some its nothing, while for others its a huge achievement just to get out of bed and do anything. It also shows us the difficulties of work life and how the adult world is constructed with all the demands and pressure put on the individuals. Being a worker, I could totally relate to many of these scenarios, specially the male to female discrimination. Show is amazing, story is great and character development is pure and undeniable. SPOILER WARNING!…

This was very great however the ending was incredibly bitter, did not feel well to watch and left me pretty annoyed. I believe the actual concept of the anime began to ruin the show, especially on this final conclusion. (it starts getting good, but begins to be dragged down by being forced under the shows concept). I would of easily given this a 9/10, along with its first season, but due to how bitter it made me feel it didn't go well with me. The 2 main characters begin growing exceptionally, it makes you feel nice and it was wholesome, you see the 2 main character strike it off, but through the whole thing you feel kind of sad and annoyed how none of this matters. Their growth was meaningless with each other and makes you feel like you wasted time watching something.

This is my opinion on ReLife: Kanketsu-hen anime solely and not associated with the manga (cuz i haven't read that yet). It seems that this is like a sequel to the first season of ReLife. I liked the first season more since it has character development and the story was nice, but this one is more like a (maybe) key points from the manga. I felt like it was rushed since it only has a few episodes. I kinda anticipated that Kaizaki would interact with his former schoolmates after he went back to his normal life (or maybe i should read the manga to find out lol) But purely, the anime made me feel happy and sad at the same time. So i would give it an 8/10 overall.

Yeah, this can be called as a continuation of relife season 1, but can't be called as relife season 2. This adaptation has proved that is impossible to adapt 120 manga chapters in just 4 episodes. The major events of the history are present, but they are rushed af and the motivations of the characters aren't explained, making them do things randomly. The anguish and fears of Arata and Chizuru of be forgotten by everyone are not explored in this 4 episodes (because of time obviously) and they are the main things that ReLife wants to show us, the development of two people that in the beginning don't want to create bonds whit others, but in the final they don't want to lose those bonds. If ou really liked the first season and want the full experience: read the manga. The story is a little…

Will make this short. As someone who hasn't read the manga, honestly, this Final Arc wasn't too bad. I liked it quite a bit, even if it did seem fast-paced. The attention was, thank god, shifted to Kaizaki and Hishiro instead of the rubbish from the first season. Maybe if this was longer it would have made for a better watch. But I am not one to fuss about something like this. I am no diehard fan so this was fine. You can expect technical aspects like art to stay constant too. I enjoyed this a lot more than the season before, mainly because of how sweet it was. 7/10. Was good, really was, but not the best but several miles.

DO NOT WATCH BEFORE READING THE MANGA!!! I really had to make a review to say the above words to warn everyone. This 4 episode skip a large part of the story [around 100 chapters] which is pretty much 90% of the development and what really makes this anime a tear jerker. Not only is a 100 or so chapters skipped but even remaining ending Arcs are stacked on top of each other interjoin to make 4 episodes so the story flaws in a different way to the manga. A lot of the development is skipped, its like presenting the couple being together without the development that got them there. I'd highly recommend if you just finished ReLife anime to start reading from VOLUME 6 until end and then watch this sequel Unfortunately we do lose animation value as it cheeps out onto main Area by having a…

After watching this anime, I realized that if there is a chance that I can relive my high school days again I will make it the a memorable one, so that I can think back on how fun and great my high school life was. The anime is great watching it made me connect with my past experiences and realized that memories are very precious and its up to you if you want keep those memories forever or let them fade, especially remembering the times that you had fun playing and talking to your friends, you confess to the person you liked and she said that she feels the same about you, etc. I really loved the ending because the girl remembered the guy the she fell in love with and those memorable times they spent together, it really pulled my heartstring when I saw that part, I was overjoyed because the…
